  1. At this rate I'm gonna be bringing 700ish flags into the next round lol. I might burn like 400 in the last hour if her chance doesn't come just to secure my rank in this round. I want to have a better chance in ranking so I'd prefer a unit that I can fight with (also it's more fun). I have a Julia as well, but I only recently got her and she isn't exactly usable at the moment.
  2. Team Robin for me if Sanaki likely loses. [He's the only one that I have a usable 5* of]
  3. Team Sanaki is in trouble. We've been steadly falling for a while but not sure if falling fast enough to get the multiplier before the end. We need to get enough to shoot past Julia and end before Julia can recover. I'm actually playing less now so that the gap can widen slightly faster. Team Merric has obviously run out of steam/flags by now. Team Linde is also pretty dead. They have a multiplier but the gap is too wide to fill up. Henry is also likely dead as he couldn't manage to pass Leo in the last multiplier. The only potential upset that I can see happening is Sanaki beating Julia, but even then the odds are kinda low.
  4. I picked Serra/Sain just because she seems like really the only person who would match his level of energy. It seemed to me like all of his other supports would quickly get sick of his whole over enthusiastic flirting. Pairing him up with anyone is tricky though since he goes after everyone. To be honest I can't really see how he could end up with anyone. I picked Rebecca/Raven even though they don't have an ending as well. It's one of the few times where we get to see him not be a giant stick in the mud.
  5. Marth did get a second game, but he's not really noted to be particularly strong.
  6. Eliwood/Ninian Rebecca/Raven Hector/Florina Priscilla/Erk Lyn/Kent Sain/Serra Nino/Jaffar
  7. I think Sigurd X Deidre was supposed to be rushed and bad. The entire plot unfolds poorly for them because she broke the rule of the spirit forest to not interact with men which would bring bad stuff. I like to think of it as Fire Emblem Romeo and Juliet how it shows that love at first sight is bad.
  8. I'd like to think that's probably an oversight they didn't think about. If it isn't then she must have idolized him during her early years and kept in touch somewhat over 18 years which is creepy. Suddenly Haar hooking up with Jill doesn't seem as odd.
  9. There are a few missing from this list like Mani/Sol Katti. I'd take Apocalypse though.
  10. Lehran is the person closest to the goddesses, can live to at least 3k years, and is the first person to have a branded child. His bloodline is probably a little unique.
  11. New voting gauntlet looks silly. Why put Leo in again when he was in the first one? Also it could have used a Nino as she's the only character who can possibly stop Tharja from sweeping and give Eilbe some attention. I don't think they've had any thus far. New focus banner needs to have the title "OP HEROES."
  12. She was okay to me. She was relate-able but didn't really do much actually earn my favor. She didn't have the charisma or grand cause that made me feel like she was an actual leader for the majority of the game. It just seemed like people were fighting for her since she was just the princess. I can forgive her for the stone thing. L'arachel isn't exactly the most mentally grounded person so I'm sure some of the stuff she says would normally be met with skepticism compared to her friend that she doesn't know exactly how possessed he is. I actually felt it was dumber that Eph tried to fight Lyon by himself with the stone that I'm not even sure he knew how to use properly. In all honestly, FE8 didn't stick with me that much and it's one of the worlds that I feel least attached to. I may have liked her more if I felt more attached to the game as a whole.
  13. It sucks. Maybe they'll fix/add/explain it whenever we get Echoes: Shadows of Tellius.
  14. You haters can think of it like this if you want. Ike is considered the strongest because he's ONLY good at fighting and someone who only spends their time doing one thing will naturally be better at it than others who spend it doing something else. He's a mercenary. It's his job to be good at it. He spends so much time training and fighting that he doesn't invest his character points into anything else. He knows he's uncharismatic and sucks at conversations because he has nothing else to talk about because he spends so much time training and fighting. It consumes such a large amount of his time that he can't even get a romantic pairing by the end of RD. It gets to the point where people call him a flat character who's only real standing out point is that he's strong. Being in multiple wars is kind of a big deal. Fighting more battles gives you more time to grow. Alm became a king after his game and probably spent a lot less time training while Ike had a whole new war to get better. I forgot that Marth also fought two wars. Marth's strong point is his kindness though and he's not noted for his battle strength.
  15. Yeah, if we ignore final boss power level debates, Ike still stands to reason to be the strongest simply because he's the lord who can devote the most of his time to fighting. Every other FE main character is or becomes a lord of something and would need to spend time coming up with plans, governing, managing, managing a family/harem, whatever. Ike regulates most of that to Soren and can spend more of that time training to get stronger. He doesn't need to worry about the same things they do and get bogged down by the same responsibilities so devote more of his effort to training.
  16. As much as we love this series, the characters here are relatively weak compared to most other JRPGs. Grima's biggest feat besides being big and strong is that he can create Risen. Ashera can also create zombies so that's nothing special. Anankos is probably stronger just going by what we've seen, we don't actually know the full span of Asheruna's power so she might be stronger. Back when Naga was the main god people wouldn't have expected Naga to have time travel powers. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave her other powers to pull out as the plot demands. This bothers me as well. The world building between the Tellius and the worlds of FE Awakening and Fates just don't compare. Anankos' powers are just silly and don't really seem like powers an actual deity would have but rather just the most overpowered stuff they could come up with which if used by anyone with half a brain would be able to crush the protagonists in an instant.
  17. Ashera is one half of a complete goddess who was noted for wiping out every other continent with a deluge. I would assume that Ashera is at least more than half that powerful since she's stronger than her other half at that point in time.
  18. Freaking 5 star Lucius. I drew two of them and I got a few 4* versions which I sold because he has nothing to offer.
  19. I always took it as Ike being the in the middle of two giant continent spanning wars and winning gave him more chance to grow than the other main characters who only do one at best. Ashera being more powerful than the other final bosses only adds to that.
  20. To be perfectly fair, large age gaps and relationships with parental figures have been in this series for a while so that's nothing new. Yeah they're kinda squicky, but it's nothing new and no less valid than any other relationship in this series. Personally though, I wouldn't support it due to me having other preferences.
  21. All of the GBA games had easy final bosses. FE6's was noticeably easier though as you have a unit that can literally ORKO the boss with a bare minimum of effort. FE7's boss can really only be one rounded by getting lucky crits and using a limited attack buff. How is this a debate on which one is harder?
  22. Athos trivializing endgame is really more of a testament to how broken Luna was then anything else. Obviously the game needed you to fight a Fire Dragon at the end because it needed a way to kill off Athos and Bramimond, revive Ninian, and to have you fight a dragon at least once after touting how powerful they were the whole game. War Dragons and Jahn were obviously weaker since they live in this world which they can't adapt to well. Also the war dragons are mass produced and barely more than a few years old at best.
  23. I like to think of Ilia and their Pegasus Knights as a FE counterpart to the Switzerland and the Swiss Mercenaries except on a bigger scale. Ilia itself seems more like Russia due to the climate being harsher and its location related to Sacae (which itself is FE Mongolia). So pretty much a mix of the two which is kind of odd since Switzerland is also Bern. Obviously Ilia has a bigger dependency on mercenary work as it seems to more snow covered but it's probably not snow covered year round. Honestly, I don't think it could function as a country. You'd need a lot of Pegasus Knights and Horses to keep up their work just going by the Ilian Merc units that we've seen so far which would require a lot of food to maintain and a lot of good land to grow that food which we know they don't have.
  24. I totally never made that connection despite playing both games multiple times. EDIT: Ah damnit, double post. I don't know how to delete it.
