    I’m running a +Atk - Res +1 Athena right now, and she’s doing quite well with that combo. She has 51 Atk and 48 Spd with +Spd Wo Dao, Fury 3 and the Speed seal. That’s pretty much enough speed for me, though if I can ever get her Flashing Blade I’d definitely hope for a +Spd one.

    I did the same thing to get ready for the TT. I started leveling her on the subway ride from work, but having her picture constantly pop up when she leveled made me intensely uncomfortable. I ended up just reading a book instead. She’s working amazingly well for me on Lunatic-7 runs (I don’t autobattle until I break 100k), but that art is too much.

    I managed to get a second Spring Chrom and Elise in 62 orbs. Both were -Atk because of course they were. I was thinking of spending a little on this banner, but NOPE.

    I decided to try Infernal with the team of Nino, Ephraim, Athena, and PA! Olivia. Nino killed the blue manakete, Ephraim killed Navarre, and Athena baited and took out everything else. Athena is proving to be a very serviceable tank as the situation requires.

    Any thoughts about adding seal recommendations? I use Guidance on mine(running Warp’n Witches) and the amount of teleporting around is hilarious. I’m convinced the surprise factor helped me get a few arena defenses the last few weeks.

    A lot of dissatisfaction with the game caused me to focus on one unit, to give myself something to do. I settled on Athena. I haven’t played any of the games she’s in, but for whatever reason I really like the bits of her personality that are present in Heroes. I’m also probably one of the few weirdos who actually likes her art. Here’s the start of something grand. She has a promoted +Atk -Res base, and a neutral 5-Star merged into her. She’s absolutely redundant since I also have an Ayra, but dammit, I’m actually excited to build and use her. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this way. I’m thinking of making her besties with Fjorm and giving her the water blessing for MOAR SPEED, but we’ll see about that. I also have 3 more 4-Star versions to promote in the future. If I can pull a +Atk -Hp combo in the future, I may use that as a base, since she’s kinda bulky for a fast unit.

    My 20-ish orbs got me a second Delthea, +Spd -Hp, an improvement over my existing +Hp -Def. Going from 36 Hp to 30 Hp is kind of scary though. This marks the third straight new unit banner where I’ve failed to pull a focus. I’m really glad I promoted the Askr trio now.

    How useful would Sturdy Blow work for him? I have fodder for both and the extra defense seems like it’d be pretty useful over the +2 attack.

    Having had a couple of shitty days in a row, coupled with a bad run of summoning the past two months, I succumbed to temporary idiocy and spent for the 23 orb pack on the Refinery banner. Fortunately, some luck returned and I got Ephraim! Neutral, too. I can now run a team of neutral summoned units: Red: Sanaki/Athena/H!Nowi Blue: Ephraim Green: Brave Ike (wasn’t from the free pull) Colorless Brave Lyn (one from the free pull, AND a neutral summoned one).

    Since the Christmas banner doesn't interest me in the least, I decided to spend some of the orbs I was saving for it to go for Ephraim or Lyn. 55 orbs got me my third Celica, +Atk -Hp. Alas, since -Hp is her -4 bane, this isn't even an improvement over my existing +Atk -Res. That boon/bane combo would have been so nice for Lyn, too. Argh. I now have three unmerged Celicas. I was thinking of saving the extras for Distant Defense, but a +2 merge gives her an extra point in attack and speed. With LnD3, she'd have 60 attack and 39 speed on her Ragnarok-boosted initiations. Tempting, but I rarely use her as it is.

    The way I planned my Tiki was that I wanted to take advantage of her MelonCrusher-powered first initiation to wipe out one unit, then turn her into a landmine that used a Bonfired-Vantage hit to bait and kill another unit before her HP hit dangerous levels. If I ever get an influx of Shannas, I’d like to try out Desperation, especially if she’s near her ally support. Wrath also feels nuts, but I’d need another Nephenee first.

    I really like how she’s no longer reliant on QR to kill things now. I run mine with the Close Defense seal, so she can still tank about as well as she used to, with the added benefit of Vantage. I’m toying with double Savage Blow to make the Vantage attack the killing blow. Mine is paired up with Halloween Nowi and they make a very good pair together. Tiki becomes even scarier with the +2 across all stats, plus Nowi runs Hone Attack 3 when she’s not in Flier Emblem. A max of 61 Attack on her first initiation with 43 speed is nuts.

    Your base attack values are all off by one. It should be 33/36/39. Otherwise, good suggestions. I run the speed build with Vantage instead of Desperation, and it seems to be working fine, especially on arena defense.

    I have a +Res -Spd A!Tiki and I’m considering giving her the +Res Lightning Breath and Distant Defence to make her a mixed ranged tank. That’d give her 35/31 defenses as a base and 41/37 when defending against ranged. I could then also give her the Close Defense seal to cover melee. B skill would be QR so she could actually kill things. This all sounds good in my head, but I have no experience using her, or dragons beyond Ninian. They’d be paired up if this build is made. Any opinions/thoughts?

    If he had been +Atk I would probably consider it. The issue is that my +Spd is so useless on him when there were so many other pity breakers that would have been amazing with it. My luck lately has been getting fantastic boon/bane combos on the wrong units, either fodder (+Atk-Hp Hawkeye/+Spd-Res Hawkeye) or this Seliph here. I’ve been counting getting true neutral versions of desired units as a total success as of late.

    I was pity broken for the first time ever by Seliph today. Yay me? He was +Spd -Res...not like that wouldn’t have been PERFECT for Soliel or Seigbert or anything. This, combined with my nightmare 30-crest run in the arena yesterday, make quitting enter my thoughts for the first time.

    Seventy five orbs on Children of Fate and nothing. Wow. That’s the first time I’ve left a banner without a 5-Star unit. Which, of course, just meant I was due. I’ll wait til the Christmas banner is revealed before I decide if I want to make use of this 3.75% pity rate.

    As a someone who constantly second-guesses himself on resource usage, I agonized over what to use my refining stones on. I ended up doing this: +Spd -Res base with the Spd variant Melon Crusher. I don’t use her nearly enough to justify this level of investment, but she’s been solid for me since I got her and the kit all works well together. 55/41 on initiation, and the combined recoil damage drops her 2Hp from Vantage range, so almost any damage on the counter will activate it. I’m toying with double Savage Blow skill/seal to make those Vantage counters into killing attacks.

    @Rezzy I have that exact Celica with @Arcanite‘s build. It’s really powerful, but it gets a little tedious running her around waiting a turn for renewal to kick in. That, or she takes enough damage for the renewal to not matter in a typical fight.

    My plan was to pull red and colorless, then pull everything if a 5-Star came up. This got me: Brave Lyn (neutral) Same as my existing one, so fodder. Bride Cordelia (neutral) Yay! Main unit I wanted. Bride Caeda (neutral) Merge. Not sure if I use this as a base or my +Hp -Def one. Celica (+Hp -Res) Fodder. I already have a +Atk -Res one. Spring Camilla (+Atk -Hp) Woohoo! Base for merging with my neutral one. I also got a 4-Star +Atk -Spd Leon, my first one. That combo looks good for Brave Bow shenigans, I think? Very weird to get three neutrals in a row, but no complaints. 180 orbs spent, and I have 27 left. I think I’m done for this banner, no need to keep pressing my luck.

    I’ve been staring at the two 25$ iTunes gift cards in my Target shopping cart on and off for about two hours now. With all discounts applied, it’s roughly 19% off. It’d been two and a half months since I last spent any money in this game, and I’m really torn on breaking that streak on this banner. Spending time on a summon simulator has been helping build my willpower, though.
