  1. ANOTHER BLIND DRAFT YEAHHHHH. Also, Kon, out of the three of us who wanted to do the draft on IP Chat, only Sharpy was in the first one. Also, we thought Horace might join in but he turned out to be a dirty traitor because he didn't want to emulate GC games.
  2. Also, someone (Proto?) said that it's unlikely that the mafia would have a stage-bypassing kill when the SK, who has a much harder job, didn't, but I don't think that's good logic. No matter what, it's very difficult for the SK to win. From what I've read about game balance, (and it was a thread that Paperblade, one of our hosts, linked to) you shouldn't try to balance your game so that the SK has a decent chance of winning. The SK is meant to just throw the game for a loop and make it harder for the town. So him not having the ability to bypass stages while the mafia does is not so far-fetched.
  3. I was on Castle Siege last night and my action went through without a hitch. Also, while going off flavour is not a really a smart idea generally, I find it weird that there are two pokemon roles in the game. There are a lot of available characters and using the Pokemon Trainer basically twice seems odd.
  4. Another thing I want you to answer, Proto- why was Excellen your #2 scumread earlier on? You say nothing at all about him other than that he and Naglfar overreacted when they voted for Marth because of his Blitz vote. But then why Excellen specifically and not Naglfar or one of the others who was on the Marth wagon?
  5. I suppose you can, but not to the same extent that you can analyze a lynch. And you're still speeding up a mafia win.
  6. This might sound like an OMGUS after Prims said he was suspicious of me, but I don't like this post at all. Telling the vig to kill as often as he can helps the mafia much more than it helps the town, as unless the vig is a very good scumhunter, he's much more likely to kill a townie than a mafia. And unlike mislynches, we can't even analyze a vigged townie's death. To begin with, the town wouldn't even know who was killed by the mafia and who was killed by the vig. I'd rather have a long game that results in a town win than a short game that results in a mafia win.
  7. Remaining units: Cain x1 curate Abel x2 Draug dark mage Ogma x2 Bord x1 knight Cord x1 dark mage Barst x2 Castor dark mage Darros knight Merric myrmidon Hardin mage Sedgar x2 Wolf x2 Athena cleric Roger dark mage Palla mage
  8. You can't. Vyland's been given twice.
  9. Haha you fucker. Archer Navarre for you, Thorn.
  10. From what I can tell, even after you get Etzel, the max amount of Sorcerers the player can have is 2, and if you give me Cord I'll have 3. Meaning I'll be able to change one of my guys to another class. So maybe you should give me another pick?
  11. Okay, I reread the thread a bit, ISOd both Subieko and Proto, and have changed my mind. While I still think Subieko's later D1 play was suspect, I don't think her early phase play was that bad. She made several logical votes in that time period with good reasoning even if she was sheeping in some places. On the other hand, Proto's posts are both fewer and of less quality. His vote trend goes, correct me if I'm wrong, Shinori -> Subieko -> Shinori. Most of his time is spent on Shinori, and for all that he says that he was suspicious of Subieko D1, only one of his posts mention Subieko in any form. His reason for voting for her there is that she seems to be trying not to antagonize anyone, and says that this is characteristic of scum, especially newbscum. But In my opinion anyways, it's really more characteristic of newbs than of scum. I remember in GSM I tried hard to make my reads on everyone semi-moderate so that no one would pay too much attention to me if I was part of a mislynch. So Proto has only one post with somewhat flimsy reasoning against Subieko. When he switched back to Shinori later, he never even said "I still find Subieko suspicious" or something of that sort, which I feel is standard if you switch from one player you think is scummy to another whom you think is scummier. So ##Unvote, ##Vote: Proto
  12. This. Tackle and Rollout until you get the Dig TM is not impressive even after Huge Power. It doesn't get a good BP move until Double Edge at level 34, which has low PP, or if you teach it Strength.
  13. Overall: PKL (167) CR-S01 (153) Quintessence (141) Nano (140) Vicious Sal (104) Quint overtakes Nano for real this time!
  14. Well, that was a pretty good stroke of luck. Gotta say I did not expect Naglfar to be a SK. Also, while it's possible that the mafia could have used a stage-bypassing kill, it's still likely that the mafia sent one member to each stage, and that one of Proto/Subieko/Strawman is mafia (my bet would be on Subieko), as they couldn't have known beforehand where Naglfar was. Unless the plan was to not send a mafia member to one of the stages and then kill whomever looked the most threatening on that stage. But that's quite complex and unnecessary this early into the game. But yeah, Subieko. I thought that her play near the end of the day was much worse than Proto's was. For starters, her reasons for her scum targets were, IMO, hypocritical, as most of them could have been applied to her too. So for now, ##Vote: Subieko. Also, Scorri, are you done catching up? If you are, I'd like your thoughts.
  15. Alright, how long do you guys want to wait for Sal to get caught up? Everyone else has 1-9 in.
  16. you liar you never again will you be trusted never
  17. I'm confused- if you don't want scum to know something in night phase, why are you even mentioning it in the first place? You're an unlikely target for a N1 kill, not having been very active nor having claimed any role, so you're unlikely to die tonight without having your suspicions be known. And if you were afraid of dying, then why not give the full info?
  18. Also, haha I forgot to trade the Pursuit Ring from Cuan to Ethlin. So it's probably with Altenna.
  19. Rules (adapted from Fire Emblem RTUs) - Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly. You can troll a bit, but no CATERPIE HAS STRING SHOT 10/10. +/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly. - Votes are made out of 10. You cannot rate a pokemon above 10 or below 0. - The rating topic will be updated whenever I feel like it, but I will try to allow at least 24 hours for each topic. They will generally be updated at around noon EST. - A pokemon being inferior relative to another pokemon does not explicitly reduce their rating. - We are rating ingame performance only, up until the Elite 4 is beaten the first time. - Evolution lines get condensed, so treat Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venasaur all as one pokemon. Paras/Parasect: 2.15 Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill: 2.44 Ekans/Arbok: 2.57 Rattate/Raticate: 3.20 Zubat/Golbat: 3.25 Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff: 4.21 Venonat/Venomoth: 4.28 Vulpix/Ninetales: 4.38 Oddish/Gloom/Vileplume: 4.92 Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot: 5.00 Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree: 5.21 Sandshrew/Sandslash: 5.86 Pikachu/Raichu: 5.94 Spearow/Fearow: 6.21 Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard: 7.80 Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venasaur: 8.25 Nidoran-F/Nidorina/Nidoqueen: 8.58 Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise: 9.36 Clefairy/Clefable: 9.50 Nidoran-M/Nidorino/Nidoking: 9.75 Very fast (especially for a ground type) and modestly strong, but also incredibly frail. You can catch Diglett right before facing Surge for fun times (if you're lucky, you might even get a Dugtrio), although it's not so great at Eirika. Does well at Blaine and Giovanni though. Magnitude is quite good early on, but it starts becoming pretty unreliable after a while. Still, it'll learn Earthquake (albeit a bit late) and can pick up Rock Slide from a Move Tutor for flying-type coverage. And it learns Slash as well. So it's movepool isn't vast, but it does well enough. All in all, a solid 8/10.
  20. Well, those numbers up there are assuming I did the worst it was possible to do and you did the best. I don't think that actually happened. Also, haha, I didn't realize just how many points boss quotes were going to get me at the beginning. I just realized that no matter what, I simply wasn't going to win LTC, so I tried building my team around a different goal that could maybe net me 2nd or 3rd. And, tbh, it's not so much that boss quotes were OP as that no one else paid attention to them while drafting at all. If I'd missed out on any of Eliwood, Legault, or Nino, I probably would have lost. It only worked because I built my entire strategy around it.

  22. Okay, I fixed it. Sorry Quint, them's the rules.
  23. CAVALIER ROSHEA I know that's his starting class, but I figure Roshea sucks anyways and that way I can save a Mage/Curate slot for like Abel or somebody.
