  1. Ogma cut it a bit close, there! you know, it's been a while since someone died. Clearing Anri's Way without a hitch? Hopefully the start of Chapter 14 will catch someone out.
  2. I haven't actually commented on one of these in a while. Keep it up!
  3. No, it does not. The OP says it is Windows only.
  4. It's in the thread title, "Submissions DUE SEPTEMBER 15TH".
  5. Arthur's start is fairly slow. He lacks Pursuit with Levin as a dad (give him the Pursuit Ring to fix that) and only starts with five move, but he gets a horse, and 9 move beats 6 any day. On the other side of the coin, Sety starts amazing, still is amazing, and always will be amazing. Bases and availability are both important as well. Sety has much higher bases and caps, while Arthur wins availability and eventually movement. Personally I've chosen Sety in my playthroughs, but either choice of the two are fine.
  6. Just Mangs. I do throw on the occasional ragefest, but I'm not actually subbed to Marky.
  7. I remember going the long way round. It took forever. By the time I reached the top-right corner, my foot units were well and truly left in the dust.
  8. And I've actually finished Sonic 1... with five emeralds. I've gotten them all... on the Master System version.
  9. By costing a lot of money, he means that the Ocean Seal is worth a lot of money, and using it hurts your funds ranking. If you're not playing ranked, you can just use it anyway. Most promo items are worth 10k, but the Ocean Seal is worth 50k for some reason. Yes, you can find a free one in the desert, so you don't have to actually buy one.
  10. I do like the idea of revival staves, but I think they should be difficult to obtain since a revived unit can save a player a costly reset. Do you really want to reset for the filler units three hours into the chapter? Revival staves can then be used to bring them back, but they should only be 1-use/really hard to get another. (3-2's Aum is trolly: I don't think the Fates method is good: we should be allowed to revive whoever we want, whenever we want!
  11. The patch works fine, finish included. The only garble I found was the status of a dead unit when reviving them with Valkyrie, and the screen doesn't look like vomit. The only really annoying bugs is the fact that the item menu flashes when you scroll it too fast. I haven't have the game crash on me, including the Defence Sword event, so you should be good to go.
  12. Well I've finally finished the game again, and the feeling you get when you actually get a proper ending and not just garble... I don't know how to describe it, but it's satisfying watching everything get better again. Good job on the translation: it definitely flows better. Names... ...honestly, who cares. Hopefully every remaining bug gets squashed by the release, but good job stomping out the arena bugs. You notice the better level ups!
  13. Mind you, if you get it before Chapter 4, you can get an early Rescue staff, and Rescue is really good here, especially on a Master Knight. I actually did the pairing for the early rescue, and well, despite her son's pitiful strength, the power of good weapons made him salvageable. Shame about all that useless magic... Mind you, he was pretty useless until he actually got those good weapons. On the other mind, her daughter makes good use of all that magic. It's your choice really. If you opt for an archer, he'll get a brave bow instead of the rescue.
  14. 1: Some people advocate that the player gets Sylvia's subs, as there are unique items only obtainable by the subs, and the dancer has Charisma, which means ten more hit/avoid. I've never tried them myself, though. 2: Just keep units next to each other and they'll gain five extra love points a turn, which is 1% of the required 500 points. increasing the speed of the love growth. You can get hints at the fortune teller at a castle: 40% means "feelings for", 60% equals "likes", 80% equals "loves", and they'll tie the knot at 100%. Some couples have 20% love boosts, speeding up the process. 3: Do you want to waste Holsety? No? Don't pair Levin with Sylvia, or anyone not named Fury/Tiltyu, for that matter. 4: I never got him to promotion myself, but he'd do well against any bandits. Chapter 3's final segment is full of pirates, which are easy pickings for Dew. Don't forget the Wind Sword while you're at it. 5: Azel's the worst of the bunch IMO, so give it to him. Hopefully he'll actually clear those arenas... If anyone can afford Paragon, let them buy it during the arena grind. Extra levels never hurt. 6: When someone who can use it can afford it. Levin's great with it. 7: It's not a weapon, but many people recommend having Sigurd pass down Paragon to Celice to get him up to speed faster. (Lots of those people also recommend soloing the first chapter of Gen 2 with Celice, but we're not LTCing, everyone else needs exp too...) Anyone who can use the Brave Sword appreciates the Brave Sword. It nullifies Adept, mind you, so take that into account. And don't forget to pass Holsety down! It's one of the best weapons in the game, and it's very useful to have. I also recommend having Celice keep Sigurd's silver sword: the thing should have critical on it by now. (Also, do you have any pairings planned or are you just winging it?)
  15. Warp... skip! That treasure chest only contains Aum in FE11. Here, it has a firestone, and I think it contains a devil sword in FE1, but I'm not 100% sure. In addition, you can only revive people on the tiles surrounding the altar next to the chest here: no "Tiki attacks Medeus-oh she died-never mind, she's alive again" in this game. It's even worse in Book 2: As for a question, how do you feel about the softening/removal of character locked weapons in the remakes? Do you think they should have remained locked, or do you think it's a good thing anyone can use Excalibur/Aura with the right rank? hey. FE12. y u mak rescue e rank. y u leve hammerene prf. wat givs?
  16. I assumed that "going speechless" referred to the lack of posts, meaning no-one's talking, hence people are "speechless". In regards to the actual topic, I have nothing to add.
  17. "man, I should really start working on my game backlog... nah, I'll just run through fe4 again instead." Me, right now.
