  1. Of course they do! They both share being some of, if not the, crummiest units in their respective weapon types!
  2. Increase Special damage by 5 and decrease special cooldown by 1 if I were to guess looking at the effects. Maybe even "Increase Special Charge by +1 if unit triggers special on first attack" since that was her personal skill kinda in Fates (considered the worst in the game)
  3. Ike has a low Res stat though, so even if he were going up against TA3 Myrrhs, he'd still take a solid amount of damage, especially if she triggers Bonfire. As for dealing damage, there's a chance that enemy Myrrhs have boosted defense enough that your Ike can't deal two attacks (her personal disabling enemy follow ups if her defense is higher than the enemies by 5). I don't know how you've built your Ike, but anything higher than 46 defense if he is +Def and packing Fury 3 will disable his follow ups, if he were to follow up at all. She may also be packing Quick Riposte 3, so not only could she disable your follow ups, but she can trigger her own follow up no matter how fast she is, and she can trigger Bonfire on her follow-up. That is assuming you are initiating. Even then, she is a part of 2 separate Emblems, Flier and Dragon, so there is a high chance that she will be used on such teams.
  4. ...so on a hopefully brighter (or more likely bitter toward RNG/me) note, how are you guys handling Sothe being 4* and giving LnD3 as a 4* unit? Counting the one I already used on my Cain, I've so far pulled 3 of him at 4* (and a 4* Klein in the middle) and now I don't know what to do because I've never had this many LnD3 fodders at once. I might give one to Olwen since she desperately needs literally anything to give her an edge in battle, my Delthea being +Spd -Res would appreciate it, Raven is an obvious pick for it, Jeorge with his decent speed might like it, my HNY!Takumi being +Spd -Atk would beg for the skill, Soleil'd be an obvious one but I also don't really feel like she'd make the best use of it considering her being infantry and all, Caeda now that she is an armorkiller might like the extra power without losing much speed, ToD!Nowi might like the little extra speed and power when she doesn't even take hits that well after Fort Fliers anyways, and I do have this Setsuna, +Atk -Def, who I've been wanting to build a little anyways... maybe give her one of these Firesweep Bows I never use while I'm at it. ...also Summoning Focus Falchion I just noticed... god that sounds like a nightmare.

I think I understand kinda better now (they're called Growth points and Growth values in the Gamepress wiki), but at the same time I don't understand why there'd be a "Super boon" possible at such a higher growth rate. In fact Hector seems to be the only one with a base growth point at 10 (excluding HP), making him the only character who can have a Super Boon in one of his highest stats (excluding HP). The only character with a higher growth point value (excluding HP) is Myrrh in Defense, and her Defense base being 3 seems to counter that... This is probably why I don't pay attention to the in-depth of calculations and only the lv 1 and lv 40 stats... I also now think that the higher growth values were probably originally meant for HP and not quite the other stats as much...
  6. Infantry: Bridelia, PAzura, Azura, and Arvis. Bridelia basically cleaned up everything. Cavalry: Cain, Frederick, Camus, and Brave Lyn. Don't know why I didn't use Rein, but whatever, Cain and Freddy did a fine job. Flying: ToD!Nowi, Catria, HNY!Azura, and Beruka. Beruka countered on most of the physical units, and Nowi nuked everything that Beruka wasn't countering. Armor: Effie, WE!Tharja, WE!Robin, and VHector. This was a struggle actually, because no matter what I did, someone died to either the Bow cav, the Hammer infantry, or Lloyd, and in fact I had to teach Effie Fortify Defense to let WE!Tharja tank Lloyd and Spur Attack to Hector so Robin could do enough chip damage to the Hammer Infantry for Hector to follow up with a Wrath charged Glimmer. I even had Effie use Smite to send Robin and Vector to the opposite side of the river to deal with the enemies there. I'd post videos, but honestly I could do that at any time and I highly doubt that anyone else was lucky enough to get a +Atk -Res VHector...
  7. Surely they knew that'd happen though, right? Normally "super boons" are for the stats that the unit usually doesn't have much need for or is quite low anyways (low defense/resistance units might have this for instance, Selena has it in Attack and HP, Florinas is in Speed), but Vector's final neutral Attack is 38 already, and it becomes 42 with +Atk. He is actually just shy of being just as strong as +atk Chrom or Effie, and neither of them have powerful personal weapons.
  8. I shoulda said something last night, but WHY IS +ATK VHECTOR +4??? I know units have been getting more and more meta lately, but this is a little ridiculous... he has 58 atk with Berserk Armads at lv 40, for gods sake. If I could give you my spare I would.
  9. Man, the music for the training maps is pretty neat. Also, the training maps don't get the "less exp/sp after beating map" thing, so feel free to beat them all. Also very specific GHB quests...
  10. Gotta love Valentines Hector. "Just here to fight"? Man such a funny- Wait shit what, +Atk Hector is +4 to base stat? That can't be right. Then does that mean this Hector, who appears to be +Atk -Res, just became even more valuable than normal Hector??? ...shit bro.
  11. 200 Dews and I don't know what to do with them... hm. Here's my units who can use them. I don't really use any of the above in Arena unless they're a bonus unit, which seems to be never, so they'd have to make the refinery worth it in their moments in the spotlight and Arena Assault.

I actually try to save every unit who i believe can be good for my needs once I get them with the right nature, such as +atk -def Felicia I've sat on for months doing nothing til the update was announced. Some of these other units are +def -atk Azama, +spd -hp Selena, +spd -res Kagero, +atk -spd Sophia, and every GHB unit iveb not 5*ed yet. ...Raven I've never had with a good nature apparently.
  13. Welp, Lyn Emblem ahoy. Even fairly balanced, Sword - Blue Magic - Bow - Staff. Also Bow Valor... does this mean we'll get a Bow Dancer at some point? There's now a Valor for every weapon type that has a dancer except Breaths and Red Tomes.
  14. In training Raven, gotta love how he's all "Settle Down" and "Foes must fall", meanwhile his default special is Daylight/Sol.
  15. Marth does become capable of giving +10 to a stat, in thinking, and +8 defense with Drive Def 4, from raw Spurs/Drives... which is pretty neat if that's your thing.
  16. My Hinoka is actually -Spd, so the spear does nothing for me... but whatever, not gonna let that Slaying Lance+ go to waste now. Can you beat not just learning the new weapon right away, but also promoting a unit for the new weapon right away? The great thing, however, is that Felicia is a free unit, so new players actually have a decent shot at being able to have a decent unit without much inheritance headaching.
  17. If I recall there is a lot of "bond" talk in Awakening, plus Awakening does have the Pair Up skills available (Chrom and Lucina both can learn Dual Strike+ and Dual Guard+, while Lucina can get Dual Support+ from some of her mothers) Them awakening guys sure do love their "bonds" though :D

  19. I wonder how this will change how people would prefer to build them? Felicia I don't see needing anything other than +Atk -Def because her Atk still sucks, Raven I think won't change much but then again I don't know much about him, but the others I wonder...?
  20. Yeah, but this'll be an interesting relic of the past to look back on. "Ah yes, the days when Raven was once Brave Axe+ fodder and Caeda was pity breaking... Troubling times indeed, for they were never wanted for more than a few units..." Also, Marth gets Spur Spectrum, Alm gets Double Lion at 100% hp (I think anyways, need to know if it means as a Brave effect or as a simple do 2 attacks, ala Brash Assault), and Ylissians get Spectrum Bond. Wrath got buffed kinda (triggering on the AoE pre-battle skills like Blazing Thunder, which is neat I guess), Manaketes will only trigger their transformation once per battle (cool), and I don't know what Eckezachs forge is, anyone wanna tell me?
  21. So in promoting Felicia, turns out when learning skills you can pick from their original weapon (In this case Silver Dagger+) or the new weapon (Felicia's Plate here). I mean that's one way to handle it, but who in their right mind would ever pick Silver Dagger over Felicia's Plate, or Armorslayer+ over Wing Sword? Also all my 5* Ravens are +Def -Res or -HP, so guess the refinement means nothing to me... but whatever, +2 Raven with Basilisko pretty neat.

  23. Free pull from Movement Skills, 4 red and 1 colorless. ...go for the colorless because screw it I'm feeling lucky. ...4* Sothe. LnD3 fodder. ...yeah if you're stuck in colorless hell, it's because I hog all the decent colorless pulls.
  24. My Brave Lyn could run it off of 34 base res (she is +res -HP) and a res +3 SS. It'd actually benefit herself a good bit as well thinking about it... From there I guess I just have to make sure she can get Hone Caved... I do also know to replace Glacies, but I didn't really think I should put it in the calculator and see just how much she can do without triggering any specials. If the enemy is debuffed with Chilling Seal and both Def and Res ploy, and Guntthra is fully Cav Emblemed with Moonbow, the results come out to 196-2-2 (with the healers removed for some reason) @Ice Dragon From my perspective I'd say +Def because Great Flame only triggers its effect if Myrrh is +5 def higher than the opponent (+10 Myrrh with Fort Dragons hits 49 Defense alone) and having the bulk to take trivial damage from bows after Iotes Shield would be a great boon. Also higher Bonfire damage is pretty neat. Then again I don't know how you'd build her anyways. I envision Distant Counter, Quick Riposte 3, Hone Dragons, Iotes Shield, Great Flame, assist, and Bonfire if I had the blessings you had (freaking +Spd -HP...)
