If this had been last summer, I would have picked the first option without a moment's hesitation. However, this year (going into my final year), I think I have gained a greater appreciation of the value of knowledge in bringing happiness (indeed, as Bertrand Russell said, "There is much pleasure to be found in useless knowledge"). Therefore, I go to school with a renewed sense of purpose; instead of seeing the knowledge from school as pointless at worst and simply a means to an end at best, I shall see the value of knowledge in a new light. *returns to lurking*

Well there's a reason why the only things that I carry on my person are my keys and my watch when I'm out on most days :P

Hi and welcome to SF! Oh, and ignore the kitty thing. It's a fad that will hopefully burn itself out.

There are plenty of girls at my school with flat hair that I consider to be very beautiful. -

Favorite type of tea?

But the orange flavor compliments the black tea so well! Yeah I agree that Oolong is very good as well. -

Favorite type of tea?
Fire Emblem Addict replied to Fire Emblem Addict's topic in Far from the Forest...
Sugar (and especially milk or cream) destroys the flavor of any hot beverage when added. The bitterness is part of the aroma of coffee (much like it is part of the aroma of chocolate) and I feel that adding sugar to it really takes that away. Although I'm fine with people adding sugar and milk to coffee (I just don't do it myself), I am disgusted to see people do the same thing with tea. Blah! -

Coffee is inferior to tea in terms of taste, but it may be better in terms of functionality since it contains more caffeine per cup -

Granted, but your computer/gaming consoles break when you play the ripped games. I wish that I could sleep while standing. -

I'm looking more at hot tea since I really need that jolt in the morning to get myself awake. -
So I woke up this morning and began my normal morning routine by brewing some tea. To my horror, there was only 1 bag left of my favorite Earl Grey tea. I plan on restocking today and I would like to buy another box of Earl Grey. However, it would take be about a month to go through that box which means that I probably will not be drinking any other type of tea until September. I'm wondering what everyone's favorite type of tea is so I can factor that in when I go shopping for more tea today.

Granted, but you can't eat it I wish that every country in the world was a social democracy. -
He's saying that its foolish to use war to settle ideological disputes since the outcome of the war has nothing to do with the merits of the ideologies being fought over.

Which character do you look like ?
Fire Emblem Addict replied to Repulsif's topic in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Appearance wise I'm not sure since none of the FE characters that I can recall at the moment have glasses. Personality wise I think I resemble Oliver (don't run away just yet) in that I am passionate about my pursuits. Also I think I'm a bit more romantic and a lot less perverted than Oliver. I think I can also be extremely naive at times, much like Pelleas. -
Well I guess its because Popeyes is more recent than KFC and therefore had less time to expand. That being said, there are about 20 fast food restaurants within a 10 min walk from where I live (they're all there to capitalize on the fact that a lot of students like to eat fast food for lunch) so getting fried chicken is never a problem for me . However, I do have to exercise restraint and follow my "One fast food meal per three months" rule.

Here's two funny ones that I found about war: "Wars do not prove who is right -only who is left" -Bertrand Russell "I know not what WWIII will be fought with, but WWIV will be fought with sticks and bones." - Albert Einstein
