  1. That's a lotta swords. My mistake! I didn't know that tidbit about healing, though. I did not know that. I'm certainly not sad that I tend to give Mitama a physical mother to make her bows more effective anymore.
  2. For sure. She'll do her best. How are memes created?
  3. Hire someone to kill her. Who would you hire to kill Tharja?
  4. Agreed. And even then, their characters aren't really anything to write home about, either.
  5. Rain. I like rain. It's easier to focus on studying or writing when it's raining outside. WYR play a good game with lots of fanservice or a bad game with none?
  6. Since I've changed my profile picture, I thought I'd chime in again. Christophorus as a final boss, huh? Well, the fight would certainly be interesting, since she can summon Toy Soldiers, an undead count and instruments that would serve as obstacles you'd have to overcome before facing her (kind of like Grima's infinitely respawning minions in Awakening's finale). As for her own attacks... at close range, she can beat you up with a conductor's baton and at long range, she'd do a move similar to her Musou attack in Warriors All-Stars: summon a giant horn and shoot a laser soundwave from it. Or she'll throw more instruments in your face. One of the two. As to why she does it... well, being a pureblooded demon noble, her allegiances have always been kind of vague (even if she tends to help the protagonists more than hinder them), but she's not evil at heart - unless you count her conducting the "orchestra of death" to be an evil thing -, so I'd imagine she'd do it just for entertainment value or to give her ideas for her next opera.
  7. Indeed. My problem with these two is their incredibly late join time for trainees (even worse with Ewan than Amelia) and the fact that both have some serious competition to deal with. Keep in mind that Ross is the only playable Pirate in the game and only has Dozla to compete with as a Berserker. AND he joins around a time where is shoddy bases don't make him a serious liability. Ewan has Lute, Saleh and Knoll to contend with and Amelia has it even worse: Seth, Franz, Gilliam, Duessel, Kyle, and Forde as well. Though Knoll and Forde are debatable since neither is that good to start with, but they're both so, so much better than Ewan and Amelia, it's not even funny anymore.
  8. "Whee!" because it's funnier. Also, opera is cool. WYR hug a bear or pet a wolf?
  9. Is there an option not ride the roller coaster at all? If not, I'll take the plunge and choose the first option. For real, though, you couldn't get me on one of these if my life depended on it. *shudder* WYR play volley ball in the snow or baseball in the desert?
  10. None of these three made me angry like Fates did, except Binding Blade with its ambush spawns. But I agree with Sacred Stones and Binding Blade not being that amazing, either. I thought Ginchyo's sword looked more similar to a Levin Sword, myself. At least in Warriors Orochi 3. I think it's actually Muneshige who uses a sword in a similar style to the Yato and Nobunaga Oda uses a more western-style sword as well (his rare weapon in Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 looks like the Shadow Yato, sort of). As an off-topic note: I find it kind of interesting how few sword users there are in SW. Off the top of my head there's Ginchyo and Muneshige Tachibana, Sasaki Kojiro (not to be confused with the one from Fate), Miyamoto Musashi, Ina (sort of), Nobuyuki Sanada (also sort of) and Nobunaga Oda. As for the Kusanagi, I think the the Ama-No-Habakiri (or Ame-No-Murakumo) was found in the tail of Orochi, and the Kusanagi was used to kill it. EDIT: Nope, I double-checked. It's actually the same sword and Susano'o used a different sword to kill it. My bad! I'm no expert on Japanese, but wasn't the Yato in the original called Yato-No-Kami, which means something like Night God Sword or something? According to the dictionary, a snake is either "Ja" or "Hebi". I apologize if this sounds patronizing or something along those lines and if this is wrong, you can choose to ignore it.
  11. And Ewan. And Amelia. And Neimi. The list goes on and on. Truthfully, I still like using Neimi, though, if only so I can have an excuse to bench the Takumi prototype.
  12. Glad to see someone still liking the story and characters after multiple playthroughs. I grew ever more annoyed with them the more often I played through the game (especially three certain someones that shall remain unnamed). Needless to say, I consider Fates as the weakest Fire Emblem game to date, except in the gameplay department. The game is really fun to play, I will concede that. But as far as story and characters are concerned, I'd be hard pressed to find anything worse in the franchise than this one. It's a shame, really. I've been hyped for this game since its announcement and was still hyped after finishing my first playthrough... then I looked into this forum and my eyes were opened to the more glaring issues this game's plot has. And then I went and found some for myself after checking what everyone else said and the result was not pretty. Moral of the story: If you want to unconditionally love something, DO NOT look into forums. This is a joke and should not be taken seriously. @Dragoncat said it best: Fates had potential, but it fell flat on its face.
  13. I played Birthright first and married Hana. Been planning that since before the game was released. I never really regretted it, since the competition in Birthright is pretty darn lame, to be honest - in my opinion, at least (with one exception, but you can get her in Revelations as well). Conquest was the point I found my favourite Fates character in Nyx (still salty about her being a trashy unit, though) and in Revelations, I went for Mozu, since I thought her supports with Corrin were cute and it's more beneficial to make Kana a physical unit despite her personal skill saying otherwise. Needless to say, I never had a run where I got all possible units, since I have an aversion to marrying any of the child characters, even if most of them are better than their parents, especially on the female side, and the Corrinsexuals just aren't appealing enough to me. I still think Hana makes the best Kanas, though, especially if you pick Speed or Skill as your boon. I've played as a female Corrin on Birthright, too, but never really married anyone (I got a few S-supports to fill the support log, but I never actually "went through" with any of them), but on my first (and only) successful Conquest Hard Mode playthrough, I married Laslow, but that was just because I liked the defensive stat-bonuses the Mercenary and Hero classes give upon pair-up. Kana turned out pretty good as a Marth cosplayer, though.
  14. With Flintstone, I'd go deaf after a while because "WIIIIILLLLMMAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" so Jetson it is. WYR be lectured by a demon loli with a penchant for opera music or kissed (and stabbed to death) by an evil angel that calls herself the Moon Queen?
  15. I actually did something like that once (grinding a unit up to 20 and overclassing them before the ending I mean.) Delthea as an Enchantress and Faye as a Harrier absolutely murder Act IV like nobody's business. I think that was probably the run I had the least challenge on. If I didn't need Alm to deal the final blow to Duma, I'm sure I could have solo'ed the rest of the game with Delthea and Faye.
  16. There's no denying that Dragonhaze and Tigerstance are probably the strongest combat arts in terms of raw damage output. You can so easily hit the 120 damage cap with them, it's ridiculous. That sounds like a pretty intense run. I have yet to beat Thabes Labyrinth on Hard Mode, myself, but I will try one of these days.
