  1. The game has already gotten one patch and the developers are continuing to support DLC for it. I don't think a patch to make it compatible with just one single amiibo would really be so much trouble for them. I doubt that they'll kill the Smash line so quickly either; Smash Bros has a long shelf life and the amiibo are selling like hotcakes.
  2. I think most of us can agree that a Mary Sue is a cliche, poorly written self-insert made to make a fanfiction author feel good about themselves. Corrin/Kamui is a cliche, poorly written "self-insert" made to make the player feel better then themselves. Even if you'd argue s/he's not a Mary Sue, s/he's pretty dang close. There roles are basically exactly the same. Why'd I even make him my avatar I don't even know.
  3. I mean, what else is the female option for? Girls or something? Pfft, girls don't play video games. I'm just kidding pls don't kill me.
  4. Oh, hey, here's something the OP forgot to mention. What do you guys who have the game think of Copycat? On paper, it's pretty crazy. Every unit who gets it can essentially preform two actions ever turn, which is why Galeforce was so crazy in Awakening. It sounds like a real offensive force to be reckoned with, especially when you're only allowed 5 characters. Oh great, then I remembered incorrectly. Yaaaaay. ...The tedious procedures of IV breeding are sounding better and better by the minute.
  5. Alright, I don't have the game. I can't experiment around with skills like Line of Death and Extravagance to really form a strong opinion on them. ...However, I am very opposed to forging for one reason; the requirements. To get a +7 Brave Weapon, it'll take 64 Brave Weapons and over 200 gems, iirc. That's just ridiculous. It gives an seriously unfair advantage to those who are willing to cheat or those who are willing to grind away for several hours just to get that perfect blade. It's part of the reason so many competitive Pokemon players - such as myself - resort almost entirely to simulators to play. I just want to play a fair game, not sit on my 3DS grinding for hours on end so I can become equal to the opposition.
  6. Remember how Europe got better Club Nintendo prizes around it's death? Or more game options as part of that Mario Kart 8 promotion? Or what about getting FE7 on the Wii U virtual console way before America did? Oh, and now there's also Yoshi's Woolly World, which came out in June in Europe but isn't coming to the US until freaking October. NoA needs to step up its game.
  7. Go ahead. Do what you want. No one is stopping you.
  8. Yeah, I know this is a really late response, but... I'm pretty sure Japanese priestesses use bows as some sort of sacred ornament or something, so the fact that they use different weapons then their male counterpart is probably just a reference to Japanese tradition.
  9. I usually agree with what Sakurai says. Sure, a lot of Smash fans do whine and cry about him a lot, but that game's fandom is just a mess anyway. But I'm not sure if I can agree with this. Fire Emblem "amie" shouldn't be bugging me as much as it does, but it does none the less. It's just a feeling in my gut. As long as this features there, it'll continue to haunt me. I guess it's not so much finding my least favorite food in my lunch box as much as it's finding a dead scorpion in there. Sure, I don't have to eat that scorpion, but I'll still probably lose some of my appetite. Okay, maybe the dead scorpion analogy was kind of harsh, but you get the point.
  10. So what you're saying is that Dancebreaker now works against rally skills as well? This is getting far too out of hand.
  11. Not to forget how rare Fire Emblem amiibo can be. Unless you're lucky, your best chance at getting one is to buy one online for at least double the retail price.
  12. I'd say I'm in total awe that they needed to make this a thing, but then I remember how much my older sister struggled with Normal/Casual Awakening. I'm sure she could of been decent if she actually payed attention to what she was doing, but with the varied map objectives and such, and I can definitely see her losing on Pheonix.
  13. I know from the classes trailer that when Yokou and Garou promote, they change colors when they transform. What about Dark Blood and White Tribe? When someone with a Dark Tribe class uses a dragon stone, do they turn into a black dragon or something?
  14. I'd have to say Flannel and Arthur are looking to be my favorites. I love silly characters, and those two are just ridiculous. Arthur has his terrible luck and is a ridiculous superhero parody. Flannel is cheerful, yet extremely dumb. While those two are my favorites, these guys all leave me with good impressions, to; Mitama for her creative and hilarious personal skill. Odin for being one of my favorite Awakening characters (though I still think it's silly they actually brought him back). Lutz for inheriting his dad's superhero motif. Leo because I'm based towards mages and his armor is cool. Hinata seems like a cheerful, simpleminded stereotypical shonen anime character. I don't watch too much anime, but I still mean that in a good way. Poor Sophie looks so cheerful, but also has a crazy horse that she can't control. As far as her personal skill goes...er, well...I'm not entirely sure if that's funny or just plain embarrassing. Felicia seems like a good laugh. Hana seems to have a cool personality. Her argument with Tsubaki in the Treehouse stream definitely earned them both points, to.
  15. "Hana...why does our child have blue hair?" "Th-this is not what it looks like, Kaze! There has to be some explanation for this!" "It was that Shigure, wasn't it? He's the only man with hair like that in the army. I knew I shouldn't of trusted him...it's over, Hana." .... Seriously though, if this isn't fixed in the western release, I may just exploit it purely far aesthetic purposes.
  16. A lot of Japanese names have literal meanings, don't they? I believe sakura, for instance, is a commonly used as a normal word in Japan, meaning "cherry blossom". Not that I'm an expert in Japanese or anything. My knowledge of this just comes from listening to my younger sister's ramblings about anime and JRPG names, and Sakura is a pretty common one.
  17. Can you even buy DLC skills? I think I heard somewhere that you couldn't.
  18. Witches may outshine the other magic classes as raw magic users, but that doesn't mean there isn't a reason to use the other magic users. Exorcist and Strategist can use staves; Dark Knights also have swords and pretty good defense.
  19. But they're actually inside of it during the battle. They only stand on top as their victory animations.
  20. I didn't hate the Dread Fighter. I hated that male characters got the Dread Fighter while female characters got the Bride. It was an unfortunate, extreme example of gender roles. And besides, the bride class was just plain stupid aside from that anyway.
  21. I'm a tad bit disappointed that these classes are gender locked myself. I'd love to give Shadow Gift to my Avatar and other male characters, even if Nosferatu isn't all that amazing this time around. However, I'm not that upset. This is a huge step up from the accidentally sexist Dread Fighter and Bride combo. But I could go one for hours and hours about what I didn't like about the bride class.
  22. Will we even be seeing a lord represent the class? That may of just been an Awakening gimmick because it was all about crossing over with previous games(hence weapons like Roy's Blade, Wolt's Bow, or Ephraim's Lance).
  23. That ballistician class is just...wow. I expected old-school style ballista. Ya know, a giant bow on wheels. Then we got some freaking medieval tank. It's still taking me some time to let this sink in. It's just so over the top.
  24. Nohr because I'm edgy and think I'm cool I want my first play through to be challenging.
