  1. RD wins big time in my book. -Better graphics -Turned off animations are actually turned off. -Cooler tome animations (Cymbeline, anyone?) -Better control over the laguz -Better Skill system -The fight vs. the BK isn't completely rigged!!! @ FE9 -Third Tier outfits! -The fact that the SS rank weapons are actually attainable, as are enough Arms Scrolls to make it possible for everyone to use the SS rank weapons Ha ha... My little brother looked at Ike's FE:RD portrait and went "he looks different." Even he could tell. How old is Ike, anyway? Older than Mist (17 in RD?) FE9 only has better supports and less annoying villains as its high points. (Valtome and Oliver have got to be the two most annoying people ever) Hey, I did that pairing, too!
  2. Shadow Dragon was my first FE. My first PT went pretty well since I hate in whenever someone dies. I ditched Jeigan after seeing that he got no exp., and Gordin decoyed in the beginning. And I arena abused like crazy. 20/20 units at Ch. 11 doesn't make for a very challenging game (I had access to the Online Shop, so I bought 15 Master Seals). Still, I thought that it was a fantastic game until I played Radiant Dawn. After SD, I went out and picked up FE 7-10. Next up, FE3DS and hopefully FE1-6 someday. (Dumb Nintendo for not localizing them and making us use emulators or learn Japanese.)
  3. I've never showed FE to anyone I know. My sisters just call it "the game." My five year old little brother refers to FE:RD as your game, as he refers to the Metroid series as The Robot game. He says that Rexflame "makes fire" in RD. :) My mom thinks that I'm addicted thinks that FE is stupid. Suffice to say, I'm never really going to convert anyone, because I wouldn't be able to explain it right. I got a couple friends hooked to the Advance Wars series, which I started out with in 2003. (That gives AW a six year advantage over FE for me) On a side note, FE:RD is the third most played Wii game on the Wii at my house (I buy all of the Wii games, admittedly) behind Mario Kart Wii and Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Do you know just how boring it is to play through a game based on a movie...Five times in a row? For over 100 hours? (I forget the exact Nintendo Channel figure...) The horror...
  4. Male Age 16 5'6" 116 lbs I have 3 Con. That's kind of bad. I have about as much Con as Lute, I think. I can rescue... Nobody? Nils, maybe? That's pathetic.
  5. Might be a little late now, but I've never had Jill betray me, either. I've never played on EM, so all of my saves are on NM or higher. First time around, she had no supports and wouldn't betray me. Second time, she had a B support with Mist and didn't betray me. I don't know how it works.
  6. Well, I tried only in Easy Mode, I don't know if it's the same for Normal, but I suppose it should. Yeah, it still works the same way in NM. Sephiran walks in, informs Ashera that he's switching sides, and just stands at the left side of the map. He can have convos with Micaiah and Sanaki. (That's it, right?)
  7. I'm not sure, to tell you the truth. I generally only post on the FE:RD and PoR boards, which have the most activity. Ah... No. I'd never even heard of the TV show. I just went and looked it up, and it actually looks like a show that I might watch. (I don't watch TV much, if at all, but I like Bones, and my sister likes all of the crime/detective shows like Criminal Minds and CSI:Miami/CSI:NY, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, etc.) Anyway, my name over on the GFAQS board is Parrotboy_1230 (stems from a childhood interest in birds, :)). When I set up a Hotmail address, then I picked flashpoint off of one of the tag teams in Advance Wars: Dual Strike. It was my favorite game at the time. Plus, it sounded cool. :) Ever since, any of my screen names usually involves flashpoint (that's basically only GFAQs and SF now) . And the 1230 part comes from my birthday (Dec. 30). So there you have it.
  8. Abel, Cain, Merric, Barst, Catria, and Palla are mainstays on my team. Linde and Est always turn out well, too, but training them is difficult on H5. And Frey is always on my team on Normal.
  9. Ah. I see. Thank you. Alright, I'll retype it up so that it's readable. Now it's readable, but that probably wasn't necessary. Oh well.
  10. Sorry to sound like a complete noob, but I have no clue how to do that. I'm limited to strikeout text, bold, and italics. (I came from the GFAQS boards, which only offer italics and bold) What kind of code tag would you use? I looked at the BB Code help menu and didn't find a table one.
  11. Wins: First and only time that I decided to train Gordin (on H2), he has 20 Strength, 22 Speed, 22 Skill, 15 Luck, 16 Defense, and 44 HP at 20/13. That's with natural level-ups. (I don't clock abuse/RNG abuse) He can take a few hits, doubles pretty much everything, and often criticals. I still haven't finished that PT, so he could get even better. On that same PT, I reclassed Caesar to a Dark Mage just for fun. He had 42 HP, 15 Magic, 17 Skill, and 25 Speed. Merric and Linde have fantastic stats (Magic, Luck, Res, Speed, Skill in the 20s, and HP in the 40s-50s). Lena didn't do too bad, either. Fails: I thought that Marth was getting RNG-screwed. Turns out that he has average, if not better stats for his level, and that every other time that I've raised him, he's had godly stats. :( Ogma getting speed and strength screwed.
  12. ^ Do GameFAQers have bad reps on the SF boards? :) Trust me, I don't blame you guys if they do. Right now, one of the debate topics on the GFAQs FE:RD board is whether Ike=Bella from Twilight. You have got to be kidding me...
  13. What are all of those "claimed" people on your sig, NinjaMonkey? Oh, and I like the AA series, too. I have all of the games except AAI:ME.
  14. Hey, everybody... This kind of intro may not be necessary seeing as how I'm not sure just how active I'll be on these boards, but it doesn't matter, does it? I'm actually a fairly recent FE convert. I started playing the Advance Wars series in 2003, but didn't pick FE up until last year. (And even then, it was only because I knew that it was developed by IS) My first FE game was Shadow Dragon, and since I picked the series up last year, I've went out and bought (and beaten) FE7-10, also. Since last year, I've relied on Serenes Forest heavily for all of my FE news and tips. I've been fairly active over in the GameFAQS FE community (under a different username), and I thought that now would be a good time to join in the SF boards. So... Hello, everybody, and I hope that I'll be able to contribute to your satisfaction! :) One last thing... I hope that Edward vs. Mia debates aren't as prevalent here on the SF boards as they are on the GFAQs boards. :)
  15. I knew that Gordin wasn't a great character, but I really wanted to use a sniper, so I trained him once. Apparently, he got very blessed... Gordin Sniper Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res 20/13 44 20 01 22 22 15 16 03 I was like O_o... I was amazed. And this is without any statboosters or RNG abuse. It's just natural level-ups. He regularly criticals, and almost always manages to 1RKO. (This is H2 difficulty, btw. I ditched Gordin in H5) He's way better than Castor, who I gave up on after getting a couple no stat level ups. I've used Cord as a Horseman, and he always turns out great. The rest of my characters are doing pretty well, too, except for the failures Marth and Ogma... I'm on Ch. 15. I played through that then set it down for a while. I need to finish it I guess. (Oddly, the only modes that I've been able to successfully complete are Normal, H3, and H5.) I'm not a huge fan of reclassing, but I reclassed Caesar and Cain. It works out well. Okay... The tables aren't working out so well... Sorry if it's hard to read.
