  1. For me that sort of discourse ends up funny the moment I mention I'm female. They tend to get silent quick afterwards.
  2. I like all the Fates royals to varying degrees so how do I pick at all between them? :S I only married one of them though Guess who.
  3. Aye, we will march with the Askrian princess! Onward!
  4. Added! Rest assured, I promise to let your Sharena go all out on the reds she will encounter.
  5. I'm not hard pressed to imagine that the sheer levels of NaCl would be enough to form a salt flat larger than this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salar_de_Uyuni
  6. Mind if I add you? The more the merrier..? :3 Goes w/o saying anyone joining Team Camilla can add me if they wish.
  7. Quiz no. 4: Linkle -> Link -> Agitha Sounds good to me, I'm guessing that the favourite colour question was the deciding factor on getting both Linkle and Link. Agitha is 100% due to the butterfly accessory lol.
  8. I'm not so sure on that, playable AAA Demos (as far as I've been told - and it's as much as you can be told from a friend under NDA) are usually scheduled some time in advance to assure their state is as stable (not complete - stable) as they can get while simultaneously showcasing as many features as you can from a gameplay perspective (and as much as marketing allows you to show at that time) given your build's state. The bigger the scale of the project, the more hands required to make a demo happen. Marketing and Project lead will determine a scope of what they want to show and when in demoes and trailers as the asset creation (models/textures/sound/VA) comes along. This is actually why playable demos are rare these days - they take too much time and effort to make and properly publish. On point, a smaller scaled one like this still takes a good chunk of time to compile, get to the QA team, then PR, then legal. There's no way you'd allocate that many resources from across the board during the crazy crunch time (approx one to two last months before going gold) in such a way that your team will essentially work doubly to assure both a demo and a full build at the same time. If I were to guess - I'd say May is the latest date possible date for this build to be compiled and properly tested before it's publication, and not influence the work during the crunch weeks. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if it's a month or so older than May.
  9. The thing I can think of atm is that we're only seeing a fragment of his moveset, a moveset which, now that I think about it, might not have been finished when they made the demo. Which would make sense, demos (playable ones at least) take roughly one to two months to make* and are made when other parts of development is a at the forefront (assets for undeveloped content, PR, marketing, legal etc) rether than the core game - in other words, you're seeing the game at a build that's a month old at minimum. */Assumption based on interviews from developers on AAA games development and an old friend of mine who works as a Game Dev freelancer (3D modeller).
  10. Far from it, I'm currently sitting at rank 6401 with a score of 360 800 - and I've still got 1015 flags left to burn. To reach the score that I did the players in the same rank bracket must have caught roughly the same amount of multipliers that I did, which is 3. In other words, those who are further down in rank from me have, on average, 1015+ flags left. Ofc all of them aren't going to burn them all, but there's still a hefty numer of people with flags on Team Camilla is what I'm saying. While I'm here, @Frenzify, I don't know if you're reading this, but since I think you're on Team Camilla(?) and since I'm getting your great Beruka quite frequently, I think I unfourtunately need to request a unit change. Because during the last multipliers I've been spooked four times by teams fielding red mages, swords and archers (I still won but by a very narrow margin). :S
  11. Because "Hope will never die!" and I had saved up another another 18 orbs (why thank you daily orbs) I figured I'd snipe for Brave!Lucina to complete the Brave quartet. And how did that hope go...?
  12. *Reads the last two topic pages* Heeey, eye spy more team mates on Team Camilla - well, the more the merrier! If you want to add me feel free - I'd be happy to lend a hand.
  13. Same - I try to limit my filter to SF->VG Team Member add*->Active Players. Basically if they haven't played in over a week and isn't an SF user I remove them. */ Since we might end up at the same team again should that player pick the same team again in a future Gauntlet.
  14. Indeed it is - vetting the Friendlist is always a mini-anxious moment for me: "Wait when did I add this person?" "Who are you? I can't remember your original Screename..?" "I kept as a memory of that epic Arena team/unit I borrowed on that VG. I uh...think...?" "Wait, is this an SF person?" And so on. I even have someone who's added me twice, once on their main and then on an alt account. The odd part? I have no idea who they are since I find no-one matching that username here but this is the only place I've shared my Heroes ID.T'is a mystery that one. Sounds fair and also engaging to me - which is what I wish this event was so I'd be cool with this.
  15. Yup - I get being invested though (I'd be guilty as charged on my accounts if asked) but that doesn't mean one's conduct can be thrown out the window - not to mention there is such a thing as being supportive while not putting someone else down. That way everybody wins instead! Woot
  16. Goodie! (I actually had a close call on getting enough reds for the quest last round) Yeah, I ended up saving 305 for this one - will see how far they get me on this round, I do intend to throw all of my flags on this round at any rate. I deal ok enough with humouristic trash talk, but when the trash talk gets too...idk how to put it, heavy? Mean-spirited? Or worse, ad hominem laced? Yeah, noping out at that point. :/
  17. That reminds me - would you prefer it if I switched my S!Corrin to Hinoka instead? While her A and B skills aren't finished, she's got Armored Blow 1/Desperation2/Luna/Swap/Hone Fliers - so as an alternative S!Corrin buffing Camilla's defenses Hinoka would let her hit like a truck instead. :P
  18. And Camilla made it - gg Tharja it was a close one - you fought bravely for her. *Sigh* I'm already dreading the next round's fandom discourse on the women's side though - this is going to get ugly fast isn't it? Well, at any rate at least I can reminisce on the following highlights from this round: 1) I...I'm not sure if I should be concerned about how well having my Camilla paired up with this Valter went: A red unit so much as sneezes at my Camilla? Valter kills it if he can reach it - If he can't reach it he Repositions her to safety and all the while he gets Fortify Fliers and Rally Attack buffed by being close to Camilla. 2) And this little moment of recognition of my Camilla dedication: I ended up at at rank 457, but it was fun to be at the top while it lasted...for 2 hours I think? Yay! You're welcome to join us! You can add me if you want - even if our fate is sealed we at least stick together!
  19. Well, I would favour a game mode that is fair towards individual player's scores and by extension their rewards - to the point that no matter their timezone or their chosen Team's success their individual score is tied to how much the game is played instead. To achieve the closest thing possible to that (as the Gauntlet currently stands) would be to remove the Victory Feathers, mitigating curbstomp prophecies, and not have the multiplier affect the individual score. While you can't do away entirely with people joining a team for an easy rank, one can at least mitigate it by not having that type of bandwagoning affecting ranks by means of an inflated score to the point that they currently do. This is already happening in a sense - having a nigh impossible chance of ranking high on both your team and on the cumulative score compared to the player who doesn't care one fig besides their net reward, is bound to ruffle...quite a number of feathers. I 100% swear that pun was unintended Something akin to this might work, the snag that I see (as it's currently presented) is that tying score to performance means those impossible matchups can put a real damper on things quick - there would need to be tweaking to whom you can pick as your ally and how matchups are done in that case. One way to work with that would be to pre-view a match like the Tempest Trials or Arena Assault (with one enemy remaining hidden) and then you get to pick one ally from your friendlist (if no friend exists you would get to pick between a matched set of random allies), and the last ally would still be random. That way you would: Still get to borrow a unit from someone else which is one of the draws of this mode from a gameplay POV. You would more heavily favour strategic matchups as opposed to complete random ones- the "impossible" matches would be reduced by good chunk this way. The Friendlist's purpose will feel more meaningful - even when all you've added are random arena opponents, now you'd need to be selective on who is on that list. Alternatively, you could still keep the ally selection as-is and instead add the same kind of items that Arena Assault uses as Quest awards for the Gauntlet (and restrict them to the Gauntlet like the flags).
  20. I ought to have clarfied that Lianna can be seen on the preview for the US boxart: https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/902285893427499009 Yes, that's pretty much my point - it isn't finished, but we could assume that Elise and Sakura could be on it based on there being a logical spot for them - as the preview currently looks, there's no obvious spot for Azura, but the spot for M!Corrin would make Corrin's portrait exactly like Robin's, aligned with their boxart. Which imo, just feels more likely than moving the portrait and boxart. In the end that doesn't necessarily mean Azura won't be in - for all we know the reason she wouldn't be on the poster could be because her role in FEW is too much of a spoiler or something (which could be why Darios isn't there either). It's anyone's guess in the end. And true re: Darios, we're in "As far as we know" territory when it comes to his role - playable, NPC...villain? Only time will tell his tale (and the final roster).
  21. Except there is more to be concerned about when it comes to critizising the multiplier than "Who wins" . As it currently stands, the inflating multiplier screws over indidual ranks and strongly disfavours those whose timezone never catch multipliers. And then, because of just how much of an upset those multipliers can do, it in turn favours the "don't play at all" tactics. Which again, screws over individual scores and defeats the point of a gamemode - to play it and accumulate score - "Want to win? Don't play the gamemode!" Wait...What?
  22. Yep! Coupled with a blurb like this even: "本作に参戦する新英雄を公開!? スペシャルゲストに「マルス」役の緑川光さんをお招きして、早矢仕プロデューサー、臼田ディレクターと共に本作の新情報をお届けします。" "新英雄" New Hero" eh? I mean I'm excited and I haven't even played SD yet. (at least I still have more than a month to rectify that).
  23. Corrin could be the exception to the rule - while I'm personally a bit doubtful I'm not ruling it out entirely either. I mean there's no spot for Darios either on that poster (Rowan and Lianna are too close) and he's...well we know he's in the game.
  24. True she could be, and I agree on that leaving Azura out would be...odd. The thing that gives me pause on Azura compared to M!Corrin is the lack of a logical slot for her on the poster - but even then, she could be added below Hoshido/Nohr's royalty.
