  1. Er, well, given the topic's location, we're to talk about the Heroes VAs and art, sorry. :P
  2. If I got a character I hated a lot (which is rare, as I tend to have a high tolerance for character personalities), all I'd do is silently send 'em home. It's not like I'm risking sickness by risking obtaining someone I don't want, so I'm not gonna weep in agony if I get someone I hate. :P
  3. Er, I don't think Del Rio voices anyone in this game yet. :P
  4. So I noticed something interesting about the topics made for this forum; we have threads on what VA work and artwork we find off, weird, or just don't like... But what about topics specifically for the VA work and artwork we really like? We apparently have none of them. o3o So, let's add a little positivity here, no? Take this time to gush over the voices or artwork for the characters. Don't be shy! Just make sure to keep the bashing of such stuff to a minimum; that's what those other two threads are for, after all. :P (I'll mention my favorites later)
  5. Just throwing it out there; I don't know any of the FE5 characters represented in the new gacha as I've yet to watch Thracia, and I do think Sanaki was an odd choice to be the 1st Tellius rep (though, I don't really mind it so much and find it funny that IS threw a curveball). However, I don't think the focus "sucks" for not including characters that are popular in the poll now (especially in the case of Japan-only games, since they need the exposure) and instead just including less notable characters to give more exposure to them and mix things up with some surprises. It may just be my own way of thinking, but then again, should we just go popular guys first, less popular last, the game may start to lose traction in terms of getting people to come back because we're getting spoiled with these big characters we like to the point of getting tired of it and as we go down to the bottom of the list, we'd be getting "filler" (emphasis on the quotes) characters that most people may not care too much about. Of course, it's just a theory I whipped up, so make of it what you will.
  6. Welp, so much for predicting protagonists of games first. :P Didn't expect Sanaki to show up so soon! (Now hopefully I have the crazy luck to roll both Sanaki and adult Tiki so I have half a team full of apostles just for lulz)
  7. I love avatars in terms of how you have the ability to create your own character; as one who likes character customization in games, I want this to stay. However, I don't think they should take up a significant part of the spotlight anymore. Robin was fine, but people had issues with how Corrin was handled. Not only that, but the prior avatars save (to some extent) Kris had their own deep backstories, making them seem less like avatars and more like defined characters you're modifying visually and statistically. I want custom characters to return with more visual options, but simply make them an option to be created, and have them without any rich backstory so we can fill it in with our minds while not interfering with the plot.
  8. Manaketes, cuz turning into a dragon is awesome. :P
  9. The first game that I played although not owned was FE7. I had no knowledge of FE before then, surprisingly enough; I happened to find it in a cottage during vacation (I guess the prior owner forgot it?). Apparently, one of the files went as far as a late chapter, and I blindly sent out units with no real knowledge. :P Realizing this, I decided to play from the start, but I "fear-quitted" out of the Dorcas chapter because I thought I had to get to an off-screen destination BEFORE the turns were up while protecting Dorcas' wife. ...I WAS YOUNG! D: Afterwards, I got Melee, and without knowing who the heck Marth and Roy were, I still recognized the name "Fire Emblem". I originally thought for a year or two that they originated from the same game without any knowledge of Japanese FE and not remembering much of FE7, but that was eventually remedied. I finally decided to see what FE was about after seeing the first part of an Awakening LP (thanks to SSB4), and after noticing there was character customization (although not as extensive to clothing, sadly) a feature I love to utilize in video games, I decided to get the game and got enticed. After playing through Awakening, I decided to see LPs of all the other FE games minus FE1 and FE3 to know their lores, still needing to watch an LP of Thracia 776. I still like FE to this day, even if I'm not too active on this forum nowadays.
  10. DarkGold777 confirmed to be part of an embodiment of an actual disease, plz eradicate me now. :P
  11. Wow... I never knew that happened. I also just searched "Peyton Manning" on Twitter and saw that the article seems to be the hot topic for the last 7 hours. I'd be shocked if nothing big happens after this news about Peyton's past.
  12. I'll admit I've haven't listened to too much in football lately, so as far as stating there are dirty members of the Steelers throughout their history (which I know for a fact; no football team can go a season without some members doing questionable things, such as that Bengals game where we had two Steeler coaches blatantly break the rules and I also believe Ramon Foster got fined for an illegal hit, and then there are the skirmishes both teams got into throughout the game, and I won't limit members' of the Steelers' antics to that game either), I won't argue against you on that. Every team has dirty members, sort of similar to what you said that the Steelers aren't the only dirty team (except I won't call 100% of the Steelers dirty, but I won't say any other team is 100% dirty either; I will say the Steelers had and still have dirty players, like every football team out there, nothing more).I'm sorry if I struck any nerves or looked biased, based on your reaction of "what is this post". I'm aware that the subject of "Steelers" has been talked about a bunch in this thread (and how much they were defended every time by someone) to the point that people are sick of it and have grown annoyed at the Steelers, and that's probably a sign that I shouldn't be here myself, being a Steelers fan and all. That's not to say that I can't talk about other football teams and avoid touching on the Steelers (or actually admit wrongs on the Steelers' side without arguing to defend them), but based on this thread's history, maybe it's best for everyone that I stay out. I don't want to risk angering people.
  13. Uh, I'd rather not pay attention to that. I'd just like civil conversations, that's all. I'm completely fine with Ravens, Bengals, or Browns fans in general, to add.
  14. Tiki's my favorite FE character overall. Like, 1st on my list among everybody, including lords.
  15. Before I say my argument, I'd like to admit that I don't know all about what happened in that game, so let me know if there's information that conflicts with what I say. I'll also admit that I'm a Steeler fan, but I will try to avoid bias and stepping on any toes. Now, you say that in order to pay back for Carson Palmer's injury that I have no problem believing probably aided the Steelers in getting their 5th Super Bowl win (among other things in their run, such as the Colts game with the missed FG and the SB itself with the officiating controversy), Ben Roethlisberger has to get injured himself. First off, Roethlisberger had nothing to do with Palmer's injury (unless he said something negative about it, feel free to fill me in), it was another Steeler, Kimo von Oelhoffen (Kimo also apologized, but I dunno his history or how close he was to breaking the rules, just that the injury made a new rule to avoid defenseless targeting, so I'll leave that up in the air). Also, that moment's participants had no connection with the more recent incident that started this conversation: Burfict's hit on Brown. Second, even if what I said did not apply and we had a scenario where someone on team 1 injured a star player on team 2, helping team 1 win the championship in the end, wanting someone to get hurt, even if the injurer was a bad person and one wants them hurt out of revenge, is still pretty low. I don't blame you for feeling angry, but it looks like you want to injure a scapegoat... Sorry if I showed any bias or harshness in my first post here. I understand that bias tends to have a large impact on sports fans in general, especially in American football, and I know the Steelers aren't exactly liked much in this thread. plz dont eat me i taste like too much pizza
  16. -Tiki is my favorite FE character OVERALL (both her young and adult forms). -And I'd prefer her with smaller breasts. :P -I enjoyed Awakening and I'm interested in Fates, but I don't really care much (I'm not saying I hate (save for the controversial skinshipping feature), I'm saying I don't care, aka I have no interest in involving myself) for the waifu stuff and "body-related" fanservice. Pairing my units up and putting them in supports is sweet, but the main focus to me is still the strategy RPG part.
  17. Splatoon: A big breakout hit, and a colorful shooter that's still entertaining to both casual and competitive crowds. The design in this game is quite appealing, in my opinion, and it's great that Nintendo has recognized it recently as a big franchise to make even greater sequels off of. Mario Kart 8: Mario Kart gets a nice selection of new stages plus drastically adjusted (for the better) old favorites or notables. The graphics and little details are nothing to sneeze at, either. Super Mario Maker: I admittedly don't have this game, but it has gotten a lot of love for being a Mario level creator. While there are a few flaws, the amount of content already in the game still does more than satisfy. Super Smash Bros.: Undoubtedly one of Nintendo's greatests hit franchises, and a wonderful success with all its own content without even including DLC, which features returns of favorites such as Roy (yes, FE Roy) and Lucas, plus shocking newcomers such as SF's Ryu and FF7's Cloud. Art Academy: Not sure if this qualifies as a game, but as an artist myself, it gives me an opportunity to draw nice stuff for Miiverse outside of handwritten comments when I'm too lazy to use Photoshop. :P I don't have a big list, but that's mainly because I haven't looked deep into other games, not to mention Xenoblade Chronicles X isn't out yet. :P
  18. Dogs are alright, but I like cats more. Meowing sounds cuter, and I just prefer the way the look. Also, according to this article, cats CAN show affection, so there IS reason to understand why people like cats. http://pets.thenest.com/cats-feel-affection-owners-like-dogs-do-5092.html
  19. Honestly, the only series I think should end are controversial ones, and I mean controversial as in sending bad messages or being offensive. Otherwise, I can't fathom wanting a series to end, even if I hate it for non-controversial reasons. Why would I want something I don't care about to end when others enjoy it, and it doesn't effect me at all?
  20. Taking a leave of absence on this forum, I decided to come and see what's up, and I have to say, Ana; I'm sorry for what you have to go through. Empathetic tears are building up as I type this, even if they won't come out of my eyes. Most of our interactions haven't been positive, but I assure you that is irrelevant to how I feel here... I've experienced deaths by elderly relatives I was attached to whose times were coming up, but never anyone at a much younger age, let alone a younger brother. I can't imagine how you felt, discovering your youthful brother dead, and I hope you eventually feel better. I have a younger brother myself, and even though he bugs me from time to time, I love him so much. I don't want him to die, especially by suicide. I highly doubt he will, though. That being said, I hope you, your family and friends get as much care as you guys need. Therapy, love, hugs, peace, whatever- I hate knowing someone innocent is having depressing thoughts. You deserve all you can right now. <:(
  21. Don't forget the new level cap, weapons, and gear!now give me my pants and hairstyles plz
  22. I wouldn't jump on the "NX is coming out next year" train with this news, because IGN's article on the news updated, saying that Square Enix said that the games are under CONSIDERATION for the NX. No article I've seen has even said that the games would come out for the NX next year, just that the games were for the NX (before SE made the consideration statement). I don't think the NX is coming out next year, anyways. It needs to be announced at an E3, and that's only one month away from the supposed release date. That's too short of a wait between a console announcement and release. The Wii U just picked up steam with Mario Kart, Smash, and Splatoon, too, so I doubt it will end earlier than five years (which is how long Nintendo's consoles usually last, if not more) over being a "failure". Sorry I have nothing to say on Dragon Quest and instead only the NX
  23. Actually, since teams who are overpopulated may end up facing each other for no points, and both teams need to fight each other to give themselves AND the other side a chance to earn points, it evens out 50-50. My problem is simply with a battling competition and a popularity contest being one instead at least separate, if not only a battling competition. Statistics have nothing to do with my argument.
