  1. I got my cards in today! Sadly, didn't get any Fates SR+. I only got one and I don't know who it is. XD Never played Holy War. I guess it's Seliph SR+? Is that worth anything for a trade at all?

Seliph doesn't have a SR+, so you probably got Sigurd instead. You can check the wiki if you want to be sure.

  2. Dartrix:

Dartrix is extremely sensitive to other presences in the area and can detect opponents behind it and throw feathers to strike them without even seeing them. This Pokémon conceals sharp-bladed feathers inside its wings, showing astounding precision as it sends them flying in attack. And it goes beyond propelling its blade quills in simple straight lines—it can even bend these feathers to change their trajectories!

Revealing a certain snobbiness in its personality, Dartrix cares a great deal about its appearance, grooming its feathers in every spare moment. In truth, it’s also a bit of a birdbrain, with a tendency to bungle things up. Once it makes a mistake, it sometimes gets into a desperate struggle to gloss over the situation and ends up making a bigger mess than ever.

At times, this Pokémon feels so bothered by its dirty or ruffled feathers that it can’t focus on battle. When it loses its focus, it sometimes even retires from the battle on the spot! It’s up to each Trainer to help Dartrix overcome this troublesome stage. If this Pokémon is with a Trainer who helps it through, its strength will grow hugely!

    Torracat:

The bell-like object attached at the base of Torracat’s neck is a flame sac, an organ that can produce flames. Torracat’s emotions cause a rise in the organ’s temperature, and when the organ spits flames, it rings with the high, clear sound of a bell. Torracat attacks using the flames emitted from this bell.

Torracat’s mane serves as an excellent sensory organ, and it can sense what’s going on around it—even in the dark! It can also detect the presence of hidden enemies.

Torracat has a great love for battle and will attack so relentlessly that its opponents lose the will to fight. And yet it sometimes behaves like spoiled child in front of Trainers or Pokémon with whom it has built a relationship of trust.

The cat punch that this Pokémon can dish out with its strong forelegs is extremely powerful. It can bend iron bars and knock out large men with a single blow!

    Brionne:

Brionne learns its dances by imitating the other members of its colony. It sometimes even learns dances from humans. This Pokémon is a hard worker and pours itself into its efforts until it has memorized each dance. As it dances, Brionne creates balloon after balloon. In battle, it first sends its opponent into disarray with its dancing, and then slaps its balloons into its target, causing the balloons to explode and deal damage.

Brionne can dance in perfect time with others, even if they have only just met. On moonlit nights, you can sometimes see throngs of Brionne dancing as one, in perfect fluidity.

Brionne always acts cheery and positive. Even when it’s feeling sad, this Pokémon doesn’t allow its sorrow to show. It’s said that Brionne will only reveal a sad expression to a Pokémon or Trainer to whom it has opened its heart completely.

Ash-Greninja (seriously, why is it called that if Ash doesn't exist in the games???):

Ash-Greninja has powered up thanks to the strength of its bonds with Ash. This is the form Greninja takes when it has gained new power due to the miraculous occurrence known as the bond phenomenon. This can be brought on by the bonds between people and Pokémon. It seems that it has only known to have occurred once—several hundred years ago.

Ash-Greninja's leg strength has been enhanced compared to an ordinary Greninja, making it difficult to see because of the speed at which it can move. It takes its enemies out in a flash! It becomes able to make giant Water Shurikens on its back, and it can throw them in rapid succession.

Greninja that can become Ash-Greninja have an Ability that no Pokémon has ever had before—Battle Bond. The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!
  3. And just one month later, you can then bring him to Sun or Moon! That's what I plan to do.

Actually, you won't be able to bring Keldeo over until January, because that's when Pokémon Bank will update with Sun and Moon compatibility.

Also, if you live in Europe, you'll be able to get Volcanion at select retailers now through November 23rd. Americans will have to wait until October 10th to obtain it.

  4. Set 6 has been released, and as such it's time for an update (and a double post, sorry about that)! What changed, you may ask?

On the Jugdral front, Genealogy of the Holy War's entire playable first generation has a card, which is quite impressive. In addition to the NPCs already on the list, Eldigan and Arvis, Mahnya also received a card despite not being listed. I blame my lack of Genealogy knowledge for her absence. Since there's no real need for separate generation lists now, the only character remaining on the first list (Manfroy) was added into the second generation, which is now a general Genealogy section.

The Nohrian newcomers in comparison are few, with only Shura, Garon, Arete, and Anankos being new characters with cards. In addition, Laslow, Selena, Odin, Benny, Keaton, Velouria, Ophelia, Soleil, and Nina didn't get any new cards at all.

What unused characters will get cards in the next set? Stay tuned to find out!

  5. Surely Cordelia having Myrmidon access would be move confusing in that regard, no?

Actually, you bringing up the Nohrian class factor has me wondering...

How would Fates have turned out if the trio went to Hoshido instead? Obviously, they wouldn't be Nohrian retainers but aside from that, it'd be interesting to think about how things would be different, wouldn't it?

This is already answered by their reclass options. Inigo gets Ninja, Severa gets Sky Knight, and Owain stays as a Myrmidon/Samurai.

  6. Anankos insists that Inigo Severa and Owain to cut off any connections to their past, why? Sure, going around saying you're a warrior from another world would cause some issues and Owain's Brand might be a cause of concern but other than that I don't see the point of getting new names and hair colors. We see with Shigure's chapter that Vallite soldiers can track locations and the kids do fight them but Anankos decides this before they're ambushed.

There's no real in-universe reason, but the developers probably didn't want the player to know that they were returning Awakening characters immediately... even though it's obvious that they are.

If Anankos is so insistent on severing ties, then why did he change Severa's and Owain's hair color to their mothers? It's still a hair color change but if he wanted to be safe he should've changed it so that it isn't reminiscent of either parents. Also, if he wanted to be even more safe, why not give them a makeover? Surely a part of a God can change more than hair color? Give them new eye colors, eye shapes, new hair lengths, new hairstyles, new heights, new voices there were a load more things he could have done.

You shouldn't think too deeply into this, because the only reason their hair colors changed was to avoid giving them canon fathers.

From what I can remember Anankos was like "Halp my World is in danger" and the trio and were like "cool story bro" and helped him out. I feel like there's a disconnect here. Did any of the other kids hear about this? Anankos talks about how he heard about the trio's exceptional feats so surely he heard of Chrom Robin and Lucina? Sure they're most likely busy and in Lucina's Single Ending it's implied she goes back to her future but surely it was a worth a try. It's not like your World, your kid and the love of your life is in danger or anything.

The three of them were the top placing children in the popularity poll. In-universe, Anankos could only take a few people along and only brought the first three people who responded.

Anankos hypes up the trio with all these cool new powers and all Inigo and Severa get are is some shiny new armor, while Odin gets to wield magic, there seems to be quite a difference here, and yeah you have those Dragon Veins but that's all temporary.

It's probably just to explain why they're different from Awakening, even if not by much.

Did Mikoto believe that Anankos passed away when she fled to Hoshido? When she went to Sumeragi how much did he know about Valla? Did they hope off the Bottomless Canyon like Corn and friends in Revelations? If Mikoto believed Anankos was alive then was her and Sumeragi's relationship all smoke and mirrors to keep Mikoto and Corn safe?

Staying in a kingdom with an insane dragon god probably isn't safe, so Mikoto probably assumed that he died at some point. Mikoto couldn't talk about Valla without dying, so Sumeragi probably didn't know anything specific about the situation. And even if Mikoto thought that Anankos was alive, it's still possible for Mikoto to fall in love with someone else since her first love was lost forever.

I remember Lillith mentioning that she wouldn't betray Anankos by telling Corn about their lineage. I'm not sure which Anankos she's talking about and I can't see her looking good with either once. If she meant Baddie Anankos then it means she had some loyalty to him, which doesn't make a lot of sense considering how she despises him. And how would telling Corn about their origins betraying Goodie Anankos? Yeah there's the Valla curse but surely in Revelations it would be safe to say it? And even then, did Lillith know about the Water Teleportation thingy? Yeah maybe she wouldn't have enough power but considering how she can warp an army of people into a pocket dimension then surely it would have been worth a try?

She's referring to Human!Anankos, and she's respecting his wishes because he didn't want Corrin to know that their father is a malevolent dragon god. He also told Mikoto to not tell Corrin about him for the same reason.

  7. Voice clip requests. This opportunity doesn't come often so I had to think about it. Thanks, though!

    For Corrin:

"No, Azura, you are the ocean's gray waves! (you can sing it if you want to)

    "Stop the shoe tyranny!"

"What are you eating under there?"

"You thought your first kiss would be Azura, but it was I, Corrin!" (original quote, if that would help)

    And this one's for Scarlet:

"You do know that I'm already dating your lobster brother, right?"

  8. Passimian:

Passimian is a Pokémon that only appears in Pokémon Sun. If you’re playing Pokémon Moon, you can obtain it by trading with someone playing Pokémon Sun.

Passimian live in troops of 20 to 30 individuals, all following a leader. This leader will take 10 of the individuals in the best condition to search for food. The troop’s teamwork is strong, and the boss of each troop decides what mark members will wear on their arms to distinguish the troops.

The boss puts the troop members through training to improve their coordination with one another and their skill in handling Berries. Apparently this training is so hard that some Passimian end up running away.

Lobbing Berries at foes is how Passimian attack. They sometimes work in coordination with others, passing Berries back and forth to bewilder their opponents. Passimian don’t just pitch hard Berries at opponents, either—they also have a technique that uses soft Berries to obscure their opponent’s ability to see.

Passimian wants its Trainer to have the qualities of a leader as well. It watches a Trainer’s form closely when he or she throws Poké Balls, and will not listen to the orders of a Trainer with poor form.

Passimian has a new Ability, Receiver, which no other Pokémon has previously had. With the Receiver Ability, this Pokémon can inherit the Ability of an ally who faints in battle.

    Oranguru:

Oranguru is a Pokémon that appears only in Pokémon Moon. If you’re playing Pokémon Sun, you can obtain it by trading with someone playing Pokémon Moon.

Oranguru live solitary lives deep in the forests and do not usually take much action. Instead, they position themselves high up in the trees to meditate. Long ago, people thought that Oranguru were humans who dwelled in the forest depths, so they called them “the people of the forests.” Oranguru is kind to the other Pokémon living in the forest, providing medicine for injured Pokémon and food for the hungry.

Oranguru sometimes act on their own initiative and will use items that only humans normally use. From a Trainer’s perspective, they can be hard Pokémon to handle at times. Allegedly, there have been sightings of Oranguru using Poké Balls!

The fan-like objects held by Oranguru are handmade by the Oranguru themselves. These fans appear to be made of layers of leaves bound together with Oranguru’s own fur.

Instruct is a move that only Oranguru can learn. It can make the selected target use its most recent move again immediately.

    Lycanroc (Midday):

When Rockruff is bathed in profuse amounts of solar energy, it evolves into its Midday Form. In the world of Pokémon Sun, Solgaleo’s influence causes Rockruff to evolve into this form.

Lycanroc lives solo in mountains and deserts, not creating a pack. Each has its own territory, and they live without interfering with one another, which helps to avoid unnecessary fights.

Lycanroc obeys its Trainer’s orders dutifully. In particular, if a Trainer accepted it during its more rebellious pre-Evolution period, Lycanroc will never ever betray that Trainer and will be the most loyal of partners.

The Midday Form Lycanroc is known for speedy movements that leave its opponents bewildered. It dodges opponents’ strikes while attacking with the sharp rocks of its mane as it slips right past them.

Accelerock is a move that only Midday Form Lycanroc can learn. It slams into an opponent with quick moves. This move is guaranteed to strike first!

    Lycanroc (Midnight):

When Rockruff is bathed in an abundance of lunar energy, it evolves into its Midnight Form. In the world of Pokémon Moon, Lunala’s influence causes Rockruff to evolve into this form.

Midnight Form Lycanroc provokes its opponents by pressing in hard and inviting their attack. When an opponent falls for this tactic and attacks, Lycanroc counters with its forte: a single devastating blow that finishes off its foe! The stronger its opponent is, the more excited for battle Lycanroc becomes. It doesn’t mind getting hurt if it means victory in battle. Battles thrill it so much that its eyes glow.

Contempt rises in this Pokémon for Trainers who give orders it doesn’t agree with or who try to force it to battle. On the other hand, it will feel a deep trust in a Trainer who can truly draw forth its power in battle.

Counter is a move that Rockruff can learn when it evolves into Midnight Form Lycanroc. When Lycanroc takes physical damage from an opponent, it deals double that damage back to the same opponent.
  9. I'm pretty sure that "Silent Dragon" is just Anankos's title and not a certain subspecies of dragon.

    CorrinxAna Canon ?

For Silent Dragons to have descendants without breeding they'd have to be like Garon : receive huge amount of dragon blood/energy to the point of transforming. {Now that I think of it maybe if Anankos had a dragonstone none of this mess would have happened which is a plothole since if Azura can make dragonstones that mean that her family was able to do so which means Anankos going mad was out of meaning}.

So yeah unless Corrin gives all her/his powers to Kana known as a dragon child in the epilogue then that would explain how the power spread. This way you have dragon like creatures but don't look so draconic so to speak like Tiki.

Anankos does have a dragonstone; it's the gem in Azura's pendant. Though if a Anankos could use a dragonstone to stop his degenration he probably would, so it probably wouldn't have helped.

  10. I've been planning on playing Blazing Sword lately, but before I do there's something I want to know.

I know that there are special conversations that happen at certain points, and I don't want to miss any of them. But I don't know how many there are, so can anyone tell me whom these conversations are between and when they occur? I would also like to know if any story scenes or conversations (like, say, Hector and Lyn's in the final chapter of Hector's story that only occurs if they have an A support) vary depending on support levels. Thanks in advance!

  11. Is it the case where Sun is always day and Moon is always night? I know the events take place 12 hours apart, but I'm assuming there are still day/night cycles?

I assumed the same thing, but Moon's time is actually 12 hours ahead (or behind?). When it's daytime in reality, it's night in-game, and vice versa at night. So it's midnight when it's high noon, and noon when it's midnight.

I'll be free tomorrow when the next trailer hits, so I'll post it here as soon as I can.

  12. Alolan Raticate:

Because urban areas are their main habitat, their diet is higher in calories than ordinary Raticate. As a result, they have become hefty.

Alolan Raticate prefers to eat only fresh fruits and high-class ingredients. There are rumors that a certain top-notch restaurant takes advantage of Alolan Raticate’s taste buds by bringing it along when choosing ingredients to buy, and having it taste test new dishes.

Alolan Raticate continually stockpile huge amounts of food in their nests. They mostly prefer to send out Alolan Rattata to gather food while they themselves stay home in their nests and just eat.

Alolan Raticate is the Totem Pokémon of the trial that takes place in Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island in Pokémon Moon.* It summons Rattata to help it confront those who take on the trial.

*Gumshoos appears as the Totem Pokémon in Verdant Cavern in Pokémon Sun.

    Jangmo-o:

Jangmo-o has the pride of a warrior, although it remains humble about its capabilities. In its pursuit to become stronger, it never neglects its training.

Because Jangmo-o uses the scales on its head for both offense and defense, it never turns its back to its enemies. Many Trainers see this behavior and take it as proof that Jangmo-o is a valiant Pokémon.

Jangmo-o gather in harsh locales like canyons, where no other people or Pokémon are around, to live together as they train.

    Type: Null:

This Pokémon wearing a mask has been dubbed “Null,” meaning nothing.

The shapes of its front and hind legs are clearly different. The reason is that Type: Null was constructed to synthesize the strengths of various Pokémon, enabling it to adapt to any situation.

The mask fitted to Type: Null’s head is a piece of equipment designed to control its latent powers. It’s extremely heavy, so it also serves to hinder Type: Null’s agility.

To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology.

    UB-01:

UB-01’s body is composed of a glass-like substance. However, it’s constantly changing shapes, never settling on one.

While evidence of something like a survival instinct can be observed in UB-01, no one knows whether it has a will of its own or any emotions. It’s said that, for some reason, its movements resemble those of a young girl.

My guess it that Yungoos and Alolan Rattata are version exclusives.
