  1. I'll be honest and say that I grouped the properties together based on color; I should've just done colors instead of properties. Well, minus the Railroads and Utilities because I actually gave them a specific order. Light Blue belongs in Top in my mind because of how easy it is to build up on them. In fact, it's easier to get than Orange as well. People are more willing to trade Light Blues over Oranges merely because of the lower property value. Not to mention Light Blues still have high traffic. For everyone not going to Jail, Light Blue has the best possibility of being landed on coming around the Go. As for Reds, I agree, they deserve higher. I think my reasoning was that they're kind of expensive to build up but they deserve better than the Purples, at least. I'd like to see more argument for them being over Light Blues but for now they'll go to the bottom of Top. Building on Yellow isn't easy. Getting all three properties is hard because trading is tricky, unless you've got some Greens or Dark Blues to spare. The money that has to go into them is also not worth it, especially when you can build on the Dark Blues for around the same amount of money and make much more. I agree, the more recent computerized ones however tend to automatically build hotels once four houses are reached. Since they're the highest property value I also am using them into account with the tier list.
  2. Jill is the best non-Titania unit in FE9. Stats-wise she's on par with Ike, and her utility is better than Titania's because of flying.
  3. Because not only are the properties an absolute pain to acquire, they're also very expensive to build on, and getting maximum result on them is very hard to do. It's easier to get Hotels on the Dark Blues. Not to mention traffic to that area is fairly low, because people are usually stopped by Go to Jail or bypass it entirely.
  4. Actually the Genesis music is better than the SNES music. That I've found true for many of the games that are on both. Fuck the baby. I agree. I collect lots of the Music Boxes and then go insane. And if I still have a Red Potion I use that too. Usually works well. And soda cans.
  5. I'm actually phobic of needles yet didn't flinch when getting inked or pierced. I think it may be context. You actually shouldn't lose too much blood getting pierced unless your piercer sucks. I felt fine after getting pierced.
  6. So I'm wondering how many people have played this. It's from the early 90's, released on the Genesis and SNES consoles. It's quite elaborate for its time, with 48 levels and many bonus levels. I love this game, although I've never gotten past Level 20 -.- So I'm just wondering if anyone's played it before and their thoughts~
  7. Sain (although he's getting speed blessed in my most recent playthrough, I may use him), Lowen, Makalov, Tormod, Beowulf.
  8. I agree, but they are still fairly expensive to build on. ~$200 per house IIRC. So you're still shelling out almost $2000 for them. Nonetheless, the payback is worth it if you get high traffic. The greens in my mind are useless because it's hard to get all three especially when they're so damn expensive. And then building on them is even worse. Greens, in my mind, have no value except in trades when you want other, better, properties. This is why I've put the Railroads at the top. There's a lot of traffic to each, especially with Chance cards, and the money is worth it. What is your opinion on the order? That's nice.
  9. I had piercings in my ears but I took 'em out when they got infected. I liked them but I like tattoos more. That being said, I love people who get piercings. I have a lot of friends with nose piercings and they look great. A lot of friends of mine also have industrials and cartilage piercings and they look good too. I actually have a friend with... ~16 piercings. Most on her face but some are in...other places. I don't mind navel piercings but once you get beyond that I get a little wierded out.
  10. Hmm, I guess I could make a contribution or two to this thread. Pokemon FireRed/Leaf Green: Silph Co. I personally like this theme better than the R/B/Y version only because of the varying tempos. It really makes the piece more interesting. God fucking damnit I cannot begin to tell the amount of times I've just let the battle last longer so I can listen to this epic theme. Words cannot describe how brilliant this theme is. The Genesis version of this game had so much better sound than the SNES version. I wish I had the Genesis version of this theme somewhere, it's so much better. I'll think of some more later~
  11. Exactly. Owning a Dark Blue is extremely valuable, because even competent players want to complete the Dark Blues quickly and start making bank. But if you're sitting with two Oranges and/or Light Blues and you need the third, getting both of those for a Dark Blue is not only an even trade money-wise, but it's valuable for you.
  12. Best: Pent, even though he steals all of my EXP~ Honorable Mentions: Eltshan and the Cross Knights, Sety, and Jaffar Worst: Caelin Soldiers Dishonorable Mention: Daein Tier 1 NPC's (This includes you, 3-13 ARCHER), Nodion Brigade, Rausten Knights, Ostian Knights, Fiona's troops, and the Lanceritter.
  13. I definitely recognize I use it more than I should, but I don't see it being so much of a damaging thing anymore. It's still considered a curse word but there are words that have taken its place.
  14. I think this list is more general, if anything. However, it can be assumed that an average number of players is used. Similar to any tier list, really. It's the most ideal situation.
  15. I'd like to assume that as well. Once again it also depends on how many players. With eight it's much harder to get even one Monopoly, but with three to five it's much easier.
  16. It's not hard to have more than one, it of course depends on the number of players. Odds are you can snag the Jail/Just Visiting corner with a few well-planned trades of your more useless Yellows and Greens. Since they're higher base value people are more likely to trade those away (at base two Purples is less than one Green).
  17. The thing is, on the first runthrough, you're probably picking up a Light Blue, Purple, and Orange. The one issue is, of course, trading. Your odds of getting all three of any of those is tough. Blader's right, getting Light Blues is the easiest because people are more willing to part with them, even if they're aware you can easily begin building if you get the piece they own. Merely because of the low rent cost and most people can get it.
  18. Agreed. Especially against smart players and/or computers. You have to be willing to make a few sacrifices. My strategy is of course buying some of the lower tier ones (like greens and yellows) and bartering those off. Also, this is a question for people out there: how is the ranking of the Railroads? Should they be rearranged at all, or are they fine as is? I tried to do it based on traffic to the areas but I wonder if anyone else has an alternative.
  19. True, true. Getting them is a pain but once you have them it's so worth it. However, they have low traffic. Then again, their traffic is about equal to the Purples/Browns. And buying them is actually pretty good because the two combined cost less than buying all three Yellows.
  20. I have never heard of that way before. And I've moved the Purples/Browns up to below the Dark Blues for now. However, now I'm wondering if the two could switch, simply because of the extreme risk differences.
  21. So Greens to Not Even Worth It and Purples/Browns to below Dark Blues is what I'm possibly reading. In that case should Utilities go to Bottom?
  22. Okay. Good enough for me. I agree about Orange and Light Blue switching. Only reason why is because of higher traffic to Orange. It is, however, easier to get Hotels on Light Blue. I'll make the switch now. My reasoning for Purples/Browns/Cheapass is because rolling to get them isn't easy. On the first runaround you need exactly three to get Mediterranean. Since three can only be achieved with two possible combinations (one/two and two/one) it's not easy, whereas you need six (one/five, two/four, three/three, four/two, five/one), eight (two/six, three/five, four/four, five/three, six/two), or nine (three/six, four/five, five/four, six/three) for a Light Blue. Your odds of getting two in one turn is less but more possible than snagging Mediterranean (getting three/three to snag Oriental, and then rolling two or three to get one of the others). Not to mention CPU's tend to trade those fairly easily (getting Park Place/Boardwalk requires an arm, a leg, half of your properties, and half of your money). Although you most likely can Hotel Baltic and Mediterranean in one fell swoop, it's getting them that's not as easy.
  23. In that case I'll drop them, but how low should they go? Below Dark Blues at the least. I don't think they should go below the Greens because of the massive payout you have to perform on them to get them to be even slightly useful.
