  1. Honestly I am kind of for it but mixed overall. Adding infantry would then to force them to do something about effectiveness as a whole since it would apply to the entire game.  Do I think effectiveness should exist in the first place yes I do? Do I think it should be as strong as it is right now? No I don't but I also realize that it is a tough problem to solve and I also don't think it should be a super severe nerf just a slight one.

    My problem isn't any of that which I do think is an issue but rather there are tons of different "slay movement type x"  types and its hard for other comps to be incentivized when there are a gazillon anti-armor or anti-calvary or anti-flier units. I get that answers shouldn't be limited but its kind of hard to not run into an effective weapon it seems like.  At least with an infantry effective weapon it would make that a thing all types would have to take into account rather than it ignoring it one group.

  2. Power level wise I do think they fit the CYL unit description. Edelgard in particular with her being the most mobile armor by far.  But yeah I kind of was hoping that they would be more imaginative than just there final classes.  I just really hope that Edelgard is not only going to be an armored axe exclusively other than her base form. Doubt she is getting an alt for a while so probably bound to be an axed armor for a long time.  I don't want fallen versions of the three houses lords tbh but it probably is happening. I want unique unfocused on the game alts for the three houses cast as it seems unlike the other games they are most sticking to the base game with three houses main cast.

    Sure there was the summer banner but the lords only have cannon versions of themselves.

    a potential Colorless tome legendary Levin comes to my mind but that's because i'm biased, but they could also give us a staff legendary hero, such as Elincia or Micaiah

    Eh I think they realized that green and colorless need more heroes in it. There is a reason Edelgard and Hel are coming back so soon on banners in comparison to some other Legendaries of other colors. It wouldn't suprise me if there is a surge of green and colorless for a bit with some blue mixed in. 

  4. 4 pulls away from sparking for the first time only non free pull brave hero I have got is Lysethia who is minus attack. On the plus side both Edelgard and Lysethia are absolutely insane units even at no merges.

  5. Tbh the biggest deciding factor is what happens to Rhea in the no byleth setting. Does it go the way of CF or the other routes or some new changed fate entirely?  Wherever she goes the knights of serios goes. When they don't scatter and go looking for her things like Cornellia's rebellion don't happen (see CF) because the knights didn't lose there leader and scatter there forces to search for her. Which makes the kingdom significantly harder to conquer. Still possible for any side to win just think Rhea is a huge oddsmaker in this because it effects the church faction as a whole which in turn effects other countries.

    Or perhaps it means the people designing the helmets for those games just suck at designing helmets that actually look good and make players want to actually wear them.

    No pretty sure its just helmets suck. Even the "good" helmets don't look that good and I vastly prefer without.  The only time there is a slight change to this is if the helmet in question is used as a disguise it is more appealing then. Pretty sure its just the mystery aspect though. But once they are unmasked I prefer them without no question.

    I prefer to think of it as the standard mmo setting of hide helm is on.  Helmets in general tend to make charcters look worse a lot of the time imo. Its one of the reasons hide helm is such a popular feature in the first place.

    Using Unity is not about consistency of getting stat buffs. Unity is about the consistency of maintaining a tank's stats. A unit with Unity will have always have a net gain of Stat/Stat+5 or more, but a unit with Stance can get a net loss of Stat/Stat-8 (6 in combat buff - 7 debuff - 7 Panic debuff). Unity also makes running bonus buffs viable for super tanks, whereas bonus buffs were not viable before.

    For a super tank, being able to maintain your stats is just as important as having high stats.

    My point about consitency is that  there are times where it does less than other a slots will and for f2p guides not allowing a ton of merges if any that hurts. And against infernal/Abyssal enemies sometimes you need more raw stats and you aren't getting that if the enemy army is pure stat balls with no other effects. So he can be left in weird situations where neither his unique a skill or his unique b skill do anything other than the bond part of unity against enemy tanks with no other effects which probably is going to run into problems in the setting of infernal/abyssal maps.

    Do the other units have problems yes they do but tbh Dimtri makes his own problems more than the others imo.

  9. I largely agree that limiting it to one is really not a going to be more than a little off putting for people as there are going to be picking the other three regardless. I do understand from his perspective though that it makes more sense to focus on one over the other though to cover for people who only get the free unit. He does after all want to make content that is the most useful to more players. Also it is fan engagment to some degree which is good for content creators.

    Well its not like the unity skill is the most consistent either. To get its best usage it requires enemy debuffers to exist and target him specifically with the debuff which again is not conistent in the slightest and is map dependent. Sure the plus to stats is nice but it requires specific enemies to work the best and positioning from his own allies which is do able but can limit how the team is postioned if you want to utilize it. Not impossible to get to work but certainly more conditional and map layout dependent than the others.

    My point is he probably is going to be unit of this batch most often cycled out because of the hit or miss nature of him having more defense or not over a given stage. The other units kits are more self contained thus more consistent to work with.

  12. I have a feeling for f2p guides specifically dimtri is the worst pick. The reason why is simply Blue lion rule depends on having more defense and the units he has to face with the guide content are with inflated stats so not convinced it will be up that often going forward with harder and harder stages. And given that this is supposed to be a f2p guide its not like he can minimize this by +10 him.

  13. Claude and Edelgard are the male and female winners on the banner for me almost entierly on the basis of they can do things no other unit can do. The healing shenanigans of Claudes bow are going to broken in a way unique to him and only him at some point for cheesing out some hard maps in ways no other unit can do.  Kind of like Hel in this regard but in a diffrent way than her. 

    Edelgard is by far the most mobile armor we have ever seen even over her legendary version.

    And speaking of skills ... does anyone else besides me get a headache just looking at the new dumb skills they're coming up with nowadays? There are times when I don't get what it's even saying even after reading it a few times.

    I think that golden deer rule is going to be on Legend cluade.

    Sure but he is still dealing -12 (two minus 6 attacks)  just from base weapon effect.  Also I think his much bigger obstacle is probably going to be her base stats.

    Considering she is probably close to Legendary Edelgard stat wise (considering emperor class is an improvement on Armored lord in Three houses) I can't say I am too worried about Swordhardt.  Swordhardt really all his stats needs stats to be relevant (He hasn't been showing up as much as even his base version) not just against edelgard so it kind of hurts to even have a little bit of stat reduction. 

    Also I think her endkit is going to make this not much of a worry Joint drive res is a good skill but lets be honest if you actually are using her you given her kit is offensive its probably going to be something other than drive res. Not sure what it will be but she is probably going to be used kind of like her Legendary version two movement attacking offensive armor and those don't tend to run things like drive res.

    Every hit after swordhardt's first hit is 80 damage reduced by black eagle rule.  She also reduces his attack and speed by 6 which is not a bonus to her so it gets around lull.

    Edelgard has it the worst in this regard with being green armor units.  Claude is probably going to be the best with most movement types

  17. But yeah I kind of wanted them to color swap as its kind of boring to only get one color of the same hero all the time. The girls kind of really got the short end when it comes to variety sake too as they don't change movement types

    But guy guys we got to talk about the true shaft here: this was the perfect chance for us to get Gatekeeper as the ghb and IS ruined it!

  19. I was hoping for non armored edelgard for once.  Also if they are keeping Edelgard as an Axe unit it probably means Legend Claude and Dimtri are keeping the same colors and weapon type. So no red or Blue archer Claude.
