Voting Gauntlet: Winter Festival vs. New Year’s!
Astellius replied to Vaximillian's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
Sure, but that has nothing to do with either what I said, or what the person in question said. -
Voting Gauntlet: Winter Festival vs. New Year’s!

Erm, I think you might not understand how this works. You do not "hold onto" a multiplier, and you can't wait to "unleash [it] at a later time." The multiplier is only available when a specific condition is met, and it is only available on that hour. The multiplier is only available on hours where your team's points are a certain percentage point less than your opponent's. -

Do you mean use your flags now, or hold onto them? Azura's not going to get another multiplier, so I suppose the question is whether you're satisfied with your rank right now. If yes, probably save your flags for the next round. If not, spend flags. Which is better for Team Azura's likelihood of winning? Probably holding the flags and spending them on the last hour (which won't be a multiplier for Azura). -

How are you guys figuring this, that Azura will get a multiplier after Ryoma's? It's more likely that Ryoma will have yet another multiplier hour after his first multiplier hour. Edit: The final hour may not have a multiplier at all, but, if it does, it's more likely going to be in Ryoma's court. -

Yes, indeed, that is me! We must've been pretty close in the rankings, eh? I've since dropped considerably, to ~4,600, but that's still pretty good. I've got 420 flags for the next multipliers we get--let's win this! -

Well done! Although you guys are likely to get a lot of multipliers tomorrow as well, so make sure to save some flags for then...! -

Wow, currently standing at 797 in Azura's army, and 317 overall! Nice to be under 1k for both, if only for the moment. -
Grand Hero Battles 2018: Who Do You Want?
Astellius replied to The Lord Of Gems's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
Each time this topic crops up, I always say I'd really like to see the morphs from FE7, especially Limstella. So, I'll keep saying it until they're in the game! I'd like to see Linus to finish out the Black Fang. Lyon would be good too. And how about Wolf? A GHB seems like a good way to bring him into the game. -
I got a new high score in the Arena today.... First time hitting 5k! It was accomplished with the team shown. I pulled another Roy, so I finally was able to toss TA on Sophia. I decided I'd finally fully deck her out. She only needs 2 more merges, and a Raourraven+ tome, and she's all set! Right now, as for ranking, it's 2,944/4,675 to stay--will it be enough? We'll see! The VG will probably inflate the scores, since people have a reason to do 10 rounds every couple of days.

Well, Chrom, you did well, but were no match for Tharja in the end. I've now joined Azura, who so graciously decided to join my ranks last night. Sadly, I neglected to check whose units I was getting, in order to give shout outs. I think I was getting @Lyrai's Nowi, and an Effie wielding Berkut's Lance + DC. Res was the only thing Niles was good at. RIP Niles. Also, I got your Elise a couple times, she really tears up the place! -
For the Brave builds, I'd add that Hit & Run/Drag Back are pretty standard options for the B-passive. They're great for positioning, and make it much easier to snipe off the enemies while remaining out of danger. Those are my go-to skills for Brave builds, I definitely prefer them to -breaker skills. I also think one could mention that the standard Brave section is also pretty standard for Firesweep weapons too, since the weapons are used pretty similarly. For the DC/QR builds, gem weapons are a pretty common sight.

Bound Hero Battle: Whereabouts Unknown (Raven and Lucius)
Astellius replied to SatsumaFSoysoy's topic in Heroes War Room
I completed Infernal with a team of Tiki, PA Azura, Est, and Palla. I gave Est a Spd+3 seal, which allowed her to quad Lucius with the aid of Palla's Goad Fliers. To begin the battle, I had Azura buff Tiki, and then Tiki broke the wall on left corridor. She tanks the lance cav, and the archer commits suicide on her. Lucius led the enemies in the charge down the center. For the second turn, I moved Palla to where she could goad Est, and then Est quadded and killed Lucius. Tiki retreats down the corridor, and then Azura danced for Est, who, in turn, repositioned Azura into the left corridor, above Tiki. Raven killed himself upon Palla's blade, the troubadour healed the lance cav, and the lance cav decided it was a good day to die via Azura. At this point, mopping up the remains was an easy task. -
I think a survival mode might be fun, where there's infinite reinforcements and you see how long you can withstand the onslaught. The rogue-like idea sounds pretty cool too. I'd also like a mode where you could assemble a team using some of your friends' allies. Like, you pick 5 or so of your own allies to showcase, and they could choose, from that pool, which units to use alongside their own, or with more from other friends. The most fun part of the Voting Gauntlets is getting to use the characters your friends have built up. I think a map-maker mode would be fun too.

Show me Your Beautiful, Beautiful Garbage!
Astellius replied to CWGameplay's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
Looking good! Who knew Cherche and Clair could have so much in common! And, as for the assist, Draw Back is a great assist on any flier, even one that is expected to be on the front lines. While the skill might be named "Draw Back," you can also draw forward, which can allow you to advance up to 3 spaces, with the strong unit being in the front, all the while only consuming the action of one unit. It's also, of course, a functional retreat skill that can help remove allies from the enemy range. I do recommend it. -

Haha, thanks! I like your swift Cherche. It seems we took up something of parallel endeavors! You took a strong character who is generally considered terminally slow and made her quick, while I took a fast character who is weak and made her strong. -

It appears that plenty of people have posted pics of their Caedas, but no one has put up Clair, the blue Caeda, yet. Well! I recently finished her, and here she is! They said her Atk stat was pretty irredeemable. Well, now look at it! She's become quite a functional member of my roster, and sees regular use in Arena Assault. I went with the Atk upgrade to her weapon, since she's already quite fast and has access to flyer buffs. Even without the Atk seal, her Atk remains over 50. -
Yeah, Roy's just not that good. Mine sometimes sees some sunlight in Arena Assault, since he can function as a good check against slow greens, but that's about it. I'd keep the +Atk one and use the other for TA fodder. I'm hoping that they'll eventually let us forge his weapon into something better. My understanding of the support system is that it is based off of the number of maps completed where the unit was fielded and battled a Lvl. 35+ enemy, which means it has nothing to do with a kill count. So, yes, doing Chain Challenges would be the quickest way to grind supports, since you need to complete a bunch of maps. It takes 80 maps to fully grind the Summoner Support, according to Gamepress.

Bound Hero Battle: Distant Blade (Tana & Amelia)
Astellius replied to SatsumaFSoysoy's topic in Heroes War Room
I cleared Infernal on the first try, going in blind, with A!Tiki, Reinhardt, PA!Azura, and Cherche. I parked Tiki on a defense tile, whereupon she commenced the eating of all the land-based mammals on the bottom/left part of the screen. Reinhardt, Azura, and Cherche dealt with the flying creatures. Reinhardt was actually pretty sub-optimal there, a hard-hitting flyer like Est would've been better, but it didn't really matter. -
The salt mines really appear to be open for business, eh? Well, GG all!

Well, it looks like Faye lost this round. I think that I'll join Team Tharja for the finals....! I'll likely put Rhajat as my lead, since, well, she should support her original self... Or maybe I should put someone unexpected up? I'm glad that you got her, and that you liked her performance! Tiki is really good at eating the arrows, since an archer needs 58 Atk in order to do at least 1 damage to her. Also, your Caeda was my most frequent ally, and she was quite awesome. She's great with either a Wo Dao or a Brave Sword!

I got a new high score of 4,980 yesterday! But, wow, there's a lot of competition to stay in T20 this week, it's been heavily inflated even from last week. I just got pushed over the edge and will be dropping back to T19. My rank is 5,168, with 5,094 required to stay in. It was nice being able to stay in T20 for the last couple of weeks. Ah well! Right now, it's just barely more than 4,980. It's probably 4,982 currently, with two days still to go.

They definitely need to add Micaiah sometime soon. I'd also like to see the morphs from FE7 added, along with some laguz characters. Milady is also high on the list.

Hope Tiki is working well for friends on Team Faye. Let me know if you need different colors for quests!
