  1. Another update: It has come to my attention that the Miiverse is closing down soon. As I do not know of any other easy way to capture game footage within the 3DS, I will take records of game footage of remaining chapters over the next week or two. As such, there may be some delays with the current story.
  2. The final battle's about to start! (See the previous post immediately above for the update.)
  3. Sorry to long to reply. I did have a list in my blog at Bulbagarden, but that got deleted in the site's IT system overhaul. Let me reconstruct what I remember. Also this does not include anything from Sun and Moon, as I haven't played them yet: Ho-Oh: That would definitely be my number 1. As related to what I wrote for my answer to favouring GSC/XY, Ho-Oh is a Legendary Pokémon that actually looks Japanese and based on Japanese mythology - just the way Johto (or the first four main regions in their entireties) should be based on. Charizard/Pikachu: Both based on the Johto arc of the anime, which gave me good memories. Charizard might gain an edge here, as the one owned by Ash was great with the fight against the Movie's Entei, and also with how Ash's ingenuity prevailed when he went up against Gary's Blastoise in the League. Greninja: My starter Pokémon when I came back to Pokémon via XY. I liked how it had a good amount of type coverage, which I don't think was all that common with starters. (Does anyone know about the Gen 4 starters?) Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken: This one was from when I did a bit of online battling. I was up against a Darkrai that was 30 levels higher than me, and Blaziken prevailed. I could not win against the rest of the opponent's team which had all Lv 100 Legendaries, however. Plus there was also that funny episode when I watched the Pokémon anime for the first time in a while, sometime later in high school, where Ash, Max, and Pikachu went through shenanigan moments with a particularly rebellious Torchic that evolved into a Combusken. Ampharos: I've found the Mareep line generally useful in both GSC and especially BW2. If I remember correctly, it had stats that were generally higher than my other Electric Pokémon I had with all of the Pokémon games (excluding Legendaries), so on the whole it was useful. It is saying something when my Martina in BW2 knocked out all but one of Marshall's Pokémon, with Cotton Guard, the Static Ability, and Rocky Helmet. It was sorely missed in BW1, considering how utterly useless the Blitzle line (or a number of other Gen 5 Pokémon I had) was. Furfrou: While I didn't notice this when I actually played XY, Furfrou really fits the French-based aesthetic of Kalos. Hawlucha: It looks cool with a Mexican wrestler aesthetic, and it's also a lot of fun using Dig against Rock/Electric-type Pokémon (and not having to risk being obliterated with Earthquake from the opponent). As a special request to @Clarine: Which Pokémon do you think is the classiest? And which would be the most quintessentially British? To @Rex Glacies (as per normal procedures): Have you played the earlier games before Awakening? Particularly anything before FE7? And you favourite within that selection?
  4. Yeah, nah, I would have liked to see what Siegbert or Forrest would have been like. But alas not with the vanilla game.
  5. Same here, once I moved closer to Sydney CBD, all I have is my bike and my pre-paid transit card. As for a couple of times when I can't go somewhere without a car (which are thankfully not very common), I have asked friends who happen to drive in the same direction take me either there or a train station, and contribute $5 for petrol.
  6. Apart from a larger Defense boost for pair up (which is already there in Fates), making the Dual Guard gauge filling up faster is another option. I say, overall, Pair/Up rescues should actually have class-differentiated effects. Armors can do the above and also have a chance to block attacks in attack stance (maybe support-based; 5-10% max chance, or Skill/4(%)), Assasins and Swordmasters can attack twice (albeit the second being a quarter of normal damage) etc.
  7. @Glaceon Mage: Well, at least Caeda don't have the stupid, "OMG, I forgot all of my Smash Brothers Moves, my power level just went back to zero and Bowser's knocking on my door! Help!" that the damsel bitch has! Seriously, the latter should rot in the castle dungeon and let Darwinism do her work. The other question: Why is she getting stuff like her own weapon in the remakes, and even a Nendoroid alongside Marth? As for gameplay, just use her Pegasus move as her Final Smash and have her land-based on the rest. Considering the precedent for dismounting, it can't be a big stretch.
  8. This isn't restricted to Fire Emblem, but if I want to play a Fire Emblem crossover game, I would rather get Heroes or Warriors than Smash Bros. For the latter game, there's too much focus on Ike, Marth, Lucina, Robin, Corrin, Roy, with a lack of diversity in both weapon and gender distribution (For starters, still no Caeda?! Seriously?! She's the most representative heroine of the entire franchise, and at any rate, she's more appropriate than that Nintendo's resident damsel idiot!!), and I don't find their characteristics all that good either, compared to their home games. (Ditto with some of the Zelda stuff from Smash Brothers, compared to Hyrule Warriors.)
  9. It's coming now... Chapter 25: The Fate of the Hoshido Empire - Introduction 1: Occupy Tokyo Chapter 25: The Fate of the Hoshido Empire - Introduction 2: Ryoma
  10. Would there be any reason against making Constitution as a more generic weapon wielding capacity? I would prefer a more flexible system where Wielding Capacity = Constitution + (either Attack/x for physical weapons, or Magic/x for tomes) + Skill/y + Weapon skill level difference + other temporary buffs from medicines etc. (x and y would be a constant divisor for the purpose of calculation) The purpose of using Attack is to reflect muscles. Characters with stronger muscles can carry heavier stuff more easily. The use of Magic for tomes reflects magic power to carry heavy tomes, as well as skill/focus required in casting said magic. For Skill and weapon level, this is to gauge whether a character can skillfully use a weapon that may be awkward to use - a weapon doesn't always have to be heavy to be unwieldly. Temporary buffs would include the FE-verse's version of steroids (such as the +2 buff medicine from Fates) and adrenaline (such as Robin's "I'm in top form today!" from Awakening). This would fix the balancing issues that Weapon Weight has, especially for those with traditionally low constitution, as you no longer have to contend to a single, near non-moving stat for keeping your attack speed that inherently favours certain classes/gender over others.
  11. I've seen somewhat lower prices for a couple of Japanese copies. There was one for around AU$40 before and there is another one for a similar price.
  12. Hahahahaha! I love how you are using some wacky futuristic stuff. Now we're using Molotov Cocktails and Lasers in FE! That is awesome! As for the politics, are you going to reference stuff we've had recently (the past decade) or are we talking about sometime in the future?
  13. I used to really enjoy Pokémon Puzzle League. I mean, it was a rarity in that Ash, Misty, and Brock were there (fun times!) instead of the game characters, the gameplay was addicting in itself, not to mention the 3D-scrolling playfield, which allowed for near-infinite skill chains unlike the earlier versions. And you get to fight Mewtwo at the very end of VS mode.
  14. Mainly Zelda at the moment. I'm playing Spirit Tracks and will move to Skyward Sword.
  15. @Purple Mage: I kind of wish there were more Japanese-made games that allows you to play as the Allies in WWII... I mean, why not, considering how a number of US-based games allow me to play as the Axis, like Hearts of Iron, or Red Alert etc. Speaking of which, are you into that sort of games?
  16. @Purple Mage: Come to think about it, I probably could have done my LP on Casual mode... Just out of curiosity, did you manage to get the irony of this entire LP?
  17. Thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed my modified story of Conquest. As for the jeepneys, I initially thought the surpluses were from the Inter-War era, but it looks like the original US Jeeps didn't even exist until the 1940s, well into the period of Japanese invasion. As for your idea for FE12's LP, what would your story be?
  18. Intermission 24/25 7: Siege at Nagoya - An order defied? Intermission 24/25 7: Surrender of Nagoya
  19. Intermission 24/25 5: Siege at Nagoya - Selena, Cynthia, and Peri's Revolt Intermission 24/25 6: Siege at Nagoya - An order upheld
  20. Can we maybe have either Tom Clancy or Harry Turtledove, and go for a more politically-focused story?
  21. Has Olympia(Eng)/Astera(Fr) as his avatar.
