  3. Enemies have silver weapons until chapter 19, From 20 (camus chapter) and on enemies have non-forged braves (easy to tank for high def paladins), Merciless only has forged braves on the final chapter. FE11 I voted for New mystery because Lunatic reverse.

  7. For map#3 warp navarre to kill thief boss (stand on chest) then figure it out from there. The more navare lv ups the easier this map gets. For map#4 there is a1 tile chokepoint at the end of the passage. Whoever blocks there will face the only 2 cavaliers of the entire enemy army. You might have to figure how to kill bandits and in the same turn if not 1 turn later choke the point. Map 4 got really nerfed, apparentlyin the original you even facereinforcements from right side of map.
  8. Being two of the worst selling FE really works agaisnt them. By this time Int Sys and Nintendo should be discussing how to push FE as a flagship firstparty game (I wish lol) and the best way to do that is keep giving FE:A fans the things they loved in the game by creating new games on handheld systems that sell. It could work, but as remake with a mix of FE:A mechanics+avatar and who knows whats on Nintendo and Int Sys head. Even when you think "It's been 10 years since we last saw Ike" Marth had to wait 18 for his original game to get its proper remake (FE3 book 1 does not count because they cut content to fit 2 games in 1) or 10 games before his first game could be remade... or 14 years since his last game for his first remake. Is still too soon for Ike.

  12. 30% growth is the same as Ike but the base is a measly 7 base. Enemies start to pursuit her so consistenly that no durability in the world with get you safe from the ORKO... which in turn means a restart everytime the RNG screws you in your turn or you misplaced her. Note this is hard mode and most of the time cannot be fixed, altho is possible to get around it with bexp or resolve. You may feel her a bit dodgier if youopponent has worst byorithym and micaiah is at best byorithym. On topic: Is nice to see time has been nice to micaiah, I personally don't see her as one... and with FE13 avatar is gonna be a long time before someone can trump that one.
  13. We have SF for that. Growth rates are not the only thing that defines a unit. I think revealing growths while we still have RNG decide lv ups is pointless... not sure what Int sys may be thinking but last 2 games have the growth rates encrypted, ergo they do not want us to know the growth rates.
  14. I hope they don't listen to any of us and let us keep convoy tied to main unit like FE11, 12, 13. Is not like there have been signs of change. Or do whatever they want and surprise us.

  16. Best preference bow is longbow only archers/snipers restrictions (FE11, 12, 13). They are OP in those games.

  18. Just did it yesterday on my avatarxchrom solo lunatic playthrough... There are no counter units in the map. Clear the initial enemy units and proceed to choke the point witht he fort in the middle of the map. Grangrel should move last so he won't rush to you unless no other melee units are alive. This requires galeforce at least to slowly clear draco knights and unequip on enemy phase... once there are no more draco knights recruit gangrel and let him get to the other side of the map while avatar clears th lolngbow archers in the end. Chrom can switch to unarmed avatar after speaking with gangrel each time. You should have no problem tanking with nosferatu and toncs, you know normal stuff.
  19. @Kysafen: It gets tricky to defend thracia over any FE game balance, all you get in the end is masacring both FE and no one wins in the end. All of them have balance flaws. @TFJ: Thats one way to play Awakening (grinding to win the game), I invite you to play it again and figure other ways to enjoy it. While the difficulty seems heavily unbalanced is mostly because, as other posters said before, the sheer amount of alternatives to play the game and game mechanics themselves which makes harder to balance the game. A game with less gameplay mehanics (FE11-12) Is definately easier to balance. I am confident that Int Sys will do it. FE11 and 12 shows that a number game isn't exactly a bad thing when done right. People calling those two being "fake difficulty" is a thing in the past. also:

  21. IMO weapon weight was intended as a balance mechanic for weapons as incentive to use light weapons as opossed to heavy but powerful a trade off that made sense. However while it worked to give each weapon within each weapon category more differences besides MT, HIT, CRIT and special properties, the concept itself is flawed. As it has been argued ad nauseum in these forums, It creates imbalance between units since not all of them are born with equal con/build (I am gonna disregard build level ups and con increasing items for sake of argument). Unit con traditionally was given at units by 2 factors: gender and class... you might see were I am heading to male units are inherently better by their capacity of wielding heavier weapons and cavalry units are better because their combination of solid bases+con+move+rescue made them just too good to overlook killer stats in foot units... For foot units weapons choice also had a thing here magic users had really low con they always have to offset by level ups, sword users always get low con. Lance and Axe users get an ok amount, they can work around more weapons than sword users. Yeah I agree teh concept was great for its time FE1-FE4 for weapon weight substracting directly to your AS, FE5-8 for build/con that could be improved in FE5 case and the others where it was a set stat, FE9-11 when it was based on str stat. But now we have seen what can they do without weapon weight and I think is a good thing to adapt. Also we have to force you to play new FE games for you to properly argue about them, watching arguments without you is not fun. To stay on topic I voted, game mechanics are the most important part of game and then I voted FE13 but I would include FE12 in there... the fast paced gameplay in both of those games are the combination of many little elements in gameplay mechanics that make them feel like an enjoyable experience. Of course the only thing FE13 lacks and that FE14 will likely lack too is being able to use touch screen to comand units like DS FE games.

  23. That's probably because prologue/early chapters normal mode with tutorials enabled. This way you might need to get to certain chapter for your avatar to "Figure" the use of the mechanic. I like that is coming back btw.
