  1. So, I come bringing more clarification. The Netherlands, Germany, and Turkey all have a law that forbids campaigning for national political issues in foreign countries. (in case of Turkey, it's rarely enforced) As far as I know, the Netherlands and Germany also have laws forbidding other countries from campaigning in their country. To put things into further perspective, the majority of Dutch Turks or Turkish Dutch have dual nationality. They were born and live their entire lives in the Netherlands, and have a vote in Dutch elections, but at the same time they have a vote in Turkey. And over the past few years there have been a few incidents. Two years ago there was the case of (all) Dutch Turks receiving a letter from the (ruling) Turkish AK party, urging them to vote for them. The Turkish government probably has their adresses and names, but there's no way the AKP should have access to them, let alone use the official government for campaigning purposes. Then at the tail end of last year, there was the arrest of a Turkish spy working to assassinate Kurdish and opposition members in Germany, and the subsequent reveal that there was also a Turkish spy network in the Netherlands. And finally, following the attempted coup in Turkey, there was a flurry of violence and threats between Turkish groups in Europe.
  2. We'll use the flag we damn well want to use
  3. OH MY GOD SOME TURKISH MANCHILDREN SEVERAL THOUSAND MILES AWAY TRIED TO PROVOKE US BY BURNING OUR NATIONAL FLAG! Surely I can't do anything but be offended now. whatever nerds.
  4. So who are you guys voting tomorrow? For me, VVD is definitely off the list. Their health care reforms are messy to say the least, and I would like to see the next parliament do something about it. Furthermore: PVV is out because it's the PVV, PvdD is out because their focus is animal rights, SGP is out because they're fundamentalist christians. SP is out because they're idiots. My core issues this election: Temporary contracts are dumb and bad, and while very popular right now, need to be mostly eliminated. The latest batch of health care reforms need some major reworking. Insurers make some mad profit while they're not even for-profit companies, the eigen risico is outrageously high and the budget cuts imposed on health care providers have gone too far. They've commonly hit the point where increased efficiency can make up the difference and quality of care and capacity have often suffered. Several hospitals have faced insolvency. Department of Defense spending should be increased to more reflect the 2% of bnp NATO norm Stay in the EU, integrate where possible Refugees welcome My viewpoints mostly align with PvdA, D66, DENK and Groenlinks. I'm thinking of voting PvdA.
  5. The Turkish minister was told beforehand she was not welcome in the Netherlands, as was another Turkish minister, for trying to hold speeches about the referendum here. She came regardless, and was stopped from entering the Turkish Consulate in Rotterdam, along with her retinue (and possibly armed guards) and the Turkish Consul in Rotterdam called up people to come hold a demonstration (which was completely illegal, you need a permit to hold a demonstration). All in all it was some really shitty behaviour from her, and she's free to try and get her case heard by the EU court of human rights. She did not enjoy political immunity, that's a right only reserved for heads of state, prime ministers, ministers of foreign affairs and diplomats. What still confuses me is the legal basis for banning her from the Netherlands. All of the articles I've read so far speak of "ongewenste vreemdeling", but that's only applicable to EU citizens. The only other option as far as I know is an "inreisverbod", a ban from being in the Netherlands, which can be applied to non-EU folks. Regardless, the fact she went to Rotterdam despite being told she was banned would normally have her serving jailtime so she got off really easy all told.
  6. okay, since I dont speak horrid English, I'll explain. Last saturday, the Turkish minister of family affairs visited the Netherlands to campaign for the Turkish referendum to give the Turkish president more power. Apparently a demonstration of Dutch Turks formed outside the Turkish consulate in Rotterdam, (afaik you need a permit for political demonstrations, not sure if they had one, but probably not). Around midnight the crowd started rioting and police dispersed them. So now the Turkish government is calling us fascists and nazis, says the police violence was disproportionate(complete nonsense), and is threatening economic sanctions against us(not like we care). Really just normal Turkish foreign policy. No one so far has really given much of a shit, but if anything it steels the resolve of alt-right nationalist type people. We have parliamentary elections tomorrow, and by the way we don't have a president.
  7. I return with more stages completed. I decided I'll try the imgur album thing the new forums allow for, let me know if it breaks something for you, and I'll revert it to links. Stage 19: 3/85 Stage 20: 4/89 Stage 21N: 3/92
  8. Paul Ryan is a confirmed idiot. Has been for a while now. It's a shame he's as high up the chain as he is but that's the republicans for you, I guess. Another GOP congressman claims the poor just don't want health care. Thanks for generalizing me into this group, I guess. The man goes on to state that the Medicaid population is also the one that spends the least on preventative care, having a healthy diet and excersizing. Now I'm certain he's right about this, but this doesn't equate to "poor people don't want health care".
  9. If these leaks are like the other leaks it'll take some time to work through them. also not buying that the cia can remote control cars.
  10. AFAIK American health insurance is also complete shit. So it makes even less sense.
  11. Obviously what awaits us is a glorious Reconquista. We will hunt the heathens in to the sea. It seems Barcelonan/Aragonese separatism has been an issue for 1200 years. Also, you should just execute the raider chief you have captive.
  12. BOOOOOO TWO UPDATES IN A ROW WITHOUT SPILLING THE BLOOD OF THE HEATHENS BOOOOOO
  13. So I did stage 17 and 18, and learned Calvina needed to stay level 17 on stage 17 in order to get to level 20 on stage 18. So I had to do some replaying. Oh well. Stage 17: 9/76 http://imgur.com/a/VxLs8 Stage 18: 6/82 http://imgur.com/a/o2Uur
  14. If this is your diet, this is more in line with what you need, I estimate about 1800-2000kcal. (which is still low if you're male, or an active female) Your afternoon snack can easily be something like cookies, pastry, chips, etc. I might even recommend it.
  15. That depends on how many fruits and veggies you eat daily. The amount of calories you should strve to consume varies between men and women, lifestyle, genetics and afaik also where you live in the world. For men it can between 2000-3000kcal (3500 or more for extreme amounts of physical activity) a day, and an average of 2500kcal. For women 1600-2400kcal (2800 or more for extreme amounts of physical activity) and an average of 2100kcal. In your case: 1 bowl of rice (200gram): 290kcal 2 slices of whole wheat bread (70gram): 160kcal 1tbsp of olive oil(10gram): 90kcal 1 glass of milk (150gram): 155kcal This is the part I can easily quantify, so I'll take this as the basis of your diet, and it amounts to 700kcal per day. This means you need to get at least 1300kcal if you're male, 900kcal if you're female from the fruits and veggies that you eat. 1 apple (120gram): 70kcal 1 banana (130gram): 124kcal 1 prune (40gram): 20kcal Veggies are generally low in caloric content, and there's a buttload of them, so I'll ignore them for now. If you're male you would need to eat at least 18 apples, or 11 bananas, or 65 prunes to meet your daily caloric needs. If you're female you would need to eat at least 13 apples, or 8 bananas, or 45 prunes to meet your daily caloric needs. I don't know how much fruit you eat daily, but it looks to me like you're eating at most half of what you should be. EDIT: this is obviously only aimed at caloric needs, but if this is your diet, you're hardly getting any proteins and essential amino acids at all (WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL) and you're low on fats.
  16. fats: dairy products(milk, cheese, butter, cream, yogurt etc), soybean products, avocado, meat and fish, meat and fish replacements and nuts. And the oils you use to bake, deepfry, make salad dressings with, etc. sugars, or to be more precise, carbohydrates: bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, gnocchi, beans, root vegetables, bulgur, couscous, fruits in general and basically everything that also contains fats. You can also intake sugars through cookies and other sweet things, but my general advice is to keep that to a max of several hundred calories a day.
  17. Those shouldn't be your main source of fats and sugars. pls do me a favour and keep a diary of what you eat throughout a week for a while and come back to me/shin/rezzy, and we'll see if you're missing out on things. I'm currently expecting you are.
  18. Ephraim and Eirika are very close. If they weren't siblings my guess would be they were regular fuck buddies. Any way, was the protagonist of your dream FE called bubba jones, and did he recruit a bunch of good ol' boys an gals to defeat his brother and his corrupt gubmint cronies?
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if what you eat during the week contains too little fat and sugar, and you end up craving(needing) fatty food and sugary stuff. BTW if this is the case(probably is) then you're in the ballpark of eating disorder. You're trying to deny yourself things that you need and end up overeating to compensate. (You don't need to puke things out after binging to make it boulimia nervosa)
