Gameplay wise i want smooth transitions between attacking units and being engaged. i feel like SoV does a perfect job with this, where it looks like units are moving into perform attacks etc. I don't want waifu simulator but i know it will return, hopefully to a lesser degree. Maybe have more believable pairings, make the support system overall more expanded than just sit with x character to eventually talk to them. If kids are put into the game, make it like Genealogy of the Holy War and not just some time altering dimension nonsense. I honestly think if they do it like Fe4 but instead of killing off most of the parents make it so some return (some can die) as Jagen type characters. That would make the support and marriage system etc feel way more fleshed out and integral to the gameplay instead of them just going to some magic realm and becoming older then fighting alongside their parents like 5-7 years or so younger. If they return to a conquest style gameplay (limited experience, training certain characters matter, important map design) I would be thrilled but i understand people like to grind in these sort of games. So meet them halfway and put arenas in maps where time isn't a factor. Similar to FE6/7 where you can get your grind on but only with the units you prepared to grind with.

Why is the DLC getting so much hate?
Tsak replied to KoolioKenneth's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
That would actually be some bullshit. And i would be the first to call them out on it. Until then, man does that Yaksha class look dope. Can't wait to promote my full friggin merc team into that EDIT: Also how come no one mentions Awakening DLC straight up making the game easier? Like i can't even see some of this dlc making a huge impact on the game compared to literally Lunatic cheese that awakening had. grinding DLC chapters so your units come out hilariously ready for lunatic+. Just have to make it to the Gate -

Sorry you didn't say specifically it wasn't worth it, but implied random people who you may or may not know seem to be on the fence and are now saying its not worth it based off dlc. Point still stands, its a stupid thing. regardless if you specifically are one of those people or its a friend or reddit user whatever. etc -

Why is the DLC getting so much hate?
Tsak replied to KoolioKenneth's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Dude whatever you believe isn't worth it, go state your opinion with your money. Simple as that. But to say the base game isn't worth it over DLC is pretty friggin stupid. It's not like the DLC kills the rest of the game or makes it unplayable. 3DS games are cheaper anyways so the season pass costing more isn't that surprising, considering DLC for the 3DS FE titles in the past this is really not anything new... -
Why is the DLC getting so much hate?

haha seriously... ive come to accept the days that the expansion that came out 1-2 years later with a ton of content for $30 has long been gone (like Yuri's Revenge for RA2 way back in the day) but its just common practice at this point. im not saying we should accept it with open arms, but also we need to realize that buying or not buying it is stating whether or not you're ok with it. From what i can see the DLC here isn't straight up content ripped from the game, its superfluous stuff that you don't need. But heck if i find out this was supposed to be in the original and they wanted to jip me out of it then i'll be much more wary of my next purchases. simple as that -
Questions about getting the Season Pass
Tsak replied to King Marth 64's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Season passes have been around forever. Basically you get access to all the DLC when it comes out for a bundle priced fee. It usually shaves a small amount off to make you basically preorder the dlc before its available.- 5 replies

Why is the DLC getting so much hate?

People are literally going full potato right now. I get it, the DLC is a bit much and overkill, but you don't have to buy it? Until there is some sort of evidence that this DLC was ripped from the base game (like some Destiny shenanigans where all 4 DLC expansions were on the full vanilla game), you can have your opinions but at the end of the day. its optional content, I really love it, especially the Yaksha. I think the Dread fighter skin looks pretty meh, being able to change that into something cooler is 100% what i'll spend my money on. Starshards are also a neat feature and i will buy that to help save my sanity for rng growths. DLC that helps grind faster for second and third playthroughs? easier grinds for rare weapons etc? like all of this is a non-issue. it takes a lot of the more annoying parts away from the game for a price. Yeah it cheapens the experience, but i'll only use select DLCs for my first playthrough. but if i want to cruise along on my second playthrough with dlc help i will? simple as that, its a single player game, however you want to play it is up to you. -
Did everyone seriously forget that
Tsak replied to LoyalKing32's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
This might possibly even pave the way for an expanded chapter 6. (help me kill time before FE switch that's for damn sure) or even a chapter 7. Honestly its not really a big deal. Sure it'd help if it was cheaper but you guys really don't need the dlc for the most part. Support the developer in anyway you choose, nowadays shit is just hella expensive for the developer and the consumer. So this kind of stuff is greenlit by the big boys up top -
considering how much they are its a bit silly. but im still gonna buy all of them. Idc if shitty dlc practices get us future remakes that i will greatly enjoy. whatever it takes yall

Fire Emblem Getting The Avatar System Right
Tsak replied to wigglepuppy's topic in Fire Emblem Debates
Call me crazy but, honestly i'd rather have the avatar play a more standoffish role. Like sort of how the avatar was in FE7. Have them be the tactician of sorts who happens to be among the real protagonists.Awakening and Fates i felt like with either, the playable Avatar was just too broken gameplay wise, or ended up making the story less impactful. Making them a side character who supports the real main character is fairly easy and doesn't require them to add a bunch nonsense to fit them into the plot. Considering the main gameplay of FE is tactical warfare, them being a tactician who guides the other characters into battle has much relevance. Them being some sort of mage/sword wielder who does all of that and a bag of chips is interesting, but also completely ridiculous. Someone being able to set up battle formations on the fly IN the heat of battle is quite crazy and most every main character would have to be some sort of prodigy with weapons/magic and tactics. That sort of shit is a lot to front load into 1 character just to make them a playable unit. And well Corrin? idk that doesn't even make sense? but neither does most of Fates anyways lets not even go there. -
Gray knocks it out of the park. Upon rescuing Clair? All time top 3 funny moments in fire emblem. His talk with Tobin is just too good

[Spoilers] The ring...
Tsak replied to SatsumaFSoysoy's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
You can forge rusty rings you get. I think Grima drops one? -
I'd imagine an Ironman run wouldn't be that hard considering you have turnwheel. If you didn't want to use that as well....... well... lol good luck. Based on what the RNG might be you could see yourself losing units to a lot of low % crits as i've seen a hilarious number of those just on people's streams
