  1. Technically, she is(albeit only a litte). I tried to use white, but it just makes her blend in with the pegasus. If you have any other suggestion for a colour, please say so.
  2. Veld leaves after a certain event, which isn't Johan's recruitment. You just don't see him leave since the video only convers the first turn. That's also the reason why Arthur and Fee aren't in the video. Also, I was going to leave him as a Dark Bishop since you fight him relatively early (around chapter 8 or 9, I'm not sure yet), and giving him a stronger tome would be just a bit too unfair (Fenrir already has 20 mt, and any higher than that is reserved for Holy Weapons). I may change him to a Dark Druid, but I'm not too sure yet.
  3. I agree. Working on chapter 3 has been much easier than on the other chapters, and I guess that's because it's been much more fun to do this chapter than the rest. Also, Arthur and Fee's palettes (they didn't appear in the video because they appear on turn 3).
  4. It's not that bad. IIRC from my EM playthrough, Sothe can ORKO the paladins in 4-P with a Silver Dagger with max STR. He 3HKO's enemies mostly during 4-3, but his main use here is to get items, not to fight. We already have Jill, Haar and Naesala who don't have any trouble killing everything in this map. Then in 4-E, assuming he has capped STR by now (it's his third highest growth with BEXP, and 4-3 gives boatloads of EXP), with the Baselard he has 46 atk. Now, I can't remember the stats of the Endgame-1 generals, but I do know that none of them had 30+ def, and most were at around 27-28 def. With Adept, he should have a high enough chance to ORKO this guys, since he should be 3HKOing. Then from Endgame-2 onwards it's irrelevant. His part 4 is not stellar, but is good enough. And don't forget his ridiculous part 1 and great part 3.
  5. Since I can't get any song to sound right, you will have to see this without any imported music. Sorry. A few things to note: [spoiler=Commentary]00:16 - I haven't changed the Soldier Portrait yet. 00:27 - Haven't made talking frames for Dannan, either. 04:01 - Celice and Lakche have been ridiculously blessed this playthrough. On average, they should be much weaker than what they are right now. 05:05 - I thought I had changed the Rivough enemy descriptions. Guess not. 05:29 - While overpowered, Dannan is beatable. (Hint: mage girl) 05:44 - Veld is not. Don't worry about him. 08:04 - Shit, missed with a 96 08:06 - Nevermind, thanks Lakche 09:06 - What a twist! By the way the ballista can hit Johan while he's on the gate. 09:22 - The starting enemies are 50. Sucks that you can't have more. 11:17 - Good ol' Oifey can't ORKO anymore. It is a sad day in Fire Emblem. 11:48 - This sort of things happen just way too often with Lakche. While there are quite a few things to add yet, I can say that I'm loving this chapter so far.
  6. I think Celice meant to say 13 rather than Feaw. If you look at Seph's post, then at Celice's, it seems like he's talking about 13's maps, since 13 has one single vote.
  7. You do know that Shinon has around 10-15 crit on most enemies at most, which means that if he doubles, he only has a ~27 chance of killing an enemy if only one crit is needed? If he was attack by 4 warriors on Enemy Phase, we can only expect him to kill 1. Meanwhile, Boyd with some BEXP and maybe the Speedwing kills all of them.
  8. Find enemies that aren't mages that Shinon can kill with crossbows. 28 atk is horrible.
  9. Fluffy Bluff Galaxy It just sems like a good map theme, at least for me. Also, Bowser Jr's Fiery Flotilla( I have no idea why the filename is like that) seems like a good theme for Enemy Phase.
  10. Yay more Chapter 3. Personally I'm liking this chapter a lot. I think it really gives that "war" feeling from FE4, since it's a pretty big map, with 3 castles to conquer. Also, I'm looking into music insertion. There's this one song from SMG2 that I think would fit really well as a map theme for the first few chapters.
  11. Oh hey. It's time to tease a bit with Chapter 3. Oh, don't worry about it. I've already though of something that I'm sure will make more than one person happy.
  12. I based most of the cliffs on the chapter 6 map of FE4, which has them that way. I tried to change it slightly, though: About the straight cliffs, I know that I have the wrong tiles, but after searching this tileset (1C1D8A1F) for a long while, I haven't been able to find a better looking tile for that spot. Thanks! I've been trying to practice on mountains (I added a very small mountain in the Chapter 2 map), but this map required a mountain that is just out of reach for my current map-making abilities. Anyway, I'll send you the .fmp in a minute.
  13. After two days...this isn't finished. Making a 40x30 map is hard. Anyway, the ridiculous ammount of forest was done on purpose. It is my way of making the different chapters of FE4 noticeable (Prologue-Chapter 3 are filled with forests since they take place in Isaac, Chapter 4 is desert for Yied, the chapters in Thracia will have very few forests, etc). I really (really) suck at tiling mountains, which is why I've tried to avoid them as far as possible. The tiles I've placed aren't the definitve ones, they're just there as to show a basic outline for the mountain. So it's time to ask, can anyone help me with the mountains? It would be incredibly appreciated, since I'm in a sort of time limit to complete chapter 3 and 3x if I want to release a demo before March 9th.
  14. Not really. Characters aren't cap ramming as early as you seem to think (so far I've all my units at level 7, and no character has a stat capped). By average, you should only start capping at around level 15 or so. And by that moment, promoted enemies start to appear. And because I don't like to post without progress: NPC palettes for both Levin and Yuria, and also a player palette for Levin even though he's not playable, just because I don't like that NPC green.
  15. Yuria's bases aren't really that great. For example, you need 14 AS to double soldiers in Chapter 2 and 14-15 AS to double fighters. Her con isn't an issue since the basic Light tome has 4 wt, and Thani has also 4 wt. Later tomes will weight more, but there are going to be a few Body rings available later on. Also, you shouldn't drop her, since we all know that near the end of the game there's this one litte tome that sends her stats to the roof. Capping early isn't really an issue, since enemies will cap stats at around the same time as your characters do. Also, I'm not really using the same bases as in FE4. Just look at Johalva's bases. Other characters have also been changed. So far, the only characters who are keeping their bases are Oifey and Yuria. And finally, redid Johalva's palette (since I lost it when I had to use a backup) and gave Yuria one.
  16. Thanks. While it doesn't have all the ones I needed, it does have most generic bosses, and that is great. More screenshots: My tribute to Harold is to give him a portrait as generic as FE5 lets me.
  17. What seph said. I don't have the time or skill to change all of the portraits. I forgot to say so earlier but I already got the FE8 cleric inserted. Used unLZ since NLZ didn't want to open any of my roms (clean or hacked), and GBA GE wasn't working for some reason. Pics of the working cleric: And some more screens from Chapter 2: Oh yes, I forgot to ask this before: Does anyone have a sheet with the talking frames of FE5? It would really save me the trouble of having to play through FE5 another time.
  18. I've been trying to do that but the game keeps crashing after I insert it. Anyway, I got Chapter 2 to work. The identity of the mage should be pretty obvious.
  19. A few more screens: A few changes to Celice's palette Johalva's palette and stats. I'll probably raise his skill by 1 or 2 points if needed. Ending scene of Chapter 1 I wanted to upload also a few pics of Chapter 2, but the game started glitching up for some reason so I can't right now. I've also been messing around with map sprite insertion, without great results so far. All I want is to take FE8's cleric sprite and use it in FE7, but apparently this is too much for the game. Hopefully I'll fix the glitches with Chapter 2 tomorrow, since I personally like it quite a lot, and it features the first appearance of a character that wasn't playable in the original FE4.
  20. Finished. [spoiler=Chapter 23 to Endgame]Chapter 23 Thank god I'd bought some Pure Waters back in C15. Cain charges full speed with Marth following behind, while Vyland gets me some money. I got really lucky that the real Gharnef was the one to the left of the throne, since any of the other two could've ruined this run. I'll probably post some comments about the characters later. For now, I can simplify everything by saying Cain > All. EDIT: Ok, some real commentary. Marth: While he was good for the first few maps, the fact that I had to use his max move nearly every turn ended up hurting his growth, and making him mostly a deadweight later on. Also Rapier's 5 mt sucks. Jagen: He was good all the way until midgame, since he had the highest lance rank for a while, which allowed him to do a respectable chip with the Silver Lance. Lategame, his bad bases and growths really hurt him, though. Cain: The second coming of Jesus. I usually get some really bad Cains, but on this run he blew all of my expectations. The fact that he could solo maps near the endgame with the hax Gradivus + Starsphere combination was incredible. MVP of the entire run, by far. Barst: While Barst is amazing, he's not as good here as he is in H5, since it is generally easier to ORKO. Still, he was ridiculous for most of the run and only hurt by the fact that his only mounted option does not make use of his axe rank. Wolf: Again, he doesn't shine as much as he does in H5. Still, it was nice to have another Hero, since Heroes in this game are overpowered. Sedgar: I needed a staffbot, and since Sedgar has a naturally great DEF growth, I though he would be a good choice. Sadly, his 6 move didn't allow him to keep up with Cain, Barst and Wolf. Vyland: He barely did anything at all. At least his chip was decent during the earlygame. Bantu: Wait, who? Roger: For such a late pick, this guy was amazing. 12 SPD as a Fighter right off the bat is nuts. While his DEF was trash, he did pack quite a punch for the entire game and his SPD was great forever. Midia: Thank you for getting 2 levels with 0 stats each. She's horrible. Should've gone with Boah instead. Elice: Lategame healer with A staves is great, even if for only 2 meaningful chapters. Since Sedgar only got to C staves, the ability to use Fortify without any investment in Endgame was incredibly appreciated. Nagi: She got a few kills. Wasn't really needed, but used her because why not.
  21. I don't really care about it at this moment (since at the point I am in the game there's only 2 chests left, and only one of them is useful), but it just seemed weird that you deployed Julian and used him to get chests while it wasn't mentioned in this thread or in the drafting thread of General Discussion. But now that this has been cleared, at least everyone knows that using Julian is free. And it also showed that it's possible to go through the game with a minimal budget (the only bullions I got were the Chapter 9 and the chapter 19 ones).
  22. Wait, what? As far as I know (and the OP states), it is not possible to use a thief to get chests without drafting him. And if using a thief is allowed, you (or 13) should've said so. I've gone through almost the entire game without the use of either Julian or Rickard and my funds are ridiculously low due to that. Anyway, [spoiler=Chapter 20 to 22]Chapter 20 Reclass: Cain to Draco, Jagen to Draco and Vyland to Cavalier. Sedgar and Roger fend off the Paladins from the south, while Marth, Cain, Jagen, Wolf and Barst cross the river to the throne.
