  1. It's a variable return, at best. I know PEMN but in my plays of Monopoly owning both has been a good income at times, especially when trying to get enough money to build hotels. I may drop them, at least below the Purples, but they aren't bad enough to be any lower than, say, the Dark Blues. Low risk and variable payoff >>>High risk and great payoff.
  2. I'll color-code it and link a board so people know which is which. :3 For reasons listed above, no. First, there are cards in Chance and Community Chest that direct players to the utilities. Second, they are actually fairly easy to land on. Electric Company moreso because it's in a high-traffic area. Third, owning both actually nets a decent amount of money--especially on high rolls. More money than owning three railroads. As for the other proposals, I do think the Oranges and Reds could rise, Oranges more because it's easier to place hotels on them, and the money isn't too radically different from the Reds. (IIRC it's $200 difference in the most expensive). I also want to move the Light Blues up. However, I don't want too many of the properties to be in higher tiers. I'll see what I can do. I'm keeping the Dark Greens, Baltic/Med, and Yellows as-is for now. I may even swap Dark Green with Baltic/Med only because of the massive amounts of money you have to shovel into them. EDIT: Oranges and Light Blues moved to High. Oranges because of high traffic and fairly easy Hotel building, Light Blues because of the extremely easy Hotel building and also semi-decent traffic especially coming off of Go. Utilities and Purples are in High Middle, in that order. I may switch them in the near future. Utilities have decent traffic and decent payoff, especially before you have Houses/Hotels on properties (equivalent to owning three railroads, roughly). Purples have very high traffic, extremely easy Hotel building, and decent payoff. Reds and Dark Blues to Middle. Reds because of the great traffic but building Hotels on them is tough especially if you're also building on a higher tier. Dark Blues have the best payoff but the risk is too high sometimes. Everything else is the same.
  3. I agree. The Light Blues are my go-to properties. They're extremely easy to get and extremely easy to get hotels on. The only reason I had them so low was because of the lack of money you get from them, however, they tend to be good starters. Dark Blues are a tough placement, because while tough to get, they have a massive reward. They can easily eliminate most opponents with $2000 rent on Hotel!Boardwalk. However, I do agree the cost may outweigh the benefit. Dark Greens are fine as is, for now, because I do not see the value in the two beginning properties. They aren't easy to get and have little payback, even at the low cost to buy and place houses/hotels on. Unlike the Light Blues, you most likely won't get them on the first runaround, maybe not until the third runaround, and by then you're most likely looking to complete a color to start building on it. I organized railroads by my own experience with video game Monopolies (and thus an RNG) and based it off of frequency of pieces landing on them. This, of course, is arguable and I really think that the differences between all four are minimal. What are people's opinions on the Utilities? They're not hard to get and tend to get traffic to them, but since the payoff is variable, should they drop a little? So here's a few trending topics, I guess: Light Blues up Dark Blues down Dark Greens down? First two up? Utilities?
  4. This list takes into account price to purchase, price of building houses, location on the map, price of rent, and also the prospect of landing on the property. This is /slightly/ personal experience based, but I also take into account the other factors. Railroad Tier Reading Railroad B&O Railroad Pennsylvania Railroad Short Line High Tier Connecticut Avenue Vermont Avenue Oriental Avenue New York Avenue Tennessee Avenue St. James Place Illinois Avenue Indiana Avenue Kentucky Avenue High Middle Tier Virginia Avenue States Avenue St. Charles Place Middle Tier Boardwalk Park Place Baltic Avenue Mediterranean Avenue Low Tier Marvin Gardens Ventnor Avenue Atlantic Avenue Electric Company Water Works Bottom Tier Pennsylvania Avenue North Carolina Avenue Pacific Avenue Discuss.
  5. Legault's hair is still too bright. It's got a fuschia tone to it that doesn't really translate well. Rath looks good so far, but the hair color doesn't match as well--it should be darker. Also, the cheekbone is a bit awkward, and makes him look very gaunt. Unless that's what you were going for.
  6. Ephraim's FE8 facesprite also uses only two shades in the cloth. The thing that bugs me about some of these, especially Tana and Ephraim, is the angling. The angles are very weird, and most humans would not be sitting in those poses for long periods of time. I do like how you're revamping all of the mugs, and that will give all of them consistency (something that some hacks lack in graphics departments because people usually have multiple spriters). However, the shading does need work. The faces are very pillowed and use too much of the second shade. Celice's hair is too big, or his head is too small (I know SNES!FE had this issue with the hair but it is a fixable error), and Seth's head also looks too small in comparison to his body. And I agree, the lightest shade of Ephraim's hair does not match at all. His FE8 haircolor works fine for this situation.
  7. The best part of Shanan is that he faces very low hit rates from the Dark Mages with Balmung. Something like ~15. he still got killed because fuck you RNG
  8. If we do drop Ike (N), why don't we group Titania (N) and Titania (T) together? Ike (T) should stay where he is. If Ike (N) is dropped, how about just above Volug? Bring Sothe right below Ike (N), and group Mia (N) and Mia (T) together, put them right below Volug in Top.
  9. Are you joking? Ike is NOT God. Yes, he's better in FE10 because he gets axes on promotion for better attack power and the WT doesn't exist in FE10 HM, but he pales in comparison to what Haar does. Haar soloes whole maps. Haar rescuedrops others to locations in only a few turns. Haar is invaluable in every chapter. Haar requires nothing to be good. The only thing he could use is Nullify, which he doesn't have much competition for.
  10. He doesn't need all that hair covering his face if he's keeping his hair short. The reason long haired myrms have their hair like that is because there's more hair. If the hair on their scalp is shorter, so should the hair in their face.
  11. What's with the Many Faces of Marth? Probably why they gave Hector, Lyn, and Pussywood multiple faces in FE7, but these faces are all weirdly different from one another. The angle changes entirely too.
  12. True. A few forests or forts would make it work better. Even adding a road, or differently colored grass would make it less tilespammed, and more interesting. Also, Sholes, you've got a Brigand on the water. I don't remember if they can walk on water or not Jesus? but if they can't, only Brunya can take him down. Might want to fix that, especially if it's a Rout map.
  13. It looks nothing like her, but at least it's not mine =/ Not to mention she shouldn't look that young, if she's arguably less than 5 years younger than Zephiel. Murdock's armor colors lack contrast between the shades, and Legault's hair should be light purple, not pink. Looks like you upped the saturation too much. Generic bandit guy also needs more contrast in his bandana. Map looks tilespammed but I don't do maps so I'll leave that to someone who knows them better than I.
  14. FE4 Gen 1: Sigurd, Fury, Lex; Levin, Ayra, Jamka FE4 Gen 2: Celice, Arthur, Fee; Lakche, Sety, Shanan FE6: Thany, Miledy, Clarine; Rutger, Dieck, Lugh FE7: Kent, Florina, Farina; Nino, Pent, Harken FE8: Seth, Vanessa, Valkyrie!Natasha (lolFE8); Sage!Lute, Joshua, Bishop!Natasha FE9: Jill, Titania, Oscar (lolFE9mounted); Boyd, Rhys, Volke FE10: Jill, Haar, Titania (lolFE10Haar); Mia, Soren, Gatrie (lolGreilMercenaries)
  15. Levin!Arthur for #1 It'll be interesting if he looks at FE4 kids, if he analyzes each father, or only specific fathers. I mean, there are some kids that are just ridiculous (Claude!Swordtwins) but I'm interested in the possibilities.
  16. Hector's hairstyle is a throwback in ways to Lex. It's possible, especially since he wields Armads. But, of course, he's descended from Roland, who's more of a Baldo-type if anything. I mean, there were probably intermarriages but he may have more than one.
  17. Don't diss the Black Fang Sequels, man, we're just trying to give better development to the coolest group of people that IS seemed to forget
  18. Pretty sure you need to raise the base Con of Archsages for that one.
  19. The point I was trying to make was that Levin!Arthur really doesn't make up for the turns that LevinxTiltyu take. Especially since you also need Holsety, which is another turn. He's very overrated.
  20. Chapter 2: 48/98 Turns To Nodion: 5 Turns I took an extra turn because I had Sigurd Give Diadora all his money in the base so that way she could get the Magic Ring, Relive Staff, and Warp Staff. Sigurd (shocker) killed Elliot and most of his knights, with Ayra and Alec cleaning up the scrubs. To Heirhein: 8 Turns Azel scored the Phillip kill here, Sigurd charged forth as fast as possible, Ethlin and Ayra killed everything else. Diadora killed like 2 things. Maybe. To Anphony: 8 Turns I stalled a bit on the wave of Voltz's mercs/Anphony knights in order to prevent death. It worked. Ayra got the Voltz kill and Elite Ring'd her way to glory. She cleared the arena after Sigurd seized Anphony. Levin was my choice for the freebie, I sent him through, killing the bandits who got in his way, ignoring the villages. Sylvia ran north and west to Anphony through the trees. To Mackily: 14 (+3 Levin) = 17 Turns Ethlin used Return on Levin, Diadora warped Ayra and Azel to Heirhein to catch up. Sigurd got most of the kills here, including Clement. Shock. Levin only got attacked by one Fury Squader this time and then recruited Fury. She picked up the Hero Lance in the base and cleared some arena levels. Then she proceeded to fly to the rest of the group and meet up just before the wave of Augusty soldiers. To Augusty: 10 Turns Sigurd and Ethlin took out Zyne, everyone else destroyed the others. I was hoping for Sigurd to critblick Shagall but it didn't work, so I had to seize on Turn 45 instead. Stats: And for fun, Ayra's post-promotion stats (promoted at C3 base): Chapter 3: 27/125 Turns To Silvail: 5 Turns Oh, Sigurd rushing. How I love thee. He ran forward, killed stuff, then Critblicked Jacoban. Azel got Diadora's Magic Ring, and Ayra got the Hero Sword from Lex. Also, Diadora's final stats: To Mandino: 12 Turns The Thunder Sword is my new friend. Sigurd killed almost every Cross Knight with it. He also killed Eltshan, but he used the SSS for that. Ayra and Azel killed the others. I had to do some fancy work to get Sigurd to ORKO Shagall, but I just had Ayra kill Papilion and have Ethlin heal and yay, critblick! To Orgahill: 10 Turns I'm of the opinion that I'm not allowed to critblick the boss standing on Orgahill. Because I can never do it. So, yeah. Extra turn. Briggid and Tiltyu died. And, we wave farewell to Ethlin: Not as strong as the last time I drafted her but she was invaluable nonetheless. Awesome healing skills. Stats:
  21. How many turns does it take for Levin and Tiltyu to fall in love? How many turns does Levin!Arthur save? Do the two have any correlation?
  22. #29332, That Third First Gen Draft for FE4 has finished drafting~ Octavian: Sigurd, Diadora, Ethlin, Alec, Ayra, Fury, Azel Ballin' Holyn: Sigurd, Diadora, Lex, Holyn, Claude, Midir, Fin 13thshadow: Sigurd, Diadora, Cuan, Noish, Sylvia, Briggid, Lachesis Skasaher: Sigurd, Diadora, Beowulf, Aideen, Jamka, Levin, Dew
  23. They wrote that ending to tie FE7 and FE6 together slightly more, if anything.
