Yeah, this is NM. Using staves is a good idea. I'm one of those people who NEVER use any other stave except Heal. I get a special staff, I toss it in the convoy. It never gets touched. I guess I never think to use them. I probably should.

They definitely had a wide enough vocabulary to replace those words, trust me. (We're in AP Language and Comp. together. And we go to a classical high school that makes us take Latin and Greek for goodness sakes. Plus, some of us take French, too) They weren't really mad or anything. They were just inserting swear words where they could've said something "normal." And I don't think that extra complicated language is needed, either. Nobody needs to say "malicious fiend." (in fact, I'm all for succinctness) Yes, girls can be petty and annoying, but I don't hang out with girls like that. And if girls are annoying, it never seems like they're doing it consciously. It's not a chronic condition. When guys swear, it appears to be that they're trying far too hard to even find a place where a swear word could be used. Oh, and while some people cannot control themselves when they're angry, most people can. I grew up in an abusive household, and there's no better place to learn how to be understanding than that. But like I said, I don't take offense to people who don't know any better. I only take offense to the people who definitely know better. I mean, when those people are in the classroom, they project different images of themselves. It's kind of saddening.

I've played through PoR twice now for transfers, and I'm a little more than half-way through my third PT. I don't exactly have a ton of time to play FE, as much as I love it, so this PT, I'm aiming for a lot of 20/20 units for a good RD transfer. My first PT, I only got Ike and Astrid to 20/20, which was bad. On my second PT, I got 8 people to 20/20, which is a little better, I guess. I'm listing my characters' levels at the end of Ch. 16. I'm only listing the people who I think are viable transfer candidates at this point. Astrid - 20/3 Oscar - 20/1 Boyd - 20/1 Ike - 20/ Soren - 19/ Mia - 18/ Zihark - 17/ Ilyana - 16/ Rolf - 15/ Jill - 15/ Nephenee - 14/ On my first PT, I didn't get anyone to second tier until Ch. 18, I think. On my second PT, I got two people to second tier by Ch. 18. This time around, I think that I'm on track to have five or six people to second tier by Ch. 18, so I hope that I'm doing okay. I set the cut-off limit at 11 people, as I read another topic about maxed out units where people said that 13-20 was the normal limit. (I'm aiming a little low) I do have some back-up people that I could BEXP and put into action if I ended up having enough of an exp. pool to go around. Oh, and I save all of my statboosters for Endgame, so I'll dole them out there if needed. Right now, my team is doing great in terms of stats, so no worries. How do you all think that I'll do? Advice would be appreciated... EDIT: I have Mist at 6/ and Rhys at 7/. Mist could possibly reach promotion by Ch. 27 if I keep stave abusing. I've been trying to give her at least one level per chapter that she's been in. I'm a little behind, but some BEXP will help. Oh, and this is on NM, BTW.

Yes... That's when swearing is acceptable. It's meant to express an extreme emotion, but otherwise, it should serve no other purpose in a person's vocabulary. And swear words certainly should not be used as substitutes for normal language. First of all... Keep dreaming then. As far as I've seen, relationships at age 15 are either creepy (as in boy+girl practically stalk each other) or they last about two weeks. I could get a girlfriend if I wanted. I've been asked out before, and my mom+sister have a list of potential girlfriends for me. It wouldn't be that hard considering the amount of girl-friends that I have. I'm just not going to do it. I do not like it when people say OMG, but there's nothing I can do about that. I don't really care too much if someone says d*mn or h*ll, but I do not like any form of four letter swear words, especially when they're tacked on other words, like bull**** or god-d*mn. I also don't like the word "crap." Today, I was sitting at lunch and some guys that I don't usually sit with came over and started a convo that sounded like this: Person #1: It was so fu*king cool except now he's spreading sh*t about me to everyone and I just want to f****** bash his mother******* head in because he's a little ****er. Person #2: Yeah, sometimes he's a total mother******* b*tch. He f****** acts like an a*s. Still, it was f****** amazing and I want to do it again even if the little mother******* bi*ch complains like w*ore. Uhhh.... No. I left that table really fast. Just how hard is it to replace those swear words with normal language? I do it in my head so that most of the time, like an automatic filter, but that situation left me annoyed. Just...ugh. Anyway... I'm sure that you didn't want to know all that... :)

^ I'm not mad, don't worry. :) I was just making an observation about society in general. I don't get in fights with girls, though. I never have. People tell me that I go into a situation with the ability to see things from all sides, which helps, except for the fact that I can't seem to apply that concept when talking to guys. It doesn't work. I just end up wanting to roll my eyes. I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt, though, which is why I'm not as offended by swearing that comes from someone who doesn't do it on purpose. I only get offended if it's someone who swears just to fit in, or for shock value. Oh, and my mom considers "this sucks" to be a swear word/expression. So I suppose that I have strict standards... Being in a large family isn't horrible, although I do help out a lot around the house. But I can't complain. I already have a car, which is more than a lot of 16 year olds could say, and since I'm the oldest, it's a newer car. No hand-me downs.

Actually, I'm friendly to pretty much everyone that I meet. The moment that someone starts swearing or talking about "stuff" is the minute that I block them out, though. I have a lot of friends, but they're all girls. I live about an hour from where I go to school, so I can't just hop on over and go to a friend's house, anyway. And I have a large family, which makes organizing anything horribly difficult. I do think it's pretty hilarious how if you don't date or if you aren't drooling over a girl at my age, the first assumption is "gay." Personally, I love being able to be friends with a girl without having to worry about dating or relationships, and they seem to like it, too. Being a nice guy with no underlying intentions attached is good. I see "relationships" in school, and they look to be completely not worth it.

Ahhh... No. I did not. Plus, I don't talk to guys. So what am I supposed to do? Ask a girl? I live with my mom. She's very conservative, but she would've told me if I'd asked. I just never did. She forced me to learn about the basics of reproduction this year (she said that most six year olds know more than I do about reproduction, which is probably true). I just refuse to think about it, so I sorta forgot about what it is. Yeah, I've heard of it. My sister looked my name up on it once. She started laughing. My sister is much more social than I am, and she did activities outside of out house. So she's pretty street-smart. I'm not.

Edit: Ack! Typed this before I saw your edited team! I haven't played on Wi-Fi in a while, so you may want to take my advice with a grain of salt, but... A forged Killing Edge or Wo Dao w/ a crit. boost would've been nice for one of the SMs. Honestly, unless you get a good look at your opponent's forces, you might be in for a little trouble regarding 2-range attacks. You have Mercurius and Parthia, as well as Merric, but it still seems a little iffy. Merric's Res seems a little low to me. Overall Wi-Fi capability: 7/10 You're gonna have to get lucky regarding first strikes in order to be successful, but it looks okay so far. Do you have Judgement or Umbra? Those would be good cards, especially Judgement. Umbra might hurt you, too, so IDK if you'd want to use it.

^Somehow, I expected that kind of response. I kind of did live under a rock. I was home-schooled from Pre-K until last year (my sophomore year of high school), and I was never social. What can you expect? Even now, I'm extremely naive when compared to anyone else my age.

I got my copy used at GameStop. As far as I know, the only retailers that have new copies of RD are K-Mart (There are no K-Marts near where I live, though) and the Nintendo World Store in NYC. I had to wait for a couple months for a copy of RD to come into a GameStop near me, but I'm used to waiting for games, so it was no big deal. Otherwise, like everyone else said, Ebay is your last resort. It's odd that there would be zero copies of a given game within 100 miles of where you live. I've heard of these websites where you can swap games with people. Like if you had a copy of Endless Ocean that you were done with, you could swap it with a person who had a game that you wanted. You just pay for postage and shipping to send the game off. Yahoo! did an article on it, but I can't remember what the websites were exactly. Seems like too much work, IMO, but it works apparently, cause' there's a lot of people who do it.

^I should try that, then, because I still have a Normal Mode clear file. I got my copy from Gamestop. It had the instruction manual and everything, and it was in great condition, but I wonder if it was a rental copy at one time. The case has an empty space at the edges where there would usually be one of those anti-theft locks in place. However, my copy of Metroid Prime does not have the empty space. I wonder if the case design changed a little bit.

@eclipse: Ohh... When I was smaller, I used to be allergic to practically everything. Wheat, Corn, Milk, etc. Plus, I had (and still do have) environmental allergies, as well as allergies to some animals. Thankfully, I'm pretty normal now after five years of allergy shots that ended years ago. (No more food allergies! Yay!) I did try to muck out a horse stall at my sister's horseback riding agency, and almost died, though... @ADC: Ugh... Cats beat scorpions in a fight, too. I saw a Youtube video where a cat killed and a ate a scorpion. Yuck...

^ Same here. I only gave my number to a couple people at school, and there's someone who recently asked for my permission to add my number to her phone contacts. I've known her for a few years and she never knew that I had a phone.

He's attached to Ike because Ike was the first person who showed him true kindness. 3) It's part of his personality. I would say that it's kinda like Micaiah and Sothe, but it's not, since Ike doesn't need protecting. It all goes back to reason #2.

Well, what is there to say? And there's a difference between hating to socialize IRL and communicating on an online forum. Socializing involves...Well...Seeing people. And hearing them talk, usually about stupid things, especially if they happen to be high school aged people of the male variety.

AP Calculus officially scares me. And I'm pretty sure that most of the AP Latin exam is about The Aeneid. Oh well. Best of luck to all of us!

Oh dear.... I saw this topic when Fenrir first created it, and knew that it was going to get more than a couple replies. I don't have anything to add, though. Whenever someone asks for my number, I just tell them that I don't date, and that's the end of it. Or I just give them my sister's cell phone #. That can be funny sometimes.

@Fenrir: I dislike talking to people in person unless I know them well. Good luck trying to talk to me at school if I don't know you. I will be courteous and sweet, but don't expect me to say much.
