  1. Horny anime chess. Gotta be precise. It helps that I'm a pathological game restarter. I'm quite familiar with SacSto's early maps, even with your changes. Zombies suddenly being dangerous really messed up my "who can survive how much" intuition, though Onii-chan? that was "older brother" in animespeak, right?
  2. @Saint Rubenio HE LIVES Total number of characters seems correct, too.
  3. While you're at it: It seems that axe cavaliers aren't flagged as horse units. Ephraim's Reginleif doesn't deal effective damage against the one in 5x.
  4. Can confirm that this is fixed. Status Harold still pending. Hopefully, he won't get Thanos-snapped, I believe he got three levels during chapter 5
  5. Playing SacSto takes a little longer if you're actually reading the dialogue.
  6. I've only just finished chapter 2, so, uh, gimme a minute.
  7. Low effort, but it's after midnight and I suck at this stuff, so...
  8. Ye, it obviously happens to dudes, too. It kinda illustrates the problem talking about stuff like this - you can't point at a singular scene or work and say, "SEE?! The problem is THIS SPECIFIC THING". There's nothing inherently abhorrent with the story beat "A girl gets in a pickle and requires help"... but it sucks that it's a girl that's in a pickle far more often and that the dashing hero arriving for the rescue far more often as well. Silly Armagon, doubting the damselidity of a Kaga game
  9. I think it's also worth pointing out that arguing whether or not there's a realistic string of events that would lead to Minerva being captured and Michalis rescuing her by casually strolling by... kinda misses the point. The complaint isn't that it's unrealistic for a woman to be incapacitated in some form, it's that Fire Emblem (and, let's be real, fantasy media in general) very clearly introduces and/or uses female characters far, far more often as Damsels in Distress than dudes are used as Junkers in Jeopardy. And it's used because it invokes the picture of the helpless noblewoman being saved by the heroic knight. Plus, that you're using this example kinda proves my point that this example is the only context in which the term "damsel" has survived. Junkers in Jeopardy would make a great name for a Medieval Rock band €: Junker in Jeopardy also makes for a great user title
  10. Is "damsel" used at all as just "young woman"? I'm not a native speaker, of course, so this isn't entirely a rhetorical question, but I can only reiterate that I have never seen or heard it as such. I believe "not used in common speech" is quite the understatement.
  11. I mean, words and meaning change. On its own, the term 'damsel' has been out of fashion completely for a long while now. I don't think I've ever seen it outside of the either explicit or implicit context 'in distress', although I haven't really read pre-modern English literature, so I do not believe that the general connotation between those terms has deformed an existing, active piece of language. It's a dead word that has picked up a different, more specific meaning because it's been stone dead in any other context. -- Including the full usage of his three S ranks: __ (OK, Milady was standing in reserve for that last one) The 1L:
  12. Obviously with a bunch of stat boosters, but not even as many as I gave to Sophia in the previous run. I didn't write it down, but I think something along the lines of +7 HP and +4 to Str/Spd/Def. That would put him at +1.2 HP, -0.5 Str, +2.4 Skl, -1.5 Spd, +2.4 Lck, +3.3 Def, +0.4 Res, which seems realistic. ...maybe a Secret Book, too? I'd be surprised if I gave him a Goddess Icon, since his Lck is perfectly fine as it is. I do remember him being crazy Def blessed and I guess that didn't swing back. Come to think about hit, Marcus's expected stats will always be very slightly above what his "averages" make you believe. He has a 9.8% chance of an empty level, but since GBAFE rerolls twice if that happens, it's more like 1/1000 to actually happen. The character most likely to get an empty level should be Milady, which is kinda funny, but that's because she casually caps HP, Str, Skl, and Spd at Lv.20/14. You can't be fucking Sirius. He's in a committed relationship.
  13. Banni parce que français est une plus belle langue.
  14. The ones growing at +2 honestly aren't too painful to get. I obviously made sure to keep them adjacent when possible (it helps that Lance and Marcus are both mounted), but I never had to spam End Turn. If you're not playing at a dondon pace, 90-ish turns isn't unreasonable, especially for early joiners. The +1 supports are a meme, of course. OK, but 20 XP. Twenty Ex Pee. That's nine more XP than a simple Heal. Hell, it's three more XP than a Barrier use! This post was written by the Promote Your Healer At Lv. 20 gang. 30 Mag Lilina with her future husband making pancakes for breakfast and delivering +3 Atk to her. Yyyyup.
  15. Is it though? All in a day's work. ⬆️Growth unit, very amazing potential, magic nuke. Wowee. ⬆️ ⬇️The Jeigan, earlygame crutch, steals XP. Worthless after a few maps. Ewwww. ⬇️
  16. Iä! Iä! Bh'ncze b'nèdh R'lyeh wgah'nagl b'nèdh Bh'ncze fhtagn! Iä! Iä!
  17. Work isn't done. I like the part where Marcus would've survived two hits in this scenario (Peres and generic attack him on EP, Marcus attacks Peres on PP). Admittedly, Roy and Lance are pretty helpful here. +17 Hit, +25 Avoid, +2 Atk, +3 Def.
  18. If you're going to play Book 1: Radd (or whatever the translation patch calls him. The mercenary joining alongside Gaius Julius Caesar) Book 2: Kain. New Mystery: Ryan, reclassed into Myrmidon as soon as you get out of the prologue.
  19. Thank you. I put a lot of time and effort into it. Like, almost a minute.
  20. You know what they say: If you go to the TeeHee thread and meed a heretic, you just met a heretic. If you go to the TeeHee thread and everybody is a heretic, maybe it's YOU who is the heretic. So basically, cookies are orthodoxy now
