  1. Let's see... I like how Corrin's "No Kill Policy" makes sense in the first few chapters of Revelations as he tries his best to make Hoshido and Nohr join his cause. Zola's plan in Conquest to kill the Hoshidan Royals in Chapter 18 with less bloodshed was smart. I get that Corrin and Azura know that they are innocent but come on, the sooner the better.

Is there any history stories that remind you of the plot of a Fire Emblem game? 4. Do you watch Game of Thrones? 5. Thoughts on the Youtube video "Nohr & the Roman World - Character Development Special"? It basically explains to connections with The Kingdom of Nohr to the Roman Empire and Celtic Culture. [spoiler=Video Link]
  3. Silas and Selena give Sophie the Pegasus Knight option. Sophie: Red Bull gives Avel wings! Soleil can reclass to Ninja too.
  4. 1. Would you like a Fire Emblem game where the story was heavily inspired by the Russian Revolution in the early 1900s? 2. Worst gameplay mechanic in the FE series? 3. Do you every get tired of being asked history based questions in your interview? 4. Thoughts on Inglorious Basterds? 5. Have you thought of any "what if" scenarios for certain historic events i.e "What if Archduke Franz Ferdinand survived his assassination" or "How would the Cuban Missile Crisis be dealt if Nixon was US President"?
  5. [spoiler=Metal Gear Solid] Solid Snake: Mercenary->Hero Big Boss:Great Lord EVA: Adventurer Naomi Hunter: Cleric-> Bishop Grey Fox: Dread Fighter Meryl: Soldier -> Halberdier Otacon:-> Villager-> Mechanist Raiden: Myrmidon-> Swordmaster Mei Ling: Falcoknight Colonel Campbell: General Kazuhira Miller: Tactician->Grandmaster Liquid Snake: Hero Revolver Ocelot: Bow Knight Sniper Wolf: Sniper *DUH* Psycho Mantis: Sorcerer Vulcan Raven: Warrior Vamp: Assassin Solidus Snake: Wyvern Lord Fatman: Oni Chieftain Fortune: Dark Flier The Boss: Paladin Volgin: Berserker
  6. Benny: I really like Benny and I prefer him more than Effie. While his relationship with Ignatius isn't the best Parent-Child supports, it's the most down to Earth. Personally, if I met my son for the first time as an adult since when I last saw him as an infant, of course I will have very little to say. He does well when it comes to fighting ninjas without sting shurikens and was an MVP in that very challenging Ninja cave chapter. Arthur: Someone give this guy his own spin off game. Yeah, he's pretty low tier when it comes battling, but my god I love his character, everything he says is hilarious, especially the heroic laugh when he dual guards. I actually prefer him as a berserker because he looks like a warrior inspired by greek mythology like Hercules. If I judged FE units by character alone he would be in the to 15 at least. Iago: I always get a Dick Dastardly vibe from him, he's just too cartoony, literally the end of the first chapter of Conquest, In the words of Frozone "He starts monologing." Like I mentioned with Hans, he would have been interesting if he had a connection with the royal siblings like being Leo's mentor. Also, I take back what I said about Zola, he's actually one of the better villains of the series, especially with his plan in Conquest.
  7. I think if Intelligent Systems acknowledges the praise that Conquest received over Birthright and Revelations in terms of challenge and welcoming to veterans and Awakening players, then they will know that it won't hurt to go back to the series original style. Also while Crash is a nice person and made good points in this video, keep in mind that this is the same guy who said dancers are one of the worst classes, Azura is the best character in Fates and Revelations had the best level design out of the 3 pathways without very good explanations.
  8. Peri: Her character is horrible, but SOMEHOW she managed to be a member of my Conquest Endgame team by capping strength and speed, so I guess she is a guilty pleasure of mine? I'm fine with character who are suppose to be the good guys yet have a violent side to them, but if you want your audience to like them you have to give them some moral ground. For example, localized Henry had a thing for blood shed but he never had interest in killing innocents and his own allies. Peri would have been better if she was a capturable boss in some random paralogue or had better morales. She is a fun unit if you are patient with her, she has my favorite personal skill in the game (I'm a fan of moxie in pokemon) and if you can get passed her horrible character she could be a better unit than Silas. Midori: Tied with Sophie as the cutest child unit. I usually have trouble finding a good mother for her that isn't Azura. She's OK but there are child units that are way better. Her paralogue is one of the better ones in Fates.
  9. 1. For someone who is a history nut, do you think Hitler was a great leader for saving Germany from economic collapse? 2. Most underrated historical figure? 3. What song would you like to be played at your funeral? 4. If History was never a subject taught at school, which subject would have been your favourite? 5. Favourite FE Archetype?
  10. Charlotte: Her gimmick really scratches my head sometimes, if she wants to act frail and helpless towards men to take advantage of them, why doe she decide go around wielding an axe and have a job where you fight to defend a territory and she is dressed for the part in terms of seduction? If the game was willing to move up the rating, I would of changed her backstory where she had to secretly work at a Brothel that was owned by a cruel group of men in order to raise money for her parents. She had to act flirty in order to get the attention of men not so she could get paid well but also to avoid being mistreated by her employer, she was friends with a colleague that taught her how to fight, one night her employers restricted her and the other women from leaving the Brothel which it was heavily guarded resulting in them being treated like prisoners, so Charlotte, her friend and the other women fought their way to freedom, resulting in her escape and the death of her friend along with many other women. Her flirty behavior could of have been a habit that has stuck with her when she become a guard and there will be support conversions where she manages to cope with her terrible past and habits. Aside from that, despite having a weird character gimmick I can understand why she would be a fun character to use, her personal skill is very satisfying when used correctly, especially in PVP where females are very common in that mode. Odin: One of my favourite child units in Awakening and still a fun character in Fates. However I find him to be my least favourite of the Awakening trio, he works so much better when reclassed as a samurai and the relationship with his daughter is very cool. Zola: Very bland, reminds me of those cheesy villains who appeared in the 1960's Batman show starring Adam West. His defeat quote is one of the better ones, I'll give him that.
  11. Hinata: I would love to be friends with this guy IRL, but it's a shame that he is very lack luster compared to Ryoma and to some extent Hana. He's a nice guy but that's all I like about him. Silas: One of the best characters in terms of combat and English voice acting. Character wise he's OK but I find his friendship with Corrin creepy, from what I've seen he never really explains his reasons for wanting to be friends with Corrin and if you haven't seen him/her in years you would expect him to be over Corrin. His bases are insane in Revelations. I also wished he had to face hardships when fighting against Nohr just like when Felicia did. Hans: Very one dimensional, kind of wished that he was actually from Valla. It would have been interesting if Iago was Leo's mentor and Hans would be Xander or Camilla's mentor. It will give the Nohr sibliings a stronger connection with these villains too instead of being a living obstacle for the Mary Sue that is Corrin. Orochi: I don't like her, her trollish nature is just unfitting for someone who is supposed to predict peoples fortunes, her growths are very bad, 30% speed on a magic user is bad especially where one of the maps you recruit her in is fulled with ninjas who one round her. Also, she was terrible in my revelations playthrough, only gaining 2 speed point until promoted right now she is a level 5 Barasa with 10 SPEED. Despite my hate my dislike in her, I think her OTP is with my favourite healer in Fates, Azama. Speaking of Azama... Mitama: Hands down, the funniest child unit in Fates. Her dialogue is brilliant, the relationship with her father is fantastic, with the right physical unit *cough* Effie *cough* she will be a monster as a Priestess. Her supports with the male avatar are one of the better child unit x MU ones as the theme of isolation is well crafted. Her character is just so fun, only major thing I don't like is that her paralogue can be tedious for Birthright standards.
  12. Jakob: I like him, he may be a dick in some supports but I think that's a common trope for fictional butlers like Alfred Pennyworth. I'd say he is better than the maid sisters in terms of combat, but healing is a different story. I like his supports with Nyx and his personal skill helped me clear chapter ten Conquest with 0 casualties. If he was a jaegan, he would be a jaegan done right. Effie: So fun to use in battle and laughs at the end game when she gets Wary Fighter. I didn't mind her localisation changes, I think her voice is weak but she still wins the funniest female confession scene in Fates. She reminds me of Pam Poovey from the TV show Archer, both in personality and fighting skills.
  13. The Mercenary/Hero line. If someone is promoted to Hero, they can literally become one man armies depending on the game. The combat animations are flashy, the skills they learn are must haves, their stats are well balanced and I've let to see a "horrible" mercenary unit. The closest I've seen was Gregor but that's only because he was out shined by Inigo and Severa.
  14. Lord - Hector (FE7) Dancer - Olivia (FE13) Cavalier - Kent (FE7) Knight - Ignatius (FE14) Archer - Niles (does he count as an archer? If not, Noire) Mage - Pent (FE7) Dark Mage/Shaman - Ophelia (FE14) Cleric - Azama (FE14) Myrmidon - Joshua (FE8) Mercenary - Raven (FE7) Fighter - Vaike (FE13) Pirate/Brigand - Dart (FE7) Pegasus Knight - Shiida (FE1/3/11 and 12) Wyvern Rider - Cormag (FE8) Troubadour - (L'Arachel)(FE8) I have only played the games mentioned in this list, so sorry if I missed out on the amazing archer in the Tellius series. Thief - (Gaius) (FE13)
  15. OK my last set of questions to you: 1. You seem like the kind of guy who is very good at pin pointing plot holes in media. For some reason, when I listen to a story/watch a movie for the first time, I have a bad habit of missing out errors in the movie, alot, until someone mentions them to me. My brain literally turns off, it doesn't happen if it's an obviously bad movie or one I've seen before. But anyway, my question is what a good way to accurately pin point errors in a story? (Sorry for the long question, I'll make up for it by only asking you 2 shorter ones) 2. Do you have a favorite proverb or motto that you've follow? 3. Would rather have a FE unit with an amazing character/personality but with horrible stats/growths or vice versa?
  16. Kagero: Decent unit. I always find thief like units having alot of strength very unfitting though, it's like giving a character whose class is a knight lots of speed. Her character is pretty weak. Her supports with Silas are kind of fun as they try to get use to their cultural tastes but I only married them two because I really love Sophie as a brunette. I feel bad that she gets captured by Kogaro in both routes, at least she isn't portrayed like an old fashioned damsel like when Marribelle was captured. Kana: One of my least favorite of the children, especially the male counterpart. Did I mention that Corrin is a terrible parent for letting a clearly under aged child go and fight in a war? Battle wise, he/she is fun to use especially when the spouse is a magic user which makes Kana an even better dragon than Corrin. BTW, the "That's dragon for I Love You" scene is a guilty pleasure of mine.
  17. Everything Laslow, Arthur and Niles says. Serious I could just listen to this all day:
  18. 1. What are your opinions on Hector as a protagonist? 2. If by some miracle Fates got the 2016 Game of the Year award, how would you respond? 3. Favourite school subject? 4. Favourite Pokemon type? 5. Do you watch Breaking Bad, if so, what's your favourite episode/moment.
  19. Niles: My favourite bow user in Fates. Yes, even more than Takumi. His battle quotes are so fun to listen to, he's a magic users worse nightmare and he is an interesting character in most of his supports, especially with Camilla and Beruka. I kind of wished they toned down his gay overtones and gave him better skill growths. Also, is it just me or was Niles based on Alex Delarge from A Clockwork Orange? Felicia: She's ok, I still prefer Jakob. Felicia clumsiness questions me on the requirements to be the servant of a royal prince.
  20. 1. If you were to die, what would you have as your funeral song? (Sorry if that sounded dark) 2. Favorite archetype in Fire Emblem? 3. Worst gameplay mechanic in the series? 4. Favorite critical hit animation/quote? 5. Coke or Pepsi?
  21. When I was younger I believed that it was bad luck to open a packet of potato chips from the bottom. I also believed that if you press your belly button to much, your rear end will fall off. Once I believed that people that lived in the past lived in a world were it was black and white because of the black and white photographs they were in.
  22. I like Fuga. He's one of the few characters who has an interesting history with Sumeragi and I kind of wished he had supports with the Hoshidan royals such as comparing Ryoma and Takumi's battle ethics to their father. It's a shame that the Master of Arms class is one of my hated classes in fates due to me having bad luck with using them.
  23. In Conquest, the Paralogues are worth playing for the extra experience cash and weapons, my best children in my Conquest file were: Velouria!Azura Ignatius!Camilla Soleil! My Unit Nina!Beruka Forrest!Peri Percy!Mozu OK, most of these children's parents are royals, but I still think they are worth getting compared to Birthrights children because not only are they somewhat better units most of the CQ children have better characters than the Hoshidan children.
  24. One of the best children in Fates and arguably the best child in Conquest. I'm surprised that Camilla x Keaton is a common pairing, can't blame them as she can be a monster with that set up. Normally, I cringe at daddy's girls but it works with Velouria because Wolves do form strong bonds with their kin and her conversations with her father looks like I'm listening to the typical life of a wolf pack translated for humans. Her design is cool with the Red Riding Hood attire .
