I have to admit that I never got too far into FE1 and Gaiden because the gameplay is really slow and clunky. I didn't hate playing them, since (as @Fire Emblem Fan pointed out) FE still has very solid basic gameplay, but I'd rather replay Shadow Dragon than wrestle with FE1's inventory management. But other than that, I genuinely like every game I've played through (which is 6-12). Urge to replay them varies, but I think they're all, at worst, good games.
