  1. Germany's poor performance didn't surprise me at all since how badly they played the past games. Also there's sth. good from this loss: It was quiet for me. ;) Fun fact: I find it hilarious that more tickets were sold than people are in the stadium acutally. I Never have been seen as empty stadiums in a WC as in Russia. But I'm talking about Russia, so I guess this is the answer already.
  2. It was the first time I pulled a colourless orb from the bride banner... and I paid for it! > 5* Nanna CRAP Banner is done. Will save my upcoming orbs from TT for future banners.
  3. #12 Jill level 14 dracoknight skills: - affinity: thunder bases (growths) HP: 24 (50%) strength: 11 (45%) magic: 1 (15%) skill: (45%) speed: 15 (65%) luck: (60%) defense: 13 (35%) resistance: 3 (45%) ___________________ with transfers (str, skl, spd, def) bases 8 / 10 (30%) With her bases she'll be able to double almost everyone and take multiple physical hits. Her strength is still too low to use steel axes without AS penalty, but a forged axe fixes it. growths 7 / 10 (20%) Her growths remind more on a pegasus Knight, but it's not bad at all. With her high speed she can constantly double and has the ability to avoid attacks. Her strength growth is her only weakness, but it can be fixed with forged weapons and bexp. usefulness 10 / 10 (50%) Jill is easily the best growth unit in the game because of her mobility and combat. Unlike Haar she rather fulfills the pegasus knight type by having very high speed and luck growth. She hasn't Haar's tankiness, but instead she has the speed to double and the strength to kill. To make her useful easrly on she needs: angelic robe from 1-4 to take at least three physical hits and two magical hits forged axe she can ORKO everything aside of myrmidons and knights since her defense growth isn't her best she could also use the draco shield to improve her enemy phase In part 3 she's the best user of beastfoe since she can get a free kill with hand axes in each turn. An alternative would be paragon for her, if she's tanky enough to take two hits (could use Rafiel's angelic robe). Promote her early to let her destroy the game. She could even solo part 4. Her better speed growth and cap is the main reason why she's better than Haar in endgame. And I consider Jill more useful than Haar overall since she's member of the "weakest" party. Overall 8.8 ___________________ without transfers bases 6 / 10 Her bases aren't spectular at all. Her HP and strength are actually bad for her class and level. With her base speed she can only double the enemies which do the most damage to her (mages and Knights), and steel lance Ppgasus knights. She can take two physical hits aside of steel axes which makes her a semi-decent enemy phase unit. Her biggest plus is her mobility. growths 7 / 10 usefulness 8 / 10 Jill's lower speed is a huge problem for her because she can only double the minority. At least with a forged axe she can ORKO steel lance pegasus knights, but not more. She needs at least two speed points by bexp. to double constantly. If she got it, she Can ORKO also fighters. I don't think she can ORKO soldiers with 11 base strength and forged axe, so needs the energy drop to get fixed. Then she needs the draco shield to have almost the stats as she had with transfer boosts. Then she gets the ressources as mentioned in the rating above. Jill needs more ressources early on, but she'll reach the same perfomance as she would have with transfers. overall 7.2
  4. Idk if it's common, but that's how I would rate a unit: When does the unit join? How are their bases and what's their class? How is the difficulty in the chapter / part they join? How is their ability (applies especially to FE10)? How are their growthrates? Checking ressources => How much must be invested (bexp., status items, forged weapons, skills) to make a unit (more) usable and much will it be paid off? Sothe joins early in the probably most difficult part in the game. He's the first unit who can take more than 1-2 hits and prepare / even oneround enemies. Of course he's not as essential as in hard mode, but still carries the DB through part 1 and also part 3. Elincia is an unique and amazing class. She 's a fantastic offensive unit with her brave silver sword and the only flying healer in the game. In 2-P she's absolutely needed to weak enemies and heal Marcia, and also needed in combat and healing for 2-F (unless you want to oneturn with Haar). She Returns underleveled in part 4, but paragon will catch her up. It's even easier for her in normal mode since she can double and ORKO enemies faster to get faster experience. With her caps she's able to ORKO the spirits and even an inside aura.
  5. I see. Was thinking of hard mode. I haven't played NM for more than a couple of years, so Idr the enemies's stats. However I know that Edward is much more usable in normal than in hard since he doesn't have to rely on strength and speed level ups in early as much as he has to in hard.
  6. Sanaki joins late with low bases. Sure, she has amazing potential for being able to double auras, but it's not paid as well as it would be for Jill. Giffa joins extremly late. He is as powerful as Cain, but he needs one more turn to have Cain's perfomance. Leonardo's is a bit underrated imo, but defenitely not good enough for being mid tier. His bases are fine but his growths are terrible. He's good in 2-3 chapters in part 1 and decent when he has Lughnasadh, but his combat isn't great overall, at least until he has Lughnasadh. Well, I take Naesala from my list, but I wouldn't rank him as third best unit in FE10. He's the weakest Laguz for only having S-strike and he can't ORKO everyone unlike Tibarn.
  7. On which difficulty is this tierlist based? Also here are the results of a tierlist from the last year voted by people from ths forum. ranked way too low Elincia Sothe (without him part 1 wouldn't be possible in hard mode) ranked too low Janaff Ulkie Ranulf ranked too high Giffca Sanaki Danved Leonardo (he's not better than Edward)
  8. Laura is very useful in part 3, so definitely no low tier Tormod's and Vika's bases are good enough for part 1, they've more uses than Bastian who mainly exists to recruit Volke Muarim is the only one of the trio who's usable in 4-4. Ranulf and Janaff are high tier / up mid tier at least. Their bases are great to (almost) ORKO enemies. Elincia is top tier, mobile healer and a fantastic offensive unit. She Can OKRO an aura. Sure, she joins underleveled in part 4, but paragon fixes it, and that's really the only ressource she needs.
  9. .5I start with Zihark first because Jill gives me a very hard time judge (without Transfers) # 11 Zihark skills: adept affinity: earth bases (growths) HP: 30 (55%) strength: 17 (35%) magic: 6 (10%) skill: 22 (75%) speed: 23 (70%) luck: 11 (40%) Defense: 13 (25%) resistance: 11 (35%) bases 8 / 10 (30%) Zihark comes with top bases for being promoted. He can ORKO everyone aside of knights (if adept is not activated) and take 2-3 physical hits and 3 magical hits for having the best resistance of all physical units in part 1. growths 6.5 / 10 (20%) His skill and speed growth are superb, but his physical growths aren't impressive at all. A trained Edward would have tied strength and defense when he reaches Zihark's base level and surpass him. Edward's better physical growths are preferable for me even if his Zihark's higher resistance will come Handy in endgame. usefulness 7 / 10 (50%) Zihark kills almost everything in part 1 and is tanky enough to take two hits by most enemies in 1-E. As for Sothe he'll get 2RKO'ed by tigers, but he has the big advantage of having earth affinity. With at least B Support in earth and resolve in 3-6 he will become almost invisible which makes a so much better enemy phase unit than Edward. The only problem for him could be if a cat attacks him first and can't bring him to resolve mode, so a tiger could kill him. Edward beats Zihark in physical growths, but Zihark's bases and affinity make him much easier to use than him. In endgame he will be outclassed by Edward in strength and Defense. Adept is a great skill for a speedy unit like him because it's based on speed in FE10. He Can activate it like each fourth time and could Combine it with other skills like vantage and resolve. overall 7.2 / 10 @ping That's a fair point. Will take it into account
  10. Laguz could take the colour against whose magic type they're weak. beast laguz / taguel / FE14's beasts: green bird laguz: blue dragon laguz: red
  11. 35#10 Volug level 15 wolf, beast laguz skills: halfshift, howl affinity: earth bases (growths) HP: 49 (95%) strength: 11 (25%) magic: 2 (15%) skill: 12 (35%) speed: 13 (40%) luck: 13 (95%) defense: 9 (15%) resistance: 5 (10%) bases 10 / 10 (35%) Thanks to halfshift his stats are perfect to tank and weak the enemies. He's even slightly stronger than Sothe, so he might ORKO more enemies. growths 4 / 10 (15%) As typical for Laguz their growthrates are poor. However it must be taken into account that their stats are doubled when fully transformed. usefulness 9 / 10 (50%) Volug comes with terrific bases. He's basically Sothe, only with higher movement and not being able to counterattack from range. His only real weakness is that he's not available in combat in the beginning turns of part 3. He defenitely needs an olivi grass which is obtainable in the shop in 1-8. Otherwise unlike Sothe he's absolutely useful in combat when he's fully transformed. He's the only one who's able to take two hits by tigers without any status boosts or bexp. levels. With S-strike he Can ORKO cats and gets some levels. He's the laguz with the highest chance of reaching S+ strike. Furthermore he has earth affinity which can make him also become a dodgetank. He's the best enemy phase unit in part 3 of the DB. In part 4 he will only work more or less as a filler, but it doesn't matter much. Only his role in the DB counts and this will be fulfilled superbly. Howl isn't really helpful since Volug doesn't want to be attacked by range weapons especially mages. But still it's nice when an enemy is paralyzed to get a freekill in Next player phase. overall 8.6 I weighed down the growths because Laguz don't rely on their growths but on their bases.
  12. Snake and Wolf because they have been my favorites in the Smash series and I was really pissed that they were cut in 4. Also nice to see Ice-Climbers back. I really like Zelda's ALBW design (the only Zelda game I've actually played). I hope she'll be finally usable. On the other hand I don't like seeing Ganondorf's OoT design back, but it gives me the hope that he could become as decent as he was in Melee.
  13. #9 Meg level 3 knight affinity: heaven skill: fortune bases (growths) HP: 21 (60%) strength: 10 (35%) magic: 1 (15%) skill: 7 (40%) speed: 8 (65%) luck: 8 (75%) Defense: 10 (35%) resistance: 2 (50%) bases 2.5 / 10 (30%) Meg's bases are really good for her level, but unfortunately worthless in the chapter she joins. 8 speed means that most tigers will ORKO her. She's ok for tanking a cat, but nothing more. If she had only one more speed Point more, she would be absolutely workable. growths 4 / 10 (20%) Her growths aren't terrible overall, but don't match her class. Her best growths have the lowest caps while her weaker growths have the highest ones. She should take Aran's growths. usefulness 2 / 10 (50%) As I mentioned earlier Meg would be workable, if she had just one more speed point. Even if her speed was fixed by bexp, it's not worth to train her. She's bascially a second Edward with lower movement and lower strength, but therefore vulnerable against hammers. Her good resistance isn't really needed for most of part 1 and totally useless in part 3. She should have changed Aran's class to have justified growths. Heaven is irrelevant until part 3, and if it's useful, then only in 3-13 to negate the Evasion boost by the Laguz. Fortune is worthless on her since her luck (growth) is actually decent. It's only good for selling. overall 2.55
  14. I have zero knowledge in Japanese. I read the English script and watched a LP of Vesperia and Berseria though. Playing Berseria in English would be great, but it's not an absolute "must-have" right now for me. Another reason for replaying it for PS4 would be for the DLC stuff. My CPU don't match the requirements, so that's why I imported the PS3 version. Played Persona 5, Berseria and Zestiria for PS3. First two were amazing, latter not so much. I tried to get into Ys by playjng the first two parts. Honestly I can't get used into its gameplay, but I've heared that the old parts have different gameplay to the current ones, so I might have a wrong Impression about this series. Nier is a series I have heared really good things about, Valkyrie Chronicles looks interesting too by watching a LP. Can't say anything about the other games. As for Switch the new FE game Octopath Traveller are Sound interesting. I couldn't play a Xenoblade game yet (couldn't find a favorable GC copy of 1 yet), but I guess I'd love this series. People told me that 2 isn't strongly connected to 1 a / o X, so it could be a good introduction for me. I tried to get into DQ... with the focus on "tried". Honestly I don't really know any games aside of Vesperia and Trails of Cold Steel 3 for the the PS3 simply ecause I haven't bothered with its games yet (same as for Switch). My most anticapted game is actually Trails of Cold Steel III because I absolutely love its prequels. But it has no date of release for the west yet, so Vesperia would be my only PS4 game from what I can think of right now..
  15. I wasn't fond of Smash 4 at all, but this Smash Bros game really gets all my interest since everyone from the past will be back. Wasn't expecting that at all, especially guest characters like Snake. Hopefully there will be a story mode similar to Subspace Emissary or Melee's at least because its non existement in 4 was the major reason to dislike this game.
  16. It came out also for PS3 in JP which I have played. I wouldn't mind to play it in English too sometime (same reason as for Vesperia), but it would not be a crucial argument for me to get a PS4. I lent my copy of Vesperia oversea, so I have much rather desire to replay this Tales of game.
  17. Since the E3 presentation yesterday I'm not certain which console to buy Next (won't happen before winter anyways). I was certain to buy a PS4 because of Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, but since I heared that it would come out for Switch too, and FE is also a thing, I'm really thinking right now. The main question for me is: Which console has more / better JRPGs? I don't care for any Mario games or other platformers, just for (round based) strategy games and JRPGs.
  18. #8 Aran level 7 soldier skills: - affinity: thunder bases (growths) HP: 24 (50%) strength: 10 (75%) Magic: 0 (10%) skill: 12 (70%) speed: 10 (35%) luck: 6 (35%) defense: 11 (70%) resistance: 2 (25%) bases 5.5 / 10 (30%) Aran joins a bit underleveled at this point but his bases are good enough to take two hits. His speed is borderline tolerable not to get doubled by myrms when the iron lance equipped. growths 7 / 10 (20%) Aran has fantastic physical growths, tied the highest strength growth with Rolf. He has the build of an armor nnight but movement of infantry. However his major problem is his poor speed. His base isn't great, much less his 35% growth. His good defense won't save him anymore when he gets doubled especially later on in part 1 and part 3. usefulness 3.5 / 10 (50%) When I said that Edward is the biggest victim in HM, then I have to correct myself: It's Aran. It's less awful not to double in case of Edward than getting doubled. Aran has to worry about his speed the entire time. Since he stats only at 7, and most units have matched or surpassed his level already, he needs tons of levels to get his speed fixed. It's similar to Edward, only with the difference that Aran's lategame is worse than Edward's. Sure, he'll beomce a decent enemy phase unit, but Nolan and Volug will that be as well (or are already) with way less investment and better perfomance at the end. In hard mode there's no spot for Aran mainly because he will get no personal weapon. Even Leo is more appreciated in part 3 for being a range weapon user. Thunder is a great affinity for potential enemy phase units because defense and evasion are the most important stats. overall 4.8
  19. I wished all GHB's would have been as easy as this one... This one defintiely has to return next year for special quests.
  20. #7 Ilyana level 12 thunder mage bases (growths) HP: 22 (55%) strength: 6 (45%) magic: 12 (50%) skill: 12 (60%) speed: 13 (30%) luck: 6 (40%) defense: 3 (30%) resistance: 9 (50%9 no transfers bases 5.5 / 10 (30%) Her bases are solid at this time she joins. Especially her speed is really good (Micaiah might hit that at level 20). She can take a hit by everyone and even double and ORKO the steel axe fighters. However if she doesn't level speed in this chapter - which is very unlikely - her bases aren't much more worth in the upcoming chapters. growths 3.5 / 10 (20%) She's a solid magic, strength and resistance growth, but her major Problem is what applies to many magic users in FE10: She's slow, has even the second lowest speed growth of all Beorcs (behind Sigrun). It doesn't matter much for part 1 since her base speed will catch it up, but for part 3 it's unworkable. usefulness 4 / 10 (50%) She's a welcome filler unit in the very first chapters. She's a better chipper than Leo and could massively weaken some tigers with 10AS in 1-4, if she leveled one time in speed at least. However she's not needed anymore when you can't bring everyone to a map anymore. The DB definetely needs the exp. more than her, so there's no spot for her in the lategame of part 1 anymore. At the end her only purpose is to work as caravan to carry the goodies from the DB to the GM's. As a combat unit she doesn't exist anymore because she will be outleveled by Soren. It doesn't change anything that she's the only potential user of rexbolt. It's only good for one single chapter anyways. Lightning increaes her hitrate which is helpful since thunder is inaccurate. On the other hand it increases her defense which is pointless on her. Shade is a shady skill. I still haven't figured how and when it activates. It can prevent from a fatal hit, but doesn't all the time. I have to ask IS for this. Overall 4.35 with transfers (magic, skill, speed) bases 7 (30%) Especially with a speed boost Ilyana is really good. In her joining chapter she can ORKO almost everyone and in 1-4 she can double the 10 AS tigers. Even later she can double the one or other enemy like some cavaliers in 1-6-2. usefulness 5 (50%) Since she has the ability to ORKO more enemies, she Can level faster. If she's lucky with her speed, she could be usable in part 3. growths 3.5 (20%) Same as stated above. Overall 5.3 I rated Sothe a bit better afterwards. Also considering to rank him with Transfer boosts since I will do it for everyone who also appears in FE9.
  21. I haven't finished one new videogame in this year yet except for Persona 5 very early this year. Decided to replay the one or other game instead. Completed in 2018: Persona 5 (first time) Tales of Graces (second time) Currently playing: Tales of Zestiria (second time) Owned games I still have to beat for the first time: Trails in the Sky FC Trails in the Sky SC Trails in the Sky TC Ys 1 Ys 2 The Legend of Zelda. Ocarina of Time Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Devil May Cry 1
  22. #6 Sothe level 1 rogue skills: guard affinity: wind bases (growths) HP: 35 (30%) strength: 18 (60%) magic: 4 (20%) skill: 20 (80%) speed: 20 (45%) luck:15 (65%) defense: 15 (20%) resistance: 9 (30%) bases 11 / 10 (30%) Sothe is the unit the DB needs. Someone who can tank everything and prepare kills for the lower leveled units. He's the perfect non mounted Jagen statwise. growths 4.5 / 10 (20%) His growths wouldn't matter, if he wasn't forced for the endgame. He has good growths in the stats with the lowest caps, his speed is mediocre and his defense is terrible. usefulness 9 / 10 (50%) With his bases it's almost impossible to get killed. He can easily solo the maps till 1-7. However he exists as lifesaver of the DB and to give the kills to his comrades. Furthermore he Can steal which is nice since part 1 offers some goodies (discipline, master seal) and chests. In part 3 his usefulness will take a massive drop by having an equal or even worse enemy phase than units like Volug, Jill, supported Zihark and maybe Nolan. He will get 2RKO'ed by tigers while he normally can't double the cats. He's still good in PP with the beastfoe, but not better than other DBs in EP. In part 4 he's basically not existent. His classchange to third tier is too late and 4-3 is a chapter where he usually doesn't see any combat at all. Still his perfomance in part 1 has higher weight than the others because the DB is lacking on strong and tanky units. overall 8.7
