  1. SS is not even worth saving imo. I think it is clear example of getting to attached to an idea on the devs part if it really was the first route made. If you move a majority of your investment into the three lords than a route with out them is not ever going to work. I don't care if you make the route where you go solo on any path it just won't work leaving a more invested into interest wise area to a lesser one.
  2. Hoping Micaiah, Lyn, Edelgard win. Don't care who wins for freyja vs corrin win. Personally think Dimtri is the worst unit here other than maybe duo Byleth. Both are decent but I think the others do a bit more for people.
  3. I have been going for another henriette but Lif/Thrasir show up more for me. Single copy of Henriette but a +3 duo Lif. I want a far/save for brave Edelgard but don't want fodder my only copy of Henriette.
  4. I think people for Kempf wanted a grail unit on a summonable banner to see what would happen and thats who people rallied behind.
  5. Point 1 I don't think is a given as much as people think. There are people who pulled for Claude, Dimtri and Lysethia and focused more on the other colors regardless of strength. I do think this is by far the more arguable point of the two you are presenting just think that it is slightly closer than most other people seem to think it is. I fully acknowledge that I am probably in the minority here. Point 2 merges can in fact be more useful to people than single copies. I think we can all agree that there are a lot people who wouldn't want to use a particular unit in the top 20. Either out of lack of interest in the character or they feel like they some one that can fill that role already. If a player is already satisfied with there existing synergies in a team or groups of teams there is no real reason to force something new in for the sake of newness. In that spot a merge for more spots is way more useful than the new unit. And in some cases even can be useful to get multiple high merge copies of a unit. I would argue the duo heroes and other non-legendary mythic options (even the ones in the general pool) in the top 20 would be useful to have 2 or more + 10 copies of because of the ability to use them in multiple seasons. Duo Micaiah, Brave Edelgard, Brave Claude, Brave Dimtri, Duo Byleth, Duo Peony, Harmonic Altina, ect. I can see people wanting on both Aether raids or Arena seasons because of their unique offerings. Heck even a single extra copy could let someone go a light version and astra version for someone who doesn't have a merge and just one copy of any of the above. Its not like the only options are merge and fodder.
  6. What people want widely widely varies from person to person. So yeah that argument doesn't work because it devolves into people arguing their needs/want are more important than someone else's needs/wants. Which tend to be some of the ugliest of the ugly arguments you can get in to be honest as they don't have a clear endpoint. Also if one really wants to you could make arguments against literally every unit in the top 20+ being there because worthiness to be on the list is subjective topic that is going to vary from person to person.
  7. Honestly I think we simply disagree and don't see eye to eye on it. Thing is it touches upon a larger point: Money. Most people who make points complaining about being pity broke are usually people who summon more in general because they actually put funds in and actually experience it. Keep in mind sometimes the rng of getting 5*s in general can be very very bad so alot of people wish they had the luxury of complaining about being pity broken. I don't think we can expect the people who spending habits differ wildly in term of FEH to come to agreement on things as both perspectives are different. Which is why I think the only concern should be is how good the units are. All 8 units in the voting gauntlet are great and thats what truly matters. Sure thats true but you can more reliably know months in advanced when the next time Legendary hero x comes back in focus as they officially put out the next time they are coming back pretty much as the banner is running if not before. It doesn't feel as bad if you know pretty much the exact date of your next chance at them. I also think going forward for next year and years beyond that Legendaries and Mythics have a good chance of falling off a bit or even alot from AHR thanks to Legendary hero remixes. Given that they are sparkable alternative way to be summonable to the normal Legendary banners that still will exist. Granted newer Legends may take a while to get into the remixes but we are going to see them in there at some point down the road. They are going to put some newish legends into spice up the remix banners to entice people imo as I don't think they can do endless loops of the originals. Unless they totally abandon the remix banners for some reason.
  8. Sure but as we all know timing of the banner matters alot and at least seaonals and Legendaries can be better planned around because they are more structured and on fixed schedules. I mean look at right now or the last couple of weeks the upcoming hero rises banner (which is going to be great even if a brave unit gets in), an upcoming double special heroes banner, we just finished hero fest, the anniversary banner, ect. Sure this might be one of the more busy months but just because the rerun banners exist doesn't mean the timing of the hero you are hoping for matches up with your ability to go for a unit because of another banner you were also looking forward to. And thats not even touching the issue of going for an additional +1 vs a really good skill fodder to upgrade what you have. I also feel like that the vast majority of players have more than one hero they really really like and want to target when it becomes an option. Say the next banner has base Charlotte on it ( I picked her as she is common hero people are asking for imo) and at the same time some one of their hero targets comes back. If someone was looking forward to both that's really bad timing on the rerun for that player. I don't think this an entirely too uncommon event either when we take into account that people typically have multiple target units and new skills to upgrade there existing targets come out alot. IS very much wants the game to be as it encourages spending to get the units they want so it happens deliberately all the time. Part of my point tbh as to why I don't think its an issue to want a general pool unit. People point out that its a good thing in favor of general pool units that they can pity break you which I do agree with to some extent. I just don't think happens enough to be super worth mentioning as it doesn't happen with enough frequency especially when lower budget players are taken into account. Both the general pool and the mythic/Legends pools have pros and cons. The main pro of legendary mythic banners being the fact you know in advanced when to save up for them. And when taken into account I personally feel like its not a given for either side nearly as much as claimed because the reliability of knowing when it is happening is bigger than people give it credit for imo. Also missing tends to feel a little better on those banners too as what you get on miss is better than a general pool miss as they tend to make the legendary/mythic banners stacked. I think its more important that the unit is good over what pool they are in. All summoning pools have issues and I just think the normal pool isn't as issue free as is sometimes portrayed simple as that. Depends on what Direction future legendary hero remix banners go this is almost certainly changing at least for the legionaries. I could see them sprinkling in a newer legendary or two to make them more enticing. Probably not the newest of new stuff but I don't think we are going to see an endless cycle of the originals either so its likely that they will become sparkable in the future. Granted it may take a bit to get to the hero rises voted ones because there are plenty of older legends but it will happen as long they don't abandon the remix banners.
  9. Unpopular take about brave units and general pool units: They actually can be harder to get than legendary banner units. How many pity break units are there? Its a pretty decently sized pool and you have to hope you get one of the ones you want. You have so many other potential other pity break and the actual banner 5 stars of the the color your hoping for. I know a lot of people with white whale units in the general pool who they haven't ever pulled despite being in the game for years. I understand that people who summon far far more than me are probably going to run into units in the general pool alot and there are some people who summon about the same or even less than me might have seen a unit more often. But rng varies wildly from person to person so I don't think its exactly helpful to use bigger budgets or personally seeing a unit more than other general pool options as arguments against heroes. This is supposed to be a community thing so I am not a fan of thinking everyone has got the same luck. And its not like any of the top 8 units are bad or everyone pulled the same way for there free summon in CyL. Don't get me wrong I do think there is merit in voting for Legenadry/Mythics/Duo/Harmonics as they have their own challenges in acquiring. I just think people put slightly unfair views on general pool units. Just because their in the general pool doesn't mean people have pulled them.
  10. Finally got Mom aka Henriette. Man save skills are so dumb also make leveling so much easier when you can put your entire team in enemy range and still train the unit you want.
  11. Managed to beat the Elincia and Nephnee Limted battle with Team Camilla. Normal, Brave, summer and Hotsrpings.
  12. Hel did so well for me on the Astram battle. Carried the battle so hard
  13. I personally think Thales actually makes more sense or at the very least as much sense as Rhea does as a final boss. I do think he is literally the only other final boss that would make sense though. Hubert in general on CF tells us how much animosity there is between him and Edelgard on Edelgards side. Heck even in part 1 as the flame emperor she says to his face there will be no salvation for his kind. And in the final chapters she actually likes it if Byleth tells Aurindel that killing Cornellia who was loyal to Thales was intentional. He also was responsible for imprisoning all the emperors heirs and experimentation on Edelgard and her siblings which played a big role in making Edelgard dislike the church in the first place. I do think Rhea is a great final boss mechanically and for story reasons. I just think there are a lot of lore reasons for Thales to be the final boss and there are arguments to be made for both to be final boss. No one else would make sense to me other than one of Rhea or Thales. I kind of view it the same way as I do one piece where I don't think there would be wrong answer for Luffy's final enemy to the government or his biggest pirate rival both would work for me. But I do want to see both conflicts though. Just like I want see the confrontation between Thales and Edelgard at the end of CF. I wouldn't mind if they put Thales before Rhea either just as long as we see it.
  14. Overall I agree with this for the most part. I just think AM goes to much into the all about Dimtri side for my liking. I think this mostly is due to the fact the structure of the plot is kind of more about 2 sides (empire vs others) than it is three. If you want to see anti-empire characters of other houses you can take your pick on the three non-cf routes. Blue lion route Petra and Golden Deer route Petra for an example aren't that different if at all. Something more to diverge AM, VW and SS more noticeably would probably go along way to generating interest in other recruited characters without Dimtri being involved. CF has to show different sides to the recruits of other houses you bring by necessity of it being anti church. So even if people you grabbed from the blue lions or golden deer don't show up in cutscenes you still get dialogue that is the most changed when you do encounter them. The situation around them provides something to go more in on that is unique to them. It would be nice to say the same about AM but unfortunately other routes are also focusing on fighting the same enemy so motivations don't change that much.
  15. On the note of Brave Edelgard and casuals I can imagine there are a lot of newer players who either immensely struggle or can't straight up beat her in a fair amount of scenarios so that fact alone can entice them to want to get a copy of her for themselves. If you see a hero that you struggle beating consistently odds are you are going to want that unit yourself and brave Edelgard is probably one of if not the most popular run unit that can cause teams a ton of problems.
  16. Galeforce teams no matter the flavour don't need all there units to always do much some times they just need one unit to do one thing one time and than they can afk and you still win. My duo tiki on my duo Astra team centered around duo lyn for instance just needs to hit the duo skill button one time and then can never move again and I am happy. Same holds true for the amror march hero with edelgard. And I actually think regular galeforce teams can be harder to do over Edelgard. Why because you have to find more ways to get your dancers the space they need to operate. You have one less attack baseline without supports on other units which likely means you need one more tile for a dancer to occupy. Which means you have to have safe space for the dancers to get to which isn't always easy. Also Its a bit easier to back out if needed in my opinion as you can hit two than move to a safer spot to be danced and its easier to rescue the dancers when they are closer to your team. Also guard or other special stopping is more of an issue more generic units imo as at least with Edelgard you know you are getting two hits or one hit and back off. And her base stats are also pretty strong so even if she doesn't one turn she might survive more than other galeforcers. Don't get me wrong you can have ton of success with other galeforce users. Just that there are somethings you get with Edelgard with that you don't with others. She has her unique pros. But anyways I think I am good with disagreeing and keeping things more on topic.
  17. Its almost impossible to have a clump free defense team (which is what matters here as I am talking about her on offense) in aehter raids given you are limited to two rows period for your defense team placement and in Astra season 7 slots to place units in. Also doesn't help that there are structures you want to keep safe like duo's hindrance, healing tower, ect. Placing units to far from others opens you up to snipes just as much if not more than clumping. Not to mention it limits the effectiveness of c skills like drives/hones (mainly joint drive x), bonds, unity, staffs like Flayns. Destroying these clumps that are forced on defensive teams are things duo Lyn and Legendary Edelgard excel at like no other. Also its really not the difficult task you describe to use armor. Yes Armors are not favorite strategies of a lot of people but the ceilings of units matter alot too and the fact you can remove three units with one means three less hits from very scary units to deal with sometimes even more than that if the defense team is set up in a way to allow ton of dancing or there own galeforce shenanigan (Eliwood for an example tends to be a popular defensive team galeforce unit or Legendary Lief on cav line teams). I also don't think the skill requirement for armor is really as high as you are saying especially on Edelgard who is less of a problem with it than others.
  18. For Lyn and laws of sacea if they are going to keep it to enemy phase I think it would be nice if they built in a close counter aspect or something like that because if you are going to have an enemy phase skill as an archer might as well make it work on the most things you can.The tried and true traditional fire emblem game solution to archers still works run up to them and hit them in melee range. And a lot of maps are setup so you get hit in the face by both ranged and melee units at the same time. Without some sort of close counter aspect I fear Laws of sacea will still be extremely hard to setup on a lot of maps as a ranged unit. Maybe it can work out without it but Enemy phase alone makes it skill that is harder to work with so might as well make it work more in the only phase you can use it in. Not sure it will happen though as dc and close counters are something they might not be willing to give units.
  19. There are numerous ways to work around that though in things like Aehter raids. Literally any armor unit and the armor march seal (which is what I have on my Grandscratcher WInter Erika who also functions as a global support for her with her staff and c skill ) and skills like smite. And once your in most teams are clumped together somewhere so even if you are limited to one movement it doesn't actually matter that much. Smite alone fixes alot of the issues and isn't too hard to put on pretty much anything other than staff unit. Even off fire season I have had no issues destroying set ups in ways that can't exactly be duplicated by other heroes other than duo lyn. Sure no attack set up is perfect but there are issues with literally any comp you can think of. All I am saying is she can do alot if you give her a shot and the support to make her shine. Every set up imaginable needs support to make it work to its max. And I think she is given a bit to much flack as unit.
  20. I due hope duo Micaiah gets up in the top 8 as she is so good and enables a lot of stupid things.
  21. Brave axe is terrible on Edelgard its much better to use special support units/skills like Grandscratcher (which I have on my winter Erika) or the couple of units that benefit support partners for special charge (like Velouria or Rafiel) and Heavy blade. Also another galeforce is extremly powerful don't believe me look at duo Lyn sheningans for Aeither raids whos duo skill is galeforce. Edelgard can do the same things without having to worry about duo's hindrance as much (some duo skills are still nice for supporting her just like they would be for any other offense unit). So many AR teams stop working if you can crush 3 of their biggest threats in one turn or lose all their dancer support before they can do their thing. Just saying she better than she gets credit for .
  22. Plz no Dimtris especially brave who is just a seriously flawed unit. Legendary is better but Serios and Chrom are better blue units
  23. I am saying you can pull a 4 star and it turns into bold fighter unit with the new special rate. Hardin for an example who does have bold fighter and is in the special pull rate. So a unit that game treats for the summoning as a 4 star for summoning Hardin has bold fighter. I wasn't referring to Alfonse specifically at all although I probably wasn't clear about that and can see how it would look like my comment would like its talking about alphonse though.
  24. I mean it kind of is with the new 4 star mechanic
  25. If this game wasn't already incentivized to go all offense with things like duo lyn then fatal smoke is yet another reason to go all offense. Not sure I like that direction tbh.
