  1. Chrom was wayyyy overdue. I'm surprised at how long they took for him. Still want Seliph or Lachesis most, but I can appreciate them finishing up the launch lords.
  2. Because Zelot isn't in the game yet. I have Canas +10'd and wouldn't mind an alt but not over a new character. And FE7 can wait as long as it needs to for all I care. It still has way more units in than FE6.
  3. As long as the Lover status is triggered by a prompt, which it would be in this scenario, I'm happy. I don't think many writers are capable of writing a relationship currently existing though. That's why most romance anime/manga or even games with romantic relationships usually just end it at them entering their relationships...like FE for instance, which is just [Enters Relationship at A/S Support] -> [Ending].
  4. Saul is a really cool pick but I would've scrapped this duo for Dorothy/someone else. Don't care about Thea because she's a sister-killer. FE6 absolutely deserved more seasonals so it's nice to see, plus for overlooked characters like Juno and Zealot that's always nice. After looking at the dresses better, they're really bland. Sad.
  5. Shanna and Juno. Not the first fe6 characters I'd have picked, but I'll take it. Hope Zealot shows up so I can see half the playerbase go "who?".
  6. As others have said and as you now seem to understand you can absolutely be a fan and not play these games. I just want to note, however, the common misconception that the early games are hard or difficult to get into is wrong. FE4 for instance is an extremely casual experience that even lets you save every turn and FE3 is pretty simple abd straightforward. Neither are difficult in the least. They lack some of the QoL/UI improvements of even the GBA games but are fairly easy and imo are still plenty playable for someone that's played Sacred Stones. FE5 can be rough to get into for someone new but the Lil' Manster patch includes dialogue that hints you better on the ambiguous parts of the game, and if you've beaten FE3 and FE4 at this point then I doubt you'll have trouble with it. As has been said, you definitely don't have to play them, but you should still give them a shot as they are some of the best FE experiences you can have in my opinion. 🙂
  7. That assumption doesn't really solve the issue. Instead of implying it they could have a casual dialogue exchange on the battlefield through the talk command or interact in the actual story where real events are taking place. This only really works in 3H where they actually have lots of extra dialogue and events for characters to spend time together. And due to the small casts in each routes, students within their classes get to interact in the main story as well. The problem is that this required the restrictive route and monastery setups to actually work.
  8. They should just go to the real world (or the Summoner's world, I should say) after all this and have it be futuristic. I don't care about FEH's story but it'd be funny.
  9. I couldn't possibly understand IS' mindset, so you might be right, but to be fair we never actually see Bramimond use Apocalypse. As far as I know it's not talked about at all in FE7 and only in FE6, where Bramimond is no longer. On the other hand Athos is a playable character that *comes* with Forblaze.
  10. There is nothing that supports do that can't be done in ways that are integrated more with the story. Rather than being the best method IS could think of to develop characters, Supports seem more like they're just there to be easily digestible character development that's easier to write in a vacuum, which is probably why they aren't going away. They're cheap, easy, and you can repurpose a lot of the same dialogue/conversation ideas with this method to make it seem like there's more when really a lot of a single character's supports just retread the same ground. See: the games with near-unlimited supports. Though honestly, I wouldn't mind if they were just better written. I think there are only a few supports that I feel like make the character genuinely interesting, and it's not in any of the games with streamlined supports. On that thought, supports actually feel like they are what they say they are: purely vehicles to show two characters interacting, rather than enhancing the characters of either, which might be why they can be so tiresome to read. I like seeing characters interact, but there's only so much one can take. When you get to an A/S support and the characters express how strongly attached they are to one another...I just don't feel it. I saw you talk about your favourite food in your C, talk about some flaw in your designated character quirk in your B, and suddenly you'd die for one another. Sorry, I just don't feel it. Why even does there need to be a WHOLE conversation just to discuss something minor when that could be expressed in a quick dialogue snippet in the story? That's how writing normally works. Funny thing is, loredump Supports are usually the best ones for me because at least they're talking about something that matters.
  11. I would think they'd take a seasonal slot. If not, I'd gladly sacrifice the waste of space that is Fallen Heroes for it. If it was a non-Nintendo, non-game IP I would absolutely want Madoka as it is my favourite anime. Give me Sayaka.
  12. I just want to see Nintendo IPs like Zelda and something goofy like Mario. Make them funny.
  13. Because Pursuit only really affects combat, and who you're incentivised to pair up for inheritance. It doesn't affect the narrative, the connected world, the overall gameplay. Personally, I am not actually in favour of removing Pursuit, because of the reasons I just mentioned it gives a new huge importance to units that do have it compared to those that don't, and I find unit imbalance in FE more interesting because I'm weird I guess (also big FE6 fan if the avatar didn't tip that off). It is just one thing I would give up if I had to, and I know it's one of those big things people that don't like FE4 take issue with, like the large-scale maps or trading. And I think of these three it is the least consequential to FE4's gameplay, which is amusing to say since it's still a pretty big deal. Perhaps a solution is to add a few more Pursuit rings, but people might just slap those on units that don't need it only to double down on their already good gameplay like Lewyn or Quan. I agree that everything being able to double would make things quickly very annoying with the huge clusters of cavalry in the game, which would force them to change a lot of other things. Though personally unit placement is actually the one thing I do want them to change. I suppose the idea of that was to be like other grand-scale battles and have walls of soldiers ramming into each other but that doesn't excuse them all being blocks instead of other unique formations.
  14. The secret best part of these remixes is that these legendaries that previously spooked me will finally be getting good fodder I can use them for. Dragon's Ire 3 for FGrima, please. I'll take Atk/Res Rein too.
  15. When I ask for a remake, in this case FE4, I want sensible QoL, full 3D cinematics, HD character portraits, a new remastered score, fleshed out dialogue and voice acting. If that isn't big enough of an "overhaul" then I don't know what is. Genealogy without the large maps to simulate the feel of an ACTUAL "Holy War" would not be Genealogy. It would lose all the gameplay/narrative connections that makes you feel like you're actually playing a game about this war. No other FE game does this as well as Genealogy does. Splitting up the maps is not an overhaul, it's a downgrade, nor would it still be FE4 at that point. People that say "I want a new experience, not the same thing" are either completely missing the point, of have impossible standards for what "new experience" could mean. Only a very, very small fraction of FE fans would've cared to actually play and complete Gaiden if it had just been slapped on the eshop and left as that. Shadows of Valentia brought enough new to the table to interest newer fans while not disrespecting Gaiden and removing what makes it so controversial as a game. Could they have added an Avatar, pair-up, supports with everyone so that everyone can get with anyone? Could they have given everyone insane growths (they did buff them though, but not to that level), allowed infinite reclassing with no effort required, made the maps more like a nornal FE game and dropped dungeons because no one would care anyway? Yeah, and that probably would've sold way better. But they didn't, they stayed faithful and didn't just make it more like other FE games. They even added a new combat arts system to make SoV even more unique compared to other games including the game it remade. Honestly, SoV wasn't faithful enough, because it added dumb useless characters like Faye and Berkut for no good reason. SoV feels like an evolution of Gaiden rather than just Alm and Celica's story shoved into a generic FE game. They should do this with FE4 as well. Respect the source material. If you don't want to, then just make a new game with your ideas. QoL for FE4 could include: removal of Pursuit, an overhaul of Arena, skipping/vastly sped up Enemy Phase, vastly sped up Player Phase actions, tweaked lovers system so that people don't get accidental pairings, and more. All of which would drastically change the experience while still keeping what makes FE4...well, FE4. If this isn't enough for some people, then I'm just glad they aren't game developers, let alone developers at IS.
  16. Yes, and to be honest, I never even thought about this fact myself until a few weeks ago. I just thought last years were more interesting and didn't think about why I disliked previous ones so much. But that's why. Plenty of non-Awakening characters: Tanith, Sigrun, Louise, Caeda, Lyn, all the Bride class designs with some minor changes instead of unique designs based on where they're from...really sad. At least Lyn later got a Valentine's alt with a nice dress.
  17. I have no idea what makes these seasonals click, I just want to see the following: TT+ Unit: Arden (Bow Armour) 4* Demote: Raigh (Red Tome Cavalry) Ayra (idk) Sophia (Blue Breath Infantry why not?) Harmonic Duo: FE4 Leif and FE5 Nanna (yes, I'm aware this is basically cheating) (Staff Cavalry) If I could fit Lex in then I would, but I think Arden deserves an alt more. These would be the first seasonals for all these units (Leif at least has his obligatory legendary) so it'd be pretty nice. All of the games these characters are from are also nonexistent when it comes to the Bridal theme in FEH. Last year was 3 FE10 units (one being the duo) and two Fates units, so I don't think the representation here is unfair. Also, I hope they ditch the Awakening bride design unless it's for Awakening units. I don't have an issue with it by itself, but it prevents potential creative dresses they could've made by now, instead most of the bridal units have the same dress with minimal variation. Thankfully last year's brides all had new outfit designs, which made characters like Oboro and Nailah more interesting. If they regress I'm going to be pretty sad. Last year basically salvaged the bridal theme for me.
  18. I want more FE4/5/6 I do not care about anything else. I want Hugh, I want Niime, I want Raydrick, I want Homer, I want Scathach, I want Arthur. Actually, if more SoV means Deen or Rudolf, then maybe I'll care.
  19. But then where else will I be able to use orbs to roll the exact same unit I already have but in purple?
  20. They could just add Reptor or Gen 2 Arvis...but I know IS are cowards. Hell, Vigarde could use Gleipnir because why not. In fact Vigarde himself has Fallen potential but Fallen banners aren't allowed to be remotely interesting. 🙂
  21. That's fair but we're not exactly crowded with sword cavs right now in comparison to lances. Would've been nice
  22. I still think it's hilarious that everyone has to have purple clouds surrounding them just because. Like Dimitri's just there and now he's got purple around him. Same with Orson but I guess he at least has a spirit behind him in his art...? So it's spirit mist?... Also Orson doesn't have the Runesword because...reasons. Don't ask. I am not a big fan so I won't complain, especially since FE4 gets treated with cool prfs very often, but wow is that sad.
  23. He still shouldn't be on the same theme as literal monsters and people possessed by dark powers/evil gods. He's also yet another Infantry Lance, making 3 of his 4 versions that. Who exactly is this fanservice for?
  24. I have no complaints regarding Edelgard, it would've been silly if she hadn't been here. Dimitri on the other hand shouldn't even be a Fallen unit but I guess they had to shove him on there for Edelgard somehow, even if it calls him "Fallen" simply for having PTSD. I don't expect much thought to be put into this lazy theme anyway, but it's always funny as hell to me that the Morgans always have to take up two slots. It can never just be one. And so what's the end result? A focus exclusively for 3H and Awakening fans, lol. Good old callback to the early days of FEH. Orson is at least a new character. Also, it's never sat right with me that this theme just gives IS an excuse to give one less demote.
  25. I am once again asking for someone that isn't an OC. Also, I know everyone's tired of reds, and I know sometimes it's easy to forget, but Forblaze is Athos' tome, don't take that away for him just for variety's sake.
