Even if the description says otherwise, I agree; in my viewpoint, Lucina and the avatar look just like friends, not really mother and daughter... But I guess that's simply not what the artist intended. :P

I personally hope you can choose the starting class you like in a future FE game, with the option to reclass into a manakete later in the game if you decide to make your character of that species (all of the above, I think probably might happen by 2021? :P), rather than be stuck with one specific character class made for the plot. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a sword-wielding manakete prince/ss (:3), but I'd love the avatar to be more to our preferences in the future. That's why we call them avatars. :P

To be fair, in Awakening, it IS Lucina's birthday, which is probably the reason for all her art.

It's a big guess, but it sounds possible. Hair color doesn't even need to be evidence; Lissa and Emmeryn are descended from Marth and Caeda, two blue-haired people, yet they are both blondes, so it's not entirely impossible to assume Virion could be descended from a green-haired Alm, especially with the lack of his siblings (if any) appearing.

As much as I love Tiki, I don't think she'd be a good candidate. The only way I could see her working out is if her transformations were limited to her specials and super move, much like Ben in Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, a CN clone of SSB. (Has anyone played that game, BTW? I know it isn't that good, but...) Even then, I'm not so confident on Tiki.

I'm not arguing in favor of Kris for his/her plot relevance, just for being the first example of character customization. Also, even if the intention was to make him/her an avatar, the user wasn't forced to make their own selves. I didn't mention Mark as his/her customization is drastically limited to what you mentioned (plus gender ;3), so you couldn't really create a character in terms of appearance at all, making the customization process underwhelming, in my opinion.

Getting back on topic, I think Kris is a pretty important character as well, due to being the first example of character customization in the series, something plenty of people (including myself) like in video games.

I fell over from adorableness from the chibis. Especially the manaketes. :3 And in the cast pic... Am I seeing grown-up Nah and younger Nah, as well as two Yarnes, not to mention plenty of crying children, or am I going crazy? o.o;

With the Virion and Cherche watching. :P Heck, this page has both cat and dog treatments! 96: As usual, Tiki is beautiful, and Nowi and Nah are adorable. :P I say it a lot, but I still think so. And I love the hilarity of Robin silently trying to point out the Brand with that look on his face. XD

I personally excuse Roy on that front because of translations being different, but I guess you have a point, regardless. I just tend to think positively about characters more than negatively, so I probably overlooked Roy's blandness.

(Jeez, Ana... o.o;) Personally, while I'm happy with Roy being back, I think Eliwood might have been a better choice, as he could've helped promote Blazing Sword on the eShop. Roy's a fine choice, though, as he still has popularity from his Melee days, and his return would bring a big push to his relevancy. Hell, the main reason most people really hate him (based off my observations) is because of his stats in FE6 and Melee; not because of his character.

That Robin x Lucina artword looks amazing! My only criticism about it is Robin's small eyes, but their faces and hair all look lovely! :D And "DAWWWWWWWWWW" at the Tiki and Morgan Miiverse picture. :3

Wait, so Marth isn't confirmed to be a mascot; you just think so? o.o; In my eyes, I don't see Marth as a mascot. He is the first and most notable FE character, but he isn't even acknowledged or hinted at in a good majority of the series, which is a good point impacting my opinion. At the same time, though, I'm not so sure Anna could be considered a mascot myself... Ana (no pun intended) makes some good points: She doesn't really fight much in the games, and her other roles include selling, saving, and teaching. The mascot of Fire Emblem should represent what the series is mainly about; I'm not sure a merchant who breaks the fourth wall plenty of times to save games or explain functions qualifies to me. I consider her a notable recurring character. I think FE doesn't really have a mascot; the best representatives only appear in less than half of the games, and FE has plenty of different stories with all different characters each time, barring sequels/prequels/midquels(?). I might be missing something, but that's what I believe at the moment.

I really like Robin (his default appearance in both genders are nice, and dat robe) and Tiki (she's a manakete, a grown-up, mature, and beautiful version of her young, cute self, and so sweet personality-wise (:3), and no, her breasts do not play a factor at all :P). Honestly, I love most of the characters, and those that I hate are proud bad guys, and I hate them as people as they were intended, not as characters in video games with scripts. I just like to think positively. :3

I didn't mean to imply she was wrong, I just asked where she found that out, since others believed differently based on my observations. Curiosity.

Where did you find this out? Most people consider Anna the mascot due to her frequent appearances throughout the FE games.

Nowi looks so dang adorable in dragon form in the second and fourth panels. :3 Her face in the last panel with the dot eyes, cheek blush, and wide and toothy yet innocent smile on her dragon muzzle makes her SO CUTE. :D
