  1. Hel kid Tiki, though. Also, Muspell Tiki because of tiki torches.
  2. I don't really care so long as we get an axe cavalry, axe flier, or lance infantry demote. Preferably ones with stat spreads that are not the same damn ones since launch or early game. High offenses, magic tank, or balanced. A green mage demote would be fine too. Boey's the last green mage demote I think and Cecilia has been the only 3* to 4* summonable green cavalry mage since launch. We do have young Azura and picnic Leo as grail units, but summonable green mages would be nice too.
  3. I think one of my friends is going to be thrilled too. He has a +9 Caeda that I think he got her to around after resplendent heroes came into being. She's been waiting for that final merge from the FEH Pass. Clair would tempt me to get the FEH Pass. Clair and Cherche together would break me. Clair, Cherche, and Sonya all following each other as resplendent heroes would destroy me.
  4. Yes, because it means they don't have to give us a demote in the regular summoning pool or make certain skills, premium or otherwise, available in the regular summoning pool. We sure love our new dancers, lance infantry, and colorless mage demotes being locked to their seasonal banners, right?
  5. Xane in Grand Conquests would be a mess, but also probably really good. Units can clump together so much that it would not be difficult for him to get the highest stats from everyone. At the same time, if he's clumped together with a bunch of units who have stats lower than his which I think would be unlikely, he would be pretty bad. I'm guessing someone mentioned it before, but would regular Xane with whatever prf weapon he would have just have the same effect as joker Xane's Jokers Wild? It's like what he does in the games he appears and it's simple without him having to go through some weird hoops like Xane has a unique assist skill that he can use to Swap positions with a unit and copy their stats or something. Otherwise, there's Petra's Hunting Blade which has a similar, but less drastic effect: "At start of combat, if unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res < that of an ally within 2 spaces, grants +5 to unit's corresponding stat during combat. Calculates each stat bonus independently", which they could slap onto regular Xane and that might work better if he's a melee infantry since he would have a bit more stats to play around with.
  6. 5* Xane (+HP, -Atk) showed up. I think I might have gotten one of his better asset and flaw combos for unmerged Xane since not a lot of units have lower than 41 Atk; Xane's 27 base -Atk attack + 14 Mt tome = 41 Atk. He is reliant on being near allies for having a higher attack stat and stats in general, but it's not like he's dealing with -Spd or -Res, a superflaw, which I feel would be more problematic at least for survival if he's nowhere near allies. Xane being the first 4* summonable colorless mage and one with a prf tome as well is great, but he is the 4* focus, so I would have liked the other 5*-only exclusives as wild as Xane can be. In particular, werewolf F!Grima because I like her art or kid Tiki & Ninian since I don't have a harmonic hero. Xane and M!Corrin or Lilith would be fun with how their support partner effects work where M!Corrin can grant Xane a ton of stats both from his own raw stats and through unique refined Yato while Lilith can warp to wherever her support partner is allowing her to be nearby Xane and provide him with increased stats where Lilith's only lower stat than Xane's is HP. Kind of unfortunate that Mathilda's stats are the way they are in Heroes and Clive would not help Xane much by gearing him towards being a slow, physical tank. Xane and Leila could be crazy with how high Xane's attack/speed could be at the cost of lowering his defenses if he doesn't have anyone else nearby with at least comparable defenses to his.
  7. It just occurred to me since refined Valflame and refined Wargod's Tome no longer have a resistance check for their upgraded base effect that does it make the effect better or at least more reliable than Yune's Chaos Named? The range is already better by working horizontally which kind of does not matter as much in Aether Raids since Yune is a dark mythic, but the main thing is that Arvis and Saias can guarantee Atk/Res-5, two stats, primarily the resistance debuff, that Yune can take advantage of greatly, so long as foes are within the range of their tomes whereas Yune needs to pass a resistance check and Chaos Named may not inflict -5 on two stats if only one stat on the foe is the highest and not two or more stats. Arvis and Saias have the issue of not completely benefiting all allies since the upgraded base effect does not debuff speed which most units can take advantage of or defense which would benefit their physical damage allies. Part of this is mitigated by their default Ploys, Def Ploy for Arvis and Res Ploy for Saias, but regular Ploys, well, Ploys 3, only have the regular 1 column range in addition to needing to pass a resistance check. Perhaps in the future a Ploy 4 would have increased range, but I doubt it would be beyond 3 columns centered on the unit. For the purposes of Aether Raids, Chaos Named is works, but outside of Aether Raids, the fact she has to deal with another condition for Chaos Named, and that it may or may not inflict -5 on multiple stats does make it feel like Chaos Named is not as good or at least not as reliable than refined Valflame and refined Wargod's Tome. It's 400 dew, but refined Vaflame and refined Wargod's Tome look so useful. They are shutdown by penalty neutralization effects and debuffing attack means Atk/Def Unity will work and Chaos Ragnell for that matter which reverses all stat penalties, but even then because Chaos Ragnell and Unity do not neutralize penalties, the Blizzard effect still works. Point is that against units who do not have those things, the effect just working because foes are within its range seems too good to pass up. Hlidskjalf's unique refinement isn't groundbreaking or anything and I haven't found myself using CYL Veronica much, but it's useful and depending on how things go with the upcoming limited hero battles, I may want unique refined Garm for CYL Ephraim. Arvis, CYL Ephraim, Saias, and CYL Veronica would be 800 dew and I'm at a feather count where I don't really want to randomly 5* healers to refine their staves.
  8. Wait, how is Donnel's Hewn Lance bad compared to Effie's lance? Donnel is shoehorned into a Brave infantry when "everyone" wanted a Casa Blanca or enemy phase type lance for him, but Hewn Lance with its unique refinement effectively gives him a 15 Mt Brave Lance with Def+4 and follow-up prevention as bonuses. I get things like damage reduction, penalty neutralization or reversing, and such are all the rage and Brave units are dealing with higher and higher defenses, but Hewn Lance is pretty good and it's not like it was given to a unit with low attack. At worst, Donnel is a lance version of Ross with his default Brave Axe. That's fine and would have been better had lance infantry had more 3* to 4* summonable units or even a grail unit. The absolute worst thing I see with units getting weapons, good ones at that, that players do not want is that they have another option should they ever need it. Frederick comes to mind where his axe is great for when you absolutely need him or someone to crush armors, but if you already had invested in him to be an enemy phase unit with whatever axe, then he can still continue to use it and do well. An underwhelming or straight-up bad weapon is simply dead-weight and Hewn Lance is definitely not one of those. You want dead-weight? Go to Takumi who is about to get a Hel outfit for his resplendent.
  9. Apparently there is an error with the English description of Divine Tyrfing's unique refinement? It works based on the foe's HP and not Seliph's/Sigurd's.
  10. She is a zombie, but it would have been nice to have a 3* to 4* or grail red dragon who is decently fast. It's annoying and off-putting that adult Tiki, a launch unit, Garon, the first red dragon to be introduced as not a 5* exclusive, Bantu, the first new 3* to 4* summonable red dragon, and now jiangshi Ena all have the same stat spread. What is this? Alfonse, Chrom, Hinata, Laslow, and Seliph, but spread apart?
  11. Ashnard has 43 HP, 37 Atk, 21 Spd, 35 Def, and 31 Res and Gurgurant is a 16 Mt sword with the effects: "Neutralizes "effective against flying" bonuses. Grants Def+3. Inflicts Atk/Def-5 on foes within 2 spaces during combat." Ashnard is one of two sword fliers with built-in Iote's Shield. The other being Altina whose exclusive A passive Ashera's Chosen grants her Iote's Shield and Atk/Def Beast-Dragon Bond/Solo 3. Ashnard is also one of three grail unit fliers with Iote's Shield in some form. The other two is Michalis who simply has Iote's Shield and the other is Mininerva who has Dragoon Shield which also grants her Atk/Spd/Res+3. Both are axe fliers. Back to Altina, Ashnard shares a similar stat spread as her -- swapped defenses. Both are enemy phase units, but Altina's Ragnell-Alondite being a Brave weapon that works on both phases means she can do the usual player phase Brave a unit to death or as her default skill sets do: Counter, Vantage on enemy phase. So, an offensive tank. Ashnard's more defensive even though he can attack stack well to probably one-shot some squishier units. The other sword flier options who are not 5*-exclusive are Caeda, summer Fiora, and Palla. They're much faster than him, so they are more player phase focused, especially Palla whose Whitewing Blade has a Brave effect with its unique refinement. Although they can do enemy phase, but won't have his built-in Iote's Shield and have much lower defense than him and at best, only come close to his resistance where Caeda does beat him in base resistance, but loses in attack and defense; Caeda has 24/34 base neutral defenses to Ashnard's 35/31 without Gurgurant equipped. Gurgurant's Atk/Def Rein 4 essentially goes a long way in letting him deal damage and take as little damage as possible since in combat, he does exceed Caeda's resistance with an effective 35 resistance. When it's introduced, you could stack Atk/Def Rein 3 or 4. For 5* sword fliers, besides Altina, there's New Year's Hrid for a similar stat spread where NY Hrid is basically a gen 2 version of Ashnard and without a prf sword. NY Hrid has 42 HP, 38 Atk, 19 Spd, 36 Def, and 27 Res which results in -1 HP, +1 Atk, -3 Spd, +1 Def, and -4 Res compared to Ashnard. For a sword flier with similar defense, there's Laegjarn, Mirabiliis, and kind of New Year's Camilla who is more of jack of all trades. Laegjarn is more of player phase unit and she has significantly lower base resistance than Ashnard at 17 while Mirabilis is refresh unit. To sum, Ashnard is secured in a role that does not have a lot competitors in the sword flier pool. If you do use guides, I don't remember seeing a 5* Ashnard used much if at all. Part of it is probably his default skills compared to other units like Mininerva. Distant Def 3 and Even Atk Wave 3 are what they are, but Ashnard really wants Distant Counter, Guard, Quick Riposte, and in the future Atk/Def Rein. Jorge is a blue infantry archer with 45 HP, 36 Atk, 27 Spd, 35 Def, and 29 Res and Daniel-Made Bow is a 14 Mt bow with the effects: "Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Effective against flying foes. Grants Atk+5 to allies within 2 spaces during combat. Inflicts Atk-5 on foes within 2 spaces during combat." The closest comparison is legendary Chrom who has 41 HP, 42 Atk, 26 Spd, 34 Def, and 25 Res and whose Randgridr is a 14 Mt bow with the effects of: "Effective against flying and armored foes. Grants Atk+3. If foe's HP = 100% at start of combat, neutralizes penalties on unit and inflicts Atk/Def-6 on foe during combat." Legendary Chrom also has the exclusive assist skill To Change Fate! as his exclusive skill for being a legendary unit. To make it short, Jorge is a +Res, -Atk legendary Chrom who trades effective damage against armors, Atk+3, Atk-1 and Def-6 on his foe during combat, and penalty neutralization when he is fighting foes at full health for a Killer effect, Drive Atk 4 if that were to ever exist, and the attack debuff works against foes within 2 spaces of him, so allies can take advantage of it and he is not reliant on fighting foes at full health. Basically, although he does not To Change Fate! for even better support, Jorge is a more of a support unit to legendary Chrom who can deal a ton of damage. Jorge is also a bit more flexible in that while he sacrifices being able to neutralize penalties on him, he will always be able to take advantage of the attack debuff letting him be a more consistent tank than legendary Chrom. A Killer effect over effective damage against armors and Atk+3 does let proc specials faster and unlike having Time's Pulse, it's a permanent special cooldown count-1 that is not affected by Flash, Witchy Wand, Pulse Smoke, and similar effects. He can run Time's Pulse too if you want him to have something like charged Moonbow. Anyway, the similarities to legendary Chrom extends to two skills he would make very good use of and they are Close Counter and Lull Atk/Def given his bulk. Incidentally, legendary Chrom is currently the only unit with both of those skills, so a spare legendary Chrom can give both Close Counter and Lull Atk/Def 3 to Jorge. With Daniel-Made Bow's Drive Atk 4, you could give him Drive Atk 2 or Joint Drive Atk and a Drive Atk 2 seal to let him grant a lot of attack to allies within 2 spaces of him and in the case of Joint Drive Atk, also get an attack boost himself. Jorge is one of three blue infantry archers and the remaining one is legendary Lucina who is more of a player phase and position support unit to Jorge's enemy phase and stat support. As the accompanying CYL4 GHB unit, he does have gen 5 physical ranged BST, so that could help for scoring. He has been used a couple times as a 5* by guide makers, so there is also that. Petrine stat-wise is Perceval and Sirius available as a GHB unit. Petrine has 42 HP, 35 Atk, 37 Spd, 30 Def, and 24 Res. Comparatively, Perceval has 38 HP, 32 Atk, 37 Spd, 28 Def, and 27 Res resulting in -4 HP, -3 Atk, -2 Def, and +3 Res to Petrine and Sirius has 40 HP, 34 Atk, 37 Spd, 35 Def, and 16 Res resulting in -2 HP, -1 Atk, +5 Def, and -8 Res. So, Perceval has slightly better resistance and Sirius has higher defense, but lower resistance. Attack and speed she is them or even better. 37 speed ties her with the second-highest speed of lance cavalry as summer Cordelia still holds the seat with her 38 base neutral speed, but she shares Perceval's 32 base attack. Flame Lance is where Petrine distances herself from Perceval and Sirius whose prf lances both share a Killer effect while Flame Lance has Spd+3 instead. Their other effects are shared as well since both get Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 in some way. Perceval's Prized Lance grants him Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 and inflicts special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack if he fights a foe whose HP is full at the start of combat while Sirius's Sable Lance simply has Spectrum Solo. Flame Lance's other effects is effective damage against beasts and: "At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 50%, calculates damage using foe's Res, and inflicts Spd/Res-5 on foe during combat." So, she is going to target resistance against all foes instead of only foes who do not use a staff or magic like Hel, but unlike Hel, Petrine is able to mitigate the issue of hitting a foe whose resistance is very high by inflicting Res-5. There are only five units including Petrine who have effective damage against beasts. The others are CYL Eliwood, picnic Felicia, picnic Flora, and Petra. CYL Eliwood is also comparable mainly due to both having effective damage against beasts. CYL Eliwood's offenses are swapped Petrine's. He has 40 HP, 37 Atk, 35 Spd, 32 Def, and 18 Res which results in -2 HP, +2 Atk, -2 Spd, +2 Def, and -6 Res. Incidentally, like Perceval and Sirius, he also gets Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 in some way where Ninis's Ice Lance has Spectrum Blow and also Spd+3 and effective damage against dragons. This gives Petrine a niche in being a non-5* exclusive option for anti-beasts and being a physical damage unit who targets resistance because of her lance. Lull Spd/Res as she has on infernal difficulty would work well unless you just want her to take less damage instead of dealing more damage with Lull Atk/Spd. Compared to other grail lance units of Berkut, Camus, Clive, Conrad, Death Knight, Finn, and New Year's Laegjarn: Berkut, Clive, Conrad, and Death Knight are more enemy phase units or in Clive's case, he's more of an anti-armor and support partner unit, so it is not that fair to compare them to her. Camus, Finn, and NY Laegjarn are closer, but she still has higher attack and speed where Camus has a Distant Counter weapon even though his resistance is not that great for it, Finn comes with Brave Lance and only has 1 less base neutral attack than Petrine, and NY Laegjarn's Wagasa has Chill Def 3 and she also has Chill Res 3, so she can be a Chill bot. There's also Ferdinand who really got the short end of the stick where he shares her defenses, but has 1 less HP, 2 less attack, and 2 less speed. At least he comes with Reposition by default? If you have CYL Eliwood, Perceval, Sirius, or a heavily invested Ferdinand, then maybe Petrine on her own stats wouldn't really offer much besides effective damage against beasts. If you don't have them or really need more anti-beast units or don't have them, then Petrine would be good even just by getting her to 5*. She is a recent unit and a niche one at that, so I don't think she really has been used in guides. This is my own thoughts, but I feel like Ashnard and Jorge would be good investments or at least get them to 5* units. Ashnard does not have a lot of competition and he is among the several units who have neutralizes effective damage. Jorge can be a great stat manipulation bot and tank. He also has been used in a few guides, so if you ever need to use them, he might be there to help you. Although her offensives are high, Petrine is more niche and has more competition. I don't have Perceval or Sirius and I did want another anti-beast unit since my only one before her was CYL Eliwood, so she did become a 5* for me.
  12. Unique refined Divine Tyrfing is the first weapon I believe to have a doubled effect, thus, beating unique refined Durandal which was the closest to having a doubled effect. Unique refined Durandal has Death Blow 3 and Swift Sparrow 2 which you could consider as being close to having double Death Blow 3. Unique refined Divine Tyrfing has "At start of combat, if unit's HP >= 50%, grants Atk/Def+5 during combat" repeated twice. Granted, the unique refinement has an additional effect, but it is the same effect repeated twice giving Seliph and Sigurd Atk/Def+10 when their HP is >= 50%. Would have been nice its damage reduction been expanded to also work against healers. Rhajat's new tome is pretty neat. As noted by others, she is a ranged Kempf or a green mage version of Clarisse and Jaffar. The only problem which her fellow peers Shiro and Siegbert suffer from is that as cool as her new weapon is, she's not easily summoned. She is not in new hero summoning pools and unless you like her, you probably will not want be going out of your way to summon for her. At the very least her skills are rarer since Distant Def is still not in the 3* to 4* summoning pool along with Rally Atk/Def whereas Atk Tactic, Death Blow 3, Def Tactic, Dragon Fang, Steady Stance 3, and Swap are and she's the only unit with Keen Gronnwolf by default unlike F!Robin who must evolve her Gronnwolf. The upgraded base effects of Valflame and Wargod's Tome I understood to be like the range of Chaos Named, Imhullu, or Skadi. At the least, the wording made me think of Chaos Named's range, but the "and within 3 rows" makes me think of a cross type of range which is even better. Regardless, if it does work out well and isn't actually shortened range, it's fine. What I am not thrilled about even though it works is the unique refinement being the same Blizzard effect slapped onto Matthew's Spy's Dagger which immediately had to deal with Broadleaf Fan which can be inherited by other dagger units with significantly higher base attack than Matthew and then Ursula's Blue-Crow Tome. They were going to share effects as weird as it would be for a legendary tome to share with a made-up personal tome, but I was thinking an in-combat Atk/Res debuff could have worked too. So, Lull Atk/Res for a weaker, but field buff neutralizing capable effect or as strong as Mirage Tome's Atk/Res-6 within 2 spaces of the user. Effie's unique refinement is such a disappointment. The base effect is fine. Not that great, especially since the HP range could have been loosened to >= 25%. Except, I do not have a 5* Seliph with Divine Tyrfing or a Sigurd, so I did not see that Divine Tyrfing's upgraded base effect also has the same HP condition, but trades 1 attack for 5 defense. The best thing about the base effect when compared to her fellow armors who gained new weapons or effects is that it works on both phases, so she isn't purely enemy phase or player phase. The unique refinement is restrictive to say the least. My immediate thought was that this was worse than Dark Royal Spear and worse than Balmung and Blade/Spear of Shadows. They're primarily enemy phase, but can work on player phase against foes at full health which is less restrictive than it only works once per phase. I get she's not a CYL unit or even a recent unit, so she or anyone else it not likely to get something as crazy as unique refined Maltet, Ragnell-Alondite, unique refined Urvan, Wind Parthia, or whatever, but still, it should be all-right at worst or allows the unit to specialize in a specific role like Seth and Titania being T-Adept and Tactics units or Virion being a Sudden Panic bot. The unique refinement is simply disappointing. The base effect as the unique refinement along with the field buff neutralization and whatever as its replaced base effect would have worked out better I think. Going off of what she has in Fates, she does have a Brave Lance in her inventory at some point and her personal skill Puissance made me think of Heavy Blade 4. I guess they took the title "Army of One" too literally as the unique refinement only works one time per phase... Moving on, I feel like by virtue of having access to the weapon like Eliwood did with Blazing Durandal, Seliph definitely won big. Probably not as big as Eliwood since unique refined Blazing Durandal is a nutty sword, but unlike Eliwood, Seliph has access to two weapon with very different specializations. Regular Tyrfing allows Seliph to be obnoxious by preventing ORKOs if his HP is at least 50%, but does have a less than thrilling unique refinement of Atk/Def Bond 3 while Divine Tyrfing lets Seliph stack a lot of attack and defense and grants him Quick Riposte 5 on top of the usual damage reduction against mages. That said, had Rhajat been demoted instead of Soleil or demoted at all, I feel like she would have been the winner of this weapon update. A ranged Kempf or green mage version of Clarisse and Jaffar is pretty good as out of combat damage and inflicting counterattack prevention are useful. Unfortunately, she is not summonable as a 3* to 4* unit or able to be obtained as a grail unit. To that, she's more of a sleeper hit for people who do not have or want to invest the resources in getting her. Vaflame and Wargod's Tome are just good. Not much to say about them. It's just that it wasn't like Arvis or Saias gained access to second weapon or entered into a niche. They're as usual the Ploy Boys.
  13. What is a man? Dheginsea is the first mythic to debut as a seasonal and regular unit, right? I know that Grima is or can be considered a deity-like or god-like being, but Grima was unfortunately introduced too early as mythics were not a thing yet and with mythics being a thing, Dheginsea is someone who definitely is a mythic candidate. In particular, a dark mythic due to his dark affinity. Catgirl F!Grima is hilariously cute and evil-looking. The downsides is speaking of unfortunately being introduced too early, M!Grima at this point would have appreciated Dragonscale or even Dragonskin for an exclusive Svalinn Shield that also has a stance effect since Expiration has Distant Counter while the question of "What is even legendary about F!Grima?" grows ever stronger. First it was Ashera's Chosen providing the same Iote's Shield effect, but dual phase stat boost through Atk/Def Beast/Dragon Bond/Solo which could be excused by Altina being a mythic to F!Grima's legendary. Then came Mininerva with Dragoon Shield providing flat stat boosts instead of Bracing Stance 2. The drawbacks of having higher stats that can be affected by Chills and similar skills is there, but it allows Mininerva to be a more flexible unit which F!Grima's balanced stats would have liked. Even worse is that a similar effect trading -1 Def/Res for +3 Spd would be much appreciated for F!Grima. And now, a seasonal version of F!Grima who not only has gen 5 melee flying BST, but also has an improved version of Expiration and Dragonskin. So, what is legendary about F!Grima? Legendary and mythic units really should be exempt from apparently controversial changes. Xane was definitely not expected and I remember people talking about how he could be implemented because of Xane's abilities. Stat pull is interesting and Xane's is the first unit with HP+5 as part of a weapon's effect. Make sense since Xane pulls stats from nearby allies and a flat boost might not matter or could even be detrimental. On the subject of mythic alts, I have been wondering if maybe a lance-wielding Duma could be a thing for someone to show up with Duma's Lance. It could have happened with regular Berkut, Clive, Lukas, or Mathilda and they didn't even get the weapons or gear named after them e.g. Clive's Lance is a thing in SoV, but Clive received Lordly Lance in Heroes. Or even CYL Alm could have been a lance unit. It probably wouldn't make sense for Ferdinand or SoV Est and Palla and Rudolf has his own lance. The only remaining lance-wielding characters I can think of would be Mycen and Zeke. It isn't obtained on Celica's route, but I could see Conrad getting Duma's Lance if not Blessed Lance or Saunion as his prf when he's eventually part of an update as he was under Halcyon's care.
  14. I summoned my second copy of CYL Micaiah when I tried again to get Plumeria after waiting and seeing the new banner reveal -- she showed up if anyone is wondering. +Atk, -Res where the first copy was +Atk, -Def. I could merge because why not, but I have heard that Ground Orders is useful if you can set up the team for it. Problem is I don't really know what kind of team I would want to set up with Ground Orders. Because of her dark affinity, I slapped her, Naesala, Soren, and kinshi Hinoka on a dark defense team with my only two dark mythics Sothis and Yune. They're mainly there for lift reduction loss, but occasionally they can take out someone or even win in the stupidest of ways. CYL Micaiah's Ground Orders and kinshi Hinoka's default Flier Formation and Flier Guidance have allowed them to help cover or suddenly warp to a nearby ally. I have it set up so that kinshi Hinoka is within 2 spaces of Naesala who covers a vertical path and CYL Micaiah provides Soren with a Ground Orders buff. Couldn't really get Sothis or Yune that close without causing Naesala to not be able to transform or cramping everyone together, but I digress. The first merge, especially for a 5*-only unit, is useful, and aside from Ground Orders, there isn't much I really want from her. That said, she is fine unmerged, I have found her useful on Chain Challenges with maps that have a lot of armors and cavalry, but she hasn't been used much recently because she capped her SP and I don't really have much I would want to dump on her.
  15. I was waiting for the upcoming banner reveal to decide if I wanted to chase after Plumeria, after an overdue, new Astra mythic, and a refresh unit at that. The new Halloween banner is wild, I do like the characters on there, especially the ones who made their debut in Heroes, but Astra season is awful. So, put my orbs on the table and hoped for the best. Fortunately, Plumeria showed up and also, CYL Micaiah who showed up before her. That's it for Plumeria's banner. A shame that legendary Celica didn't show up along with Julian, Lif, or legendary Seliph who I do not have.
  16. The feathers on the right made me think of Lewyn and the one on the left for some reason made me think of Lysithea who considering her love of sweets and Halloween candy would be totally make sense in having a Halloween alt.
  17. I am late on this, but the recent Grand Conquests was awful on the first infernal difficulty. I got memed on by a +Spd Arthur in one round and a CYL Edelgard almost soloed me. I think that was the closest I have ever gotten to the enemy team wiping out my camps and fortress. The incident with Arthur made me realize something and that Arthur with Atk/Spd Unity or any Unity really could stack a ton of stats. The unique refinement on Arthur's Axe trades penalty neutralization for +1 to his stats compared to Brunnya's Fimbulvetr and Idunn's Demonic Breath. Arthur can potentially get +8 to his stats with both effects in play, but he is reliant on field buffs for the base effect which Panic would ruin, there is the possibly of his axe not being able to even out the debuffs if not still ending up with a net loss depending on how severe the debuffs were and if he was inflicted with Panic with +6 stat field buffs, and by not addressing the penalty, he is susceptible to weapons like Blizzard, unique refined Blue-Crow Tome, Broadleaf Fan, unique refined Gloom Breath, Light of Dawn, unique refined Saizo's Dagger, and unique refined Spy's Dagger. Anyway, so maybe not that great at the time and maybe still now because of the issue of not actually addressing the penalty. But then berserk Ike was introduced with Chaos Ragnell's penalty reversing effect and CYL Dimitri introduced the Unity line of skills. They are in a similar situation as Arthur where they do not neutralize penalties on them which can be taken advantage in some way, but being able to reverse penalties to such a degree means they can stack a ton of stats. Arthur would be able to use any of the Unity skills really. The problem would be getting debuffs on those stats since his stats aren't really that high. +Spd Arthur with his unique refined axe has 46 HP, 48 Atk, 32 Spd, 30 Def, and 24 Res; subtract 3 for -HP or -Res and 4 for -Def. He's a 3* to 4*, so it can be easy to merge him where at +10, he would have 50 HP, 52 Atk, 36 Spd, 34 Def, and 28 Res. With even more investment through 15 Dragonflowers, he would have 53 HP, 55 Atk, 39 Spd, 37 Def, and 31 Res. Still, probably could have trouble attracting Chills and Chill-like effects unless you deliberately set him in range of a Ploys or have him be affected by Sabotages. Nevertheless, his unique refinement effect and a Unity would be able to grant him a net gain of +17 to two stats with -7 debuffs on the two applicable stats of the Unity he is running; 5 (unique refinement) + 5 (within 2 spaces of ally) + 7 (net gain of penalty reversing) = 17. He would also be able to get an additional +3 from the base effect with a field buff on him, but with Panic in play, it would not work and at worst with I guess a Panicked +6 field debuff, he'd have -6 to whatever stat which would take away from the stat boosts of his unique refinement and a Unity; I think -1 with only the unique refinement, +4 with Unity if it targets one of the stats, but it's not debuffed, and up to +11 with a -7 field debuff on one of the two stats of the Unity he is running. On another note, I am wondering if perhaps someone showing up with Hardy Bearing 4: "Disables foe's skills that change attack priority", on their weapon, as an exclusive skill, or even introducing Hardy Bearing as a skill itself might not be too crazy nowadays. Bypassing Vantage and ruining Desperation, Holy War's End, and unique refined Urvan's forced follow-up when initiating against CYL Ike while still being able to have Desperation, Vantage, or a similar skill.
  18. In the case of prfs, many of them are Brave, Firesweep, or Killer Bows. Gordin, Klein, and legendary Leif all have prf Brave Bows where Gordin's inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foes within 2 spaces of him in combat, Klein has a speed prf Brave Bow with Chill Def 3 as its unique refinement, and legendary Leif has the Meister-style of Brave weapons that can Brave on enemy phase along with its weird player's hands-only follow-up denial effect. Firesweep Bow has Clarisse and Eleonora are the closest since Clarisse's Sniper's Bow and Eleonora's Mirage Longbow aren't true Firesweep Bows in the sense of working as long as Null C-Disrupt is not in play. Clarisse needs to pick the unique refinement for a HP and support partner's position dependent Firesweep effect while Eleonora needs to be faster than her foes which is beginning to become a problem with only 37 base neutral speed and even with a +Spd superasset. Clarisse also is an archer and much cheaper version of Jaffar since Sniper's Bow and Deathly Dagger, especially refined Deathly Dagger, inflicts out of combat damage. Her Firesweep effect works on all types of units, but is more finicky compared to Jaffar's only working on mages. Killer Bow has CYL Claude, Igrene, Jorge, Leon, Niles, Rebecca, and Shinon. CYL Claude is the only-non infantry or armor archer, so he cannot run a Special Spiral build, but he, Jorge, and Shinon can also double as enemy phase units with how their bows work; CYL Claude has sustain, Jorge's Daniel-Made Bow's in-combat debuff works at all times unlike legendary Chrom's Randgridr requiring he fights foes at full health in return for also debuffing defense and neutralizing penalties on him, and Shinon's Double Bow has Spectrum Close Counter Solo. Niles and Rebecca don't have the highest attack compared to the others. The noteworthy player phase bows that don't have a Brave, Firesweep, or Killer effect would be legendary Alm's Luna Arc, Bernadetta's Persecution Bow, and legendary Chrom's Randgridr. Luna Arc allows legendary Alm to deal damage, but if I recall correctly, it still falls off compared to Brave Bow at a certain point, Bernadetta's Persecution Bow has a more lenient Desperation effect that also grants her Atk/Spd+5 when she's not at full health or has a debuff on her, and while he needs to fight foes at full health to inflict Atk/Def-6 and neutralize penalties on him, the combined effects of Randgridr and legendary Chrom's stats can let him player phase by simply hitting freaking hard. For enemy phase, support, or more specialized prf bows, Faye's unique refined Bow of Devotion specializes her as tank against ranged units with its Distant Spectrum and Quick Riposte 5, Jeorge's unique refined Parthia specializes him into being an anti-ranged unit by stacking attack and using Vantage at low health, you could do turn 3 shenanigans with multiple fallen Takumi and his Skadi, and Virion's Dignified Bow has Sudden Panic 3 which is worth it enough to just 5* Virion, have him learn it, and slap HP+5 or whatever to make him a Sudden Panic bot. Setsuna's Yumi does specialize her into being an anti-range unit and she can neutralize attack and speed penalties, but her bulk isn't as great as Faye's and could have slightly less attack without a field buff than Jeorge in return for being faster and more flexible her unique refinement works on non-ranged units as well. Everything else falls under it's just a prf. At best, they function and that's fine; at worst, they're for scoring. We don't have a -blade Bow, a Blizzard bow, or even a prf Short Bow which probably would end up also being a Killer Bow as well, but a Killer effect and +10 damage when triggering a special would be pretty good paired with Special Spiral provided the unit is an infantry or even an armor unit or isn't, but has it as well like Dark Mystletainn having a Killer effect and Special Spiral. Unique refined Mulagir which also brings to mind Gratia as both have Dull Ranged 3 are neat in being able to neutralize field buffs on ranged foes, but for CYL Lyn, her defenses even with the unique refinement's speed check for Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 wouldn't be as high as another unit whose stats are more enemy phase while Gratia only has Dull Ranged which for an anti-ranged unit, Distant Def 4 would do the same thing, except only on enemy phase in return for freeing up the archer's B passive and granting Def/Res+8 against ranged units. With inheritable bows, I guess Budding Bow could be good for player phase with its Sturdy Blow 2 and follow-up denial in select cases. Except, I can't really think of any since we don't have a 3* to 4* archer with very high base neutral attack (+40) or an archer with a guaranteed follow-up effect that makes me think of Galeforce units like Eliwood, regular Tibarn, or CYL Roy where the follow-up denial is to make sure they don't die from a second counterattack if they fail to ORKO their target. Fiddlestick Bow (Close Guard 3), Fortune Bow (Sabotage Def/Res), and Kabura Ya (Chill Spd 3) would be good for support. The only problem is that you'd likely want those bows on a refresh unit and there's only two currently: soiree Nephenee and Lightfoot Quan. Neither of them have the resistance really for Fortune Bow. We also don't have a mythic archer where if you don't find their prf or them useful or are using two copies of them that giving them an inheritable support bow might be useful. A Distant Guard bow would be nice. They're the only bow refresh units unless I forgot someone, but I could see soiree Nephenee and Lightfoot Quan being able to use Candlewax Bow to stack stats to draw Chills or Chill-like effects. Neutral soiree Nephenee has 37 HP, 35 Atk, 36 Spd, 25 Def, and 24 Res. With Candlewax Bow+, she would have 37 HP, 50 Atk, 39 Spd, 28 Def, and 27 Res. For pure attack and speed Chill soaking, L&D3 would bring her up to 55 Atk and 44 Spd. A speed refinement would bring her up to 46 Spd. Fury would be less effective at soaking attack and speed debuffs and might not be enough to help with drawing defense and resistance debuffs. Fortress Def/Res 3 would worsen her ability to draw attack debuffs, but she might be able to get away with drawing speed, defense, and resistance debuffs; Fortress Def/Res 3 would give her 48 Atk, 39 Spd, 34 Def, and 33 Res and add the appropriate stat boost with whatever refinement the player feels like. Lightfoot Quan has 40 HP, 41 Atk, 20 Spd, 36 Def, and 20 Res. A bit of a shame that he is a blue bow instead of a colorless archer since he has the highest attack of all flying archers and with Rein skills being a thing, Brave Bow+, Death Blow 3/4, and Atk/Def Rein 3 would be pretty chaotic and fun, but I digress. His high attack and defense would work well to draw attack and defense debuffs to him. With Candlewax Bow+, he would have 40 HP, 56 Atk, 23 Spd, 39 Def, and 23 Res. Fury would make him a bigger attack debuff target while improving his defense and a bit of resistance. Fortress Def/Res 3 would hurt his ability to draw attack debuffs, but he could get to a point where he would be able to draw resistance debuffs as well; Fortress Def/Res 3 gives him 54 Atk, 45 Def, and 29 Res. With a resistance refinement, he would have 32 Res which while not the highest resistance, could still work. The problem is that both are seasonal, so it would not be easy to merge them like the other 3* to 4* refresh units for even more stats. Kabura Ya would be simpler with its Chill Spd 3 while neither of them have the resistance to make good use of Fortune Bow's Sabotage Def/Res. Fishie Bow+ being an inheritable bow does mean it has 12 Mt without an attack refinement, but it does free up the B slot for archers. For cavalry and infantry archers, that means they could have both Desperation and Lull Spd/Def and flying archers could have Desperation and Spd/Def Rein. In the case of cavalry, Bernadetta already does this with her Persecution Bow being an example of a prf bow with Desperation built-in and her offenses are currently the highest tied with Sue who is a green bow cavalry and without a prf bow. If Persecution Bow were like Talregan Axe with its no HP requirement Desperation and Swift Sparrow 2.9, Bernadetta would be even crazier since she would only need to initiate instead of needing to have a debuff or not be at full health.
  19. Time's Pulse isn't a permanent special cooldown reduction like a Killer effect, but with Wo Dao and Time's Pulse, Open the Future will be a 2 cooldown at the start of Lif's turn if it's at its 3 cooldown charge. That is to say: Wo Dao+ (defense refine, inherited) [Assist] Open the Future (default) Distant Counter (default) Deadly Balance (default) Time's Pulse (default) Steady Posture 2? / Steady Stance 3 / Sturdy Stance 2 / flexible This would be pretty cheap since all you would need to do is inherit Wo Dao+ from someone which is about a 20k feathers investment unless you have a spare 5* Athena, Karel, or Marisa lying around, learn it, and refine it. When Lif triggers Open the Future, Wo Dao would deal 10 damage on top of 50% of Lif's defense and restore his HP by 25% of the damage dealt. +Def Lif has 37 base defense, so on player phase without buffs, that's 18 damage (Open the Future) + 10 (Wo Dao). On enemy phase with Steady Stance 3 as his seal, 21 damage (Open the Future) + 10 (Wo Dao), or with Sturdy Stance 2, 20 damage (Open the Future) + 10 (Wo Dao). The draw backs are as noted, it's not a permanent special cooldown reduction, so with Lif being a defense team, Open the Future would be at normal 3 cooldown until his turn, Flash/Witchy Wand, Pulse Smoke, or other special cooldown reset would bring it back to 3 cooldown until Lif's next turn, and it means his C passive is locked to Time's Pulse which you could consider as a selfish skill since it only benefits him unlike Def Smoke or whatever. It's not an Alfonse & Sharena, Special Spiral build, but Slaying Edge, Wrath, and Time's Pulse would allow for charged Open the Future if he's in Wrath range. It's might not work well since Open the Future will heal him by 25% of the damage he deals.
  20. Perhaps Bryce or Tauroneo? They, along with Greil when he was still Gawain and Lanvega were Daein's Four Riders or still is in Bryce's case. I have stated this in the past about wanting to see older characters like Greil, Gunter, and Jagen when they were younger and likely in their prime, so they could do that with Bryce, Tauroneo, and Lanvega who I think they would need to make up something for him. At least for Greil, when he was younger and still used the name Gawain, he used a different weapon; Greil used swords before the incident with the medallion where he favored his axe Urvan afterwards. Bryce has the Wishblade and is a general, so at best if they don't give him a different weapon, a younger Bryce could be an infantry or cavalry. I don't know if Tauroneo is associated with some weapon and as noted, Lanvega they would need to make up something. Other than making up a weapon and putting someone like Elincia, Micaiah, or whoever, I guess one of the Laguz rulers, so legendary versions of Caineghis, Naesala, Nailah, or Tibarn, or maybe a pre-Serenes Massacre Rafiel when he was able to fly.
  21. Time's Pulse might be better for both if you want to spam their specials. When the conditions for Time's Pulse 3 is fulfilled: "At start of turn, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1", both Imperial/Regnal Astra and Lunar Flash become 1 cooldown specials. That means both of them just need to double to proc their unique special. For legendary Alm who is a player phase unit, that's really useful since he doesn't need Flashing Blade against units who do not have a Guard effect. For Shannan, he can with his default Wrath have charged Imperial Astra when he's in Wrath range. Shannan's more of a tank who leans towards physical damage tanking, so he might want a different B passive than Special Spiral including Spurn which I feel like his speed is shaky even with investment. His default Wrath is fine for damage. For C passive, Atk Smoke, Spd Smoke, or whatever you want for him and his team works well if you are looking for him to focus more on tanking than blowing up units with Imperial Astra. Do note that Special Spiral does not stack with Time's Pulse, so don't inherit both unless you have two different builds planned for the unit. Other than units who have Vantage through their weapon which is only Kronya I think since Ares and Eldigan have the reverse where they have Special Spiral through Dark Mystletainn, Special Spiral is good on units that can charge their specials quickly in some way. New Year's Alfonse & Sharena, Ophelia, and Sonya are infamous for this. Less so on Sonya since she only has Quickened Pulse 2 on unique refined Dark Excalibur compared to NY Alfonse & Sharena and Ophelia who have a Killer effect and whatever special charging effect. Sonya guarantees 10 damage with Dark Excalibur's Wo Dao effect, but a Killer effect would have allowed her to have charged 3 or 4 cooldown special throughout the battle unless I'm misunderstanding something. On turn 1, though, she can have a charged 3 or 5 cooldown special and maybe that's all that matters. Like Sonya, Navarre also has Quickened Pulse 2 through unique refined Scarlet Sword and you could do a Special Spiral build with him, but his attack isn't that great and unique refined Scarlet Sword's Killer effect and Quickened Pulse 2 shines in allowing him to Galeforce with just one hit if he has Flashing Blade or two without it. By default, Lewyn works like this with Forseti's >= 50% HP Desperation effect allowing him to get a 2 cooldown special on his second hit or charge an AoE special easily with Flashing Blade. Fallen Mareeta also has the same Desperation effect and Athena and Lyn have Desperation 3 on their weapons. There's also a Special Spiral build for the Black Knight/Zelgius where with Slaying Edge, he can have charged Black Luna. Back in the day, vanguard Ike with Special Spiral was a build some people did. Not sure how effective it is now. Other than them, Special Spiral on other ranged units for AoE special spamming. So, archers and dagger units with a Killer effect on their weapon or mages like Lilina who can reach very high attack if they don't have a Killer effect or special charging effect. I have seen some people give Brunnya Special Spiral and Noontime, Sol, or Aether for sustain. Besides a slow healer with high resistance since they can't inherit skills like Fury, I can't think of anyone who would really, really want Atk/Res Push. Maybe Gangrel since Levin Dagger does scale off of his resistance and in combat. Brunnya if you want her to be more of a magic damage tank?
  22. I was about to ask, but I made sure to check. Sort of two questions that was answered by one. For legendary Leif, besides a -breaker of choice for certain maps, Lull Atk/Def, Vantage, and Wings of Mercy which at worst would be for Resonant Battles or HM farming, the only other B passive that comes to mind he would want to inherit is Escape Route. Either I experienced it or saw it somewhere; through recoil damage or whatever damage he takes, legendary Leif can attack, charge Njorun's Zeal if it was not already charged, and then warp out with Escape Route to safety or to an ally who is conveniently in a position for him to take out another foe. Keeping his Atk/Res Push 4 is fine, but pairing Escape Route with Fury would work as well; Fury would trade Atk/Res+4 for Spd/Def+3 and working when he's under 25% HP which would allow him to retain the Atk+3 when he's below 25% HP on maps with longer engagements. Other than Escape Route, I can't think of any other B passive he would really want. I had a regular Dimitri show up in the Despair and Hope banner. Spare copy, was -Atk, became a manual, and the first copy who is neutral is doing fine with a Galeforce build that I don't feel like a merge is that needed when regular Dimitri can give Death Blow 4 and Lull Atk/Def 3. I had asked and wondered a while back that if I had a spare regular Dimitri who would want really want Death Blow 4 and Lull Atk/Def 3. I didn't have legendary Leif at the time, but I did have legendary Ephraim who more or less functions like regular Dimitri. I don't use legendary Ephraim much outside of Arena Assault when it's fire season and unlike regular Dimitri, he would require inheriting those skills along with Galeforce while I just needed to inherit Galeforce on regular Dimitri, but I digress. Legendary Leif being the only ranged unit with Galeforce of some kind and him having Meisterbogen makes me feel like Death Blow 4 and Lull Atk/Def 3 would be a definite good inheritance. Other than him or legendary Ephraim, I can't think of anyone else who I would really want to use the regular Dimitri manual immediately. There's Gordin and Klein for Brave Bow infantry where Klein would rather have Lull Spd/Def, perhaps Gangrel, Kagero, or Sothe; Frederick for pure armor smashing, but CYL Hector has built-in Svalinn Shield now, and Luke for meme reasons i.e. no, I will not heavily invest in Luke. Also, Meisterhardt who is +7, but his default Death Blow 3 and Vantage 3 are fine. Close Counter/Close Foil would be interesting on legendary Leif due to Meisterbogen's dual phase Brave effect, but with damage reduction skills, him targeting defense instead of resistance, and legendary Leif feeling more player phase than enemy phase, probably not worth it compared to a unit that is more for enemy phase, has better bulk, or who can reach very high attack on enemy phase.
  23. The game refused to give me red orbs until three full summons in and even then, no red focus unit showed up. Didn't get Plumeria, but I did get a Duma merge and two copies of legendary Leif. The first legendary Leif was +Spd, -Atk which was fine since it was the first time he showed up, but the second one showing up as +Spd, -Res was great so that I could merge to get rid of either -Atk or -Res. I went with +Spd, -Res as the base. Late to the Leif train, but damn, he's good. I want Plumeria or any future Astra mythic, but I don't know if I want to dump more orbs into this banner. Three focus units and one of them I wanted who I did not have was a good haul I guess is the word, but Plumeria, the third Astra mythic to be introduced, the first Astra ranged unit, and a refresh unit. Also, kind of want legendary Celica as well. Going to wait until the upcoming banner is revealed.
  24. More Distant Counter for the nth, +10 copies of Ares, CYL Edelgard, CYL Ike, Laevatein, and possibly Seliph or Sigurd depending on what happens with Divine Tyrfing's unique refinement. Or Time's Pulse for the nth, +10 copies of legendary Alm, Ayra, Barst, CYL Lysithea, Navarre, Ogma, or whoever. She died -- I think -- in the recent chapter, it made sense, and Astra mythics needed a third unit, especially a ranged unit or refresh unit. I would like for her to show up because Astra season is annoying to say the least. Altina's useful when she can Distant Counter, Vantage and kill things, but Naga's just there for scoring and the occasional effective damage on Duma. Legendary/Mythic banners have been meh, so I do not expect her or anyone on the banner to show up. Along with her, legendary Celica, legendary Leif, and Lif are the ones I want to most. I don't have them, but regardless, legendary Celica and legendary Leif are self-explanatory. I do not have Lif and he would be useful for Mjolnir's Strike or maybe if I some miracle happens and I get a ton of copies of him, having him replace someone including possibly Duma for Anima defense and being able to inherit Distant Counter and Time's Pulse to someone would be neat. Problem is that only Barst comes to mind as with unique refined Devil Axe, Wrath, and Time's Pulse, he would be able to have charged Bonfires. Distant Counter is a bonus as he does have the bulk to survive mages, but Sturdy Impact would be better for wrathful player phase destruction. A Vantage seal would be wonderfully chaotic for him, regular and LA Hector, and others, but I digress. Similarly, I don't have Julian or legendary Seliph, but they are on a lower priority. Julian has better offenses than Sothe, but he's a 5* exclusive to Sothe's 3* to 4*. Skill-wise, Close Foil and Lull Atk/Spd would be great on someone. Problem is that Close Foil and Spendthrift Bow works out better for archers like Norne and Lull Atk/Spd or whatever can be inherited from someone else later. Cecilia doesn't really have the speed to benefit from Lull Atk/Spd as much as she would from Lull Atk/Res, Jeorge's bulk is good enough he can use Close Counter and you can get that and Lull Atk/Def from a spare legendary Chrom with emphasis on spare since legendary Chrom is really good, Close Foil completes unique refined Naga's Dragon Counter, but similarly to Cecilia, Julia's speed isn't that great for Lull Atk/Spd to be that helpful compared to Lull Atk/Res, and Kronya would rather have some other B passive than Lull Atk/Spd. I guess Brunnya or Saizo would be the best options? More copies of Duma, legendary Ephraim, Lilith, legendary Lucina, CYL Micaiah, and copy of Yune would be fine too. I don't want to spend fruits to change Yune's +HP, -Res to anything that is not +HP and -Res.
  25. It's a rough situation where some unit types simply don't have a lot of people, but at the same time, if they are not introduced such as with axe cavalry or arguably mishandled which is my opinion of some of the axe fliers, then it makes me feel like maybe a somewhat unpleasant solution should be considered. I don't think they should do something like introduce a bunch of Chrom alts in the regular summoning pool where he's an axe cavalry, bow cavalry, lance cavalry, and lance infantry, his remaining classes he can be in Awakening that were not already covered such as paladin Chrom being a sword cavalry and legendary Chrom being a bow infantry, as a way to fill in unit types. At the same time, maybe here and there it would be fine if say, we had PoR and RD Titania where the first one we got, PoR Titania is a support, Tactics and anti-blue unit with her Draconic Poleax while RD Titania is also a demote with say, Perceval's stat spread with Poleax, Sol, Spd/Def Solo 3 as a 5*, and Dull Close 3 as a 4*. She introduces Poleax into the regular summoning pool and makes Spd/Def Solo and Dull Close available in the 3* to 4* summoning pool; players would need to 5* her for Spd/Def Solo 3 while Dull Close 3 can now be inherited without needing to use summer Cordelia, a seasonal unit, Cormag, a grail unit, or regular Edelgard who is a 5*-exclusive. Firesweep Axe, Guard Axe, "Spirited Axe" or whatever they would call a regular summoning pool inheritable version of Huge Fan, or even Reprisal Axe would be more appealing if they want to be more generous. Seasonal units do help in being able to give us units as alts in whatever classes, but if for whatever reason they're the same as their regular selves like summer Ingrid or bride Tharja or introduced as unit types that are common like any seasonal lance cavalry or lance flier at this point, then that doesn't help. As it stands, axe cavalry and axe fliers have about 7 units each. That's not a lot compared to other unit types, but still more than others like bow armors, bow fliers, and dagger cavalry. Regardless, they are going to hit a point where they don't have any other units without needing to dip into things like reclassed units, making up things, or even introducing the same character.
