  1. Actually, she's wondering why Ephraim, Chrom, and Robin are not in the pic WITH Eirika and Lucina since the girls are there in the first place. She's not confused about Eirika and Lucina simply being in the pic, just that they aren't joined by those other characters.
  2. But I don't remember any instance of Tiki in Awakening where she was woken up from her sleep and acted angry immediately by speaking so informally (nor have I outright seen her angry after being waked up), and in the localization, Tiki never really spoke much in an informal manner, even when angry. She remained formal in her A support with Anna after realizing Anna was using her to make money, and she even kept talking formally in her talk with Einherjar Gharnef in Rogues and Redeemers 2, and he's the same guy who hypnotized her in the past. The level of informality doesn't really detract from the point Tiki is trying to make in the comic, it simply makes her look out of character, especially when you consider how rude the words "shut up" are percieved. She has gone as far as to say "mind your own business...or else..." in her sleep in her A support with Robin, but I don't think that's to the level "shut up" is at. Sorry if I'm sounding insistent; Tiki's one of my favorite characters, and seeing her say "shut up", even if she is simultaneously groggy and angry, just seems to me like she's acting out of character. o.o; If it were up to me, I would change the phrase to "DO NOT DISTURB ME." since it would show Tiki's deep anger while insuring she still sounds in-character, but I understand that's your call in the end. Again, sorry.
  3. woahwoahwoahwai- *gets crushed* dang it you shouldn't have let you be thrown like dat @.@ *throws narwhal at the next poster*
  4. Casual mode doesn't even need to have the same amount of tension as classic, should it not be that way already. Casual mode was created with CASUAL players in mind; the mode is supposed to be less overwhelming and rage-inducing unless you put limits on yourself in that mode. Also, Irysa, you know that developers interview you posted multiple times in the old thread? I'm not sure if you've found this out, but while IS's developers see permadeath as the essence of Fire Emblem, the only reason they opposed the lack of permadeath in the first place (not casual mode) was because they did not want it to replace permadeath's existence, which means no classic, only casual, and opposing that is more understandable. However, they eventually decided to produce two modes, one with permadeath, the other without, and they had no issues with that. Heck, one of the developers even said that FE's original goal to invoke a style of play they wanted at the beginning of the series was even closer BECAUSE of the mode, since people don't have to reset in rage, and I agree. Casual mode is what I can confidently call not a mistake to invent into Fire Emblem.
  5. I'd be very happy if unit customization stays a recurring thing. I'd also be fine with it AT LEAST being in the fashion of being able to create a unit AND customize his/her appearance/bio, even if he/she isn't an important character, since I'd like to create characters that don't have the same backstory as each other. I'm not really a fan of customization being limited to an almost unseen non-unit character, especially if the only options are name, gender, and birth month (and blood type). Character customization is something I love in video games, and I hope Fire Emblem adds more options and variety to the practice in the near future. :)
  6. 98: Yay! Jumping to conclusions by making random connections! :P 99: Apparently, cheesy team wear also inflicts despair. :P And Nowi looks so adorable! :D Though, I have criticisms on Gregor and Tiki's lines. Gregor, again, speaks in third person, so I think he'd say, "Oy, Gregor's back..." Also, "SHUT UP." sounds too informal and out of character for Tiki, even in sleepy anger. Perhaps "DO NOT DISTURB ME." would be a better thing for her to say? ^_^
  7. Myrrh, Florina, Nowi, Nah, Noire (happy!), Morgan, Micaiah... What beautiful and adorable art! :D
  8. I can't speak from a gameplay perspective due to me not having played the Tellius games, but while I prefer manaketes, I am fond of the laguz as a species. They expanded the shapeshifting in the series to beyond dragons, and I like their animal touches to their humanoid forms. I personally prefer them over Archanea/Ylisse's Taguel, but the dragon laguz are only on par with the rest of the laguz species and not as high as manaketes for me since...well, I view them as laguz expies of the manaketes, they lacked a variety of dragon shapes among almost all of their members, and I'm not a fan of how the majority of the species were distancing themselves from other people by choice, as well as the fact that it took so long for a baby to be born. I like their orange skin and markings, though. ...I REALLY apologize if I went into bashing territory with no good reason. I worry I did. o_o;
  9. @eclipse: I am in total agreement with you on the Introductions having apologies. I was a little worried about people judging me myself, since even though I've seen playthroughs of almost all of the FE games, I still only got into FE via Awakening (although unit customization mainly drew me in, casual mode helped), and I have still only played casual mode, being a casual gamer who doesn't want to rage and restart. I knew there were people that were bothered with the game, so seeing more people that were introduced via FE13...wouldn't make them happy. Thankfully, the people who welcomed me weren't bad, but I know there are people who are sick of Awakening being a big reason why people are now into FE, and it bothers me.
  10. Don't worry, dude. I dislike his attitude, too, and stooping to the level of the group he hates (if he has even encountered them) is wrong, like I mentioned. I also disagree with his opinion of making casual more "punishing" (unless if it coexists with the casual mode without punishments that we know now, but even then, people can challenge themselves, they don't only have to rely on the game), as the mode was intended for casual gamers so they could enjoy FE among the hardcore players. I play casual mode myself, so I can understand from the casual player perspective. You do have a point; liking the idea of a mode being gone just so you can laugh at those who liked the mode, even if the only guys you want to laugh at are rude and mean about it, is rather self-centered, since one is failing to consider the feelings of those who aren't even rude and mean, and they're stooping to the hated group's level.
  11. In all fairness, from what I understand, he simply dislikes the group of casuals that bash prior games entirely for lacking casual mode, not the whole gang of casuals itself. I don't agree with his revenge-driven attitude towards them and behavior towards those who accidentally misinterpreted his posts, but I see why one would be bothered by people bashing the whole thing just because it's missing something.
  12. Shapeshifters whose clothes return to normal after changing back to humanoid form, so I don't think being a shapeshifter has anything to do with it. :P It's probably personal preference.
  13. I'm torn on Robin and Kamui. Robin has that awesome white hair and that sweet robe, but then Kamui has that long white hair, red eyes, and pointy manakete ears, while the lack of footwear takes off points. Any chance you can make the poll multiple choice? :3
  14. I never said you did NOT explain yourself. I said you claimed not to care about casual mode "Should it come back? Meh, personally don't care...", yet, you posted in a topic about what you wanted to see in FE if, and you wanted "Bigger punishments for playing on casual mode", and you repeated that statement a few times on this forum, which meant you DO care about something about the mode, thus contradicting yourself.
  15. @Irysa: I apologize if I missed something, but I agree with the others. Your original post sounds like you're comparing ignoring casual mode and ignoring rape like they're the same thing. However, casual mode isn't traumatizing and abusing to people, while rape is. You claimed that was not your intent, but your reasoning that eclipse quoted fails to excuse the comparison for me. @Gradivus (in eclipse's post): I didn't even attempt to end the conversation. Heck, I ASKED him to explain. He claimed to not care for Casual mode while demanding without please for me to "Zip it. :)" (so really, he wanted me to stop in the first place), but his previous posts state that he WANTED punishments for "playing that way", so while I may have gone a little too overboard with pointing out what I perceive as his close-minded actions, I had to let him know that there was conflicting evidence on his opinion.
  16. What's more is that you can marry Robin's female self to him. :P I'm quoting a YouTube comment on their support video, but...Looks like Batman found his Robin. *puts on sunglasses* YYYEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Also, dat cool Laurent and beautiful Kamui. :3
  17. So, how funny is the "green mark of cowardness" on someone who DOESN'T hate previous games for the lack of casual mode?I think Casual mode shouldn't need to create any incentive to play Classic mode in the form of limits (especially if the limits are punishments for "playing that way" in the form of having less features other than permadeath). Like I said, Casual mode was created to appeal to casual players, not ONLY as a step towards Classic. And even if there's a little bit of unruly players among them, remember: every fanbase, in the form of loving a game, sport, show, or whatever, will have their rude people, and I'm certain FE had that before Casual mode came in. It's not something that can be avoided, as much as we want it to, so turning a blind eye to a large group of people just because there's some who act unreasonably unlike the rest wouldn't be fair.
  18. Really? You're telling me to zip it and you're calling me close-minded when you have clicked on and commented in a topic devoted to waifus and husbandos just to complain over people living in their personal fantasies? Plus, you have said before that you want casual mode to punish players for "playing that way", and that you deemed the casual mark at the file select screen (which you want back) as the "green mark of cowardness", saying that it was "pretty funny, hehe". Oh, and you admitted to trolling casual members in the "Difficulty." thread. Did I mention you said FE13 was a "screw you" to "core fans" of the series like it was fact, essentially calling anyone who loves Awakening not a great fan of FE in general (which you have been called out on)?You have a point about people claiming that earlier FEs suck in quality because of a lack of casual mode is dumb (although I doubt many exist, as I have yet to see some myself). But wanting a mode to punish all casual players (including those NOT of the group you specified) for "playing that way" is close-minded, in the end. Explain.
  19. Welcome to the forest of the heron laguz! :D And I see you like Tiki! Me, too! I like both her child and adult instances. :3
  20. That's a close-minded way of thinking. You want Casual Mode removed just to see angry reactions from casual players? That's just saying you want an optional mode in a video game removed for only your personal amusement outside of it, and I hate that constrictive way of thinking. >_<And FYI, loving waifus is not a bad thing, as it's simply people having their personal fantasies, and unless they are harassing you with their waifu talk (which would be because of their personality, not casual mode, and I've yet to see you harassed by waifu lovers), you're getting angry over a topic you don't even have to involve yourself with. Fierceragnar, we are NOT "dweebs", just people who have different opinions, just like the whole FE fanbase. You don't like our acceptable opinions? Well, no fanbase is a hive mind, so sorry.
  21. Why does Casual Mode need to only be a step towards Classic mode? Can't it also be a mode where, you know, "casual" players can enjoy the game, as the title suggests? o.o; I'm not saying it should only exist as enjoyment for casual players; I'm just saying it shouldn't ONLY exist for the purpose of easing players into Classic Mode, and only that reason.
  22. I think Casual Mode has a trillion rights to stay, with no debate. It's an optional mode; it's not going to infect classic mode anytime soon. Admittedly, I am a casual player who plays that mode, but so what? Casual players are most definitely NOT all about waifu loving (which, unless they start harassing people about it, which is an attitude NOT caused by casual mode, is not anyone's business to complain about as it is only their personal fantasy); we simply just have a better fondness for the characters and story, much like casual players in general. Also, in an interview for New Mystery of the Emblem (which Irysa has posted in another casual mode debate topic, and I think Serenes Forest's site has a link to said interview), although the developers consider permadeath the "essence" of Fire Emblem, they had no problem implementing a "no permadeath" mode; they only had a problem with removing permadeath entirely. Plus, one developer said that the goal of Fire Emblem in the beginning was to make a game that was very accessible to everyone, and the FE fanbase is NOT a hive mind; it has many different opinions, just like any other fanbase. Unless classic risks getting replaced by casual, I see no reason to get rid of "no permadeath".
  23. Yay! Happy fanged Tiki! :3 And that female Robin's cute. :D
  24. "One step closer and I will be forced to maim you." -Maribelle with best level-up. Also, in the Hot Spring Scramble... "Your mother was a contest." Gangrel to Aversa. Yup, that happened. Watch the whole thing on justonegamr's YouTube channel. :P
