  1. Keep him. There is no reason to send him home. Even if you don't know how to use him right now, he might be more useful later on depending of the new characters we'll get. He is also a *5 unit and you might never get him ever again.
  2. I must admit that I wasn't thinking about Kris when I wrote this. Even though Kris is less revelant, he/she is still present so if someone dislikes/hates them (it is not my case), the game experience might not be enjoyable for this person. I was mainly referencing how Robin became more revelant than Chrom and Lucina in Awakening's final arc and Corrin's role and them being praised despite their mistakes in Fates in general. Kris obvously has flaws as well but I prefer a bit more their roles because there are less revelant than these 2 (though for Corrin it is understandable since he/she is also a Lord). I am a bit scared that a possible avatar in SoV could be somehow related to one of the main villains or could be more important than both Alm/Celica and the other characters but like I said I wouldn't mind one if they're not. Would that be BR's Leo's warping tome?
  3. No. An avatar would bring nothing in this game. Also it seems that Alm and Celica would get more moments than they did in Gaiden and the Villagers can fill the Avatar's role gameplay wise . If there is one, I wouldn't mind it as long as the avatar doesn't ruin the story or steal Alm and Celica's screentimes and roles. If there is an avatar, I don't see why it would be a problem if the avatar just stays in one group like the other characters. At the end of chapter 2, they could just decide which party they could join and stay with that party till the end of the game. Even though I am not a big fan of this feature, petting is at least optional and you can at least ignore it unlike the avatar mechanic (except in FE7 of course).
  4. There are nice cards. The other Gaiden ones in the TGC thread are also pretty nice. I don't know why but I thought the girl in the Alm card was Claire instead (probably because in the trailers, we saw her sprite and the hair colors are a bit similar) but I guess it makes sense if that's Effy. Since Effy and Kliff have the same color, I guess that there are probably related (siblings I suppose). I think that it implies that she's not an Avatar but a normal new character or else they would probably show a male version of her but I could be wrong. It seems to be a part of her armor to me but it could be possible. There are not the only ones. There are also Claire, Tobin, Boey and probably more. I don't mind it personally. Since Alm didn't seem to be at a disadvantage when he was fighting that soldier in the video so I guess there is no weapon triangle. Red like Archanean characters.
  5. Because of the Outrealms and the Heirs of Fate's DLC, I could see all 3 canon in their own universes but the one I want as a true path, is Birthright. Of course, Revelation would make the most sense since it is supposed to be the "golden ending" but it is poorly written and the story doesn't make sense just like in Conquest. In my opinion, in Birthright Corrin's actions make sense and the story is a bit similar to some previous FE's stories. Compared to Conquest and Revelation, it has less plotholes and references to Anankos/Valla which make the story a bit better than the other 2 as well and Birthright stands more as its own.
  6. It is kinda hard to define Alm's character since he doesn't have many lines in Gaiden and in Awakening's DLC but yes, he can be seen as "aggressive" compared to Celica. In the DLC, Alm also didn't seem to have doubts about fighting Chrom's army compared to Celica and other Lords. One of his infamous lines in Gaiden is : "Don't worry. I'll crush these bastards." though given the situation he was in, that reaction is quite understandable. But of course, it doesn't mean that he is cold hearted since he has regrets for a certain action he did in Gaiden for example. I wonder if they make him a bit more aggressive in Awakening to make a parallel with Walhart.
  7. In a real life situation no. Firstly even though they are not related, Corrin grew up with them thinking they are his sisters. Wanting to marry one of them just after he knows about this, is just wrong because it pretty much ruins their familial bonds in my opinion. Also Elise is technically an adult around 10-12 years old or something and Camilla can be crazy at times. Gameplay wise do whatever you want, it's just a game after all and you're not Corrin. Pretty much this as well. I also think that Corrin being able to marry the Hoshidan siblings quite weird for the same reasons.
  8. Don't worry I have worst luck. My only 5* is Lucina. I got 3 *4 heroes who are also available as *5 heroes though (4* Camilla, *4 Lillina, *4 Peri).
  9. Honestly I don't know. I prefer CQ's gameplay and maps overall and it also has a few good characters but the story was trash and the worst of the 3 in my opinion. Even though I like the units' designs of both nations), I prefer the Nohrians' (except for some of the females of course). I prefer BR's story. Though it is not saying much, I like how BR has a bit worldbuilding because of chapter 22 which reveals a few things about Nohrians and Garon. I could be wrong but I feel like chapter 22 was one of the only moments in Fates (if not the only one) where they explain things about Fateslandia. I also prefer BR's characters and music though CQ's music worked as well for what it tries. I also prefer BR's classes (especially Swordsmasters, Ninjas, Diviners/Anima Mage and Snipers). And yes, Scarlet deserved better in the other routes. I could say maybe CQ because gameplay wise it got intense and more memorable moments but honestly I also enjoy BR as well and better overall. RV is the worst route. Most of the maps suck especially the ones which reuse the maps of the 2 other routes (except RV chapter 19 which was better than CQ chapter 15) and RV chapter 10 and chapter 24 were also awful. Most of the non-royal units are useless and there is no point to use most of them. The story is also pretty bad and boring. The only thing I like about RV, are the exclusive supports. RV is also the only FE that I dislike overall.
  10. I got both versions of the fabulous Narcian. For the Hard mode, I used 5* Lucina, *4 Serra, *4 Lillina and *4 Camilla. Serra buffed Camilla's attack which allowed her to kill to that annoying Archer. Thanks to her defense, resistance and her being a green unit, she managed to resist Narcian and the mages' attacks. She flies away and gets healed then I burned Narcian with Lillina like in FE6. Lucina slashed the sword user, Camilla killed the blue mage and Lillina burned the green one.
  11. I guess I might pick the same classes I chose in the original. Though it might change depending of the new growths and the new characters. Grey/Gray: Mercenary mainly for more speed. He also likes the Thunder/Levin sword in the early/mid-game. Cliff/Kliff: Mage because of his good growths and the possible spells he can learn compared to the other villagers. Robin/Tobin: Archer. He is not that good especially compared to the villagers but he appreciates the Bow range. Also FE2's Bow Knights ftw but as a Sniper, he can still be a bit useful. Atlas: I made him a Mercenary if I remember well and he was useful but I might make him an Archer since Celica's route has a ton of mercs and just one archer. Or I could choose Cavalier for more variety. Efi: Since she seems to be female, she might have other classes like Pegasus Knight or Priest/Cleric and probably the female Mage class. I would choose Mage or Pegasus Knight since there are quite limited in Alm's route. Probably Pegasus knight though because there are so good in FE2.
  12. I don't really see the problem about this. It happens in most of the communities, not only for FE but for other games he did LPs as well, like Mario, Zelda and Pokémon. Some of Chugga/Emile's fans have been complaining as well for years about some of his decisions (CoD kids crying that he was doing only Nintendo games LPs and not CoD LPs, Pokémon fans being pissed that he doesn't do more Pokémon LPs, Nintendo fans who didn't like him doing LPs of Sonic Colors and the Okami series, Smash fans with his collab videos with the Runawayguys, etc...) and it didn't stop him because he wants to do LPs of games he likes both for him and for some of his fans who enjoy them. Currently he is even doing a LP of Zelda Skyward Sword, a game that some fans of the Zelda series (which is also divided and "intimidating") don't like but he is still doing this instead of OoT and TP because he likes the game and he wants to do it. If he liked to play Awakening and wants to do a LP of it even on Casual mode, then he can make one and just ignore the negative opinions of this game and the complaints in the youtube comments.
  13. You could only take 10 characters in the dungeons as well in Gaiden. so yeah it was quite small but it seems that it will be bigger since it would probably have OCs like Efi. I would love this to happen as well and
  14. Yeah I haven't seen the sword icon. My bad. The portrait look quite nice indeed. I'm hyped to see how the ones for the Draco Zombies and Gargoyles would be. Yeah I suppose some of the later dungeons would have more paths especially for
  15. It seems weird there are not many thieves enemies but it might be a different battle. There are also 3 other pictures. I found the first two in the japanese Amazon. Credits to anon from /feg/ for the third one. Just like the original game, there is still the Alm/Celica's route system. I honestly love these sprites a lot. That enemy knight and mage look good and hey it seems that they keep Alm's animation! Celica seems to use the Angel spell against a zombie. It seems to be still OP and effective against monsters and it seems to use HP so this mechanic is still in the remake. I wonder why they made the Angel's sprite a book though. Where are my cute fairies? In the third pic we saw Alm waliking in the dungeon/cave alone so like in the trailer it seems that only the lord can walk in the dungeons. Maybe these sections happen before the next monsters/bandits battles and the Mila Statue rooms. Also there are 10 characters slots just like in Gaiden where you could only bring 10 characters in the caves. Efi (female villlager) is here so she might recruitable since the beginning with the other villagers. Also Luka seems to appear as a Soldier so he doesn't start as a Knight like I thought he would when I saw modern Knight Luka replcing Gaiden Soldier Luka in the trailer. Yeah you recruit Clair around the half of chapter 1. It could be just me but it feels like she shows a bit more skin or something.
  16. It would be interesting as well because it would mean that we would get 3 classes (Thieves, Spies and Outlaws) being able to steal and each one being able to use a different weapon and being weak against one and strong against the other because of the weapon triangle. It would be similar to the Sword/Lance/Axe Cavaliers/Paladins and the Anima(Fire/Thunder/Wind)/Light/Dark Mages.
  17. They would probably release some new versions and arts of the most popular characters for Heroes I suppose. I assume that some of them would appear in Warriors and possibly playable in later games and maybe in Smash as DLC or something. I guess that the Elibe and Tellius games would probably get a remake as well.
  18. I can see Ninjas coming back if we get an East/Asia inspired country again. Otherwise I could just see thieves using knives now like they did in PoR/RD and currently in Heroes. They could just be replaced by thieves since they were Fates' thieves with the Outlaws.
  19. I could see Anna replacing the traders (NPCs who gave one of your items to the other party) in town or being a playable character.
  20. I played the game before the remake was announced and I finished it last week.
  21. If we ignore Anankos and the routes' endings, Hoshido is the most logical choice to me. I would choose Hoshido mainly because Garon tried to kill you twice before the choice so returning to Nohr is nearly suicide and I don't see why you should abandon both sides since there is no drawback to join Hoshido. Also Corrin was kidnapped and even though he doesn't remember the Hoshidans siblings and his mother, it doesn't invalidate Mikoto, Ryoma and Hinoka's love for Corrin. It might be an unpopular opinion but I would feel more sad for Felicia, Jakob, Gunther and Flora than the Nohrian siblings because I saw them more as a family. Felicia took care of you when you were sick , they spend the most time with you in the fortress since the Nohrian siblings couln't see you all the time because of Garon and Corrin sees Gunther as a father figure. If I knew the events in advance in both Birthright and Conquest, I would still choose Hoshido. Choosing Hoshido doesn't seem to bring much chaos in Fatesland in Birthright's ending since Ryoma decided to share food and others ressources with the Nohrians and their evil King and leaders are dead so they don't really have a reason to want an another war. Also countries near Nohr don't seem to have much trouble. Garon didn't kill the Ice Tribe and didn't kill some dancers in the kingdom of Nestra. Not sure about Cheve since the Nohrian army still attacks them at the end but since Scarlet leads Cheve in the ending, I suppose it's okay as well. Also both Nohrians and Hoshidans civils living in their capitols are fine. Also Notre Sagesse is not invaded. By choosing Conquest, it's true that the Ice Tribe is fine because of Corrin but it doesn't seem to go well for the other people. Firstly the main reasons you go to Notre Sagesse is also because Garon wants you to conquer Notre Sagesse for Nohr and because of the Hoshidans being in the territory they can't conquer it. Since Garon congratulates you by saying that Notre Sagesse is under Nohr's occupation and by knowing Garon's methods to invade countries, I would assume that Hans or someone else in the Nohrian army had a fun time. Then we have the massacre in Cheve, some innocent Nestrian dancers being killed and finally some Hoshidans soldiers and civils being killed. I know some people would say that you probably killed more people in Hoshido because there are more rout missions and because Corrin "spares" some lives in Conquest but even if we ignore Garon and his goons' actions, Corrin still kills some people in Conquest by his own hands. He helped Kotaro to kill some Hoshidans for example. His army also killed Hinata, Oboro, Kagero and Saizo so they also probably killed some generic Hoshidans soldiers. Though for Saizo and Kagero's cases, I can understand since Garon was watching. They also killed Hans, Iago and a ton of Nohrian soldiers just because they were listening to Garon's orders , Zola and his troops because they found a way to end the war quickly and Corrin and Xander didn't like the method. Instead of killing them all, they could have just order Zola to take the Hoshidan soldiers as prisoners/hostages instead. Conquest seems to imply that all the Nohrians who fight for Xander and Corrin are good and the ones working for Garon and the rest are evil. I suppose some of them are evil as well but in Hans' chapter in Birthright, I think it is clear that the evil leaders just threaten to execute the soldiers' families if they don't obey orders. So in a way, Zola and his troops' deaths were a bit tragic to me. Then we have the Conquest ending where Nohr wins the war and obviously take Hoshido's ressources since it's the main reason they wanted to take over Hoshido in the first place and some Hoshidans hate us even more. Hinoka and Sakura still love Corrin and want the Hoshidans to accept him? I hope for them that Hoshido doesn't have a more competent version of Ludveck or else there would be more deaths and probably a new war. Honestly, choosing Nohr just feels like a bad ending no matter what. Even though I would not act like Corrin if I were in Corrin's position in Conquest, I couldn't really do anythng either because of Azura showing only to me the crystal ball. The siblings wouldn't trust me if you don't give them a proof that Garon is (literally) a monster especially that except maybe Xander, they seemed all scared of him. The only thing that could work would be to ally in secret with the Ice Tribe, Cheve and other rebels but good luck with Iago watching your movements and the Nohrian siblings and their retainers not helping you.
  22. i forgot to put my roll, here are my first and second roll! I guess I could have tried for something better but Lucina seems to be pretty rare so I decided to keep the second team. Too bad Lucina wasn't in the first roll replacing the weaker Eliwood since now I don't have Shiida/Caeda, Barst, Lon'qu and Eliwood... Oh well at least I got some other fun characters in the second roll especially for Serra.
  23. I am glad to see that some people love Mozu and Catria as well! Don't worry at least you voted for Hector and for Oboro multiple times. I am glad to see that love for Oboro! I hope they will pool together the votes so like that a male character other than one version of Ike for example might get something good in the game and would be in the top 10. Yeah it's true that some characters become a bit different and sometimes more mature in the sequels. I hope we will see some character development and good for Catria and her sisters in SoV
  24. If these special outfits are supposed to be new, I am expecting to see fanservice. Characters getting a new class/being reclassed like in FE Cipher would be fun both gameplay and design wise. I also like the idea about them getting a Askir version of their outfits. If that's the case I hope they would get a Emblian version as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they just got alternate designs based on the games for those who appear in more than one game and those get a new art in FE13 though.
