  1. Anything that is published directly by Nintendo, BUT isn't the standard Nintendo fare of Samus/Peach...and actually, not Zelda. I'm bending the rules for Zelda as I'm really enjoying the games. And in the case of Fire Emblem, anything that isn't Lucina, Female Corrin or other main female characters from Awakening/Fates. Eirika, Caeda, Lilina, etc; you know the drill.
  2. A two way tie between Inspector Javert and reformed outlaw Jean Valijean. What is you favorite Tokyo Mirage Sessions character?
  3. Pft. I don't know, and I don't care. Next! Are you going around chasing after guys' asses? You know you don't want to be around some foul-mouthed guy like Dieck, right?
  4. @Randoman, @Armagon FE, is admittedly about bonds and trust, so it would be out of character (not to mention frustrating in gameplay) if the antimosity grows. Perhaps what could happen is to start with a set penalty when the former enemy joins, and decrease them as that recruit built supports with his/her former adversaries. For arguments sake, a hypothetical FE6 Echoes can have Milady (being from Bern, the enemy nation) suffer -15% avo and -10% crit dodge penalties when a non-Bernian is nearby. Her penalty can be lessened in set amounts if she supports with, say, Lugh or Jodel. The penalty will not be mitigated, however, if Milady had her conversations with Zeiss or Elen (both being Bernians). Each penalties will be specific to the units, which means that Elen and Zeiss would has smaller penalties than Milady, to reflect the former's lower stats overall and the latter's lack of availability.
  5. Not sure. I've read many books, but not enough from a single author. Which FE game do you think should be the standard for all future FE games, including remakes? Separating answers based on different aspects (such as story/gameplay) allowed.
  6. Your own bed in your own bedroom would be ideal. Your favorite piece of literature?
  7. We all know that support conversations and bonuses are a thing in FE. But what about the opposite? Should future games (including remakes) have enmity penalties where former enemies who are forced to work together (read: Oboro + all Nohrians from Fates Revelations, Zeiss/Shin from FE6 etc) still resents each other, leading to poor teamwork. Such as lowered accuracy, weaker attack, dual guard fills up slower or even has a chance of failing. I think there was something similar with the Darcen Hater potential from Valkyrie Chronicles. Granted, this could be complicated for newcomers to FE, and thus I think this should stay away from Normal Mode. But I would like to see this done on higher difficulties. Adding an extra challenge without having to rely on inflated enemy stats is a good thing, for starters. Also, if the former enemy has high stats (which I think is usually the case with the Minerva archetype), then this would be one way the game would force you to not overly rely on him/her, other than, say, the fatigue mechanic or having effective weapons everywhere. I wouldn't mind seeing more integration of character backstories with gameplay. Perhaps the penalty would wear off over time, and the penalty can also be gradually taken off if the unit builds support with his/her former enemies.
  8. Commandant Teste in Kancolle is his waifu. (And I think her fashion sense is awesome!)
  9. Not anymore. I'm just a couple of chapter left to do, and I'm already burnt out. Can I please borrow your brother for a couple of days? I'm right in the middle of Judeau (read: Chapter 12 of Binding Blade) and the colonial officers (read: Aracard's units) are giving me so much trouble; your brother seems to be up to the task of sniping them off the face of the floor of the Colonial Governor's office. lol jks
  10. Funny, I've got the opposite problem for some reason. Every time I use the proverbial First Amendment to express my hate, I get yelled at by others.
  11. Referring to one of your quotes in your signature, did one of the WWI Generals actually said "Go fuck yourself!" to Hitler?!

    1. blah the Prussian

      blah the Prussian

Paul Von Lettow-Vorbeck was a WWI general and the only one to remain undefeated. Yeah, he did; Hitler wanted him to do some propaganda stuff with the Wehrmacht so he told him to fuck himself. Nothing was done to him because he was one of the few people in Germany at that point more popular than Hitler.

  12. Hi, I'm just playing catch up on your LP for Valkyrie Chronicles 1 (on the 3rd page). I love how Ishara is hyped as the badass tankmaster. Your LP (and Blah's recommendation) has got me interested in the game, so I'll be getting the game on Steam after I finish my own LP on Fates (unless if a port of that comes on Switch via VC).

      Ertrick36

I'm glad I could help spark an interest in the game for you!

I can vouch for the Steam version.  The only issues present - which are pretty minor - is that if you have a frame rate higher than 30 FPS, you'll receive slightly more damage than normal from interception fire (I just see that as making it more of a fun challenge, to be honest, because your units tend to be bullet sponges anyway), and the tank controls can be a little wonky if you're using a keyboard and mouse.

I hear the PS4 version is also pretty nice, though I don't have it myself.

  13. I was thinking about getting Valkyria Chronicles on Steam, but I wonder whether there would be a porting of that on the Switch. Either way, there's going to be more backlog on my Switch games.
  14. Hi, sorry for the late update. I've been asked to work at our company's factory and the commute has been both time-consuming (1.5 hours on the train) and exhausting. Anyway, I've uploaded images for Grand Epilogue 2.
  15. Australia in general. At the very least the working lifestyle is much better than in Japan. Do you want to know who I fanoned/headcanoned as an Aussie? (It's in my LP fanfic under my signature.) @Clarine: Your tea of choice? English Breakfast, Earl Grey, or any other?
  16. What a coincidence! I just came back from a concert featuring the Consouls in Sydney in which they played various pieces from FF7! Maybe this is a calling to play FF7!!
  17. Anyone else getting the PC version from Steam? I'm thinking of that route.
