    All you need to do is kill Gleb, and then we can finally see how far you've fallen. Sanity seems to have taken a big blow, and some Stockholm Syndrome might have happened. You seem more tolerant of Gheb Emblem, anyways. Also, all hail Phantom! (I tried to leetspeak that last bit, but I don't think it would have looked well.)

    Did you apply both patches at once? That would likely cause garble. Apply 1.0, then test. If it crashes/garbles, try 1.1. If that crashes too, then your ROM is unheadered. If you have PC access, use SNESTool and DOSBox to add a header. (SNESTool won't run without it unless your computer is really old.) The Thracia patch is bad. Yeah, the dialogue is translated right through, but very few of the menus are. (Only ones that are translated off hand are the unit-move and system menus.) Not to mention inconsistencies in naming and mistranslations exist. Still, it does its job, if you can remember the advanced GBA battle screen. Mind posting some screenshots?

    Use your favourite units. No-one is terrible in this game on Normal, so you can just use your favourites. Pair-up is very useful to increase unit stats and building supports, and if compatible units max out supports with an S rank, Don't use Frederick to kill enemies. However, it is a very good idea to let him weaken the enemies so others can get the kill. Later on, you can let Fred kill things as his growths aren't awful by any means. (In case of an emergency where someone's about to die, you can let Fred kill units.) Press X to show total enemy range. Keep fragile units out of the pink area!

    I survived halfway through an FE1 remake in FE8, but I got walled because of 60 defence ballistas. The moonspeak did help my doom as I couldn't tell the ballistas apart, since they shared an icon and some did effective damage to Bantu, who could otherwise take ~3/90 damage. (Marth died in around three hits, and it was C13, aka Ballista City.) I think I could survive through FE4 and GBAFE, but other games would be near-unplayable (totally so in FE1's case.)

    You forgot that you have to swear off foot units and spam horses all day long. Even outside FE4.

But the boss is- Oh, 28% chance to hit, I should be ok." *attack hits* Malliesia fell! "NOOOOOOO!!! WHY! WHY? WHY?! I HAVE TO RESTART THE CHAPTER? AGAIN? NOOO!!" *starts sobbing to myself* And now I've experienced ambush reinforcements ruining my day. Just another experience on the Fire Emblem way. *sighs* I'll clear you yet, 2-4! Just so long as Ogma doesn't drop first.

    And I'm just wondering what's in the last treasure chest. Maybe it's a slim sword and you're just not showing it to make GhebFE less awful looking.

    Yeah, I'm from the Republic. Those "safety" guys basically imply the whole internet is evil. Whenever they have an internet safety talk, I know it's anti-internet propaganda and generally tune out/listen in to laugh internally at the stupidity. "EVERYONE IS LYING ABOUT THEIR IDENTITY! DON'T TRUST ANYONE!" - The average contents of these things. (Said kiddo freaked out because I was typing this post. I had to backspace to pacify him, then whenever a young kid approached, I alt-tabbed away.) I honestly would not be surprised if the chief writers of those things had never spent a second on the internet in their lives.

Guy: DID YOU HEAR ABOUT (generic guy who met a crook in reality)? THE INTERNET IS EVIL!!! Me: Please, the Internet is NOT evil. (Please, those stupid Irish internet safety conservatives got to him...) Guy: YES IT IS!!! This went on back and forth for a bit... He oversaw me writing this and started freaking out that I'd get killed. Kiddo, forums are not a death sentence! (Literally.)
