  1. I dunno, doesn't sound too identical. Similar, but not identical. I think it's Bryce Papenbrook; if you hear him voice a teen or kid character like Makoto as I mentioned above, you can hear the similarities.
  2. I wonder if there might be a new manakete character? Since FE8, there's always been at least one dragon shapeshifter. I'd be happy with them coming back; just as long as it's not another young girl. Maybe a guy instead? Heck, to mix it up, make him a guy who is buff and like fighting. :P It could also set up a side plot regarding the zombie dragons, even if Sacred Stones did that with Myrrh already. I also wouldn't mind one or two recruitable monsters. Let's get a skeleton or gargoyle on our side for once! :P
  3. Just some food for thought, here. I think FE's representation in Smash is sorta different from other franchises. Unless I'm mistaken, Fire Emblem seems to be the only Smash franchise where the games span over more than at least 3 settings, two if you disinclude other franchises' unrepresented disconnected plot games such as Mother 1. From the representatives, we have Archanea, Elibe, Tellius, and Hoshido/Nohr, and that doesn't factor in Ylisse/Valm, which is future Archanea. In that sense, the FE representatives technically aren't that connected to most of the others from their franchise, unlike the Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Star Fox, Kirby franchises, so to me, it feels a bit like they're sorta representing more their world and less the whole franchise...I think. Of course, those who know little about FE probably think they're connected, so I guess it can't be helped. Just wanted to throw a perspective out there. Still expecting the Inkling to be the next character, though.
  4. Should Oliver be in the game, let's hope someone keeps an eye on him so he doesn't chase after the manaketes. Wouldn't want him to get any ideas of "protecting" them, especially the Archanean Divine Dragon's daughter. :P @Quintessence Extrasolar said the galdr would debuff and harm enemies, much like the staff users do already.
  5. I'm REALLY curious to know what VAs the Tellius characters will get. I could see Bryce Papenbrook as Oscar, perhaps. I also want to say Kaiji Tang could do Kieran, but Odin's pretty similar in personality, so it may be too redundant to cast him as Kieran. Also, I hope someone brings up the awkwardness of how the word "beorc" being a thing or the concept of "human" being an insult doesn't seem to exist in other worlds. :P
  6. I got a Reinhardt...with another blue and Tiki that got taken down by Julia solo. It's also my only loss. :P I think Reinhardt even took someone down and it didn't count. Welp.
  7. Her voice? I disagree, I think Erin Fitzgerald did a fine job voicing Sanaki. As a VA, she's got great vocal range with what she's done; then again, she's been at this for a long while. :P
  8. I think they're under "classic" as well, they just don't have blinking.
  9. I personally prefer the classic style, as the characters are more "there", rather than the still pictures we have now. I would like more noticable variance in expressions, though (but keep the blushing down).
  10. I'm happy with character customization existing, and I have a high tolerance for storyline quality (even though I recognize the faults in a story), but to make a character that doesn't have too much personality because it's supposed to be you and not contradict who you are (which still happens because Robin and Corrin still don't feel like our likenesses) the main guy hurts the story. Not saying that avatars are NEVER a good idea for FE, but they CAN ruin plots when used incorrectly in such a way. It's better if they just get relegated to background-less, blank-slate characters that avoid impacting the plot so much, if not avoid bothering the plot altogether and just be "there".
  11. I approve of this for being an option you can choose for being on/off at the file creation. That way, it would be less likely to impact the game design, just as long as it's built around the predetermined characters. But I do wonder about the class limit, only because I like character creation, and I feel that for the sake of such a personal thing, limiting classes would limit more creations, even if it does better balance out the game. Maybe unlock the multiple units in one class thing at the endgame? I dunno; there's a bunch of stuff to balance/"optionalize" here.
  12. @NathairI'm sorry, that is stupid and hilarious simultaneously. THREE Hectors?! Apparently the AI is learning too much... :P
  13. Isn't Bantu the only old man? :P I agree that most manaketes seem to be young girls, though. At least adult Tiki and Corrin were a breath of fresh air.
  14. Yeah, thing is, stamina is put in due to the whole "free to play" thing. It's not the game telling you to "take a break" taken to forceful levels, it's an incentive to buy orbs to replace stamina, should you lack any stamina potions. Free to play games include this on a regular basis to get some cash; sounds greedy, but it's a regular thing to implement when the game's being given to you for free.
  15. Corrin, Kana, and Nah should be on there because they must come with the ability to turn into dragons. Morgan does not count because she doesn't have to have the dragon transformation available.
  16. It's not that simple; for some reason, you can't delete the quote box. I'm experiencing this on my phone, and I had to clear the whole box a few times. But let's move on from this and get back on topic. Elincia's cool if you like her, Mia's cool if you like her, Soren's cool if you like him, Nephenee's cool if you like her, whatever. Let's talk about these stats. Fire Emblem Gaiden had the least votes out of all FE games. My theory is that maybe, since the characters not named Alm or Celica were only represented by NES sprites, they didn't score so well, compared to the somewhat higher-quality SNES sprites for FEs 4 and 5. What do you guys think?
  17. It's not "having a different opinion"; it's "being rude about your opinion". The "stahp it" part was not meant to be taken so seriously; I don't care if you dislike Mia. That's just your opinion. But you irritated those of us who do like her by saying things like "Yawn", which, as I said, is rather obnoxious, not to mention throwing her name into the conversation (with Nephenee) just to call her boring, when you could have just complimented Elincia and left it at that.
  18. @Anacybele You can easily tell I was being silly. Why else would I use lowercase and bad spelling like that? That being said, I DO like Mia, and find your explanation of her (which included a "yawn", which is obnoxious in itself) was rather disrespectful to me and others who actually like her.
  19. That must have been a lot of hard work! Nicely done! I assume Gaiden didn't get a bunch of popularity since the characters represented in the poll were also visually represented by their NES sprites, being the only games with such sprites thanks to the Archanea games' remakes. Also, I find the idea that Lilina read some sort of otherworldly popularity stats and gave her analysis humorous. Did Roy find a book in Askr and give one to her or something? :P also mia is cool stahp it >:Y
  20. Tiki for sure. I always was a bit fond of the "all grown up" trope when it came to kids to adults, and I like the backstory, serenity, and exotic aura she exhibits. (And no, I do not care about her breasts. >3> ) Why do you not want to put in half-dragons so much? I do not understand this at all; they're dragons regardless, part-blooded or not. Just input characters that, no matter what, have the ability to turn into dragons; you can avoid putting in Morgan and the rest of the kids potentially birthed by Corrin, as well as anyone who doesn't transform.
  21. Yeah, just threw in a somewhat-educated guess. I haven't seen RD gameplay in a while, so I forgot what specific tomes she used, aside from them being light. @Rezzy We actually had both the family and anti-female Robin focuses for a bit.
  22. I believe female Corrin grows a tail as well in her special attack art too. Fae also has her wings, although she always could sprout her wings, whereas Corrin never grew a tail in human form in Fates.
  23. Wasn't there an item in Awakening called Micaiah's Pyre, which was a fire tome? If so, that and her sister being a red mage could hint at her being a red mage herself, although no guarantees.
  24. Well, just as long as you don't get too offensive that others that like them would feel bothered (such as calling a character boring without specifying them being boring to simply you). :P Also, people tend to take football rivalries too seriously, so not really the best comparison. :P
