Apparently Japan got a different trailer this time around too, because I'm seeing some new things.
Mainly these images from this tweet.
[spoiler=Images]
Take this with a grain of salt but: the tweet also says that Kukui studies Pokemon moves.
What if we got more than four moves for our Pokemon to use now. 80 -
Lol, no it isn't. A map and couple of typings, woop dee doo. And rivals we already saw, wow, SO impressed.
We didn't see the lady in the white before, nor did we see the Rotomdex. We also have some abilities and signature moves. There's more than just that.

(why is Solgaleo NOT a Fire type?!)
With Entei and Pyroar around, would that REALLY have been the best idea?
-
I'm down with those types. Also, Moongeist Beam is an amazing attack, fr srs.
Although, if that's it...I admit...I find myself a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. -
So, where's the video link?
-
Unfortunately for me, I probably won't be able to see it until later on. I won't be off 'cuz I wasn't feeling well yesterday, and I doubt I'll even be home in time.

It's kind of difficult to expect them to balance over 700 Pokemon that easily, especially given the way some of them are supposed to work.
-
I think what it means is that the competitive scene is going back to being similar to what it was in the old days, with everyone using pretty much the same Pokemon.

Double-Edge is a quarter damage. I think the other recoil moves are generally around that area. I can understand a quarter of health-but just ONE hit point? That is disgusting. Both Jump Kick and High Jump Kick "punish" you with a single hit point for failure.

>Be me, reading up on some moves whilst planning out his Pokemon Yellow teams.
>Working on Hitmonlee.
>Sees High Jump Kick, and clicks on its Gen I effects.
>Sees that it only does ONE HIT POINT of damage to the user if High Jump Kick misses/fails.>WHAT.JPG

You know...if there's one thing I kind of want, it's some sort of special surfing Pikachu in these games. That'd be kind of neat, really.

Still got a long way to go, and I'm not quite done training yet, but I've got all of this at two badges and just before Lt. Surge. I'm pretty proud of myself.

All the same, I'd still rather not have any more remakes. It just seems a bit silly to remake EVERY SINGLE Pokemon game. At least, every pre-XY/ORAS game. And if they remake Sinnoh, I can't see how they'd seemlessly combine the normal storyline and Platinum's.
-
Another thing is that, around the time that we might get a Gen 5 remake, I can imagine people clamoring for a Gen 5.2 remake as well, if not even a Kalos remake. I just don't see a need for every main series game to get a remake, and even if I did, I'd rather see a remake that say, brought Gen I up to speed again.
Fire Red/Leaf Green was one of the more disappointing remakes to me, but I could see a lot of stuff changing to make it a pretty good remake. I dunno, I just...maybe I'm tired of seeing remakes? -
Sinnoh is 10 years old and the engine is super sluggish. I'd love to see the game with all the battle engine improvements and also a more dynamic camera to get some sweeping shots of scenic locales like Floaroma Town and Spear Pillar. What makes Sinnoh any less deserving of a remake than the previous 3 gens? I'd also love to see the return of the Poketch as a gameplay feature. It was definitely my favourite bottom screen implementation.
I can see the argument for it. But I'd rather have focus on new and better games than simply remaking another. I feel like Kalos got kind of gipped with ORAS, which, I still like those games, but even so.
And, this is kind of childish, but as I said before, I feel like, if Sinnoh got a remake, then there might be an outcry for a Unova remake, too.
-
Sinnoh will likely be getting a remake soon, so there shouldn't be too many Sinnoh Pokemon. Kanto and Hoenn have been wrung dry. Johto Pokemon should probably appear in good amounts as well.
I sincerely hope not. I don't think Sinnoh needs a remake. If it does, then I just know I'll probably hear about Unova getting a remake.

Did I say Rock Slide? I meant Rock Throw. Shit's bad, man.
Also, it's nice having three games that I can mess around with TMs in.

Overpowered Dewgong?

Unfortunately, I'm a madman and I have a bit of a ridiculous method to how I play games
at least, how I play RPGs. Basically, I have a compulsive NEED to get all that I possibly can within the limits of the game as early as possible. It's why i find myself unable to beat Final Fantasy VIII. I try to get all the magic and tools that I can get before fighting Ifrit. Namely, I try to set myself up to get 300 copies of Flare immediately after fighting Ifrit, and getting Save the Queen.
I'd just rather not have to worry about raising all of these suckers later. -
On a separate tangent while I'm still training my Pokemon before Surge (I've been very busy with work lately, due to a lot of people being completely unreliable, namely the people that are supposed to come in before the time I'm scheduled to clock out, leaving me to have to stay late, and one of the only three night shift people available seemingly just quitting or getting fired, as he hasn't shown up multiple times now leaving me with having to take more night shifts), I've found out that there are a few Pokemon that are surprisingly difficult to train. For example, Geodude. It may have impressive defense, but with Tackle and Rock Slide as the only moves it can gain experience with up until and even for a while after it evolves, it has a hard time on occasion taking out some Pokemon (Especially my luck with Rock Slide. I swear, that move has like, 35% accuracy, not 65%). Another is Venonat, since it's just so weak and it has a hard time taking hits.
-
I love just how many Pokemon there are available to me before I fight Lt. Surge, and before I head west of Cerulean City. Without passing level thirty (and without training or evolving Bulbasaur, Charmander, Jigglypuff, Oddish, and Bellsprout) I've managed to register forty-eight Pokemon into my Pokedex.
-
And finally I hope they finally include multiple save files. My brother usually can't start with the games since that means deleting my teams.
That's never going to happen. Especially now that PokeBank exists.

I would've suggested Eidoleon, honestly. XD

Finally started moving on ahead in my game. Wound up getting to Celadon, and started the slots. I had like, a REALLY good string for a while after I got a jackpot where I got over 100 coins from Koffing and Arbok panels lining up multiple times in a row. I still got a LONG way to go, since I need a total of 23,999 to get all four Pokemon that I want-unless Scyther doesn't come with certain moves that I want. Then I'll just catch it in the Safari Zone.
