  1. He wanted to try that, but he didn't close his eyes in the right direction. Somehow this does not impact his ability to aim a bow whatsoever.
  2. Pffft... Took me a bit to notice Estelle dropping everything. Let's see him get all condescending in that get-up.
  3. Maybe I wouldn't have hated him if that was his regular attire Now don't go taking my words out of proportion. I can see you coming from a mile away.
  4. Falkkone and disappoint are incompatible words. Heeeeeeeeeeey... Two of those are not like the others! What are you playing at, Shrimpers?
  5. For no reason at all, here's an image of a cool portrait. People have been wondering why his eyes are like that since Sword of Heaven and Earth came out way back in 2015. Unlike most Japanese hacks, it's fairly grounded, so this dude's weird eyes stand out quite a bit. Now that the game has been translated, I can confirm that... there's no reason for it. He's a completely regular dude, he just has cat eyes because he can. He's turning out well in this run. Might be the first time I use him, if I don't feel tempted to run with the nomad Jeigan or the fat nomad instead.
  6. Yeah, that is pretty awesome. I'll mark down the name.
  7. Use Charlotte. That's not true, that's a lie. Quite true, quite true. Now here are 5000 words on why you should like the same games I do Simply awesome. Fragged a sniper with syringes to this. ...Then we lost. Where's it from?
  8. True enough. But well, I haven't started yet. We'll find out in due time.
  9. Nah, Ruben already has-- Well, okay. Duly noted.
  10. I was referring to the fact that the top results on Google gave conflicting answers. Still, yeah, there's no doubt some grinding, but... Goddamnit, I need to see that magic system. Even if I then proceed to hate everything about the game and drop it two hours in. I need to see what "mierda" does. Still better than Armagon.
  11. Noooo don't enable me, it will never work and then I'll come here and rant and make everyone upset again... If you're curious, it's Treasure of the Rudras, the game Observer mentioned earlier. Come to think about it, that's the same way I got 'round to nabbing Bloodstained. Observer's off-hand mentions are the best recommendations. Look, I may not be fond of RPGs, but you can't just tell me "you can craft your own spells by stringing words together" and expect me to take that in stride. I can literally toss shit at enemies. How amazing is that? I need to see how that works, if nothing else.
  12. Guys, I'm feeling tempted to play a RPG. Please convince me not to.
  13. Well, that was the final boss of Beard Blade. A little anticlimatic, it was far from the most difficult boss in the game. Actually, I enjoyed the penultimate boss a lot more, it did something pretty cool. Still, fun little game. I'll probably go back and play the day/night versions of the levels I missed. All in all, I'd say roughly 5-6 hours is what you'll get out of it, maybe a bit more if you go for 100%. A bit short, but fun.
  14. This is why you play TF2 instead of Overwatch You know, if literally every aspect of the game being better wasn't enough of a reason
  15. I would recommend it. The controls are fluid, each level is unique and throws some sort of gimmick to keep things fresh, there's a crapton of collectibles to go after, and the graphics and music are charming. Only real flaw I can see is that there's a bit of technical weirdness, like resolution options aren't saved (you have to set it to fullscreen every time you boot the game), ESC shuts off the game without warning or confirmation, and you can't change or even check the keyboard controls. There were also some performance problems, but they've been patched already. Then there's the day and night cycle, which basically makes every level (except boss levels, which are set in stone) contain two levels for the price of one. There's a couple of levels where this just opens up the path to this or that collectible, but for most of them, both versions are radically different. For example, there's one level where, at night time, the gimmick is that there's flying enemies that explode if you don't kill them and platforms that drop at set intervals, so you have to watch your jumps. At day time, you have to win a race against some asshole over boats, fishing nets full of fish and buildings. Yeah, that's the same level. So yeah, the game's great. Not too complex, but not braindead either - it keeps itself interesting while being easy-to-pick-up fun. Also, there's no lives or anything of that sort. If you die, you get put back on the latest checkpoint and that's it. You even keep the collectibles you grabbed, the game's that nice. Plus, you use your beard to attack. How awesome is that?
  16. Okay, so that wasn't the direction that I was expecting this game to take. Gotta say, the level design in this game is superb. Not only is every level way different and unique, this also applies to their day and night versions. There's basically two levels for each level. It's great stuff, really great.
