Most Fates units sounds like they were from Revelation ending, but Fallen Takumi certainly is from Conquest path and Brave Camilla is implied that she came from Birthright ending . Other than variations of same character from different times, they are also taken from parallel worlds resulted from different options, that whatever the characters do, you can summon Heroes from different parallel worlds to Askr anyway. So if they made a version of Eliwood who did marry Ninian, doesn't mean the other copies of Eliwood you summon also marry her, so yeah. That being said, it means they can get away with a dragon roy alt about the canon-ness of it.

I don't ship Ninian x Eliwood that hard, but ngl Ninian's reaction of "I WILL get laid even if it kills me" is kinda funny , also if this is an excuse to later give us a dragon Roy alt I'm in

I mean, FEH thrives in people who wants the crossover of the many FE games and Adrift being mostly alt banner is hindering more chars get in , or as I put it crudely, the "muh new chars" argument. TMS is less about it and is more about of "ewww Jpop idols I'm not nerd enough for this" , while considering it's a game made by Atlus, the gameplay is good, and delves in the topic it's supposed to be about deeply like other Atlus games. TMS banner is legit all new chars, and some people are happy that it opens up chances for chars of the spin offs to get in as well (Like the FE6 manga MC) . In short, people who doesn't like Adrift is ppl who thinks it hinders more new chars getting in, when ppl who likes this banner is ppl who think this banner opens chances for other spin off chars to get into FEH, and people who doesn't like TMS itself are mostly ppl who doesn't like japanese idols as genre itself. It's not that bad, really.

Make the leftover playable chars 5 now, there is two more playable female in Encore, Maiko might be implemented as a dancer (her Performa form looks like Nohrzura) and Miku Tiki is also playable in Encore.But still bad decision.
