    It's something I can largely take care of on my own; it'll save people the trouble of not having read these posts and wondering why things are obviously broken. Anyways, with Legault's Tale wrapped up I think matchmaker's 100% coded. Gotta finish up all the new text I've added today. Vaida doesn't have a selectable pairing but if you pair Priscilla with somebody else, Heath joins in her revengequest. And also joins the Black Fang because #noncanon. Also I've been procrastinating on writing that ending scene for years...

    Just wanted to update today and say that I've implemented all the matchmaker pairings for Lyn's Tale, Rath's Tale, and Raven's Tale. Now I just gotta hammer out Kent's and I think that means Matchmaker is mostly complete (took out Vaida's pairings, oh welllllll). Look out for that new beta soon; I might just disable Bonus Content this time since I know what's generally wrong with those and just gotta work through the kinks. What's most important is getting the tales playtested again with all of the variable pairings.

    The things left to do are as follows: - Finish hard mode. - Finish Igrene's Tale. - Implement Sain x Priscilla pairing. - Implement Lyn x Hector/Eliwood pairings in her/Rath's tale. - Scout out and finish up miscellaneous unfinished text. - Make sure all the bonus content works. - Hopefully increase the number of NPC units allocated in memory so that they don't vanish on suspend/resume. - Hopefully implement reflexive weapon switching for bosses. - Go through another round of debugging/bug fixing.

    Then you're gonna love these changes: BwdYeti suggested it for balance reasons so we've got multiple variants of several classes at this point. Paladins (Lance/Sword or Lance/Axe), Sages (Anima/Light or Anima/Staff), Valkyries (Staff/Anima or Staff/Light), Dracomasters (Lance/Axe or Lance/Sword), and Warlocks (formerly Druids, Dark/Staff or Dark/Anima).

    More update because. Thanks to Temp for the nice edits to Eliwood's animation, matches the new mug rather nicely! Then we've got jjl2357's new weapon rank display hax on full display, that's just what Farina needed. Thanks to you too, bud!

    I didn't even know that an Eliwood was being worked on until it was finished today, lol. One of the artists could probably attest to what they drew the inspiration for that from, I saw a bit of Chrom in him myself. The hat's because of her reclass. Serra picked it for her.

    Incoming character revamps mandatory dramabomba!!!! Two new things. The first was a surprise collaborative effort between Ath/AK/Lehn, so thanks to you lovely people for the spiffy new Eliwood. Then we have the reclassed Louise looking ever so fashionable, thanks to Merc for all of his hard work on that! One maybe two more characters hopefully getting revamps.
  10. MPP (Most Promising Project) could be an award generally focused on highlighting up and coming new projects. MIG (Most Innovative Gameplay). MIA (Most Impressive Artistry) to highlight awesome graphics. And then maybe the last one of the year could have more awards? Stuff like naming a "Hack of the Year," etc.
  11. Every three months (four times a year) sounds optimal to me. MVP (Most Valuable Participant) could be a general "who's been the most helpful/contributed most to the community this past month/X months." MIP (Most Improved Project) would be like who had the coolest update this period. Those are the two I can think of right off the bat. And then maybe have some more specialized awards to highlight certain things like innovative gameplay and whatnot.

    It'd be neat if Berserkers got a skill that negates the status's CPU control effect and grants some kind of boost instead (crit or atk).

    I didn't really know about this until you mentioned it on FEU, lol. Shows how little I visit Serenes at this point. But shit this is actually quite awesome. I guess I'll throw some ideas out? Dominion: Doubles weapon triangle advantage bonuses, not penalties. Charge: Adds +1 to weapon MT for every two tiles traveled while moving that turn. Entropy: Grants AVO +25 when targeted by a physical weapon type (for ze mages). Reversion: Reverses opponents avoid boosts. Toxotai: Allows an archer to counter-attack after dodging at melee range. Aegis: Negates damage from attacks at 3+ range. (Might need a different name?) Have Armsthrift and Cancel been mentioned? Imbue that heals based on RES value? There totally has to be an FE8 prequel/sequel now with skills.

  16. Off the top of my head... Pair Up bonuses should be nerfed, and the command made available only between units with an A-rank support. Command-based skills like Steal returning (which I considered a series staple after the GBA/GCN era). Rescue should return. Capture as well (mostly because I'd like to see them take a second stab at that idea). Never write a plot involving children from the future again. No more WaifuEmblem! Bring back weapon weight and constitution. More hybrid magic/melee classes, take advantage of having both stats. Light/Dark magic as individual weapon types, bring back the Magic Trinity and the Anima Trinity. Limit/remove reclass items. Emphasizing grinding so heavily was a terrible gameplay decision. More mission variety; FE13 was pretty much 75% rout, 25% defeat boss. Whatever happened to fog of war, again? Weather effects? Reaver weapons? Where art thou these days? Status effects like Poison/Sleep/Berserk/Silence ought to return as well. Nerf OP skills (Galeforce should just grant canto after a kill, not another full turn). Make level-up skills based the character instead of the class (or remove them outright).

    Still waiting on: Dat new Louise. Writing miscellaneous Matchmaker text (all the bug/event fixing gave me some good ol' writers' block). Coding in Hard Mode tweaks. A few other balance tweaks. For example, giving bosses the "Anticipation" ability (FE4-style, they switch weapons to counter whatever you attack them with - no free shots anymore, boss fights should be tough after all).
