  1. You know you're bad when you're doing less damage than F!Robin even after buffing
  2. Well, it also says that special missions are gonna be released alongside the re-released maps. Maybe they'll be challenge missions, like clear Robin's map with certain units? Are they gonna fuck with us and tell us to beat Navarre with four Armors or something? Who knows.
  3. Ditto about the smoothness. I noticed the choppiness in some motions, and I was wondering if it was just because my 3DS is old (it is, and the screen is cracked). I like the animations by the Awakening/Fates studio better (what are they even called?), but I can definitely get behind this change of pace.
  4. Holy mother of god I cannot emphasize how much the presentation and storytelling of this game blows Awakening, Fates and pretty much everything before that out of the water (technical limitations make this unfair to old games, but still). A gripe that a lot of people had with Awakening and Fates (especially Fates) was that the pre-chapter exposition was very poor at conveying the story. It certainly didn't feel very cohesive, as every chapter was a mini time skip to jump to the next location. Those scenes were also generally a bit short, and did not give the player much detail. It boiled down to "we're here now, let's fight these dudes". It was like an episodic TV series that's not supposed to have a central plot line...except the FE games were supposed to have a central plot line. This felt much less of a problem in the GBA series, probably because the scenes were longer (and nostalgia lens perhaps). But here, full voice acting, along with the auto text skip, makes the game feels a lot more alive and in motion, like it's an actual anime or movie. No more random grunting and one-liners while reading text. It's not fully cinematic, but it's a step in the right direction in my opinion. The use of the 3D mode animations and CGs are much improved as well. Of course, in exchange for fully voice dialogue, the pacing might feel slightly more sluggish for some people, if you read really fast and don't want to wait for the people to finish talking. I'm absolutely fine with it, though I'm a guy who thought Metal Gear Solid 4 was fine too, so take that as you will. The model of storytelling is, at its core, honestly still the same as the other games. But the way it's presented is so much better, it's a lot more bearable now. I also dig the segments where you get to look around and point and click stuff, but they could be expanded a lot more. Also, I love Alm's voice acting. The fact that he voices Biscuit from Iron-Blooded Orphans makes it kinda funny actually.
  5. I've been training up my 4* +Spd Odin, and with help from Clair's Spur Spd and Harsh Command, I think he can actually take care of the mages really quick. I might still need repositioning assistance, though. But I'm using Odin.
  6. I'm sure there were replacements available for my Jaffar. The unit just needs to be able to ORKO the Red Mage. The turn I saved using Jaffar to chip the Axe Knight didn't actually matter; I still had room to kite.
  7. Finally got the game on eShop (jesus 12k blocks). So there's no Lunatic? I started on Hard, is it tough?
  8. I usually get 680, which is where inheritance starts to become kinda common I think. Actually I think I might be wrong about 650. How are cavalry scores inflated to match infantry? My Reinhardt is 160 but I think the adjustment might make him higher.
  9. My defense team's total is only 650. My Defense wins wildly fluctuate from one to about seven, but I've always gotten a win. Though I may have ended more deathless streaks than that... I'm probably gonna slap Fury on Azura, then eventually cave in and put that on Lucina too. That'll bump it up to about 670.
  10. Oh, I was just saying that I didn't want "no 5*s at all". That makes it too annoying.
  11. No Dancer and no inheritance should ne staples, but I think the rest should be optional. Maybe instead of no 5* units, have a 5* limit.
  12. I'm gonna sue the Strategists Three for S T E A L I N G from me /s
  13. It's okay, I'm still sitting here with my 8 turns lmao. Maybe I'd do better if I actually trained up Cecilia over F!Robin, but meh. F!Robin is so bad I almost like using her. Maybe I'll try out Blarblade Odin... This is gonna be fun.
  14. We could just unequip the repositioning skills, like how I used Olivia with no Dance.
  15. So, since the Japanese version is out, does Risa Taneda still voice Palla? Her career has been on hiatus since September last year, but I'm not sure if they already did all of the voice work prior to that. I'm gonna get the game in like a week or so, but the curiosity is killing me.
  16. This is like, the third time I got called out on Drag/Draw Back I think. I can't get it out of my head. But I meant the Assist, which should be Draw Back. Shove could work, but I guess it's easier to run out of space. We need to do it with zero positioning skills. A STRATEGY TO SURPASS ALL STRATS
  17. I think they'll make a banner with only three Focus units in it someday, but there's actually Kellam as the fourth in there, just unannounced. But to get back on topic, I've been trying to come up with a strat that does not require Drag Back or Reposition, and it's not going very well. People who don't die to the Knights die to the mages so easily.
  18. She's a Blue Lance. I called her red Cav because of her armor.
  19. My memory might be fuzzy then. 6, 9 it's just a matter of perspective.
