  1. Really should have gotten this one out earlier, but playing through it was rather draining.

    Spoiler

    AP1GczPklzuJmIsodpFvt6AiXUnrKIGc0lJfA_6K

I open by using the arena to cap out Framme's level so I can

    AP1GczOs8YlMCcNsDAxAxctW60HmCVsqdkUMUWGr

Reset her level without wasting any of the next (two) chapter's exp. Luckily enough she got a high yield match up on the first go, so I can

    AP1GczN9WfKFxnXbVhwJ1u1egohJM-d6h_TpUuh8

Get Alfred this underwhleming defensive one, and

    AP1GczO9JRcUT66vN_JLHD3_MBdBOZQhK-7DkUY6

A classic murder hobo special for Merrin. Getting the three levelup arena round before the next maps is nice. I also make sure to pick up some skills

    AP1GczMdEkeMNZ633yxj9VWlZPP3ftCxetnk_v1h

Most notably spending two novice Books for Anna

    AP1GczPqZubZbMJfL7E7q6Ej0c5lKr_SqFfojkVg

To unlock the last upgrade to Dual Assist+ for my Backup units.

    AP1GczPsRN71gUrGHtkTYa3cSYRKQii-CD7HgByeAP1GczPsuWykFzzM08HWXqtZwEo0CQrLHQPWkw1C

Also upgrade some Canter to the + on those that can afford it, and for similar reasons

    AP1GczNPak74JEtKqO3ak5xQ2YwyBBbmEc_Cw6hd

Start buying Reposition on a few folks that can fit it in, on Rosado, TeeHee, and Fogado specificallly (but I will spare you more repetitive skill images).

    AP1GczNNBhMH6iRHwMQKjVkvqiAxRBLDu1sD-OK_

Look Marni, I am about as surprised by this development as you, as nothing has really indicated we would be anything other than enemies before now, but I guess we have to choke down some sympathetic backstory for you moments before your death, so

    AP1GczPahzJ_K34zYbG-m6M1j3mQm7lOId72js9m

We are chasing after the real bad guys with their refuse this time.

    AP1GczP6VLaqTypGj_STMjwZDQ5J2Sz68ovuMLic

To an unjust extreme? More like a stupid extreme, as leaving the both of you in a state where you couldn't escape our army is about to prove itself to be the disaster it should be.

    AP1GczMtw5IBFooI6ZHSSH6IZk8MiUgSPSdphdA0

Don't worry too much Mauvier, TeeHee took quite a few courses from the Corrin naivete school (hence all the letting the defeated baddies go multiple times), plus we have the fire power to prevent you too goobers from causing much trouble on your lonesomes.

    AP1GczMqpkep9c0uYm-ETW8zbKQEXIpw0JvuoKsg

Yeah, I am not the biggest fan of this whole half baked friends to enemies thing with you, as they only really setup Veyle to make it believable...well I guess Mauvier has a believable conditional betrayal, as he is setup as the kind of person whose loyalties side with Veyle.

    AP1GczP-pSO5mNYxS4EG-eTf_gdIezaU9-SUEtaKAP1GczPpEOWjOxiQfj58Zdqk1QdXgidiKVIRxPC7

I do like this exchange though, with Marni recognizing what TeeHee is saying gently.

    AP1GczNJf2hRc6iy6WNi-De03Dl3MFmZNHU9H8hy

I do appreciate that they go through the effort of showing that we have clued our interlopers in on the whole TeeHee soap opera situation, before they start voicing their opinions on it.

    AP1GczM3kuSJBM8zmBN1mAWzrspnRodexNAtA8AO

They even get into some of the nitty gritty details like this. I rather appreciate that they aren't just skipping past this, and instead lets us see her reaction to this news.

    AP1GczOhbmpsFjPb1uGkIttIDhplVWGkq59PTXxm

It is odd that they left someone so in the loop behind, where they could be very easily captured...

    AP1GczN-BBi-fCI8ZGe6F1b5D1EunfcR6XiuyZmy

It feels very strange to describe a land as wicked, but I guess that is his way of trying to distinguish the blessing of the Divine Dragon on the land from the blessing of the Fell Dragon.

    AP1GczMv_Fa1x9fsNmYpJuP6ES3UznBR7Mzl0TYI

It does come across as very odd that Lumera was using her Divine Dragon power to keep a literal land mass from existing.

    AP1GczMB6hNG5rwllhyd3TFUHZfDd64NbUUyJHGU

It baffles me even further that they just left someone with so much vital information just unconscious in the middle of castle the enemy was about to capture. Why didn't the hounds have an escape plan for at least keeping the unconscious pair from being easily captured and interrogated, let alone easily betray them like Mauvier did, especially as the result of them being punished.

    AP1GczPCHPelHkDCmD1TmnQ5Z1Mcg_m4vDIK15qT

...Of course there are other worlds TeeHee, the Emblems have been talking about coming from other worlds at like every paralogue.

    AP1GczN6_b73uz3_KzLtsj-ZX7uqqRG9nYyD1JPs

I guess it is nice that they drop this detail at least a little before it becomes relevant, and adds another reason for Sombron to call his last remaining daughter a defect.

    AP1GczNHmn34SpGAdh1l87mes2Z-YZGeVFrKYL7_

It is interesting how they frame the summoning of Emblems on being dependent on the summoner remembering them. That is what TeeHee always felt to start their summoning, and here it is mildly tied to Veyle not being able to.

    AP1GczMD2wKW6CLAFWP1dPqaOPpfSQ3lG2PEP3DG

The cruel consequences of Lumera's hard won peace, even if she would have probably never wanted Veyle hurt, if knew about her at all.

    AP1GczOdbMJUopOA1S5o_k6MdradYC_5Z6l7cwcn

It is funny how she is protected by villains that she would eventually end up opposing.

    AP1GczPa_TtBT0XwgAY0Kh2D_MHg12nWI4YulG36

Also how she just casually power naps through the lifespan of the humans that first found her.

    AP1GczM2c6UPG7_MTe8MIgSeYE6lmHSdxEU8DU9a

Poor girl was looking for comfort from all the wrong places, thinking that monster would act like a father.

    AP1GczOwKRw52M4cYPKtz9jj17r3zF6F4Rq9cH7O

They did mention an important ability she is missing, but as Sombron's noticeably lower skill at creating corrupted shows, these abilities don't seem as universal as Sombron thinks.

    AP1GczOhDZNuWK6jBbrPdJjNVPFQMuC4E6MxCvn1

Plus he doesn't actually care about her having the character of a Fell Dragon, he would much rather just have a pawn than anyone as ambitious as he is.

    AP1GczNT65KwVeQQk-XidM1ciK5PZhUYvqK-lBpw

She just did not care at about Veyle at all before now huh.

    AP1GczPYAVEGvm0sg_m6OuHwGLxPQTTacXQrbcAv

She really thought she was the only one of these villains with a tragic back story? You don't end up working for a world ending evil dragons because your life up to that point is going great...

    AP1GczPAVr2Mt30RNUu05b7a5bV8s99iwJEAkOa-

She really got screwed by the patriarchal forces that favor boys over girls in an extreme sense here.

    AP1GczOi4ElNsEToU3fVbWQAR-JApPU4guE2ACCj

Its not a competition Marni, you don't have to compare your sorrows to hers.

    AP1GczOmXTcnYqa7SFb2b-s91eB4dru1nAVvR9-BAP1GczM_Eg4VGFCp6uo2ZMZ82htYGvrqGM4Jqc4U

Mauvier really failed to read the room with that one. What she needed more than a knight was a friend, and even TeeHee got a friend only shortly after they woke up.

    AP1GczOnhmyjjDygDc6w_BiQzq4-1e14pZx_aQKj

It is a very toxic and dysfunctional found family you have built up in this one.

    AP1GczPMB6Fc-45Bd8u8S8Nl4d_oD3AyJJsPZNjY

No TeeHee, that is just winter. I know you have enough amnesia that this is the first time you remember seeing the trees bare of leaves 😛

    AP1GczPtaH5welwGees7Pg5mHD7YprK62ZZRwJGa

It is all coming full circle. Really it is a bit of a story telling cliche, so you shouldn't be that surprised TeeHee.

    AP1GczPkVZRHzQK7yaq9zbmGlXcOAc7QiOzWV7sR

Honestly, not a terrible name for them.

    AP1GczNxUTjAqabYkcASJXznTGdUDojCclN0aFr8

What were you expecting when you abandoned them injured, unconscious, and undefended in the castle we were just about to capture. If you didn't want them spilling the beans, you should have either killed them, or dragged them with you.

    AP1GczP8A3nf07WD9xfokAha8Fa6Iv2yQjAk5p5O

Mauvier, you white knight shtick of trying to take all the blame for Marni didn't work last time, why do you think it would work this time?

    AP1GczNQCS_Ue5dW-qIA_W3sU1Sg00e4jvYALOZW

She really is taking the Sombron view of family, that children should mindlessly obey their parents into death, and sabotage any effective effort by murdering their siblings.

    AP1GczN9aBZsRIpQco27eRcGyIB1ly8lXry61ZsA

Plus you kind of gave the sadistic game away with the last moronic round of punishments.

    AP1GczMZHgizyESH_wEHiKJ9rFo-uH4oy1stVTYe

But now we get to meet the evil Veyle, taunting us all with her knowledge of TeeHee's relationship with her.

    AP1GczN0G6nY9pCXqL7eTVrzwOPXyuT2pefRjF4U

Really just giving away the secret of your mind control magic there, letting everyone know that removing or breaking the ugly horn hat will fix her. Also, does that imply the weird crescent moon horn helmet on your head is also a mind control device?

    AP1GczPXrn9zYuy8MSPIHmXm-C0J8q_z474wEQPi

Really, were you drinking the Corrin Conquest kool-aid this whole time? You even recognize that the things you were doing were awful, does Veyle only deserve to be treated well if she has a sad back story.

    AP1GczPuh1mJoRfRAy337d4Y0sIoYMbp5omdLgFB

This attempt at redemption feels so ridiculous, like she only now realized that other people might have had hardships in their lives, and thus deserve to be treated like human beings.

    AP1GczMwxX0RQnYbVgbkgi2_hs-AZ4aKssjGjfcl

And then she tries to break the magical helmet on the person she is trying to free's head, by hitting it with an axe at full force. A very stupid plan, that would just as likely hurt Veyle than actually help, and the magic of the ugly horns

    AP1GczO-7XvUqoryXiNP-wRGPV9Ly5KJ8ybdyeGC

prevents it from sustaining damage...or at least only receive damage that is only noticed when it is convenient for the plot for people to notice the cracks she canonically put in it.

    AP1GczMo2A4pI1zMFKNPFWqk7oUqFxZsHz88u9HN

And then Zephia just guts the girl who sees her as family to her very face, killing her.

    AP1GczOkqzhDjjGRxb7ofCKM2QRAKQrNiLrdgKInAP1GczNaP1nzi5V33GpHXT23sEPo74J202c5WaYv

They are doing everything in their power to make sure we get Mauvier to join us in the fullest extent possible with this melodrama.

    AP1GczNpNYdqCqTuMGG-0q6Z3LuLKM_txYzS0PZ4

...I am sorry, this pose, and scene are just too goofy.

    AP1GczPTtphD8SrbEzRztieC9Oc_8dkd8YgNOlm3

But we do get Mauvier to officially agree to join...as a green unit in the preps. Just give him a minute to go full blue on us.

    AP1GczO-7dltH8r3ZoQzKM_vDwN7Z7NAr3zkwH59AP1GczO7vX5LOF8kUjfXrbDh5WBzYHpRxuKfl-gH

Evil Veyle is really trying to twist the knife with these little guilt trips here, but TeeHee has the perfect shutdown for this

    AP1GczN5pW-cmJ-TN0WnJ2D3YgYp65JRoG0xTzjR

    Right here.

    AP1GczNZFHOx3AfeeQ7VmQ0fTANtG_9EGsFAjRRt

Please, we never turned our back on Marth, we just haven't had the opportunity to rescue him yet.

    AP1GczNdBsbsHJ6gB2KDBGFZKKFox5LOHLEPvYiz

I guess this is why Somron's forces failed so spectacularly in the past, what he thinks of as the character of a Fell Dragon is for his children to kill eachother, sabotaging his efforts with moronic infighting.

    AP1GczPqWvjWUSP12kYACprBI7GkPkt4bpfK0lnT

Alright, time for some ring change ups, first I am getting Eirika back onto Framme, but that does leave the whole Celica issue open again...

    AP1GczM_OMVUAwldo2j5-3YXCw91tSJrcUr_FLGa

I guess this will have to do. She does have a fairly passable magic stat, and she doesn't have a dedicated ring at the moment either.

    AP1GczPAl4CqZxqRQQGaiYAsNvGQIXkevhkFvldaAP1GczNOkNpeyS7kKR5VNnmWvHZVxiXKOtMzqg-g

I also start using some of my spare stat boosters, as there is a notable difficulty bump right about here in the story. I am starting with these luck boosts on some of my lower luck units. The only person with worse luck in my active army is Louis, and his very high defense usually keeps that from becoming a major issue, and these two have fairly valid reason to be in the thick of things, and with more middling defense could use the crit avoid a bit more in my opinion.

    AP1GczM2UFw2iBWpeUngF57klmDEmFgQu8TYplL2

Honestly, this is almost certainly a mistake. She is woefully behind on strength, and while this stat boost helps, she is probably too far behind to really save. I mostly just like her utility with her crit debuffing skill, and value as a backup unit. I guess the proc skill helps as well.

    AP1GczNe0DixUf4qtYANZomNE9uU1-UkXt8Xv-k4

This is to balance TeeHee's defenses a bit, and make them even more of a mixed tank. Plus survivablity on the game over unit in any form is a good idea.

    AP1GczMQ9Lj03Zd_zu50PEV1BmMfygvji6jLUpNY

Thanks to the fog and Pairup, the most likely way for her to take damage is from magic, so boosting her res is an obvious move.

    AP1GczOaJ32gJLEmaT0LCi-QsBFMvuXAxuVGRNWF

I was just thinking I would like a little better accuracy on Louis.

I do still have a pair of really good stat boosters left, but I was a little too indecisive to give them to anyone at this point.

    AP1GczPxXdFnMCJ-YGyhI9f2mJUaCK_MpBmSDXd-

After a long hard look at my army, it is sad to say that Bunet gets one last round on the bench here, before we get to the point in the game where max deployment is common.

    AP1GczPwUjHS4vaPC5gINBeLYbsBXzZ5UlBtjbdd

And I do a little bit of fiddling with my units positions in preparation for turn one here. This is a dozy of a chapter, and I am a bit nervous as I ended up having to sacrifice Rosado the last time I ironmanned this chapter...but hopefully I can manage it better this time.

    AP1GczO2tSSWLACFGTVZHCuJmNYlnUiA6IWY2NGm

We also officially recruit Mauvier, although I am leaning more towards Veyle as my Ivy replacement, so I don't plan on using him much...

    AP1GczNjBbUlUFwXKH3FmG-nSJbGFlDowr5_-sf2

And I open with Lindon beautifully eviscerating this first armor in front of us.

    AP1GczOwL_h0QJzfuPXpEm2A0Yv9UfMSKu85Rj-U

Sadly my magic archers can't do that as cleanly, although Anna manages with a Dual Assist+ proc

    AP1GczN_3nN36EW60yDqcqWRapnCaRUbsmCjIL8t

And the even worse off Fogado

    AP1GczPFG2vYMI2cEXr7D5vl7xnJHCZopY_kWcOB

Lucks into a crit for a kill on his end too.

    AP1GczOKY7ebswwpaxNlgGOiRdluahTbAozlyyAx

That leaves the archers ahead of us, and with Merrin going for the chip (and almost getting enough Dual Assist + procs for the kill)

    AP1GczMbJkrfUIjU2bR1vCDDvUvcdY8TAcB0Hv4P

TeeHee goes for some similar chip on the other one.

    AP1GczMO3UYuj_XGqk859WJL-bjKNpf0cNEv6p8w

Fortunately Rosado doesn't miss the kill here, as  it is getting hard to reach these ones in the back here (and the only way to deal with a miss is with my dance at this point.

    AP1GczM6mlyl-GJ-UoNEsjCSK8pQKkLZLjQqvhuF

The last of them is a very reliably kill, and Louis is even in position to

    AP1GczPPDMF5BVNJVLXYsvZhG3r6e8j_kWh9FKBN

Canter ahead into enemy range in preparation for enemy phase.

    AP1GczN_5rg_CnDp0YxJr_6G9xDiRk4WQS-WxsmJ

Thanks to saving my dance, I can even get in

    AP1GczNhK73iVrxjVCc5frzV1AxWoqO7VKawwjDc

A bit of enemy phase fog action as well.

    AP1GczNndDuyFnp7fnndZGZTucEOPem1wI9o-X3Q

We have a fairly comfortable enemy phase setup here, with

    AP1GczMZBsLN-ULk4WN1lcIbYNy-38nonZsz65FX

With Merrin getting from free chip on the swordie

    AP1GczMpEfYG8Tvt1pKCZXAzuDUCHzgC-1EJNNnZAP1GczOZhbmRzYl8KEwZTY2NDj-ZuhBKk2E_06YQ

With Louis comfortably tanking his pair as well.

    AP1GczMNO_ADX6q8jHaAJtFZdvQfzLHenegGOHD_

Although these things are still obnoxiously tanky, taking an effective hit like this...or would have if not for the save from a Dual Assist+

    AP1GczPH8_DoXW8jNLQ5RfpeXD3NozWwvk6etuXC

Which earns her a solid little levelup from that assisted kill.

    AP1GczPUisM_BfyoUzNveq7tNnjl-uNi2T87nMc_

On the uninjured one I have Rosado go from the safe break

    AP1GczPX0zUXOGkwgD_qUbpfLiOB8jkFjKyIsqjE

This is a bit of a random place for me to do this, but I needed her to move (and setup her own enemy phase action)

    AP1GczOtejeg0RyDN8jksef5K-Igdgztnud63f7x

So that Alfred could use her space to go for the kill. Alas the swordie is obnoxiously dodgy, but it doesn't end up biting us this time.

    AP1GczPTGVPnWb5TzxnBxwNufuK3zO-8d7qMqq20

With Louis having missed one of his enemy phase attacks, the overwhelming murderlation powers of Framme proves necessary.

    AP1GczM7XD7MuIY8USjG_H_Sqj7UTfRAs7fwtSbg

I guess I kind of wasted the break here, but she can chip and setup the easy chain attack kill here...but she gets the Dual Assist+ for the kill all on her own.

    AP1GczMhR26CMlYo4vvXos6j7PeBjASUqX-vzCP5

I am rather avoiding the dragons for now, but after

    AP1GczM8ZDaeyNLQDSBMRranKoz-X1NMrghocHhM

Merrin exactly kills all of the horse archers on enemy phase

    AP1GczM-S9AtdKAX8qLhgyxhclIPr6FtSuMVBaAp

I really don't have much else to do on my turn, other than take them out.

    AP1GczO7rU6LBg16qy4y3-7lJmlnJsx4XPKah2rP

With both Dual Assist+ procs, and Sandstorm proc, she gets a LOT of chip in here

    AP1GczNJ1Pi43PhUNv2-ZjSTo_Gtg_CyB3RBrEyU

To the point that it is a much easier kill for Rosado here.

    AP1GczMM7PoFvjGhSPRae3VBmJSyXOUB0nZY-Wvw

As for the other one, Fogado can clean it up after Alfred's solid round of chipping,

    AP1GczP2cskIlRzTHvE3qK_4peICGvKiqAuZtSbo

With Lindon getting this rather nice healing levelup as he helps Alfred with a Physic.

    AP1GczNz4OY_sJdi2nRBsf0F3kMg9cUxHHHLDfZS

We are spread out enough that I don't try to bait in any of the Hound's formation ahead of us, as I don't want to bite off more than I can chew on this map

    AP1GczN5hXIguGiZ4e-QFhV-euvsiN2oHBcYjLwt

Especially when I know a fairly sizable chunk of reinforcements are coming on this map. Admittedly this is the more manageable group of reinforcements, at this point they are coming in a number and rate that I can handle, so I have an enemy phase planned for them.

    AP1GczOny6lGxLSBTics8ZbjSE-Kb8biBZuhhBxA

With Louis getting in a bit of free chip here

    AP1GczPrd6nnOnXv_dAWM-EXnx6_JgmROBYVdrs_

And at least Fogado deals a lot of damage to his.

    AP1GczNGDAPPM3iWI9uJfpLYrtmyQdAe1WIU6HA6

But committing to this plan will bog us down for a fair number of turns here, as they keep coming each turn. I should be able to handle what is here, and setup some enemy phase action for the next group (like with this fogging here).

    AP1GczMZa6tNZQf0p4hiLZU0Pfw9mSSdlYhf6Q8G

Alfred finishes off the archer that Fogado chipped rather nicely

    AP1GczPkf5KIBXBuoPptpnZVOn3uE5kEDdseDbLN

Which lets our archer get in some heavy chi-

    AP1GczPOxmH2QO2AwUw9r5hYGSnJOfR0PhplJTjz

With how much crit he had there, that wasn't all that surprising.

    AP1GczNZnZP432eaT55UFrkekrFr8ihByI2zjKh7

On the other front, Louis goes for even more chip on his enemy phase foe...but he gets the Hero Dual Assist+ proc for the kill.

    AP1GczM8muTZhARbF1vAeM_mWme6NaE6kuoa9ClD

While Anna shows us some rather fortuitous numbers here, able to reliably kill, and tank the Thoron mages from three range with no assistance from support skills...

    AP1GczPcEpSH36Jzoqq0LwLg1va98dRynVvlPleB

And gets a very well earned levelup from it.

    AP1GczPtymvAidSFv14G0huBrNcHwy54ELKP4qKD

Needless to say, after seeing that (and some healing)

    AP1GczOZBq3zCPaGP_Ayrrp6RtUy9IcW_hVZV7-6

I let Anna pull that trick off on enemy phase, with some support skills just to slightly reduce the damage.

    AP1GczMB0uQ_eqc5o4VHZ_HE1lePZNQwYTM5wmgj

While Merrin does some great work on the next archer coming in.

    AP1GczPTXBwusVlE_d10c6dXcPiesCmhprnV44q5

And Anna still has the health to go for a hat trick of 3 range Throron kills.

    AP1GczOZZt8LshJS6NpwpE5QHrWAQfxnRri89PSN

And she earned this solid round of healing after that one.

    AP1GczPmgXIeb2G4OTATfvc9i9IHGqoCSAiTMdre

I let Rosado pick up this kill here, mostly for

    AP1GczM5oukzGaGzVBxopFce7m5YrjyplD9hxuad

    The nice levelup from it.

    AP1GczOr_cZLEeujcUuCiuQVDgkM4zISWN2MWF2H

...Yeah, Framme is a bit of a monster at this point.

    AP1GczM-1ZKHN4HW7kKysjESTaQapMaPmZt4U87M

We are handling things well enough that I let Fogado go for some free 3 range chip on one of the ones that just spawned

    AP1GczP3wus7io2_QO3xA56DZVf8sNj7iCyE5hcI

But after this lucky crit, instead of setting up for the enemy phase

    AP1GczNoMQ-f_fxtxWEMkcjmco4KXHdoIFzXAeI-

    I can dance for the

    AP1GczOxkq9JJAkCD_rioF20U1MMl_MrLTorVGOY

    Entirely free kill instead.

    AP1GczOTufsFxn7BaYQlpOH_sW0Z2nSuJ265HNsj

He can even canter out of range of the melee one on that side, with Anna all ready

    AP1GczNzujOctxkKkdzz7ljSzylRVjnSR0RyGP7q

For another repeat performance on the mages.

    AP1GczO9-AS6WQvDvjnuIYldRl5Zi487u7KLunz1

You have earned this fantastic little levelup so much, for hitting these benchmarks so perfectly.

    AP1GczNJwUjPXYAroelKqgReOLqUSA83OVhxjfdR

Back to player phase, and Fogado sets up the kill

    AP1GczO71uBWMJ020pV25vSn3oDueaKwzyaGmvuz

Nicely for Alfred, without any crits to kill it off early.

    AP1GczPiuGn_KioFmpwbhOeoUZ67PGOhL4o7RwD6

For a fabulous levelup on the lad.

    AP1GczP1NG2kElgAjyy5Um04O5EhDpxbg2_qd7kS

Perhaps I should be spreading the exp on this side a bit better, but why fix what ain't broke.

    AP1GczPR0o3Vuc3fJAWOR_hmszZryclteVRIOaJO

Plus the mages are winding down enough that Louis can get repositioned into some enemy phase action this turn

    AP1GczNI3H-dkUqIoFoG5km-qFqC_qqxcHn19r2W

With just some fog prep on the other front.

    AP1GczN0t5AyD78-l34MIXRWvwnDYosaxYcKc6BE

I swear I remember these reinforcements run out at some point...

    AP1GczO6QDM7ZkQ3IMEXknVCHuGT4pN0eTVAgAZqAP1GczNkwcl-CYGTosSbPhJcKX2Braenfe6UIgJm

I have a strong sense of deja vu...

    AP1GczNrs5ay77OtUl8MFlI8dH5hmUJDnIOLiR0a

It feels like I have done this all already

    AP1GczNRpLjtKf949jjq2Bf6Xg-hbfghS0VAtPG5

Although this time Framme gets a superfluous crit to try and spice things up for us.

    AP1GczOPHAsjQEdLnOMBHKt-pLDX-Max12FkM8Tn

With Rosado claiming another injured archer kill as well.

    AP1GczPxO-Z34C-Ald-XIpnsXC_M7HJuoMHTsfcD

Which encourages me to actually spice things up on the other side, with Panette going for the break on the one Louis injured

    AP1GczMVlVVJ1NOzN-uPslXavuMbXIBhVe06YkFT

And I let Timerra get the mage kill this time

    AP1GczNJCd5Bh6-DCfvSkYXWeAWg9W_hnEkdwsoY

With Louis finishing the injured spearman off.

    AP1GczOtN1U2taCd_knUvJ_eH7oEZza2CvMpBG89

    For a LOL speed levelup.

    AP1GczMOrrf1lh9noK1EyJE64BgxynhptoJZuWY7

But with that we have finally broken through that first wave of reinforcements, and I am ready to bait in the hounds on my next player phase.

    AP1GczPjIuHzKCG5xLf0g6S-piodelItd-OcE5m8

Starting with a chain guard to protect

    AP1GczOj3zvkErkkw0zkoHAp4fOIShOAtURQk4HQ

    Little Anna from the might

    AP1GczNQXRmnPQAVK1OUtOuGcubkD4dHE-Tx6ZQi

    Of a charging Zephia,

    AP1GczMhuqF0YrxT1a1Ei7fEAM2V6p1WU5rUhrOK

I even luck into keeping my guarder healthy thanks to her miss there.

    AP1GczPaS8nXrGko0uZKcJfcQH0xLevQ4zPWmPLG

We have a lot of foes to deal with this turn, so I open with an engage to wipe out one of Griss's health bars

    AP1GczMPNWgTrIFjKZzEDiW-YZCuncW5AD1wK_dy

Just one more map of hounds to bring that back down to 0.

    AP1GczN4a5u3ilfy3eFoTSavx2zPM0csDgaGZVk_

Framme than continues her streak of brutal one-rounds with her punchies

    AP1GczMVWAY8mMTWnhkjl3YABj7btokARzMsLBNN

With Fogado taking full advantage of his effective damage.

    AP1GczPIX-7zUh0cP4fDYUWSOHUhb8AxR2ViC34z

    ...That is rather underwhelming.

    AP1GczOOCnCI5M6vYVBjfZPE6wbn8VdExDcW4Xp1

Very similarly, Anna uses effective damage for a clean one shot with the radiant bow here

    AP1GczN-vI1QFrODRPlYUeW6h0d3FE_yeNI40RqK

With Merrin having to clean out one of the mages.

    AP1GczME_Ol5ybZTgDclaURi0PnuTK_JPA7zM5yP

For the second kinda meh levelup of the turn.

    AP1GczMTXbrBNSyVzen5UidcsuNx_Wvh0XBNB4w_

I might regret not saving this for the boss rush at the end, but it would be very difficult to finish this force off without popping my goddess dance here.

    AP1GczP-uo7Si9NY_NKS7cY-h6aQCaVJYpHo1Ugi

I guess all these meh leveups have had some effective speed in them.

    AP1GczMOk5Z2ryKJvS3bFKQuXQv7m8e4ve0kx9gM

Framme claims another easy one round after the the dance

    AP1GczMsgmJ3mQMVc4tpIH2qU6UHXowhCroK5V8z

While this is to get Panette back to full health to trigger

    AP1GczNkKdUkhhXRgpFLOzffN_LiRrYaOLHQOFfj

The extra hero chain attack on the two bosses in range

    AP1GczNg3uHeCzzjsLHqKpTHpEyb-UbP-BgeIeHB

And thanks to a Sandstorm proc on top of that, our desert princess claims the kill on Griss here...or not quite kill I guess, as this hound still gets to slink away here.

    AP1GczPUMdLwgSRlo8gc6Hr7dsaV_tZW30U0_5z5

Really the extra chain attack matters more for making this kill more reliable here

    AP1GczPy-VJ2qDWh9NuJlRzhlvyZQLVyUBi2qFc3

With Fogado using them to claim the honors on taking down the last health bar on the last of the bosses in the middle section.

    AP1GczPDWCat1WtlDJdu-6xFldaL8uE0SilajA4D

Although that still leaves one last foe

    AP1GczNU3bclBWbIlqn3YAkhvsGiuYvyz_wzPHmi

For Panette to one shot to avoid even the counter.

    AP1GczNc_6vCdB-9fOV96qsuu0EDBq3aybJDKrjj

I even have the luxury of making sure the dragon moves a little with the fog.

    AP1GczN0Gcmrna4G2UtpOu5YaB_pf39vLn5JGkUe

And Seadall gets a levelup as well, although his levelups barely matter.

    AP1GczMo3nERtDEKuI_LL_HyNSgTmF9CqUzflYdW

We made it out of that turn safely

    AP1GczN_kiii2puXDh49rWhXrczitihQgk4Clt3O

Especially with the dragon unable to pierce the fog. As for how to deal with this dragon

    AP1GczMmOsQTflqE8r6DY2KpdNdmGrQLPtq_2WhMAP1GczPTt7ck0lJfjqbi1NozIgPKZ4bpfdYLgc0T

I do a bunch of gratuitous setup

    AP1GczODxtDhQVgduSEk9LRIY3UouQBNWLT5lt6S

To get Rosado the one round on it for funsies

    AP1GczNGMkLOufcBJLRbGkQmmQ4YbZsKnNpq8ZtO

And a fun little levelup as well.

    AP1GczPbNrfJo6xG6wt6gaUigRS-vrDgdl9w2PFZ

Although some wyvern reinforcements are now coming from the rear, so I send Merrin back a little to fog up their progress.

    AP1GczNZH05P-8Ag7b5MXkAKf1PrkJM-X_S6EocS

While  try to bait in the enemy with a dropable dagger, but despite my memory of the group in the back by the boss moving at some point, it simply does not take the bait

    AP1GczOs65I0kjNEZLL8e-aMtz7RjaWtNWjzQx2N

Merrin meanwhile does her job fine

    AP1GczNsoGPAW88h_wSdvMJvIGb_RBwU9I5TOe39

And even kills one a little early with a crit. I hope you all don't mind me saving a little space by not showing all the wyverns wasting their time attacking her...

    AP1GczO8yUNu8-C2GTnIz1V007IoWiFLs8cOasJI

As I have her pull back and fog again to finish the rest of them off on enemy phase. I haven't really focused on it yet, but these fliers are a bit of a herald for some far more overwhelming numbers of reinforcements coming in, so it feels like I am on a bit of a timer.

    AP1GczPo8Eeosf_M1N80uyZgsBf9yhYeQGa751SH

And I am utterly wasting that precious time by trying to get the boss's group to actually move. I have some vague memory of them moving last time I did this map, but my efforts here utterly fail, as I squander this Astra Storm here.

In retrospect I should have used it on the Entrap staffer instead.

    AP1GczM2z955tVzMqWmGDuY1gVy4RtpWHov6tKDO

Sadly I am looking at the annoyingly dangerous one in front of me, that has to fall to finish this chapter.

    AP1GczNdBZ6CudLQlw9uB-ySM4ADIU0RltLoumua

Alas I try to pointlessly bait them one more time here, but I at least setup well for plan C...before messing all that planning up trying to go for a hasty plan B, but that is a tale for next turn

    AP1GczN-zRIp42uWRtCOXzzxNiinhveRbKdASvop

As before that Merrin gets this fantastic levelup enemy phasing all the remaining wyverns.

    AP1GczMVfgxYUVzlu7zdZ11lt4_jjTpDBCWm5QZI

Here comes the failed plan B that forces me to make a worse version of plan C, as I was hoping the doubles being in range of both Veyle, and the Entrap might bait the group into doing something...

    AP1GczMMEcZiaun666geqWPmLKI7zgiJrV1F-EBV

I almost bungles this map worse than last attempt where I thought I could actually weather the overwhelming hoard of reinforcement, whose attack range is already pressing in on us from every side...

    AP1GczP58P8kJw19HR4tB9k3AVccCKaeMAR14qlI

But now I have to go from the desperate move of plan C, a Micaiah warp, into a dance for a second Micaiah warp to hopefully get enough fire power to wipe Veyle off the face of the earth. Unfortunately that means I have to deal with her obnoxious terrain, and the doubles mess up my second warp formation a little

    AP1GczM_YsRybgE3DdIDR20aLRnliVybQR9_m6NG

But Lindon does get an effective double speed levelup from the warping.

    AP1GczPT5kdQ6LRc2QX-vhDuOTACHhfvpszr2Qw_

And I open with a move from one of the ones not warped in, as Anna goes for the kill here so she can canter into chain attack range of Veyle for more damage build up as I go for the kill

    AP1GczMZrSogdakF3C7No10zMShJdJ9UmvmNYrUU

Here is one of the surprising way the doubles messed me up here, as I wasn't actually expecting one of them to be warp, and pushed to the other side of Veyle, so I can't go for the Override without messing up my positioning with Panette. I did get very lucky to actually land his actual hit here, so it was accidentally a net positive, but the override would have been much more reliable damage...

    AP1GczNhdwPeY87yS1y7AaXI7JXyb8iXqmo2hpQi

And that is low enough that I can go for the kill with just the chain attacks here, and that is enough units setup around her that

    AP1GczO2_L-yUD2IuBDnpoaF8a0OMTweHAAeX8xe

The Lucina super proc (that also positions me for another chain attack) is almost good. It is sadly not enough for the kill, but is still a solid chunk of damage...

    AP1GczM7G_UqoKJP8BKZX2Ap-uT8QzchdxH5zaeT

Unfortunately Fogado can't reach Veyle this turn, so the most useful thing he can do is try for a lucky kill on the enemy that drops something, but I am not that lucky.

    AP1GczMKYMonnNe_sxfTB1qAAEwpNTSe1g2J8w6A

Alas, I can't keep holding back with Mauvier, I need someone to trigger the chain attack damage to bring her down to her last health bar.

    AP1GczM1JSEGtZaWJ076iy_UvNGQnfmuTP49y2mH

Plus he has a convo with her, where she is still trying to manipulate Mauvier by pretending she is the real Veyle.

    AP1GczMpvm1hwY-t0qOfziTRqu3RCXksPLlK6Auv

But he isn't swayed at this point.

    AP1GczOehdU6UlOfh4eFZX91lgkA5lbjDqqPNt11

...Is that true, does Mauvier never call the evil Veyle by her name? I might have to look back through my screenshot, but I was not thorough enough with the story to really confirm it if he actually did (but I might have still lucked my way into a counter example that proves he didn't).

    AP1GczOIZqESFBrAGDkLoYapbIwWb7-DfTfcAGh2

Not even Griss would consider that a reward.

    AP1GczMo2RY0s8fCOspmG9y8XCBUPPXsOjZqGcCY

That is such a weird thing to say while fighting her body.

    AP1GczOB0qU_LjfAgeh9jfD5VUVfAt6x0IdMAhId

    🙄

    AP1GczOVzngiLumqIj7gSyOeVDXXCW6ytzlCHqfx

Things are getting a bit tight, but as long as either the main attack hits here, or both of the chain attacks do, I can secure the kill here.

    AP1GczPeG2ccnHMenUi0zltuB76HrVszzKO4OO8T

Which lets me go for some ancillary moves, like letting TeeHee try for the weapon drop. I do slightly regret not trying to see whatever special convo the siblings have with a Levin Sword, but getting an items seemed like the better play

    AP1GczOPVZrnVqoFYpsJHDLaw_NNhYM29oZAoDBC

It even gives them the chance to show off with a critical kill.

    AP1GczMn7rUILNASMGGENcsvzGrUu-MF48kSTa0q

I can also get in a bit of extra experience with Timerra on this last turn

    AP1GczNwd4PBPCCq_flgQKrsZSo4ikI-dpYTAjoV

Which earns her this effective double speed and defense level, which is kind of nice (although she still would love a little more strength)

    AP1GczP8pNHF_iqVktx31Nwv8dCYBp6Fz4VKdjdC

Thankfully I managed to wipe Veyle out with the double Micaiah warp gambit, with this certain super proc to confirm the kill. There were some real lucky hits in there, but I did have a little bit of wiggle room with TeeHee's attack, all things considered.

    AP1GczNufAkgnqcOg9uk5YgnxUTp2u4BKu41DcB9

...Phew, that ending there really took a lot out of me. It seems the ending of this map is always really stressful.

    AP1GczMvFn7idcdLOl9Lqo5PcpbT2rVaQMA8piWV

And little Framme is ready for even more punchy murder with this levelup.

    AP1GczMG70XrtBDpQ4VPzBeBZh8Gm-F2i5qX3k4l

Honestly I am tempted to give the MVP to Micaiah for the double warp at the end alone, or maybe even the brutal pugilism of Framme, but the fog isn't a terrible pick either

    AP1GczMU0dqpkmgnUnNXXxjX-pVec7M9-MyYpUEt

It seems Framme managed to punch some sense into Veyle with that last hit, as she is back to normal

    AP1GczO5Yt7DnMfhRES_ukCJg4wHxYY_dDkBjgFX

And Marni's death wasn't in vain, it just wasn't a complete success.

    AP1GczNZqHFKQX1v1B3Pogt3-LhYAeYizRIf9iDh

And then TeeHee makes the same mistake villains in Dragon Ball tend to, not immediately using the wish they unlocked when they collect all the MacGuffins , and instead giving others time to steal it from under their nose.

    AP1GczNXdcGj3ukcqwtUKMc6JPSCkfMuwkvYrjXA

As evil snake daddy is here to steal
    AP1GczMJA2MuJlhD4XBsZEhmfca3FWLHHiy70JjP

And prove quite definitively why he isn't on the side of any Fell Dragons other than himself.

    AP1GczP4QOy_QH_d16MkmsglnP4ntjgwJGsyH9Uo

But TeeHee decides to take a breath weapon to the face for Veyle

    AP1GczPryrTRq-9Yjb6xSTsCHqbm4Mbs558JOmEf

Which the funny scorch patterns prove is surprisingly effective, if ultimately fatal for them.

    AP1GczPx5nmlK9RQKJ5rygy1W26B3P0ZSPkTwkLB

As they say Sombron, third time's a charm, as this one isn't going to stick either.

    AP1GczOz01XrZHq40DnEdD_aUJFY5iDVJvjnNn4E

It really was rather foolish, but I get that it was a very emotion driven thing, to take a bullet for your little sister.

    AP1GczOwi0DjswA7BWBq8kPEkENGWmVWcaS0tJhy

    Alas that is a promise...

    AP1GczPGYm_MydNpPshh7knem_GpAiuCOMnbx2Ps

That is almost ironically denied them with TeeHee cutting off right here

    AP1GczPIcT9y12dKgwPsV1yXlFLwPpN8z4Zaibwg

But the shattering Dragon Stone is doing enough showing to tell her what was cut off.

    AP1GczN9wnl5dSXK0lcghBsVMf2L5w2BM4aASJvf

And then the hero's incompetence is made blatantly evident. Literally just wasting the wish of the 12 rings on something silly would have prevented

    AP1GczOrzidFlKLPBRIPwcGWdDZt-qinLnG7v63L

This villainous wish here. Although it is admittedly a bit of a silly wish, that his death proves was beyond their granting, as the power they give him is clearly finite.

    AP1GczNPjjqUEh_Zevt-lXvclsZrKHU9n6HzMNGG

Although it does super size him

    AP1GczPPPTGqFfADoKiR3ajfEIW8Y9aOYzOcALG3

    And resummon Gradlon

    AP1GczOv6AztVgKcsCN7AWkbiXuUsyh-t3Vz9bCJ

From beneath the sea. Although it does rise up in a way that looks rather like the place has been submerged in lava while it was beneath the waves.

    AP1GczP7xi8YHYurIjeMg5m9HJ9eHV6f9ey57dwS

It also supposedly repowers the damaged horn hat of mind control...

    AP1GczOA8ncwHguWpt0_-MX1b9cpZJFbNzVFJ4uP

Although as next chapter will show, its more in Veyle's head.

    AP1GczMkCjBMtwrQVa_Ky31uiY6oeMC6S4p01ixu

But for now, Evil Veyle gets to claim her victory once more

    AP1GczPvfxGgfK7q_EVzsQD8lj2S0-EsAsdNsjhB

As we fade to black on her ready to wipe out the remaining heroes with an army of freshly spawned corrupted

    AP1GczPfYo2DuTM9452CTS9F7HEkDLydzX4AMmXw

And all our powerful Emblems useless without TeeHee to reawaken them...

Thankfully the game lets you save between this two parter of a map, because that was so draining that I have left it at that save point for like a week now. I will try to reach the checkpoint by the weekend, although I don't know when I will get my writeup for it up.

I finally started what take my leave for: Persona 3 ReloadStill, kinda feel bad for not starting a series replay before it. I'm currently in July but I can already say that it's a practically perfect remake. They fixed all the problems of the original without changing the core of the game, and to boot in general Reload is more difficult and better designed than 5 Royal.

OOoh, have fun. Persona 3 is by far my favorite of the Persona games, and it sounds like it is going well for you! I haven't gotten around to getting the remake yet (and will probably wait til a Steam sale to do so), but it is nice to hear good things about it, which will hopefully encourage other to experience its fantastic story.

I played only for an hour-forty (stopping at the first inn)

Nice to see you get past that apathy barrier to actually start a game. I know I have been putting off a game or two for no real reason myself as well...

plus I should probably get around to updating the TeeHee madness linked ironman LP...

The entire time outside of the opening, I had the volume set to 0. Voice-acting... it doesn't unnerve me, not sure what word I'd use, yet when a story is only beginning, for some reason, it's easier to get into things if everyone is muted than not. -Not that I should do this, but I do, sometimes.

I know I have a tendency to mute games as well, usually so I can put some other audio on in the background (like a video essay, or pod cast or something). Plus I would feel bad if the game audio bothered anyone else in the house.

At a point during the prologue/flashback stuff, I went a step further and started mashing through text, only sometimes catching the gist of what was said. Now, the flashback is pretty short, I was done with it in 50 mins, this wasn't Graces's child arc, which was a tad overlong. Nonetheless, even on the scene that ends this prologue, I was doing semi-furious skipping through text. Which sounds... utterly insane. Why would I do that, when this establishes the lead and what drives them forward?🤨 -Well, I just did.

When a JRPG's story is failing to catch your attention to the point you are mashing through text, that tends to be a bad sign for the story... Although perhaps I shouldn't over generalize like that. I know there are games where the gameplay is what shines so you mash through the story, or it is a story you know like the back of your hands, so you can mash through the duller parts.

    Well, that was fun.

I'm tempted to start Secret of Mana already. Hmm...

I know I love the original back in the day, although it was funnest when I could talk my brother into playing it multiplayer (tragically I never had the adapter to play it three player...). It is the game I think of first for the Action RPG subgenre, and it is a great example of it at that.

The SNES really was a golden age for RPGS.

No worries. I don't think I followed it all perfectly, but the playfulness of the word play made it clear the tone wasn't meant to be cruel.

  4. I find it a bit unlikely, as it is rare for Fire Emblem to have more than two games in the same setting, and we already have Three Houses and Three Hopes. If they were to do it, my guess is they would either go the route of Gaiden and look at another part of the world (like Brigid, Dagda, Almyra, or perhaps somewhere beyond that), or the Awakening way and look at Fodlan in a very different time period, like the ancient War of Heroes, or some war far in the future.

Ah a classic. I know the youtuber Mekkah is open about him being a fan of Ronan as well. I have always made it a point of using a different bow unit each run for funsies, so I know the shenanigans Ronan and his high movement stars and growth can get up to.

Another minor character I really like that I want to highlight is Isadora. She's criminally overlooked among the other Blazing Blade characters. She's a really fantastic character with a multitude of surprisingly varied supports, they range across several different topics that are all personal to her and really define her character. She's one of the most developed characters, but it's understated and hidden because she's a minor character and by the time you get her, you'll probably already have Kent, Sain, or Lowen trained up.

I am glad someone gave her a more thorough mention, beyond my little one line note about liking all the Kinships Bond units was not enough.

The Fates bossmen are funny because I find them all to have just plain better designs than the playable cast of Fates. Same for the generics. Then among the playables, the Corrinsexuals have better designs than the non-Corrinsexuals, who in turn tend to have better designs than the royals. It's like the more important you are in Fates, the worse you look lol

Anyway, all this to say, yeah, Candace is really cool. Again, we need more unconventional designs, body types, imperfect people. Variety is the spice of life, dammit!

Despite not having used them much, I have a real soft spot for a fair number of Fate's capturable bosses. A fair number of them have some really silly thing of note about them, but two I think I will briefly highlight are Nichol and Gazak. Nichol I just find hilarious for how unabashedly and comically evil he is. The man's death quote is literally: "So hope triumphed in the end? Not cruelty? It seems I backed the wrong horse. Alas, no turning back now...". Why this literal cartoon villain is recruitable in any way is baffling in a hilarious way. As for Gazak, I love how he is just casually name dropped in the middle of a paralogue he isn't in, because the noble Arthur is mistaken for this villain because they have that same distinctive cleft chin, despite them in all other regards looking nothing alike, they don't even have the same skin tones to them. Honestly I could add little thing that make me like quite a few of the capturable bosses, but I will stop it off with these two for now.

With Selphina, there isn't a whole lot to go off of simply because Thracia 776 was before the era of support and/or base conversations, and a lot of the cast only got a few lines of dialogue, if even that. But Selphina was lucky enough to get a little bit more. She has a history with Finn through Ethlyn, and her attitude towards him makes her stand out, whether or not the attitude is justified. She gets just enough in the game that I can get to know her character, enough that she leaves some sort of an impact. She's cool.

Another unit I came to appreciate thanks to my insistence on using a new bow unit on every Thracia 776 run. She was the bow unit on my ironman run of Thracia, and she made it all the way to the last chapter, before the last great bloodbath of the run, but her death helped secure my bloody victory. Also, I do kind of like when Fire Emblem includes married characters in it, and her marriage to Glade is an interesting little detail for the both of them.

In Engage it would be Morion and Seforia, to the point I'd probably have preferred them over their kids. Morion's weird contrast between being a warmonger while at the same time a really chummy guy is interesting, and its actually quite sweet how the ultimate macho man is so loving towards Alcryst who's anything but. I think he deserved better then become a moron and die.

Seforia meanwhile is a character that just seems a ton of fun which we didn't get to see much of since she stays in the castle all the game.

It is utterly baffling that Seforia isn't a playable character. They would barely have to change anything at all, and as it stands, she is just forgotten by the story for no reason.

As for Morion, I find him to be a fascinating character due to how the more toxic and positive aspects of masculinity class within him. It is very clear that fatherhood has brought forth this conflict, for example we can see him push past his obvious discomfort with talking about feeling for the sake of helping his children. We hear about him being a monster on the battlefield, a monstrous beacon of masculinity, but we only see the deeper strength of a loving father. It is a tragedy that he can not escape those toxic threads, as he willing kills himself by walking into what he knows is a death trap (he even takes multiple measure to make sure his death wont materially impact his children...), because to do otherwise would be "cowardly".

for riders in the sky, i have a soft spot for Est as i actually trained her against all advice. really needed to know what the triangle combo was about on my first playthrough of my first FE. in addition, i remember that either her or her sisters having some drama with Abel & Cain. by comparison, the royal family of Minerva & Michalis was Always Sunny, I'm Sure

I am surprised I am not seeing more Est like characters showing up in this thread, but it is nice that the original is getting a bit of love in here. Also you might be thinking of how Abel marries Est between Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem, although thing don't end up going all that well for the couple.

I'd like to bring up a very minor Genealogy villain in Clement, one of the squabbling nobles in Agustria. The guy has a total of four lines, but still manages to stand out as an enemy that isn't exactly devious, nor this noble Camüh whose loyalty forces him to fight against our hero. He's just an unfortunate guy at the wrong place at the wrong time: He observes a brewing fight between Heirhein (Elliot and his father Marsaille Bordeaux) and Nordion (Eldigan) and prudently decides to see who will have the upper hand before deciding who to support. The problem: Sigurd is present and he won't go until he has seized every castle in a 100-mile radius. Clement thinks there is just a squabble between two neighboring noble families... and the next thing he sees is a foreign invasion literally at his doorstep, he feels forced to defend against it (I mean, understandable), and five minutes later, he has a Silver Sword in his gut. Poor guy. I just think that, in a series full of dastardly curs and noble Camühses, it's beautiful to see a guy who just takes the worst possible moment to be smart and cautious about something.

Yeah Clement is a great little "villain", destroyed by what would normally be a very healthy sense of caution. I agree whole heartedly

I guess I can add a few more to the pile here with FE7's Legault. Its his history with so many of the villains so very interesting, as despite his very minor role, his  past as a former Black Fang member gives him a boss quote with almost all of them, which gives us an insight into what they were lie before Nergal corrupted the organization. Plus facial scar are a fascinating feature to me that I regularly add to characters when I am able to.

Here is a rare Awakening option added to the mix, with Kellam. I love the joke about him never being noticed, and all the little ways they commit to the bit, by hiding him in the background of an early scene where they know most people will miss him, to the way the enemy AI of his join chapter even ignores him makes it all the more hilarious. I am not the biggest fan of a lot of the Awakening character's gimmick, but this one is a grade A bit, and I almost feel bad for breaking it by talking about him.

Did i miss a secret here both in FE4 and Engage?

This little secret is hidden where Palmark roughly reaches in the original before handing over the Tyrfing. As for FE4 the only real secret on this map is if Seliph personally kills Arvis, he can wait near the water to have a scene with the spirits of his deceased parents.

    Spoiler

But first we have a bit of necessary costume changes here, which was a good excuse to buy the new outfits, and

    AP1GczMR2cOmWdo_kdYLbKXDveKCpgWiTbekeI7q

I let Rosado curl up with this cute little woolen outfit

And I let Lindon get some similar, but far starker digs than what he was wearing before.

    AP1GczMm9fnXYCIqkSS_pKXp29B2ArS0djX_zOcY

And one last minor change by making our master chef Bunet into a bit of a pirate.

    AP1GczMAy_YT5UnW3yf1s-dJ9zhyF2m0N8ox7vzT

We also have some Arena levelups to get through, first Merrin continues her murder filled levelups

    AP1GczMQeO_kJ1u9J4FClwSM9Cimo4ELRlKCr3J8

While Timerra gets one that is a bit underwhelming.

    AP1GczO_G-a3l19kGemtpdfFbRZ0uVlVScIU5xSc

What a strange way to describe the last chapter of the game. Usually that is one where things are wrapping up, returning to normal, not changing drastically.

    AP1GczMsgTMaSxuaoCvPAML3Uyh9p2ExvCbmpevE

Its even a bit odd that they chose the last chapter to represent Sacred Stones, as I think its the only one they did this with. It almost feels like a bit of an indictment of that game, as the last chapters tend to be iconic for most of these games, and that they couldn't find any other iconic maps to call upon for the paralogue...I guess it isn't as bad as poor FE7 which got snubbed entirely.

    AP1GczNdCmgh0_-USNkURVXk--uRKIW33kH3PLdY

Oh Eirika, Lyon was long gone well before you got here, this is just where you removed the monster wearing his skin as a coat.

    AP1GczP4x1IdqeOPvUKWz7jLDGNq0r_o-M3hQNbY

This is such an odd sentiment to see given the way the time crystal moves things away from permadeath in this game, as it captures something far more resonant with an ironman run with this line.

    AP1GczPVOv9Inl1PJQGy4WiU-fPHd7_6or7IthL_

Its easy to forget that Eirka's ring is both her and Ephraim, so its interesting to see the idea that the two blend into eachother mentally like this,

    AP1GczO_PQtIdQZDuqY4xbj23PYy_yiG6MZSdnZIAP1GczNzrEDjSPsOVBIDR4T7f2Jeqle3opl0K5BL

These two ring changes are a bit obvious given my deployment choices (Louis coming back and getting his ring, with Bunet sitting things out so his ring goes to Alfred).

    AP1GczP96twzkgTTjvSvrSf2F9jc5ToTW5t7UkNN

With Eirika on the field, and losing Ivy just before she could claim the Celica ring, this seems like a good temporary finger for her ring.

    AP1GczPjZjbclln3yglk4YMfT90l_QroJ66cKbL2

And here we have our starting placement, before jumping right into the gameplay. Side note, I rather like that we start in the boss's place instead of the players, with Eirika starting where she should. It is kind of a shame they didn't do that reversal with any of the other paralogue maps.

    AP1GczNJTlxkOtCdQBNZ-6MI0x6tslvgrkRWPRiW

As it halves one of those foes immediately.

    AP1GczP05DhjNTVBGxBHptIxCl_21fNqVoK2Wmix

Merrin enemy phases are so routine that I almost miss the first of them here

    AP1GczOjpPFwFzso2b7uPFHNQkNegl90jCoJ_s-H

But I do catch an image of the other one attacking her just fine.

She is just warning us about some flying reinforcements that are a comfortable distance from out army.

    AP1GczPpGKOProMjY5yJXBE-rK6pwWF4S49jgq-U

Although it is time to deal with those thieves, with a 20 range Astra to snipe the one I didn't freeze (fun fact, I need the 20 range so he could use TeeHee's personal to get the kill here)

    AP1GczMLXY9YvXORfui1Upf0tTNGPRUvak30ExvZ

Although I need to cut my way through the enemy formation a fair bit to reach the frozen thief, and this opens up enough of a hole

    AP1GczNjMtsx4_Yrra2U39bTn-0xAFN72pQs71f2

That Louis can engage into the move for the opening chip on that thief

    AP1GczNsEdhRoU0aN_rF4hr8-jI1NANftwVRTz_r

For Rosado to finish it reliably.

    AP1GczPu17d71OMbuX_VjnTqi2vwGQ_SreZVB4Jq

Just in case I have Lindon heal up Louis's chip, as he will be a part of holding the coming line

    AP1GczNjIqcwz2nMb-FvVNwFsaSdEsUVtak-ae3V

As Merrin is standing right beside him with the fog rolling in.

    AP1GczPuXc8d5ctmknjFpw1UArUxDMcBJ44pe44h

    AP1GczPtxX64hJg-_feftAyil33AvhRGUNSmZsWX

So Panette deals the rest of the damage on the one she chipped on enemy phase, but she is just shy of cantering into chain attack range of the other

    AP1GczOlFFyQy5KjUHBb1OE__dqywflZ7mTbgiUf

    AP1GczOpegr7j5IonlnBOn_oL0CLpvBtXEf0h2xr

    AP1GczNqdipw2lZWID44iHUzFXpXYfrft_JLZOEl

With that I can dance Lindon into the kill of this last foe behind our lines

    AP1GczM55RybTHnHSmlb7MT6sGzuRf9A66KbGAVS

But even with a Sandstorm proc, she was just shy of the enemy phase kill and has to cleanup here on player phase.

    AP1GczMYOPuN2srg7ZRfJuxHNrOJx-WlDHJrTPKH

Anna then pops one flier like a grape

    AP1GczN88_ztmJL_0ytZWRX2_lfTmrJp2XHbmaYm

For about the best level she could get for the weapon she was wielding.

    AP1GczMrrjvcdQsGpY2udJ3psZK06qzBGVBUgGv3

Fogado turn another into pink draconic goo

    AP1GczNqeitB2MhKKSDoUkPYb9zsIzwpiDCmYHmC

Although we do also have a wolf to deal with, and Panette goes for a lot of chip with positioning for a chain attack.

    AP1GczPd1v5BVlYaQetI-LJ5CQTxIxnlJ8o2hRfs

I go for this heal to cover a rather unlikely scenario

    AP1GczP4zpsFO45MVU-czrAJCnRl53Y_rVOSao0L

But at least it get him a nice little healing levelup

    AP1GczOLdSLclUGOrUfTp1399JEKCnRQB4Fj-se5

As Framme now survives a double miss enemy crit. I an not that unlucky, and get the easy kill instead.

    AP1GczOjGV1LpbaaK3C9mS07pMDLWuDZWbgvRNUH

I let Fogado claim the dance for the last flier kill

    AP1GczP_3HMLr_vujMr2RyEeJp9GdR71c9oRV9YU

That gives me enough breathing room to starting breaking through the front I have blocked up here, and with Rosado grabbing this ranged kill

    AP1GczMCtYBh8w_FHg3exRHQa5YzupuuBrrpLOPV

I can press in a little with Louis to try for some chip on the wolf, before missing and cantering back

    AP1GczP3if0u0vcxcCmlO-pvU6HaU7Lnm0XuRx3V

So Merrin can trade equip him a stronger enemy phase weapon

    AP1GczP9t1k3putQGvFQhtbRLkG7jEfldOBwKsIi

    Before fogging thing back up.

    AP1GczNMiRRaE_CasAwqzVZ11LdFD02U72Emws1s

In retrospect I should have been paying a bit closer attention to enemy weapons, as a double crit from these Smash weapons

    AP1GczOhiyPYn0eyiEw5v5UVzlea_zyi0LRHK8Ii

Could have actually killed him (admittedly that is just shy of 1 in 250 odds, but I have lost units to worse crit luck before). Also it was entirely an accident that a double smash wouldn't break my formation here (Lindon blocks him from being pushed back again, although the fog was probably enough to keep that from becoming a disaster even if he was pushed back again).

    AP1GczOvTg89cE4gm-2B8kJSIs8ZA8h4pUAf8Egp

Although with the second one actually missing this is even more speculative.

    AP1GczPPeI1M6XtjYNBmUxYMCu_gJFtaq15-ibZo

Merrin meanwhile deals with them just fine.

    AP1GczO46kGAoDUc_5NnWrriuKrwRM7nRcOm8xsg

I open player phase by roasting one of these smashers in its shell

    AP1GczOpF6hKBT5TWEQmK_FO3eyNG7mj-t_uVM3b

He even crits the kill to really show off his creative cooking skills.

    AP1GczNws3JFKmvMfFNoXbm5QMYCAnmtRf6LYPb8

Anna pumps out enough magic damage to kill another

    AP1GczNgHd-EV_0HlqmF0WSKqVyWpQZTP6paLrPr

I am so used to Dragons not being weak to Dragon effective weapons (instead needing a fell dragon effective weapon 🙄) that I almost forgot this would work. That deals with the other Dragon on the field, and really opens up my options.

    AP1GczOYYwbSfYzqG-Gb3iIAOjnQACkH30ukskMX

I have Louis just pop vuln to heal

    AP1GczNIjomVa8Iy6wP5lmB4-VvtYQx4zPaoe3rK

Before I have Lindon  roast the last armor with a dance.

    AP1GczMPVJke6R8UeUIEPPMPJ-bfG0avwZJKzpny

Rosado goes for some chip on that last wolf there, and the only damages it with a Dual Assist proc

    AP1GczPNitJEchsva0ABnWiKePDP2yLUjPc197Ri

But that is enough to get the chip exp for this nice little levelup here.

    AP1GczMS-S3-C8735fho-EkRRNWyIK0HMbAz1cF0

With a little more fog thrown around, things are going rather well so far.

    AP1GczMANrWW1eMGGPxbpGTNdvaBSer90FGtAXsO

Although the dodginess of this last wolf is getting on my nerve at this point

    AP1GczPZswvdkiv-AhR01JlTlB3VVBnLGE3UWsP6

In retrospect, I do slightly regret killing both the thieves before either could open a door, but I have Merrin go for the open here, trusting in the rest of my army being able to kill the wolf.

    AP1GczMj5_ovzuN7MAHQvh_BylJ_wZzq758-fyb2

And I open the wolf hunt by trying for this bit of chip that sets up more reliable chain attacks in the future, and instead get a Hero Dual Assist+ double chip instead

    AP1GczM9R_s5CtJEu_NGAPMxeNNEPblR4LaAJeAE

And in similar fashion I only get in 3 rounds of chain attack damage in with this attack (Dual Assist+ is a very funny skill)

    AP1GczO_QTklQUqZ067RBtI_SOjQlNa8yBIvYEyJ

And thanks to weird Dual Assist+ luck, this is actually the kill here

    AP1GczOWAdhJXj12UDUVakqa2cZSm5OdDs8a1jle

And I am pressing in a bit to secure the treasure, and kill the

    AP1GczN1nFh4UocxnEgoR1iwQ2StjZPx_klUVx7H

Freezer sitting in the treasure room.

    AP1GczOc1hu8di0rCTgtrb6d7_oQk7JzDp_VJYO_

Speaking of which, Alfred opens with some nice chip on that freezer

    AP1GczObwD32U2uIgzqFSuqq0SH_OvJ1PEYvlAbO

This proves to be a bit of a mistake though, as missing the kill and taking the effective hit means

    AP1GczMMMsJ9s9rU5fwsQ8kNgHo7ui5cCU9EqLLs

I have to expend a warp use to fix it.

    AP1GczMcS3ZkXfXZdb86P7QWUruT52miLGZvr_-9

Really TeeHee trivializes the thing all on their own.

    AP1GczNu17qjUn6fKaXpkQbz48WCNrSKmkuah2OR

Fortunately Eirika's main forces haven't started moving yet, so I can

    AP1GczP2GDcNb7u6riCd6k_hvxBLXszvSSXp3dHO

Grab the loot, and spend a few turns

    AP1GczOXBp9dza8GjW-jqjEYxIg3qSxsP9IpfGIdAP1GczO8Pp_Q_IcqTMb1egEO44InafCQ9xzcm9JlAP1GczMkPXb9v9A3LnomW8QYxnxxKtEB_3pDCalj

Repositioning to go for the other chest

    AP1GczOCYmNsXTo35Ht0hsnNWfX1A5n9f2JAm0Kt

With Lindon getting a healing levelup along the way before

    AP1GczOr3Sdw446oZowiytzhsO8EOQlDT-G3FkYF

Another group of fliers spawns in from the other side to harass us.

    AP1GczNSi2wuSNnRNAf1xuLZ3tfAka3JTg3XlGII

Seadall gets a level while dancing my troops around, but

    AP1GczMRlUk-pKEVC8JMUBXCl3gi1YaGgBEw-7JM

I am waiting a bit before positioning for the new fliers

    AP1GczOeOd-WyF9xWNiucfM0340HlLfAhuz2qo6q

And I open next turn by opening the other loot door

    AP1GczMvPjkWbaa8Q00_KXBcEspgUGDnO8mjexn9

And funnily enough all the new fliers have magic weapons, so it makes sense to enemy phase them a bit with

    AP1GczPHEpdGFVWmySc9sBrWegnXDIe--9eCXwdoAP1GczMYBFBNve1l9q9ZOj6WTktrzbsTqFDZkMcMAP1GczOTPhV0XzmPlemO8CB8Xgf5rIbbzaNYHVNf

Old man Lindon here, who does a fine job of it

    AP1GczMkljbLb-FuXOyzUceWogK_dzTYE2sQIk4e

Although just like the last treasure room, this one also has a freezer

    AP1GczNZkt6wiHE72uKshLEWSMlj1nc4-xcg3VWN

And with Eirika's army moving, things are going to get uncomfortably dicey here.

    AP1GczNXTEErvU7rC37I7YF62gg7JcGqNpEeEgJ0

This time I engage Rosado so that two elwind hits can't kill, and this deals enough

    AP1GczOapjVAawpYz8MLRqbbBZfoWJB0fwRPYxVJ

That a Warp Ragnarok will finish it off

    AP1GczOUw8Q4tblhrHcPlxzg2qsPabBnF_3WsZZD

With a lot of hard hitting mobile mages in the mix, and Merrin frozen, I engage Lindon's Micaiah powers to drop a massive obstruction to add a little protection to her

    AP1GczPv-AEd31HIrnf5-8ab2U21bfyhN6Yvg0Xx

I do still have those flier to deal with as well, but with a dance

    AP1GczORHs_sRQ9_WBF5DtvPd91HnPbxjIAq4_fE

    I have enough bows to

    AP1GczNSb17Gy6LAmCATEQN7-ldjR5XeJdczpjLO

Destroy them all in one turn.'

    AP1GczPzMHYaUhcnjUTTaawae_B66FkNZ3YNfkjQ

And I end up breaking one obstruction with this bit of Fog generation, but she is going to need it, as the enemies will break through those obstructions

    AP1GczPLcQ6seSyE-SVhI0EbQtlKv39FR98Wl-Nc

Sorry for the dutch angle shot here, but its the only way I can show my whole army at this rate, as we are in a horribly spread out position.

    AP1GczNnMTZiaFXVqQJTQXLpVLq__NY4itg0Wh55

Merrin does fine against the melee enemies, but

    AP1GczM4c3rI_bCYkTgSRlzvDqhCPCeu-CA9XfGD

The mobile mages do hit hard enough to taker her out, but this first one misses, and the obstructions were enough to keep the rest from reaching

    AP1GczNNARATfzc9-8AwNq0RHeHZgwjhbpsCBPUv

But there are still enough of them to wipe us out, and Eirika has a perfectly accurate super, so I open by trying for this mass freeze here

    AP1GczNnFfkTdPAAh6Bdd4ZYjDQfcEEJAs2NOEjO

Which both hits them all, and earns him this fantastic levelup.

    AP1GczMcJPMa3_Ae9R7JUQIGoWZt2bitOp3gtPeJ

And that lets me safely go for some ranged chip from the room,

    AP1GczP6UBWilvP7Z-oZpypkGdBxdI-BZAtXe3X0

Which lets Framme grab the kill, with both having the Canter+ to get as far as I need them to for my plans with Merrin.

    AP1GczN6lFaNZLEFuKgxlraYfXzvNkzN1rZRYB0_

With Panette only having regular canter, she secures the treasure instead, while

    AP1GczNduaGrbl61ci9mJ37-wE_tW9r7Bt1kmghE

Merrin can get in some chip (which kills with a Dual Assist+ proc from my hero), as all the melee foes in range are frozen, and the mages aren't effected by the fog, and she can canter back

    AP1GczNkdz7LAn59yLBDKSi0VQjyd6tVwXGIiK8I

In a way that is both blocking the door, and out of range of the third mage, so she isn't risking death by doing this. Admittedly I did mess up my Panette movement in a way, as I wasn't planning on leaving her in mage range, but it should still be fine

    AP1GczN_xFbAc_T233k7Zy8QUkgRoUj1jDTzc5GL

As I am intentionally baiting the mages in a way that should keep them from concentrating their fire, with

    AP1GczM8yrD2MOsbGzcNLU9uw2JZfyY58-CYgyGp

Anna in range of exactly one mage (the one furthest back that couldn't reach Merrin)

    AP1GczMLp5UpK5i164RSpEqG2qSwWcS9sETKyX3q

Exactly one mage in range of Timerra here, and

    AP1GczO734u15SwBdu_tuFwkNl5_ZdrT9kebIer7

That leaves one for Panette. Now even if she did proc the 1% crit, and a second went for her instead, she would have been saved by hold out, so I wasn't punished for my minor mistake before.

    AP1GczPBJInz3YjQTA3b57Cnmy8Bd9HR3ZlqD4xf

That is a bit annoying, as I really didn't notice I left her in range of this, but it could have been much worse.

    AP1GczNbFNT4KcTwgxKOpeFZjIYr7XOfFs_jfFBS

Now I the turn open by finishing the last mobile mage here, which then

    AP1GczNz2DV3LvCfKYK992PBQC0keZaYUrDvEATe

Lets me proc Merrin's super to freeze the rest of the dangerous foes on the map.

    AP1GczMuneX4Xkqe-GhyH_69jYEktEe9W_Wb1xI1

And I go for some free chip on Eirika here

    AP1GczNpjzPntFB8CWyHZ0YsB2_aHh0SxlL0vgH0

Which also triggers this adorable little battle convo.

    AP1GczPYvS_3tUY10lz5MmarJySzkrCGRNUi9dV4

Although it is setup as if I just kept Eirika on Rosado, which is distinctly not the case.

    AP1GczPoOIsMv5kIiDAKTjkAZWO4Qfrw4jXSn_vm

    Rosado is just too cute.

    AP1GczPpWYMa-fEZDVMVa-4NkLpjNok4C58zRfHf

Sorry to say it, but your inability to counter is far more embarrassing for you Eirika.

    AP1GczMW4r8qKKOfAg7gL7gWYWTctkTzXK4tkIfA

I then let Fogado break her first health bar

    AP1GczPOLqpj0X6vlhB-UCiLOIgqGYmhKUEqKaUE

For a kind of meh levelup overall.

    AP1GczOPFXby-QOnJgpk1l-OYVHElnuPSHW7_BC_

Now this might seem like a really weak option here, but

    AP1GczPOltsJL4gaNxyyATUS4g4UozR-UDvhuAyM

I am rolling for the Sandstorm procs, and I get two of them

    AP1GczOmkyTFnkwYAh4_qoePTWknNDgkTH2pmLws

For a strength levelup on her...thank goodness.

    AP1GczNOgzeQtu1DkQxngJx3GK_fDR1qa5bEmTRZ

And it is time to press in with a goddess dance

    AP1GczMA81yiHpsgYskZQDCMP7qGNJ5-Xt7SLQY5

Which earns a nice enough levelup from it.

    AP1GczObPRPRNpTyq1QPPGKrXecxfDsBOMf7Gk-Q

Although that is mostly to start dealing with the rest of her army, as she is restrained for this turn.

    AP1GczP37eM1y68zKh1YsO-OwhNDnMbxtR7QHGP8

As these two future rules wipe one off the map each.

    AP1GczPdGDwOpI4EmzuDAoziQm1lQwFStniX8vEw

Lindon is pulling this just because it is the last turn I can, and it is worth a fair chunk of experience.

    AP1GczPRqoza9NqkyhNyOAJvTIqHawD_RRfe37iY

Before I let Louis break another of Eirika's healthbars

    AP1GczMW3d2nLVz60TQwRyi-fRz1niofCaMs34Sm

For this hilarious Speed and Luck levelup on the lumbering giant.

    AP1GczMoFb4SOJN6JPYD8wSp9DACWrjaoMtAydpp

Fogado goes for some long range chi-

    AP1GczPb0i_tlhZ-o2AJmHNgde__lp3tbKYUwmd-

Or he gets a bit of turnabout on the killer edge by getting a crit kill instead.

    AP1GczMO9T-EK6jrAu2pvONhSB-ERVcRY98IdNv0

This was a bit of a mistake though, as it basically ensures I will end this map next turn, and I could have squeezed a little extra exp if I could delay the map by another turn.

    AP1GczO1lw3w6uzIJNXP-bQANMgOIn8G-38w8yMC

As there is a group of reinforcement on the bottom of the map right now that are mobile.

    AP1GczM8z9QYajfPX1Mp8cUEjy-wCv2YVfBf56W9

Also the freezer decide to use a physic instead

    AP1GczPfh94_tXKWXCPAExqBNW6tC_WmaZ36i_vL

Which was not enough to save it from Fogado's bloody bow.

    AP1GczPXP-QNGKX8yJfvCIaAviK3ZxdtQUumawvp

    Especially when it crits.

    AP1GczOxxHb0Zxrm7l4rqebS6ejiHM1Sn7e1OTA_

And with a dance he can even wipe  out one of the immobile healers.

    AP1GczNY-qMT1g7gXVh8FMmA4N1EjIoyXhqfbL5K

Although I can't quite reach those mobile reinforcements in the back with enough fire power to really defeat them, with Alfred getting in a bit of chip with his "super" here,

    AP1GczNbxGNSqWl16iw0WJxusSR37nFVj2UeuZxw

And even with creative use of swap

    AP1GczMNHTo6Hc9jALqRQPQkhQgDthxdTDaBLhsx

To squeeze in one extra attack here, it is not enough.

    AP1GczNXlORVRherJdzRVtdK_irbR0pS3zehWR3S

I reach a point where I have to end the map

    AP1GczO5FEQnGVbDOzzqOAaZ7-iaQUkrPYJHW1zf

In a way that triggers another battle conversation

    AP1GczOXSffl5yESo6JknYTo0sy55opk-SfLAswm

I guess this is getting them a boss kill, so they are kind of right.

    AP1GczMZHeFOcz1yFrZk26Y4gPF-FE1xVwV0p8Eo

Another true statement, as TeeHee still is one of my strongest units.

    AP1GczNbfFA-n9QGvshYcx_vT76k8ifMcjWgDzA3

Fair enough, Fogado generally does a very good job, and I used his engage rather well this map.

    AP1GczPJOcszn4BtKIsWQqKiQnW3hyjzWvqASUSM

🙄 of course they have to inflate Ephraim's ego.

    AP1GczOnOt0mOVhVxSFTPpY5hT3jZNC_WGimNphB

...Boy that statement conflicts strangely with the game, as Eirika having to learn how to handle thing without her brother was a bit of a thing in Sacred Stones. Then again they had to make Ephraim such a Gary Stu that her rescue attempt on him gets reversed into him saving her.

    AP1GczNWel1ZD4D6zCG8_DpilLGtRKd5qw5ZSYnZ

    ...sigh.

    AP1GczMtmRmFzdIZtjO5tja-VvmdmPtxfx0_N6aa

Honestly, I don't think I have used Eirika well enough for her to have saved me all that much. I like how I am using her, but Framme is useful in a lot of way other than combat, and while Eirika help makes her combat hilariously powerful, she often finds other uses for her turn.

    AP1GczNkGMlGei9FryUxtxAhXyWzxpVh8U4PEBeC

...Dragony, Oh Merrin, don't ever change, that is adorable.

Next time I will be doing a story map, promise.

. -But the original Star Fox was on the ultimately-2D console of the SNES, and 64 on the wholeheartedly-3D N64, big difference IMO. I think the choice was justified.

The original Star Fox on SNES was 3D though, one of the first ever, and literally the first Nintendo game to use polygons. It was a revolutionary game thanks to the Super FX chip the thing had.

Alright, time for a controversial Star Fox take, but I always found Star Fox 64 to be too similar to the original on the SNES to ever be all that impressive. It always felt more like a remake than a game of its own.

I actually have no idea. Fox is in it, to say the least, so it clearly counts! lmao

I only watched it played once, so I really can't say, I just wanted to mention it! XD

The comment was rather funny as Star Fox Adventures was perhaps the most controversial of the Star Fox games for the very reasons IO mentions, and a lot of die hard fans utterly hate it for shifting Star Fox away from the genre it started in. My personal opinion of the game is that it is a fine game, nothing spectacular, but it gets a lot of undeserved hate due to it being called a Star Fox game.

The thread I was delaying this time was just because I had to tell myself to stop gushing and just push something out (which my little venting here actually got me to do with my new minor character appreciation thread).

As for Mist, her Making Of profile indicates Ike would’ve been injured at some point, when and how is unknown. Most certainly temporary, I can’t see it being permanent, Mist nonetheless would’ve stepped into the main protagonist shoes, she was perhaps going to be our female Tellius lead, not Elincia as she pseudo-is, nor Micaiah as she came to be. Given the family mystery at the heart of the Beta Tellius story, her having a greater role could make sense.

I would have been down to have a generation 2 style permanent protagonist change. Let Mist be the new lord after Ike's execution 😛

If the Black Knight didn’t kill Ike’s papa, then what other reason would he have to exist? As the mysterious servant of some figure in the shadows? That’s the only other role he has in the final product.

Thus, without additional evidence to the contrary, I doubt the Black Knight existed in Beta Tellius.

They could have just gone full Darth Vader then, with the Black Knight having the big reveal that yes, he is Ike's father...

(although that’d ruin the perfect Beorc-Beast-Bird-Bragon setup of Lehran and the Three Heroes)?

Oh, and Beta Tellius has a much bigger Phoenicis, but no Kilvas. The islands that became Kilvas certainly existed, just as part of Phoenicis. No Kilvas… it isn’t that important for Tellius as we know it. We lose a few Raven encounters in the midgame, we lose the rivalry between Tibarn and Naesala, and we lose a Blood Pact. Kilvas as a later addition makes sense. An attempt perhaps to add some flair (along the lines of the Kingdom of South Thracia?)?

It was always a bit weird how only the Birds split up their kingdoms like that unlike the Beasts and Bragons...although you do touch on that a bit later I guess.

We also need to address the matter of how Beta Elena, if Lehran’s descendant, was adopted by him. She couldn’t have been a baby/young child at the Massacre, unless it was further back in chronologically.

Even in the original it felt like they were fudging the timing of thing with the apostle and massacre incident, so I don't see how this would be all that different.

  11. Now I don't want to anyone mentioning any character you could even pretend to consider a main character or even major in this thread, this for all those Brom, Vander, and Matthis lovers to gush about their favorites minor characters that no one else seems to appreciate. Obviously this is also an excuse for me to talk about a bunch of minor characters that I appreciate, and this is a place for all of you to do the same...yeah  might have gone a bit overboard below, but its fun to talk about the units you like that aren't important enough to generally get much attention from others.

Lets start with one that I am probably the only person that has ever cared about them, the minor villain from Genealogy of the Holy War's chapter 4, the mercenary leader Lamia. The vicious leader of an all female mercenary band (the game even brings out all the obscure female enemy sprites just for her little band), famed for their ruthlessness, and being one of the few minor bosses with a unique face sprite (although it is speculated that it might have originally been planned as a face used for a younger Queen Hilda...). She is just plain cool for such a minor villain.

Moving onto generation 2, I have a soft spot for the substitute unit Asaello, the hitman of Connacht. With such a title, one may think I am fawning over minor villains again, but this hitman takes such an ignoble path to help feed the orphans that he grew up with, and has always had a soft spot for children. As someone who also has a soft spot for children, I can kinda relate to the guy. It is a down right a shame that he was cut from Thracia 776, as he would have fit in there perfectly, but they didn't want to imply too much about Thracia 776's continuity by including the replacements...

Next comes a hero from Thracia 776 with Miranda, and with her being the princess of Alster with a noticeable impact on the plot it might seem like a bit of a cheat, but she is not only exclusive to the least popular route of Thracia 776, but also generally considered a difficult to use unit, and much as it pains me to say it, she is. Really she shouldn't be an optional character, as she makes Leif's disastrous attack on Alster make so much more sense. She has a lot of fun spunk to go with her fiery magic, although it is really tough to get her off the ground.

Another Thracia unit, its time to talk about the oft overshadowed Eda. Poor girl had to come with her top tier prepromoted brother Dean, so no one looks at this young dragon rider, but she is still a flier, and a cool little dragon rider, and I have trained her enough to see her become a powerhouse on her own. I kind of pity her really, she gets unfairly overshadowed by units Thracia showers with gifts, and she is constantly putting the feeling of other above her own, following her brother into exile, and in her ending sacrificing her joy to help Altena.

I am going to cheat a little here, as I would be remiss not to mention my love of the Triangle Attack of Ostia, the three great generals Bors, Barthe, and Gwendolyn. This poor trio always gets trash talked, with the dutiful Wendy oft called one of the worst units in Binding Blade, but they can combine their powers into the automatic hit and crit of a deadly Triangle attack. That isn't to dismiss the over protective big brother she looks up to so much, or that loyalist of knights Barthe. What can I say, its fun to setup the right positioning to maximize my number of triangle attacks, and the more restrictive movements of an armored knight just makes it all the more satisfying when you can setup multiple in a turn due to the extra planning needed.

In a very similar vein, I love New Mystery's Axey boy trio as well, with their silly names, and the jokes about people not being able to distinguish Cord and Bord, with ol' Barst as a bit of an outlier. There the lack of the rescue command adds a whole new layer of difficulty to the setup for them to make thing all the more fun, and they hit some impressive benchamarks with the triangle attack as well.

Time for another trio, as I like all the units you recruit in Blazing Blade's Kinship's Bond. I rather like dragon riders, and that split haired Heath was the first one I ever got the chance to use. As for Rath, the quite horse archer that defies discrimination is an interesting mix that appeals to me. Finally a quick word on Isadora, but it always felt a bit funny that she felt more like a friend of Eliwood's mom than him, and discovering her fiance latter in the game was an interesting detail to stumble upon. I know I am rushing a bit here, but I have been rambling on way too long already.

I think I will jump ahead a few games before getting to New Mystery of the Emblem, with another edge case here, of my little prince, Yubello. A bit of a cheat again as he would be royalty if emperor Marth didn't take all the crowns for himself at the end of New Mystery. He is just my little boy, who can be the best mage he wants to be, and I care about my little boy far too much not to mention him a fair bit here.

It is time to jump ahead to the end of things with one from Engage, my Bouchy Boy. He grew on me, I started using him just because he was one of the more functional axe units, but I found a man that loves reading, even genre's generally seen as very feminine like romance novels, and is sensitive enough to cry when he needs to. Plus he has a fun personal skill if you use him after the early game.

  12. I have tried looking, but I haven't been able to actually find the odds anywhere, and am sadly throwing in the towel. What I do know is that all the vending machines outside the Fortuna Offices have three possible drinks you can get from them randomly (and it is easy to look up which three). As for the Fortuna Offices from what I can tell there are two rolls, one where it determines which three Drinks are possible for them, and then the roll for which of those three you actually get.

On 4/10/2024 at 7:22 AM, Crows n Murder said:

With the amount of money you get late in the game, is their any value to repeatedly buying drinks to try to get a better choice?

There are only two reasons to do so, first there is an achievement for having gotten all 11 drinks at least once, and second each drink gives different units a temporary luck boosts, but the Muscle Drink EX is the only one that gives everyone a luck boost, and is only available from the Fortuna Office vending machines, which makes it by far the rarest, but best of the drinks to try and get.

Its sad how little information I could find. This game is so underappreciated, which I am putting a bit down to it not doing a good job of telling people what it is. I don't think it does a good job of capturing the feel of either Fire Emblem or SMT, but instead really successfully captures the feel of a Magical Girl anime, and I really appreciate it for that odd niche.

Yeah, I miss them too. At least with Benice I feel like I got a sense of farewell, and I know they are going off to college for better things, but I still miss him a bit. @GuardianSing it felt like left out of the blue, leaving mid Genealogy playthourgh, and I was rather looking forward to hearing their thoughts and comments on that game, as well as Thracia afterwards. Theoretically their profile indicates they have been lurking a little, which makes me think it might just be computer troubles or something.

  14. Dratini has always been my favorite pokemon, I even dressed up as a Dratini for Halloween once as a little kid, and have a very old plush, and even a Dartini hat that is now way too small for me. They are the first baby dragons, and such a little cutie, and I love them.

Another favorite is Umbreon, which is still my favorite of the eeveelution. I named one of cats as a kid Umbreon, and she was a real sweetheart, and the pokemon will always make me think of her.

I have a soft spot for the 6 Smeargle challenge (first saw Pikasprey do that one, and tried two for myself), and I still think of my favorite little Smeargle, ol' Euripides. I was naming each of the Smeargle after different notable masters of different art forms, as this poor Greek playwright of a Smeargle was the one stuck with just charm as his first move, and it made him the absolute hero of the team, often having to sacrifice himself to ensure our team of artists could make it though tough early game fights.

I have a very soft spot for Dunsparce as well, due to a Crystal Nuzlocke, where I lucked into the 1% Dunsparce encounter at the very beginning. It being a female when I had a naming theme of Zelda characters, it felt like destiny, we had Zelda the Dunsparce, and I decided then and there to try and make her the hero of the team, and much to my surprise, I discovered that Dunsparce is actually excellent in Gen 2 early game. Rage is secretly a busted move in that gen, and she wrecked the first 3 gyms easily thanks to that, adding dig was enough to crush gym 4, and with a bit of careful team support, she was able to carry us all the way to the last Gym, although due to some technical issues, I never did finish that run (I was using a kind of janky DS emulation of GB game, which janked out a little bit when preparing for gym 8...)

I have a bit of a soft spot for Slugma and Magcargo for two reason, the simplest of which is that my first wild shiny I caught was Magcargo (in Heatran's den), and it was my favorite starter from what is my favorite Pokemon hack, the Pokemon Emerald Trashlocke hack, which simply made the game harder by just changing which pokemon to are available at each part of the game to pokemon that are rarely used for being weak (and keeping you from access the TMs from the game corner).

Honestly, I could keep naming a bunch of gen 2 pokemon, it is my favorite generation, and there were a lot of fun pokemon added that gen, plus they didn't feel the need to powercreep everything back then so they could just be a bunch of weird little pokemon. I do mean this, I am willing to go to bat for a LOT of gen 2 pokes, almost all of them are fantastic little guys, and I am showing significant levels of restraint here.

Togekiss became another favorite of mine thanks to Sunnyside, a Serene Grace Para-flinching Togekiss, which was just a fun thing to play with, and a hero of my HeartGold playthrough. Heart Gold was such a love letter to Johto, and Sunnyside the Togekiss is a memorable part of that lovely experience.

I need to mention what I originally called my Z-Team, as I was planning on using a team with one of my favorite pokemon for each generation for the 6th gen game that never was. Fortunately I got impatient, and fell in love with how diverse the pokemon available in Kalos were, that let me make the team without much serious transfering (and breeding). It was a combination of good, and favorite little pokes, and each are a line worth mentioning with the end team having Dragonite for Gen 1 (and I have already gushed about my fav Dratini), Tyranitar for gen 2 (it was one of my brother's favorite's of the generation, and it makes me think of him), Gardevoir for gen 3 (honestly it is a shame how horny weirdos have made people so judgmental about liking Gardevoir), Rotom for gen 4 (I am a fan of ghost types, and this ghost in the machine is so cool with their multiple forms, and it earned its extra prominence with the Rotom-dex), Volcarona for gen 5 (this moth of the sun is really cool, and even as a little Larvesta those flame like offshoots combines a coolness with its natural cuteness), and last, but for a certainly not least, Aegislash (little Honedge is so cool, and as the kind of nerd that liked swords, a haunted sword is a pokemon that is right up my alley).

Goomy is a friend shaped blob of goo of my favorite type, which made me a big fan from the start, and Legends Arceus making them a secret slug Drgaon is great, love that line of adorable goo(f) balls 😛 .

Klefki gets complained about way too much for such a cute little goofball, and I will defend the little keyring. People would lambast them as a sign of Pokemon running out of ideas when the first generation had things like Magneton...

Rowlet might be my favorite starter at this point. That cute little leaf bowtie on that adorable little owly boy is the best, and them becoming a ghost archer, it feels strangely linked to me. Getting to use them again in Legends Arceus was just icing on the cake for the little hero.

I can't help it, I am going to add even more weird dragon types to the list with the lovable bully burning Drampa, the dragon grampa that makes everyone think of Falkor and randomly normal type.

Mimikyu is a pokemon I have such a soft spot for. The little ghostie fella just wants everyone to love them like they do Pikachu, and I am ready to give them the biggest hugs, and all the praise for the little cutie.

The fact that they made multiple apple dragons feels like a present just for me, but I want to just emphasize my favorite of them, the utterly absurd Appletun, the applepie Dragon. I love that goofball so very much.

As many complaints as I have about gen 8, they went out of their way to make multiple pokemon just for me, with Sinistea as another cutie. I live on tea, and ghost is my second favorite type...

I love weird Dragon types, so Tatsugiri, the Sushi dragon is such a pokemon made for me. The little cuties even have different forms with such bold personalities to their designs, I just love the little things. Heck they even got a notable appearance in the plot of gen 9.

I am sure I could find even more pokemon to gush about if I tried, but this seems like fair number to bring up for now.

  15. Time for some controversial Pizza opinions, Pizzas are at there best when there are both meat and vegi/fruit/mushrooms, when it is a more rounded meal. Really the only wrong way to make a Pizza is when you forget to put all the tasty things on it by pretending a cheese pizza is a real Pizza. Also what is probably my favorite basic Pizza is a Hawaiian plus bacon, so that is where I lie on the Pineapple debate 😛

I propose the erasure of the Skill/Dex stat in future entries.

It serves no other purpose than a lil boost to hitrate, a lil bit of crit and the activation rate of skills, the first of which is dictated by weapon stats and weapon ranks, the second is, well, also tied to weapons and more to wepaon ranks and activation rate for skills... lmao. IS isn´t leaning hard enough into activation rates to not require stupid amounts of investments to make them worthwhile.

Removing it would make weapons and weapon ranks more meaningful and would either force the removal of procc skills, or having them be reworked, maybe in a system that involves activation boosts like Quixotic or new one, again, tied to weapons. All the things it does, something else holds more or the same amount of sway over and the one thing it does have going for itself (well, outside of Luck procc skills) is just kinda not great. As such, why not get rid of this redundant survivor of the 1990s? Lay ´em to rest.

You could give this idea a bit of a test run by hacking every unit in S.o.V into a magic class (or just hack as many pitchforks as you need to do that, or just only using magic units I guess although that is a bit restrictive), as the accuracy of magic in that game is untethered from skill.

I'm sure they can think of some way to make Skill as good as the other stats, point for point.

Although I think it is time to drop an unpopular opinion here, I don't think all stats need to be equally valuable. How many points of defense equals a point of speed is a silly question, even if one of them is generally better than the other, because we don't play these games in general, we are forced to play with the specific things we have. As long as there are situations where the less useful stats have a solid use it all ends up alright. Take what are generally seen as the two worst stats, luck and skill, starting with skill. Having too little skill is still a notable detriment of reliability as you suddenly risk misses that you might otherwise need, and against particularly dodgy enemies (or those that are taking advantage of strong terrain buffs) you will really appreciate the extra accuracy, plus being able to get a timely crit is more useful in practice than it sounds like on paper. As for luck, the ability to avoid crits can be utterly vital against some enemies, and having a luck low enough that generic enemies have small crit chances against you, suddenly pushes an otherwise great enemy phase unit into a more passive role. These stats have their uses even when they aren't always appreciated.

By removing DEX/SKL and correspondingly elaborating on a Weapon Rank/Weapon Triangle System, Weapon stats (Really? +5 hit diff, per ranks?) and more elaborate skill systems you´d make CHOICE more interesting, rather than the brittle swiss army knife stat Dex currently is, which can be increased by, oh boy, +2/5 and whatever Rallie we want to use.

How would this change make choices more interesting in any way? It sounds like you just limit the amount of choice you have by removing the ability to use units with skill stats and weapon levels that differ from eachother. A unit that has more weapon options but is less reliable vs a unit with more restrictive weapon options but is more reliable with chances for extra damage is the interesting choice this change would removing with this change.

However! Starting in the late 1850s, something nightmarish-yet-fascinating-in-retrospect happened in Europe. A species of aphid called "phylloxera" crossed from North America to Europe, and began devouring the roots of Old World grape vines. In about a decade-and-a-half (into the early 1870s), French vineyards began suffering grapevine casualties upwards of 50%. Since these vile bugs were native to the Americas, European vines had no resistance. It was a crisis threatening the existence of the entire wine industry. While some employed harsh chemicals to stave off the devouring swarms, what proved most successful was something very different. They would graft American grape roots to European grapes. North American grapes had evolved resistance to phylloxera, and phylloxera only attacked the roots. Grafting roots did nothing to affect the flavor of the traditional European wine grapes, so it was a win-win. Though some opposed grafting, it is indisputable that American bottoms + European tops is what saved the global wine industry from extinction.🍷

What a fun little bit of historic information on a topic I had heard nothing about before. It reminds me of why I like video essays so much, they are often filled with such random information.

I will start by saying that I only use this site on the computer, so I don't really have the know how to explain things if you are using the site with mobile, but I will help as much as I can.

Spoiler tags are rather easy to use, if you hit the little eyeball symbol at the top of the box you type your response in, it will create a spoiler box for you

    Spoiler

    This is some example text.

Like seen above, and you can click on the space within the box to start typing within it to create the text that the spoiler box will hide. If you see one in a post you just have to click on it to expand it out to reveal its contents.

As for searching, there is search bar near the top of the screen on computer, which you can use to search the forum (which does make me think you are on mobile...sorry I can't be much help there)

Finally, you don't have to worry as much about annoying people with questions on the forums, a lot of us are plenty happy to help out, so feel free to ask.

Knowing the spoilers ahead of time is definitely going to change the experience in an interesting way, as the game is very, very, very aware of where it is going, and drops innumerable cute little hints that you only really get if you know the spoilers ahead of time. You really get an appreciation for how cleverly it uses the narrator being unreliable to both establish, and keep the rules of the world consistent, while still letting the narrator's assumptions mislead you. There is something magical about getting to the end of it blind, but there is also a lot to appreciate playing it with foreknowledge as well.

Presumably they mean rebalance the audio of the voice lines. AP1GczP889cdp9sxZfIC4Rs70CojpJ2UU7DNPMlJ

It is nice to see our protagonist trying to learn from their mistakes, although as we will see next checkpoint, that theoretical caution doesn't end up amounting to much.

    AP1GczMHYzM8Tq3YMKudxb6PJOhcguJzmQKV7sb1

Although that is a nice bit of callback, to reminisce over the last emblem to return.

    AP1GczPPOJZ-y_3byl8Ea-R-IEGzJUDGq90zDRaY

Again it feels like these moments should be preparing for the chapter after this one, but perhaps they thought it would be too on the nose to get this foreshadowing immediately before the big defeat. Also, while I get that they mean we haven't recovered all the Emblems lost that day, we have recovered and grown stronger in a lot of other ways, so this feels a little flat.

    AP1GczOHVKHfcOFFemz5Ni8PR97zXsZ5oLOOI2OX

Time for another big battle of just corrupted and hounds, now with more Fog of War instead of nasty Miasma,

    AP1GczOewpo_plohyNIJrwcObPUOAwN5zJb_olki

I guess this is a bit of a homecoming for Ivy, but with all the people that make the place home absent, it certainly doesn't feel that way.

    AP1GczPYIQO7D66eSz9CrBfC6JvDkG6mrM0ytIvH

It is nice to see Griss so up front about the fact that we get Celica back by defeating him this chapter. No guessing if they will escape with or without the ring this time.

    AP1GczMNnHNHPhizgGsLST3mbbCAcjf0aaAPG91k

Although it is getting to the point that we are basically overwhelming them with our ring advantage at this point.

    AP1GczPDteMhGzPAzvfp3ozS7BSKufZN7DssyoYc

Take a chill pill on the suicide threats there Grisle...

    AP1GczPaXx2VEJa1fi6e-KYBxuFNz4FAIrl2A7zC

It is getting a bit old how they all insist talking about Veyle has to wait til after the battle, but I guess I better get to it...or at least get to my more last minute prep work

    AP1GczO-pFiviU2y2DZCE_lIbq8CFFN4uAkhc7hc

Because it is time to take a long hard look at my party, and realize that the unit that makes the most sense to add to my army after Zelkov's death is actually Lindon. I put it off for a bit (as I have my army set for max deployment, and we are still at least one chapter away from that being the norm), but looking at who would make good use of the Micaiah ring really cemented it. Framme has Eirika for the funny punchy powers, I am saving Celica for Ivy, and putting Micaiah on anyone without a staff rank means I can't use her powers for Rescue and Warp staff uses. Additionally I have been really wanting another magic focused attack, and having a third healer for the three lane back to the future map makes sense from a army composition perspective anyway (the very three lane focused miasma chapter had that feeling too, although I cheesed one lane with the fog to ignore that issue in the end). I guess this decision may be making @Saint Rubenio day a bit.

    AP1GczMrTTl0HrGi65Qy9PG0H4OvvjKEv4hYAJaZ

This ring change up is probably expected, and showing that Rosado is being deployed this map

    AP1GczMT0OjIRVrrCX1t03eXVDpW257hosYwApr-

I am not sure if this will end up being Roy's final wielder, but it made a bit of sense with who I am deploying this chapter

    AP1GczPgdM3q2Vewa8Z_SnHuvd1vNEOvgvJifA7x

Whereas this ring change up is more a result of the rather limited (comparatively) deployment slots, as there is only one slot more than Emblem rings at the moment, and giving the dancer an extra point of movement (and even more with an Engage if I need it) is a use for Sigurd here.

    AP1GczO416zV9n6FO6JUg-k8xPtcGjr5ukujGNye

Speaking of which, this is the deployment I decide upon for this chapter.

    AP1GczMt2jN3qf5TxsjP0TKGRwVNYcsHETL2__M8

Although I go back and get Canter+ on all those that can afford it, most notably I got it on Framme, Seadall, Fogado, Rosado, Lindon, and of course TeeHee.

    AP1GczP7dPJi39oEB1k1_FwPLPM18kXbLgYRRv6I

I do fiddle a tiny bit with starting position as well

    AP1GczMFZe1wInTWKkhskmATuZZUk-dsC1TFPxvr

Sadly Griss's taunt is only true the first time

    AP1GczPwOUz8-qKXnuAQr9GiO5WxP5FZOfeHetbY

As he vanishes into the darkness...

    AP1GczOu7n9qrOliUnpT8QUbwlL2tV4seYnvRTmj

But as a Micaiah boosted Illume reveals

    AP1GczPYBD-49D2d4i-4k43N3-BhqScSkqnEMPac

He appears in the same Sombrom be damned place every time.

    AP1GczPScgAaiYSoJdrzPswiOKFOABMUY1CLRqba

After marking his range, I open by breaking this hard hitting axer

    AP1GczM4sxCgJLHgnYVCAmx-NORO44ha_Vs49p-s

Add in a bit of chip with Rosado before

    AP1GczOryLMi03JxkpT4FOPInM89H59I5VZCRI8U

    finishing with Timerra

    AP1GczPjj9LXIEj1jlvekmsVptvzE5vVPr7c2gBo

There is also this horse mage solidly in Griss's attack radius, and with Fogado being the only one with the range and canter+ to attack him and escape Griss's attack-warp radius, that means I start with this round of chip (which chronologically happened before I killed the axie, but it makes more narrative sense to...)

    AP1GczP7ma-xuwXRQPYqHJO8r63x2len2IsWNIZ6

It makes sense to use the dance to have Fogado finish it all in one go (...show both attacks together rather than split like how I did it in the gameplay).

    AP1GczNJzz3fVJfhpRrE7gCg0kEDp8sWlLP7H4jN

On the other side, I have Bunet go for the opening hit on this swordie

    AP1GczPdmIn9j_s23z5PAIxTIXCfObrzvJ56ZX9g

But after literally all the attack made so far miss him, I am starting to worry this guy might survive the player phase

    AP1GczOEpv02rlZ5YBd2EZeVKgqoOGKtrxRZrTwr

I guess I can forgo fogging to finish things with Mer-

    AP1GczNP844NaE27jzeQR8kFQjOUjyjfleBCyG0C

I guess TeeHee just had to come in and laugh at my worries with this crit kill here.

    AP1GczOCRrCSEDRR7-xrmLUYT0sBUshV5fhLb4se

Sadly the fogging I earned hinder my foes movement enough that there will be no enemy phase action today

    AP1GczMh4iBbkm3_MGcMQR2U97gIGKzHMM8k4Q3N

Although some thieves did spawn in to keep me moving

    AP1GczOizZH403gLacivgsGqx2yomuQVEzTaLZxP

And not all our foes are idle, as this bulk crit axe has come close enough for Panette to go for another break

    AP1GczMAs5LvvN4crNpiuqR9UWwIxCGgamGXdigK

In retrospect, this was a bit of a wasted attack, as-

    AP1GczNnzBbHpYYbFNWn9uhUJL853zxk-HGej41i

Oh right, the battle convo first. Well in this case filling you with arrow holes doesn't really fit any of those guesses, but the real kill would probably fit the mash as

    AP1GczOD2UgF8XzPaKiefA1Ri1cOXXgnu4-uIu9hAP1GczMM6CqCjib3Jhkbjg64Ok5BymFSkVbHAS3o

    With double reposition support

    AP1GczPimkV5ElRlBIylDuN94F3EC5nlsImfQk7X

Framme can punch a whole health bar away by her lonesome.

    AP1GczONGSRa3mXEuB6DBpI-h2mduMBQeHmyGLuO

Which breaks a purple gem to boost Griss, but also

    AP1GczOe9Y4qIethkpR4poBO9U1MYZN56arc4bP0

Ends the game of hide and seek before it even begins. They should had a few possible starting positions for him, which he would randomly be at, to at least make it a little more interesting on future playthroughs, as that rather fun little mechanic is to easily bypassed otherwise.

    AP1GczOAoJGAuy9zDthPDqSJVMY0zKebxDxpWpPz

Timerra can then put the original well drop to good use killing the crit axe

    AP1GczMcRittyk_BEusew3JR7gBnWG-PrVQeNeBe

Or would have if all the chain attacks hits, so instead ol' Lindon has to finish things.

    AP1GczOHkT-chAougbCAfktPb0eXC3yp1knHLMUM

On the other side Bunet is proving it is just not his day with another miss.

    AP1GczN075rRY2nBPGMNI8HuulaVnr6tyvAuoIPP

So TeeHee has to deal with the puncher

    AP1GczMHOdYjHnfc25PpdOvvEnLoKz89j_iGxUYZ

With another flashy crit to make up for all the ones Bunet has been missing this map.

    AP1GczNT1yO-CbXjQthb1J1SituqqaEzDJuwIpeh

But I finish the turn using my dance to get in enough chip on this silver puncher to

    AP1GczOB015aLhuXmX62foFyouKN1wVLT_1ZeMaT

finish it on enemy phase, after some nasty punch damage.

    AP1GczM3ETevqyFYs8g6GbTng3Vh3QbMDTyxOLci

I open next turn with a trap I was planning for the enemy entrap staff since the preps

    AP1GczMu8WQi_b4dhCY_0Nbvs2objBfSy4jc0L8h

Timerra then gets the break on this blader

    AP1GczN2tpeRRWaIGf3jCRZ3bntjvaWiKKe72jfb

Although Panette squanders the free hit from the break with a miss

    AP1GczMpiWH5359qJtm8eQKGzPfNSBGg_b_nRso1

So I use some ranged magic chip

    AP1GczNIkqNH1q1PkrYq-6OqMFl46gFaQpGzVpcA

And Fogado's deadly arrows to finish things.

    AP1GczNWqR-kiyjA5eYLA01mX3dZlfLf9fliyah_

On the other front TeeHee gets in some heavy chip on a swordie

    AP1GczObUFLegc737Cww1RIueLDT5opKqTZCislt

And when the chips are down, Bunet finally pulls through with the kill.

    AP1GczP9jNUU5Bp4kzj0L7zfYRF0kEjgzm-PlRXE

I also use a Great Sacrifice for the exp (which also gets a little extra healing exp on Framme as well)

    AP1GczO2FSPvQ_MAr14_x88GLEmCjCTuvVwO3Tfr

I am probably playing things a bit too safe on this side

    AP1GczPLLBbX3CbMltSIn38Koxx8rwQJpZU41C6H

While again the fog is too restrictive to allow any enemy phase on the other size.

    AP1GczPMXL8LXH-JFEHpw1KD9WwTKK0HdIenngqy

The entrapper takes the bait, but in hindsight

    AP1GczNulOdNUm8H7o1eOGp9qbk-YmV9oBVeHhhJ

I should have equipped Ragnell for more defense

    AP1GczN0ttZUlwoUIJm_ldXY-gmXzvzI5Yemtu10

As the magic damage enemy doesn't actually attack Rosado...although with them needing three crits for the kill (~1 in 4000ish odds) its not the biggest deal.

    AP1GczMtQFDgaIGMEzoJUr_bVbK41PV0aogO7hG9

At least the dagger can't actually hurt us.

    AP1GczNhbl1Pe-jRqCzhz8mpqiv_vflshJzFQd_U

Now I open the turn by refilling Lindon's Engage Gauge, dancing him, so he can then

    AP1GczPZfRYtNYoYfElCpryDnWBni9EwvBHy0MmU

Engage Micaiah to warp this little army in

    AP1GczMCnHfvzRzK_J9IuHroE62QbzXK8oy0JOZS

Although the kills here are a little dicier than I would have liked, Ivy hits this one

    AP1GczNBhxfJEN79ddVbw72A36lT0Uuns4K9WQTE

And Timerra gets the one Sand Storm proc she needs for this one

    AP1GczOEtk_-4l5_pet-I6OKfCJrNRNUBpM2tkaU

Which lets Rosado go for the easy kill on the entrapper

    AP1GczPBQ-LIhj6xPBDnHxTWfEAXKWQRFR-IH4MM

With Fogado finishing off the Wolf. Phew, that was a lot tighter than I thought it would be.

    AP1GczP-Eimf2Yg0CYzkGuvC3rw3uP2b7VAUNbKX

But I got all the kills I needed in the east

    AP1GczNsfI1WbKqns76vOsS-LfPocpYCB5eywz4q

While Merrin is fogging up the west.

    AP1GczN_Ydy-6eyRBoMYTP4cNCvLIqlULZQth_qHAP1GczOWzkQjmTGPvRefl295waGgeGd-2sAe3CSA

Although the thieves had raided their first treasures. Depending on where they escape to, thing could get a bit tight here...

    AP1GczO_PGy7MTZJAHs_txmBlasmJRFsgcL9E9Ft

I guess this is some safe chip

    AP1GczPTB320vLuIVH2fBLpEwHx_ch-9L7UnKn71

And it gets Merrin this fantastic levelup from it.

    AP1GczN1zgCAr1IN75Jj6n6LIJSvPTkS_Xznn7TR

She even lucks into some extra chipping with this crit here.

    AP1GczPN4gHp-DLtZixPwQGRZO7MqQYnkx2f6oE-

    Before slaughtering the horse mage.

    AP1GczM-CHA43N-Fc3CzWM_qdWQo0XqEe4S3TFmo

Come player phase TeeHee can finish the critted Great Knight with effective damage

    AP1GczPSUriHTBBW7WRAwrxPDc7AdBQpXPCYXN1J

For even more speed on the levelup

    AP1GczMKoyf7AF0vziA33aurNVrVm5kIdrn9mIyA

I then proceed to make a bit of a mathematical error here as

    AP1GczMfPgu1xrwWActGitIikWyBK_Zu36cwjC4s

Even with the TeeHee, and poison bonus on all the hits, the effective damage All for One at the end is still 1 damage shy of the kill.

    AP1GczPLMD_91Y-G1CGKCsv63vtz7kWLR9klkf_j

Lindon gets his first levelup using another Illume staff

    AP1GczOZP565_uZYuobcVXCD6_Uu4Vk-kYn1KtLk

Although my first real action in the east is still rolling the dice as

    AP1GczPiKYfxkjfmCEFtYh-A037L86i3TbR8KUtq

The Dual Assist+ proc here was necessary for the kill.

    AP1GczMtp0cmVRlLjuumR0bc35QUEVK-NyrDXBc_

Not surprisingly this misses...sigh, I guess it is time

    AP1GczMRamUnB6LzRcNuryTYbI8sOX3VJF2w5HfQ

    To call in the doubles.

    AP1GczPJuUYtNt9_dmVaH_KM0i4AalNNc_czdx9b

Its not exactly my best end of turn, but

    AP1GczOiywLAOXj1u8fHkADg9FEMwVF7DNUKn7FQ

The doubles soak up a hit

    AP1GczN1IqL1AEUUAE8W-PkqXWmZmUdfOxUL395D

The Great Knight gets a free break on Bunet,

    AP1GczNEV9SYX5_mEReiTHTbzKH-qWk0RlcNE6SjAP1GczPhS4yuBO5H4z3P5uAITg-C3Xip2gDD-XAe

While the rest of the chests are raided, so I need to push on player phase

    AP1GczPpaZccJ_rWc6gi_mGLbE9YhG_rn9E2uHRm

With Merrin pressing in deep with the fog

    AP1GczO1CTG6CbGs9to2JdCC1NgpzKnIbVzUYXuy

I wonder why this guy didn't go for the break on TeeHee during enemy phase.

    AP1GczPY3HAWZZPzrK3QTvJD7dtc4YmQ-83o-WBn

Well, Bunet can finish off the one he just barely failed to before

    AP1GczPjLFMTRIEPjFir8eakuw0OtlpIcNZzqlp7

    For a rather underwhelming levelup,

    AP1GczP-qX7XvhtlAg2igfCbV4IWM9Z-v3RelPmx

In a way I dun goofed with my doubles placement last turn, as it let this guy claim the terrain he needed to dodge Rosado, although I do get some Dual Assist+ chip for my trouble

    AP1GczMYg1Zr1g4RrMWh_5rsDPDHE2OC1H73MqQN

Fogado can then press in to dish out a lot of damage to this killer axe

    AP1GczNWU23gSdfOUho9csbPIbwoPwlB-HFkpiol

Which he finishes with a dance.

    AP1GczO0YJSxWsueK5jhDVb0y1nVzkVVipS6IeH1

I can't complain too much about a speed levelup.

    AP1GczOFDQMZYc3JdWc7WBuAH37fu7tkK9oJ12dE

I start trying to setup chain attack on this one thanks to that terrain boosted avoid

    AP1GczN45fBprOHJ1uWiJLQaciO3TG2Uy-7Mf6ZE

But against all odds and expectations, I actually manage to hit all those 30s for the kill here.

    AP1GczOKhuMqiZ0tZULJ_7dT3parPCPi9VmNCDet

    My luck giveth, and taketh...

    AP1GczMr2cIav89TAiW9JxYYVw8kgJTL3Vkb6u2F

This is a little reckless, but they can canter back into terrain, and

    AP1GczNuC006_CdI_eYjSgRBzuQaKzWfBMlFiZ6J

I was already planning on proccing the Great Sacrifice full heal.

    AP1GczP3LjXsGx-oGN0brOGe-dS4GHMSk0E-y612

Things are a little deceptive on this side at the end of turn, as its the fleeing thief that is "threatening" Fogaod at the moment.

    AP1GczMOeWTEH9liIbYYoQZYrsGVW_Y6Km5hsEY7

Although things prove a bit scarier on the other side, as TeeHee revealed a second of these lancers, and without that Great Sacrifice before

    AP1GczMowwN0MVw0-rTMI7ctvYEVseyhGIwLOBaN

Would have been at risk of dying if all the 24s hit.

    AP1GczNhGjGajtoAkiMoRlLhkfX5HDM7wnMTG0ob

So I open the turn by again refilling Lindon's Micaiah powers

    AP1GczMnDByZDirFq18H41omeNoCqe3Oe142D5s0

And immediately reposition him to both safety, and back into dancer range

    AP1GczOVF7mlNHNUJ6Bdb5NtNncJ8kUaLNblsN2I

Although once again Fogado is banking on a dual assist+ proc for the ki-

    AP1GczNeXmjeVW_XCCuDZXk1rSMcAh7X3dRe6xA3

    I guess that works too.

    AP1GczM2wOmJtX0VUZ1FhBb1jXU0z4cLbO4aP1Ew

More importantly, the theives revealed that they are far easier to catch than I was expecting, with them having to backtrack to their escape point instead of it being behinf the boss.

    AP1GczO985UvLdV-cRv2QHWHoHpJF51Dh0--6JEx

    Violence is Framme's middle name.

    AP1GczMSvL68MfMcmLAOUH-l74FWJCg6j0YIo7Xc

Altough it is Rosado who gets the honor of the kill (and thus the securing of the treasure)

    AP1GczN3Utb4scpulIy-o5upDFLqOm-HYdEFR5EE

Although the real treasure was the sweet levelup from the kill.

    AP1GczMqaRm1kja0LrGE-56qvZLXfuI8tmJxhlT1

On the other end, TeeHee secures a dangerous looking kill, but after cantering back into terrain

    AP1GczMJeidml229nDCeR0m2MnlAXBnAcZSt9MNG

That is further reinforced with +30 avoid from the fog, TeeHee is now too dodgey to hit...

    AP1GczMDzyah8Ct_aadi1MkeCeeMT1cqvg6BpNxW

But I proc another Great Sacrifice just in case my math is off somwhere.

    AP1GczPSn2_D3iDa-myGggu3M62nV8QzDuPA17FP

Also the combination of fog and Bunet's placement is slowing the thief down, in spite of its Pass skill.

    AP1GczNiu-6yQA1ExdD-6F71wpQWu0tS-oxTtGxt

    Truely divine.

    AP1GczOAuSU0fyn9E-ifNPXhZtX2ioAwLI57Chnk

I really need to kill that thief this turn, so TeeHee opens by crippling it

    AP1GczPYQOzUx-5I4V1Lv2q_AHr-10D2xQyJctbL

    With Bunet cleaning up.

    AP1GczOFSVRst5SDuJBsLjpZ-fdnDhLBWii8fyUU

So that Merrin can keep the fog up, making both her, and her subject of study beside her safe.

    AP1GczO2Kla-_lD0MrMDqmix3QorEYnZ6LmZvuVg

With this as his last turn of Engage, I figure I should use it now

    AP1GczOuPtc8Rw755xry-pSlZsXmSmqEhCSBbyZ9

And with a chain guard for safety, I can draw the central wolves towards my much stronger front.

    AP1GczN-ofFEFmH4LhHuKn2eZwjsk_sISCwKiMcd

Time for one of the larger enemy phases so far, which I then flub a bunch of screen shot on, missing the Lancer killing itself

    AP1GczMvBJsEDKbcDzJgYoSZE3Gmdsx5FTctBe-d

And basically everything important from TeeHee dodging and chipping this axe

    AP1GczPuIQ_WxZV8ankNPrmnwnJHOJkVdQRtKvGJ

At least I get my act together after TeeHee, with Merrin dominating her axe foe

    AP1GczPstAQ094tvnVcGj3VXtBDavl_PRBj2KfbP

Timerra getting a perfectly safe enemy phase kill on the chipped wolf thanks to dual guard

    AP1GczMsETjVI0HW-6KD3YU867EktS_J9VCMyeTs

For a solid levelup, that I still want to complain about becaus she really wants a little more strength

    AP1GczN7PxrkW2hYoWNMVgraoQrH6MSXaLiJ5Ll4

Before she gets a smidge more wolf chip in before the start of player phase.

    AP1GczOvc52k56sL8HOtCuhc8wsZEf4dqcxY9Nz1

And I open player phase with aggression in the west, Merrin killing one axe

    AP1GczPoi0TQOa-OGRtO6Lsf5aaD3-d7aqvxeEBs

    With Bunet finishing the other.

    AP1GczNFxqnZ7v4kwV9Ls70jSNeSAlZYL3BbGqXZ

The wolf hunt in the east opens with a bit of a barbeque, that is a bit shy of the first kill

    AP1GczOfsVn7AWgFqcZM1Z_ZlED6gWap0hUtV5rs

Although I probably should have started with this Panette chip that sets up her double Chain Attack on the two wolves at once

    AP1GczMqpvfbX3-l-uqYzTMILfx1SPsxqGYdeFMm

That lets Lindon coast off the chain attacks to pop the corn of the most injured wolf

    AP1GczNrk0KHV0R4FKqpuDBf6bWKo9V9hVcQ5SMt

For his second levelup...and it seems magic is everything with him.

    AP1GczP5dtpQhFcfenTBhWwjW73KBHlvCPyPCyOb

Rosado then misses the kill on the last wolf

    AP1GczMpNfQSJfv6nPeQwX74Ze0xxwT7Rl_wo_ML

So Timerra has to show off her wolf taming skills to pacify it.

    AP1GczNUt6xrN4lakyPt_vNimMWhFFBncR5PDcgF

But that does leave us with a rather boring enemy phase.

    AP1GczPDS43zkzo2QV3pGXjgzDPTIb4MoeITbaZx

So I prepare for the enemy phase after that one with a Chain Guard on Panette

    AP1GczMd7qPYowps1OC5W8xIzOqPbqcjXzHg4Ftb

As I lure the last cluster of enemies right into my face.

    AP1GczPsx36Ozg24HaE89tl23GVgTp8rHgEPyqrF

With Panette opening with some nice chip.

    AP1GczO1t8q6TmX2XcE9j3mg_6inJmutb5ZK2D5h

The fact that the big boss masochist moved along with all of his hench  zombies makes this a bit spicier

    AP1GczOgXUEprAr69TNjcsZFrLvYFtVl6UGXuB9_

But I open with Timerra perfectly getting the kill on the chipped one

    AP1GczNU6ULdCn9l-sn-h5eNgf_KQ-qRCEZMpFul

Alas, she misses here, but still wracks up a tiny bit of Dual Assist+ chip.

    AP1GczNqSaSQiOjU4-7HLgqhpoqV5uZNnHTovQcx

This hurts a lot, but I need to freeze Griss here, so I can deal with the minions now, and put him off for next turn.

    AP1GczP3__IRiPEcPGB_GIAtwaWG3Ubpy9MAIMRr

More painful retaliation, but our little lady's punches are fatal.

    AP1GczN-OlnkIGHEGEtV17iDzJJh308vxTpASaL_

Rosado can then use Canter+ to get in some serious chip on the backup punchers

    AP1GczPF6hqo8a4ECjJlVmSmH8a1xShURo1hTRGk

For Bunet to then miss the kill.

    AP1GczNjkp2uqQmymRGN_cYnIuugCJMvZ2YS2MMb

I then let TeeHee slaughter the other healer. Remember kids you can't spell slaughter without laughter.

    AP1GczMOvQ9xEKBPCesTEIs4FfH-rR8B6qdxy7EI

Ivy roasts the last pugilist, leaving the master masochist alone.

    AP1GczNwg4Qdxmu0qu8bIO1gkMO853Z753cZHpWc

And Ivy become more physically tanky, and generally killy.

    AP1GczPw8Y2XLeO175NxKsAYoE9-t5ResCuQhQV_

I break one last health bar before ending the turn off

    AP1GczO5Mrvv6KcU6xIMbFIVAfsIDCw2NkIsiY3E

With another Great Sacrifice from the oldest of men.

    AP1GczNVjbRoh8zkb-YJgyH-4m1YtweHCW0AKGje

    For a great little levelup.

    AP1GczOkoFxIxfRGPg9mI5taZyMacAivnTK84CKR

Also of note, Great Sacrifice triggered Diffuse Healer, so Lindon was left with more than 1 HP afterwards, which is an interesting little interaction to keep in mind.

    AP1GczOc7o4JxOHjNGZOi09J_XBDCT6eHp3gIt9j

Seadall also levelups on the dance I use to heal Lindon back up to full

    AP1GczP3zwgVU5zi0WgGofbKGtQt0zoqKM_zton-

I decide to end the last turn by hitting Griss from a perfectly safe 3 range

    AP1GczNQR6X318bbiac9qUx8QcpvJWkaG9HbYVAd

Although that ends a bit sooner than I expected thanks to Dual Assist+ procs, as well as

    AP1GczPP197NISwmaqjMphLXwyN_OROQUlZHO31n

A Grasping Void proc from Ivy for the kill.

    AP1GczNlvDTh677x0sJPh5PiHboPDiVAugijvHP5

    ...Sigh

    AP1GczPUgTqFfhVIXNGsfpferiFUrlciNn0J25DE

Eh, I would have probably given MVP to either TeeHee, our little puncher, or maybe Lindon.

    AP1GczOvibuokKDoylfrm-7-lT-o0fHXj3fAoofK

Welcome back Celica, Ivy has her finger all ready for your ring.

    AP1GczPZ67vul-YZSpjstxdzKrbX-MIFGACUyNOM

Griss has never heard of subtley has he.

    AP1GczPQYIIomkI-Z_Bp3utpuE3AclYdYjZwv8Sy

    AP1GczPw_twaE4Gy-klJtBz7-miGI6lqclBjGpNj

She did know the old TeeHee a little, which I feel makes it a bit better than a hunch. Although I do like that she really isn't certain before, we are talking about someone she thought was long dead, and whom changed the color of an eye, and half their hair in the interveneing years.

    AP1GczOPWv-kvtHCPjIP0F3VXvIVN3BoSFGWDHO-

With how Sombrom treats all of his kin, I don't know how you can imagine he is on the side of any of the fell dragon.

    AP1GczOci1xQ-UZ8NxgYJm6XGdWJ6P44Rk9kde-X

And now Engage circles around back to an old theme of Fates, is family forged in blood or bonds.

    AP1GczNcXDQL5lSnMA4AwV-PLpO54zj3HJwxj4n9AP1GczMNCfHWkSVYb-qexBHoA9dyuEfvDfzH65Pb

The camera is really hamming it up with the double dutch angles with this reveal.

    AP1GczNsVl1MoZpIfbnfZHiQE_XGnEISUVUgOTAlAP1GczMm-ovQvxSJvdshltS27TcvYWLn1_6wzmnE

Thank you Griss, someone finally points out that ol' Jagen here isn't old enough to know anything about our amnesiatic divine dragon here.

    AP1GczPtzHUiyUeR3zxxZg8mrqlYvpF0t0yDRub7AP1GczOTAGxoPASxu9WQguwU6yEVOOyRA6S1T6dh

I do love how this is foreshadowed by Lumera not using an invocation to summon Sigurd, and how she instructs TeeHee on the importance of the thoughts and prayers they use to summon the Emblem at the begining of the game.

    AP1GczMF7DjdTU-YdOALbGmVUqsiopYPpW3-1qEP

The poor little amnesiac doesn't remember what an adoption is...admittedly there is a little more too it, but I am getting ahead of myself here.

    AP1GczMNTSnwp3bodg9XsfdROcj4MLonEO4YsZjt

That is down right cruel Griss...unless...does he know about the plan for corrupted Lumera already?

    AP1GczNpaz_v7Rk12S79o_jYlN_YXKD1YeDiPq6B

That investigation and delaying action just cost you half your ring supply

    AP1GczPSz2xqmya4Kl2pv4AfiCIfI34KVJgqCCmA

But that might have been worth it. With such a ring desparity, you have to take risks to turn the tides, and if this fractures the Divine Dragons army into infighting with the rings, that would be a serious boon, and even if it didn't, the time and info bought with its loss was still worth something to the cause.

    AP1GczO2A7MwEdtxcLBlDDzwMpTQ2PMpsCkyuKvuAP1GczMYLiqbyuRzx_KKHnimZtF1n2VPYit1bkBF

Usually I would expect that kind of logical cynacism from Timerra or Ivy, not Alfred and Diamant...

    AP1GczMY6gNsSOnMeGz3kHTOXWcm3yFOVE1UTnoL

I have a fair bit of respect for TeeHee openeing up about what must be some raw fears here

    AP1GczNnj5RAMFX4CbBWhCu1ExYf3FAqg1XQFp8A

Although I don't know why they would think red hair and eyes (how did they "see" that in a memory anyway?) would indicate they were a Fell Dragon. Neither Sombron or Veyle have the same eye and hair color as Fell TeeHee...

    AP1GczOv7yBTuakvU6-CkPXETSTnnbwMlQb9nBaC

Time for TeeHee to bring up a smart solution to this little conundrum

    AP1GczNJX2KpVAuo091TYOLBbDo6QmB0ptcRKUlX

And reveal that Sigurd was in on it the whole time 😛

    AP1GczOGdpUfQsd-PBxpx7HSlecjDN1RohGkv3F9

TeeHee is really hung up on this question. I guess it is a bit different from Fates in the framing

    AP1GczPM-byRcGEXZ_VU3vJ0kPX7sg55Q_0tlIsh

As it is telling far crueler version of Conquest, where the thing keeping TeeHee from being a family with those of his blood is malice from them

    AP1GczN9hGv8ektakAgejMcYsCm8rlLmUVMa25Tz

But still with bonds of love forging the family they found with Lumera.

    AP1GczNJe6gPt45qs35odiGUhTkxM0PmJXhaIecE

Although again there is a bit more too it, as Lumera when a step further with making TeeHee family

    AP1GczPxQg53cBAim1KwwpGJyDXSr1hbLLS3b3PR

Again, a bit of solid foreshadowing here, but Sigurd gets a bit too heavy handed in explaining it to the audience TeeHee.

    AP1GczMo1HtfFGZ2YDRQE2GZccBS9pYTwD4UofoN

That is a rather dark fate for our Emblem friends, that so many of them have suffered through the enslavement by Sombron's invocations...I guess we were a bit of a Liberation army for Sigurd here 😛

    AP1GczOe-87RYRrWLcHNV8eSFBiBMkYwFydZA15A

It would be kind of interetsing if one of the Emblems actually exerted that free will to defy us at some point, even if temperarily...

    AP1GczOpkL5U3CYAmJ1nDpRGUVmb5XJmnxFCxxra

I guess Lumera did have blue hair and eyes, just a different blue from our TeeHee here.

    AP1GczO7oO6NUnnfdECYICg5McImCukMMoxMDSUw

What a cruel thing to do to her child. TeeHee having the power of a Divine Dragon, her doing what she felt was necessary to make them a part of the family, is part of what killed her. There is a sickening cruelty in that.

    AP1GczMXjnlyn-vENiM1pHGTVbBp63-7rtJBfWhc

I almost wish they went the whole way with this, give all the surviving playable characters a moment here to affirm their willingness to stay with TeeHee. Perhaps it would get old eventually, but it would be in line with what a lot of Fire Emblem games do in the endgame...

    AP1GczOCG2GwmtcLusJQ_mnNTqOMjv4AU9JFPb8R

I must admit, this feels a bit disengenous coming from Alfred. The dude claims to have befriended TeeHee while they were still a sleeping Dragon; was that all a lie, and you didn't care about them before? I guess the sappiness of it still fits with the Alfred we all know, but it still feels a bit off...

    AP1GczMCq78rW0GQ4zrdQKBCXNTijVPBMhUgAF9t

I do like this sentiment coming at this from the perspective of a strategy/tatcics game. Although it is also easy to see this as a bid for TeeHee's ring to become thier other half too 😛

    AP1GczMcy75LuT6yxWw8NFZJ40tBx_rNQKKdk8cH

And Timerra is coming in with the best take of them all. A bit of a cliche I know, but a good one.

    AP1GczNPnrcqPm4HxvC9pGqhvDWQ8yElvv_puxd5

The great Timerra takes just keep coming in, showing her to be not just the best designed character of Engage, but simply one of Engage's best characters.

    AP1GczMoNIpwmyyAaaa1axZUDAf1OksBp0HA3dRf

And Ivy true to form comes in with a very practical take, to trust her gut instincts.

    AP1GczPq7FC_jmSEQSpFkwMYxTSOwinjYiYOOuX3

I forgot we got this last burst of gold. Unless a LOT more clothes show up in the shop this should last us to the end of the game (plus there are still paralogues to loot along the way for even more funds...)

    AP1GczN8Ta2AD-PkwW12UZDEMc2OFWIZk0lEufWM

Alright, that is a rather funny take from Hortensia...perhaps I will give you another chance one of these days.
    AP1GczPg4MS-_XWaUC3QxE1igKyRaBrEM_f2MMvw
How, our army searched this place just before that conversation for Sombron and Veyle.

    AP1GczOlVTKZZ7hMAiSJY20bxU9RGrijcKoPVUFk

Someting TeeHee knew, although I can see why they didn't connect the dots with so much else on their mind.

    AP1GczN27lgtEfV1TN0hGwhye0jENz08N2YOZSjf

It really was a fated moment, a setup for dramatic irony to come...

    AP1GczMlnYTvxQgwhrWu2E-P6spkAvCftvTEcO2W

And so we come full circle, returning to Lythos, the land of the Divine Dragons, in the next climactic section, and checkpoint...

And so I have reached the next checkpoint. I think that just leaves @Shrimpy -Limited Edition- to reach the next checkpoint. The number of paralogues really slow things down through this section of the game, although with the next section being a dramatic two part for me, I have saved a few Paralogues to do early to keep it from going by too quickly.

In Fire Emblem Fates they brought back a bevy of old characters, as you all already know. They brought back Owain, Inigo, Severa, Gaius, Cordelia, and Tharja in some form. What characters would you like to see make a cameo in a possible new game? What characters would you hate for them to bring back? How would you bring those characters back in a natural way?

I do find it a little funny that you mention Fates, but not Engage with all it's returning Emblems...also the "return" of Gaius, Cordelia, and Tharja was a bit of a cheat, as they aren't the same characters, just parallel universe doppelgangers.

Although to answer the question, it is time to bring back Anna's counterpart Jake.

I would also like IS to show the same kind of guts Kaga did by making the incredibly obscure Shannam into a recurring character for the two Jugdral games. Let's see some more super obscure ones which you might not even see on your first playthrough, like having Karla return, or Stefan, or Illios.

5 hours ago, Etrurian emperor said:

I think Alfonse, Veronica and Sharena could make good cameo characters in some form or another. Hopping between realms is kinda their thing.

On a similar note, Lucina's alter ego "Marth" as basically the hero of the Tempest Trials would make for a fitting returning character, especially if her cousin Owain continues world hopping too.

Power Rangers did that for years with some of the most celebrated episodes.

Its nice to see more people talking positively about Engage like this 😛

*Any of the Genealogy substitute units. These guys just don't have their own identities. I just made a thread talking about giving them more original backstories, but just plain using them again in a different context would serves to give them an independent existence. Especially considering, as, mostly commoners, they don't have the same ties to the setting that their noble counterparts do.

On a more serious note, this is one of the best suggestions yet. Lets see more of people like Asaello the hitman of Connact, little Charlot, or Jeanne.

  23. I am not particularly proud of how I did with chapter, as this one was rough...

    Spoiler

    AP1GczMx1LtHbwPTXyUdkoVPMQv0Dp31hrI5NfFj

Who am I to turn down fashion advice from the nerdy Lucina.

    AP1GczNdQcSK-ghwp89_4sPKRQ5fj6EY52wQsFf5

The dashing young thief is ready to steal the hearts of all she meets 😛

    AP1GczMW5SocHNqK_bY3nLrFtXHiAQ2fbSkt4qKy

I do also hit TeeHee's first level cap in the arena, so

    AP1GczMslwg13mJOVLDiw9ybgyU8_wy6_XkdM5Bb

That does end up costing me a Second Seal

    AP1GczO5O631VEVcQCOdf1oaogQwMOZHltddFe0a

And I get one last arena levelup on Framme as well. Nothing too exciting really.

    AP1GczM4roiqkjL8stIYNex3nUI--47hkN-LHiOg

I also make sure Merrin has access to Pair Up, that way she wont go down the same way Zelkov did. I do end up going back to do a little more prepwork before the chapter at large, but it was after getting a good look at the map, so I kind of feel a little obliged to keep things chronological and move onto the story.

    AP1GczPrpvdPGGP92IkHzITKOygHTAWfmN4cbfNz

With Zephia about tell the other hounds how her meeting with Sombron went

    AP1GczPCyYyCm12euyyq9CwD0MYMrbHOra_SVF7z

    Oh you silly little masochist,

    AP1GczOEPTc9RdPIOyG9YA3K2F1xAH5YTdsc954Q

You aren't actually willing to fail thoroughly enough for daddy Sombron to punish you.

    AP1GczNso6Y03jgZPbgYQ-9ewtrXAa5z7ANz27yE

Only the hubris of a little fool who thinks she is above punishment would deserve it.

    AP1GczNlpjjxIF0HRueVc0FdPnA5AW4YOOREr-2Z

And Mauvier is starting to get a little protective of the true Veyle, after their first attempt to permanently remove her failed. I guess the cruelty of the new round of magics made him have a change of heart.

    AP1GczMwmA3YHZdlmsWzPLuRw-HLtZbyAMAP5c-F

That does seem like an odd object to have, one would expect it more to work the other way around

    AP1GczN3D8Hec9YQFy9oln8fHMKq4mK5gyrZSJpl

I wonder how they even heard about that. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if the randomly reviving miniboss wasn't killed again, and thus able to report back, and once again is too unimportant to even pretend to mention.

    AP1GczM2scIGIjrG-ywwDWobQ_rtsg9ndT52tDbO

Yeah that boat that we got in spite of the main port burning down was a surprise to me too.

    AP1GczPwz7Qi2YkRvlkRurJsuNW-5HRi8uZFusMCAP1GczN-T5oZq_UDwHL3wR2xhsxpT7m3INWzo9RA

Alas this chapter we have to deal with the M & Ms, Marni and Mauvier.

    AP1GczNu_Tc2NFak0IEzwsBgBU1VAx5ji5v1tEXq

And Mauvier is trying to delay Veyle's super brainwashing, hopefully long enough for us to save her, but...

    AP1GczPkl-4S7XKCYWoC_64uUCw-2NOa6oPwJIyZ

She is straight up a liar.

    AP1GczNc-YXjjp9T7v2QlyyQUhGN7BjOIG5epmeP

It does seem a little odd that we only see that at this point, and not when the two of them had an opportunity to interact with eachother

    AP1GczPpdvjoMqF81QH8lWZZyC93VSiG0TpKjYl4

She is really over controlling with the Hounds, especially

    AP1GczMnZcrJay1YcIbMAHv7KjPclQ4dSSwuZ6WW

With how she claims they are her family. That is the kind of mentality that will make a very dysfunctional family...

    AP1GczOPAlxjL5B1kUV7XsmcZG5GnP6muokDi5ef

Credit where it is due, they have been doing a nice job of setting things up for future chapters here, with a little hint for the checkpoint chapter.

    AP1GczMOP_bKHolrBGt4-hNmIbeCHUyZ6u9-v2vb

    As the saying goes

    AP1GczNy2_9YJL2ZxiSTDjMBnzHXq_imlpKOktEH

Ah the silence of the dead...

    AP1GczO6hr268DwUuBOqScc9X1jY1CycKF9F9Q3FAP1GczNmcu1KOuQsfSBZoOweUyYE97PweQbDVW9J

Well it wasn't able to tell you with its words...

    AP1GczPuMkr05lT3UjWtwAh_v3hVBjC0bpqTjSLd

Which means we have a tough chapter, especially with all that miasma swimming around.

    AP1GczPZSl-O-3x8TAARlm-7qh4KKFJ8iCbsbCxb

Oh those poor naive princes, they think Sombron's goal is conquest...

    AP1GczN-b1sh_r5XjqsoiF1_ADaI92Fjym-vv0by

If only we could skip this chapter, because the enemy warps are nasty...

    AP1GczMQr5cvRi55VqNC6LQPR_z8eqXDqrmrnjcx

It is interesting that Timerra is the one to bring up this objection. From before she was always the more callously practical one, but I guess she gets particularly defensive about her people (and thinks Ivy should be too)

    AP1GczNxriZtC-_1k8GDNDTG1vNoPf0F-oZ80krW

But instead she is on the side of practicality...

    AP1GczMlsgGRmCfaOEy62pYZnQdjJtHtZtSTC1z9

Because she correctly reasoned that there is no one left to save.

    AP1GczMxDkL8oTybepBfHFd0TPuXsp_obOgq2yjK

    And so did TeeHee.

    AP1GczOFqWc8UmDJn7Is8U3KHocd2XwLa5SpmGmk

I would say we need to pick out battles, but we get drawn into a battle here anyway.

    AP1GczNZVmC8nB57wwFIECNf5x8VTysA-dqugoLY

Ah you soft little flowered prince, don't let them kill you innocently helpful nature.

    AP1GczNhbQnQoKQI38DP2Vg_e-4L2-5iItZFTQNI

I mean its not that surprising,

    AP1GczNaDEJY4ba6WVtB78AaTAZz5U0vTk27jtyb

As they already have a B support with eachother 😛

    AP1GczNi-cK7K666bW8sN6PEEivPoyLUnnzhodSW

    Oh I wish...

    AP1GczMcZvYH9ueVg5rU4b9AYkFaVAOg7Wr0Bi9E

As we are about to be forced to stay and fight those corrupted together with half the Hounds as well.

    AP1GczNo6Jq4rpwzYkQWpQ3zaJFhb7E6n7hiJsde

Hey now, I think the Miasma and Micaiah warps are far scarier...

    AP1GczMt6Gi_FYt-lLg56jWXQBlq_OEnrxaFfj8C

I guess I appreciate the offer, but obviously the answer here is no.

    AP1GczNxeVeo2I4UidAFwWWyLQ-3LodHfl8R20yR

    Here we go...

    AP1GczPLe6NN7x22XYcxM-_hFIi4rcVD7m0vtGW2

I guess we have one last question of our own to ask, and while Mauvier is to the point of being happy to help

    AP1GczPV3hwacI1QkwhMCiW4AlwSeizwFQiANXn2

We got this little pest in the way

    AP1GczOgLxZXnoQHQyPMVilhc-PBLAUQoepFziRb

So it will have to wait until the end of the map.

    AP1GczNCBF5i6MGuBIUVBIfHEdQhe4rydNLZml8p

And we got two particularly nasty rings to deal with this time as well.

    AP1GczPOTS1DoHSpCICi0MGENjHe6TCdndGeBSJe

Which the silly little fool stole from her master

    AP1GczNSqEeAkCBhdeYo8CbA8XQLtf27wg2vWjDd

And will definitely suffer for the hubris of it.

    AP1GczMW5M3bSS9utsceVsETCgVf0bXSP8HhQmQy

Now we have a few ring change ups to make, and its time to get Sigurd back onto my old friend Louis for this one.

    AP1GczNK9TDzaNKIIOkl_7NlPEzF1T1jl8G14hPC

Merrin becomes the Fog Machine for real this time

    AP1GczO3xg3gBEiGB1Jcx9oX_RlPFL0ZV511LmdQ

With Bunet reclaiming the Lucina ring from Merrin.

    AP1GczOCgCkfQYtN1Ia1PvHXAQYQRfsv5mutcTSD

But with this as what I decide to go with for my deployment, I decide I need to go back for a few skills before the map

    AP1GczOVEbQr7lzp3hylx-kKQO6g4i9YXr0zX45a

First putting reposition on a flier for some shenanigans on this map in particular

    AP1GczPCZOIlIzzJ_s5sXYgggR5tsJaoYppL5zuU

I then decide to spend the big bucks, by burning my last expert book, and 4 novice books on top of it to get Louis

    AP1GczPuyQphAoyjXxd11CH-Lhogt6v0OYuVnOm8

A copy of Pair Up of his own for protection

    AP1GczN3g73pFJFyXesArpL1fBxGjPtxYeyKtiUY

I do also decide to burn my speed wing trying to get Alfred's mediocre speed over a threshold, but he really is behind on the speed.

    AP1GczOtTCj1DC3rq3ZUcA9SYOPUqfxq70bo2B9zAP1GczMfVC7NMiGFm3kG0ybo8i079PN38hAWOn4t

Unfortunately this map is too big to catch my full opening placement in a single shot, but I did do a fair bit of fiddling

    AP1GczMLjsEQf97QXRV_6P9qTLUWzW0J6fR_s_VH

I open the map by burning a fair bit of Miasma away, while burning some near foes as well

    AP1GczO2jueywJ8aziXUu1pYNq65NYLdOvMlfyyP

And its shenanigans like this that made me go back for reposition.

    AP1GczNrJJ4mx6qbEW0kpAJMKI-nd81KT5EX9RuA

I even use a bit of swap to get Merrin a little closer

    AP1GczPvvxRGBG8QXG6YfDA83YC-O6HrD3zAY0aF

To the central corridor I plan on letting her hold with the fog.

    AP1GczNNoeSEGG81fbT6RkKNwGF4e0IwrMJDi2pfAP1GczP1DIXvOXPXaKeKlNyhtJ_SCxKW7wDs56hd

I use the other flame cannons to burn away some nearby miasma.

    AP1GczP72_s-qAN2YbHXAQoT3chVeTMpM18VGc21AP1GczP3ZeYoCMvAR5vK-dyBqMpykwmmzVRqgGtm

    Before ending the turn.

    AP1GczNQ904UgVq4F69mHmDNsndNkAa024_MCmHU

Alas, Mauvier is going to make this chapter particularly annoying by teleporting a lot of cavs deep into our lines

    AP1GczPTwCxM1h7Z9Y-YghX8lJXi0kNITnFP_VFW

I will also note that the three that burned are just Physicing eachother up.

    AP1GczNp4brK7iqEokyR0UAlDyqTiROyh346Enc1

Oops, I forgot to equip the avoid boosting dagger, so this one could theoretical hit. It obviously didn't, but lets not make that mistake again in the future

    AP1GczO_jm4Y58rXfysKAQfJEdei4QwuceXQ3XZk

TeeHee did also draw some heat from the warpers, but managed to dodge the hit for pure punish

    AP1GczOH7jJhfXH-2riS9jjh1RP_rxfcp7cLtos5

And its time to recruit the old lady.

    AP1GczOa4kEEAgUPaSP_xYnsulc19wX6YFq8YLGf

Yeah, it has been a while since I saw, but in all seriousness

    AP1GczN8hwDG_1MC45YNr_3BWgrYNTCe_W9dfaA6

How? Her being recruited now in this dead port makes no sense.

    AP1GczPFKRkRuqU_TThskoZDlZclo0pPH9peXHlo

Better yet, talking doesn't waste an action, so TeeHee can kill the one with audacity to attack them.

    AP1GczOIEJF2egDQas8jOMW1jKeEjkIMMmPc_U__

In retrospect, doing this so early was a little bit of a mistake, as

    AP1GczN-sqTZZnRS2hf6OxoEj4f9NgBX9MwSTb6r

These guys are a lot tankier than I remember. I should be able to deal with this, but it will be tri-

    AP1GczOl44eJuOl5DTGxHR4LnHkTAEEo_0_F016v

Oh no...Oh no...I misclicked...I was just going to check if any of the Engage weapons would make a difference, but now I not only wasted this Engage, but he is 1 damage shy of the kill, and now I can't canter him where I need to, to protect my dancer. This might force into a position where I have to chose between a dead Framme, and a dead dancer...

    AP1GczOhx2a_XhT6yhl8rRsq-5xsfVHqgCAUE0tJ

Bunet, I could kiss you. Your random crit luck in this game has just saved my bacon.

    AP1GczO4iAv_qtE-n_S_R2bZlGQVqRQQTfJAfcGm

So now I can Dance Framme, and she can

    AP1GczOjzg6DSo6wsia08tk9FYXgt5CGJJo4ihmX

...Seadall, don't interrupt me with your pointless levelup, as Framme

    AP1GczNuVlnSpRRxyCbcJJylyjxpfS1FelUR_H8Y

Can get a damageless kill with her super, and everyone here should be able to survive the last of them. Admittedly if I hadn't misclicked my way into a lucky crit, I probably would have had to burn my 20 range Astra storm, but could have probably saved Framme's engage instead.

    AP1GczOYV8coSaCG2LxQd_JDe0-n8f8kHSTKPFED

As I could have killed the one Panette chipped with this, and Bunet could chip the second so Framme could finish with just punches (Note I don't actually make this attack here, it is just to show how I would have escaped the position I was in before more reliably).

    AP1GczP8o_55xISrFgC28esn9xnjgHA3NE5Vr_IX

In retrospect, this was a bit wasteful, as those three main ones in the flames can just keep spamming Physics.

    AP1GczPxen4ahmhP4-6wysY1mei2IDZzTFpU7RM8

Back to less extreme situations, Alfred finishes off the other injured enemy in the center while putting a little distance with canter

    AP1GczPIuCW4oYgVlSgfPX4UwifNUpMMrSGmUGdP

While Ivy repositions another of the troops past the boat

    AP1GczM_d7N9xjSrF18wnuf3PxE5iFN_bSD2ZcpN

And she can snipe one of those Physic bots trapped in the flame.

    AP1GczOKmXP2gtAWrfRBhFc8gjRJqPRX1ERjEnB9

Speaking of which, its time to find out if they will prioritize healing, or throwing their spears

    AP1GczPHp3L-aTfhdIoU720DOsPFfsEbGHS0ZXyYAP1GczMAYRUBeeTXHs405-555QaY4iOEllMIlKli

As we hit the end of the turn

    AP1GczP9fDbyz-0XdMOn1klNTSox1ZQ0LgYmV4Zu

Alas, they prioritize healing instead of killing themselves.

    AP1GczMPaOMEi7_gf4duv8jHD8ZPtvdZybiU-cGe

The last of those that spawned from the house surprises me a bit by going for Panette, but it does get the hit.

    AP1GczM-jiDGYtkw6IEnYqs14zasGEQNE4cg6RQT

And the next round of enemies warped in emphasizes that I need to reposition Merrin to better control their movement.

    AP1GczPL7mAP3eBngCojVZAX_y3ilW-Lq7hoTRT8AP1GczNgQVmVBirmiu3dLvv8ATMVTRJtTPbIoYDv

    These jerks are rather tanky...

    AP1GczN-mVs_MB_SuNFkGQAk2WCOV2Z7G4-tn-NF

Back in the south, Panette gets the guaranteed break

    AP1GczMqHI24k-4F7LTTjGEoYvYPkoZoSnj9rbEC

While Framme can heal her back up, before

    AP1GczN4tRRG3F6GtTGm1GKPiMLKwDOuBXFl0FQb

    Bunet finishes him

    AP1GczOzTQpsnEHHbg-wCRCgIpTtgbURmvA4Ek0e

I tried to find give the kill to someone else here, but TeeHee had to finish it.

    AP1GczMUOx6YpOlzOv2JLmViha41fwOQwtoiVKx3

Hopefully this should hamper the warped troops enough to prevent them from heading south to annoy my main push.

    AP1GczMAu1upZXeniGYssSfw7rfrZG1EboDOfRCu

I do also decide to leaver Timerra on the boat for a bit, so I can fire cannon the bosses when they spring, while sending Ivy to the north. There hasn't been much action in that direction, but eventually will be

    AP1GczMLkDd6Kas7VAQZaNaaiLfzMWg_2eHe2fm6

But there is definitely far more heat in the south, and Bunet is drawing in

    AP1GczMd0UllH1Cjsys6Tw7KRPGl_8xNNRNnJMGB

A wolf that can only just barely damage him.

    AP1GczPBHDpojA7UsJH0_Jik0SCeelkW25vW2f_A

Also one of the warper this turn was able to just about reach Ivy

    AP1GczPmRviFbUXq5ZRKj9-MoSM2TdVNeilpwRzD

But Merrin sees a little bit of action too.

    AP1GczNmJJ5_NrwBUMLhQCmIJlYjVBys5UvBCpxN

This isn't that big of deal, but Timerra being able to get some range chip from the boat was just fun.

    AP1GczMstKGzqfa8zl629-p5BuwpuH0FjUPn7yL1

As Fogado doesn't need the help from his sister to finish him.

    AP1GczMfjxuoBcnDR10Gw_NwpnJyqaauqaF5JdXn

Stuff is finally happening in the north, and I want to burn the Miasma the lead foe is on, that way

    AP1GczOCF_brbl3hagr5zfzQDxWqXrz8PouhMAze

Louis can get some serious chip before canter out of the flames

    AP1GczMcBl2uv4KD9vuBjy7SusVxftDlaEqJLldW

While there is a lot more action in the south, and I start with this break here

    AP1GczOoTBRqkVK7ClSR3VXgwZhyDZQUGCuKuBf8

With one of them being a crit.

    AP1GczMD2QBQ9PgZ_x2vUC_lpjZFC_gPWhhY-nDG

Anna finishes the wolf, and even gets a good levelup from it, but I am frazzled enough that I miss the image of it.

    AP1GczPKKCppiwD3iqg6Kf1XDXnXewZuivoMpazh

Panette did deal enough damage for Alfred to finish things with a Ridersbane

    AP1GczN-6oQVXpl1Ru5jJCTxyDykK8LNHlB2Ca-N

For a nice little levelup on him.

    AP1GczNdJMkn2rlIEugQ6zTaEJ55yXsQGWp8C416

Truth be told, my positioning wasn't great with Panette's canter, so I needed the dance here for a bit of repositioning

    AP1GczPY1oFV7RJde2XlA63GyyYeSlEzFinnrYfQ

This was a bit of a mistake. For some reason I thought the movement cost for fire was only two instead of three, which would let me finish off the two wolf in the back there fairly safely

    AP1GczPMWjOAwnV4PzqNDjsLNznUlyy04oaEIzhy

And with that little mess up, I have to improvise a bit here with a break on the near one while cantering away

    AP1GczPzo7bEz2eMMI9D2wj6vpNSJDVcFnYXDuC2

Which was another small error as if she stayed in the fire I could have setup a slightly better Goddess dance here, but I can get a bit of work out of it.

    AP1GczOelCIKoOyG0nwksEeR6lazHoPXtmuxuesY

Without the miasma Alfred kind of wrecks the wolves with his Ridersbane

    AP1GczMCf9L8eBv41jqhqhJlJORUcvu9I_jqNyuO

Tempted as I was to do that to the other wolf, the fire would prevent him from cantering back a space to safety, and I need just a tiny bit more damage

    AP1GczMZnFgAOYaIHMs53ZqkswjUOeHI6nEWZk_C

On this tanky fellow, and thanks to some Dual Assist+ procs, he even eeks out some extra damage here

    AP1GczMyBngpnHC3bZjKhGogjw4Cc0Usa-YbOvQt

Although I do need an obstruct use to hamper the other wolf now

    AP1GczOslMeW6FvoSoBl8cyGPjBzgkz5XKKJKmvV

Before Panette can kill off the nearby great knight.

    AP1GczPuCPolBJFar1UFAskJqpKkPCeDkrHh1Oyk

In the north Louis is setup for an easy enemy phase kill, and

    AP1GczNkt3tq35T3APIYsQ2fjzreAVZyJYrzAVYJ

The only person in range in the south is Alfred

    AP1GczOfLorzuwxXWxFgHBLxieGhytXYvPKKwLBf

and as we already saw the wolves can't touch him

    AP1GczM3rRvqRZLhoKBR4Y04mz-GzXx_SQ-jxq0W

...ughh...looks like my Merrin position has been slightly off this entire time, as Mauvier is able to just barely warp a spave past her letting this jerk get a free hit on Anna.

    AP1GczMSQfDDf6NME-LtwIiARIYbqsRBl3jtlbpn

It is very irritating that his body there prevents me from seeing the edge of his warp range even as zoomed out as I can, so I have to count squares instead, so I know I have to move Merrin down one space to block him from repeating that maneuver.

    AP1GczPl4y_aPXcQSiYpGvlKG9lOTA2TdecT0sk-

Now the flower prince can Ridersbane the one that warped in to a brutal death.

    AP1GczOYFM3B_2UmvRUT8jz-ZeAFWcHdSgvlb3O1

And I make another mechanical mistake here, as even though I hit the smash weapon here to try and push the wolf out of the miasma, you need to deal damage for the smash...

    AP1GczOM4W2nH5QZKW0gxpVGHB_BKZZpEKF8fwy3

Which means I am just pulling back with everyone I can in the south.

    AP1GczNvJ4UqZ9KsTuBlqQZS4z80flv0Jib835Um

In the north Louis is setting up for a bit more enemy phase chip

    AP1GczMj_wp-WNeSTmPn3arvS_H3hYNJBpV2NOSK

While the wolf takes the obvious free hit on TeeHee in the south.

    AP1GczPMXeYnOEQhpXGW0b9_CMsp1adluBsDnPVd

Louis is trivializing thing in the nor-

    AP1GczPvGAViUW4ItV8k83vlyOQOYXotGjt_hqse

Guh..Uh...*SIGH*. I can't believe I spent all the resource for the Pair Up on Louis, and then forgot to equip the Sombron be damned thing...That I got Reposition on Ivy right, and this one wrong makes this so very frustrating. This chapter has just been full of little bungles from the beginning of it.

    AP1GczMUiFx2PupNJaIRqhtjoHHzSvBJ9HQkapia

Now that the wolf is out of the miasma, Alfred can skewer it

    AP1GczNlKpD5Oxqd4uPTzNoAwpFOf_mPj6V_K0XD

The north is a bit spicier, with Fogado finishing one of the chipped ones off

    AP1GczM7kjM_nM0HQXpvW9tbpTRIyu0HMcTkOCfn

Although Ivy still needs to reposition him to safety afterwards.

    AP1GczOySZRdaB7MLyyJ9T4M_cZKRBvNWQi7Yhb4

In better news, Merrin successfully body blocked the warper this time, so Bunet can finish i-

    AP1GczMZ7hGO8uFlMPGFzCNvVsSL-qYvaJNwbeB8

    Oh he missed...

    AP1GczM33ymoCMUYktfgxvbvqm_UT8YoyjQu2Rqw

But he doesn't the second time

    AP1GczMENTgOptzsJsJYjVMFm7uizMO2rLqenkqE

    For a fairly Bunet levelup.

    AP1GczM4QPXuTyYaCimNwtzTF-A-zNO0IJr_RZG8

Although that was the last of Mauvier's warps...

    AP1GczPXuhzU4SFdfoCLX_kQUVW1EIZ-D9vdVaZZAP1GczMGFO1dnafZhrlmnIUMkwl01hJZ87QfBevS

Although that means the only interesting thing that happens on enemy phase

    AP1GczNYVZwaSR16_01xvQq67oX11opY7pECpnvaAP1GczPGAs1fjEcbG77aiESYp2tpktitIeRTCp_g

    Is Louis's chip fest.

    AP1GczMrlzNICn0Dh3wMPGvXkUCGps72VJrKCnvo

But with him missing both, that is going to make this a little tight here. Fogado gets a lot of chip here

    AP1GczNGbtAKxQhqUd6Epg7Y0HCPv6aq46dZDydT

So Louis can go for a kill here

    AP1GczP_vzkYCBkh1g5Ot79r-9_coIGY5q5L20qx

Which gets him a very Louis levelup from.

    AP1GczN4UgUSvin81_EPilHCZgdtQWwaq5JF8_NY

Which makes the kill on the last on very easy.

    AP1GczNPhMlRSw-g_FobGUICS1vJhol22KRbS_G_AP1GczMuWQgkp2mHLlxtJEoXeBjHvBen-Ep0s5hN

I am starting to reposition some of the southern army in anticipation of the bosses doing Something...but in the end it is a very boring enemy phase.

    AP1GczN2NrzhTDtHSRqA2w25FHo5NjcSimx8VCix

And now I have a dragon to deal with in the north, and opening with some free Override chip seems like a good start

    AP1GczMOJIxPjpC2LBZ-1GbBrhWLQtJyfiKcZPuq

With Fogado getting in just enough chip here so that

    AP1GczN5d6p93GfIHuCtK7VVVv4_34l7X4LkUh_s

Ivy can finish the tanky beast before it counter kills her.

    AP1GczObEOd-lQvhfkic8NbOe7mzxI9Ucgq_iq88AP1GczMcBKFSVsC3gsg88aNAFl7asA6AnMhItNpI

Although at this point more enemies are heading to the south, so I get the southern army back in position to deal with them

    AP1GczOiPx5s1nXaaNtMERfoxejZLkl1T_Lg1vbb

With Alfred in position for the enemy phase chip.

    AP1GczOcOaDxEDvD3GAqwNG9MOG6LdhLCldxBy8l

Although with Marni finally starting to move, things might get a little dicey.

    AP1GczOaML0kyElxpMr8U6q_8kY78lS6azeVMcy7

Panette can open the turn by finishing the chipped foes

    AP1GczPUFFdEKqranA9jHAOhVvcS13OBrfssZQOU

For a nice little levelup on her.

    AP1GczPALJ4TXi5nmOLDOWAnM4xObIUWQx2P7H3f

In the north I am just getting ready to go for the Dragon Shield house, while

    AP1GczOK9tY6EE5zVFREvcLDGXAUZhYnIDVYaSbV

While I pull back more in the south due to pressure from the southern Wyrm.

    AP1GczNlpAI1rLdEC8AJnRGpxvp2LDo7rO395qte

Although this time it is Bunet getting in the enemy phase chip

    AP1GczOZAuAkgY4tvKDRwI6jUSS_1R705TbAGrP1

And this god of a man is determined to prove all the haters wrong with the most timely of crits.

    AP1GczMYc7tG7hByKYfE_EVFC_fxzX8kn8q4nY_t

Alright, I can't put this off any longer, as I need the Engage still going to get away with this...

    AP1GczO86KtnFkEAHuQs7X26d32-_SSa7DcUgrEH

Although I made a fairly clear mistake last turn. I should have Engaged and called the doubles with Fogado, as that would let him get a kill on one of these fools, with Ivy Repositioning him to safety afterwards.

    AP1GczNbnda0_AHtMwqeUuCjwVh1fZUvEVaCApTQ

Although the south has a wyrm to deal with, and wracking up the chain attack damage seems like the best route, so I get a tiny bit of chip here while I am setting it up

    AP1GczMpBf2m7c7E3dAsBG7m-BQFfrJKCta9ikdm

Similar sort of idea here, but much more chip

    AP1GczPxr_AKqZerk0FCfOy2kYPwa8jdjCnSxsrZ

Especially when one of them is a crit. What is this monster of a man cooking with?

    AP1GczOleKNg4rjtZo-GqeeQjZdrwHGPvmWCD99M

Regardless, Alfred gets the kill, with the crit from Bunet letting him avoid a counter

    AP1GczNr2CVIonGhp365yCWKyLQbSs5iyU6kdUqH

With Alfred getting a speed levelup from the beast.

    AP1GczNkCF1NIuTGaPVXuTvVFLfmJK4j6Ewde-NN

Things are in a bit of a mess in the south after that wrym attack, but for some reason Mauvier and Marni are just wasteing time by clustering around the middle of the map for some reason, so I have the time to regroup.

    AP1GczNDF-2rGaY0QqO9neP8-fETqc0G_lKXU8O9

But I messed up my calcs bad in the north. I miss read it, and though they only deal 5 a hit, so now

    AP1GczOlfivzGej8-mE5nUKkILRFqbJ42knm7THO

Even with one of the chain attack misses, Louis can die. Worse yet, if I had only not forgot to equip Pair Up, like an idiot, Louis would be fine. With the rest of the attacks hitting he is probably going to die.

Sorry Louis, I really failed you

    AP1GczO-HhAAluP3k-o_vhVrpSJtTTPcR1HoQ6TR

I was entirely ready to catch an image of his death quote here. When it was happening I didn't even register that these guys hit 5 57s in a row to make it this close (with two of the chain attack missing to emphasize my weird luck).

He lived, by about as little health as he could, but HE LIVED. With that

    AP1GczPQpX_Y8IZ-SGGaenP8Hz58AFEuEJ3eu8EW

Fogado can kill one, so Louis can use the last turn of Sigurd move to escape (and burn a vuln so I could enemy phase one if I wanted

    AP1GczOSTSIbg_bw6MyeIbb8fx1aX6z80sHWDz3k

Although I end up using a freeze to keep them from hitting Fogado, which might not have been all that necessary.

    AP1GczO2mQ8TLh0w6CjqJE6UErURQSepX3UdVAcE

I also have TeeHee grab an Engage refill just in case I need a Goddess dance to deal with the two bosses.

    AP1GczM3adZ9kAuN4wm1CY-TTRJUZ5fWbF292eieAP1GczPrcKeFx98UEg35eew7L3qpuSsJekcWUvTw

I am out of enemy phase for now

    AP1GczMh58ywUPiA4b2GyTMCll4Y_T4rfkhdeG4H

That lets Fogado finish a chipped one in the north while cantering to safety

    AP1GczNzPptvNQRwYb59-w2e9KKWLRS_VYlENgl0

While I am repositioning the southern army. Also the enemy has decided to make a giant cluster in the middle of the map for some reason.

    AP1GczN_DRsvDDIok4NoPA1IpFcvDjUGR38rV9UJ

I also healed up Louis enough with Ivy for him to get some chip in

    AP1GczOugVqJ39WVE9OnhCe5Yj-4EK4mxEsc8yZh

So come player phase I let him grab the kill.

    AP1GczOmGRZtNrDF0Ol4Mr9Qq0ABE9UtjWYbZN2P

I also start chipping away at the physicers in the center.

    AP1GczPlW1ylnfenGwEzJADS3v7HDKQEF5hQJ_pI

I really hope I can draw in that formation just sitting there in the Miasma. Something I did here really broke the AI of the big rescue-warp strat that Mauvier is supposed to do with Marni, as I now have this giant diamond formation in some impenetrable miasma...

    AP1GczNis1Ien7aJIDL8RucROCXKo5nSqpAnCClI

Seems like the Physicers will kill themselves on enemy phase if their AI isn't telling them to heal.

    AP1GczNdcJGj6AyJdP-SFtUc3uwmkH9ZLWhyfsB_AP1GczPzJcxprZ4-UfSReHrtK-Z8bZa3qMOppjxM

In retrospect, I should have gotten kill before fogging up, but worse case scenario here is that he kills himself on Merrin on enemy phase.

    AP1GczNfTTZXsaDHnEAWqWH4WqWJvMeRDGfk7pAn

And it earns Ivy a rare luck levelup

    AP1GczOS990H3WOQj2DvelyZK0c-FuG8NuO9Py_J

Its time to see if any of the enemy will leave their miasma dogpile to attack us

    AP1GczPfkSfwGwmcQuK1dR5g4o7klsOTG2i2hgWu

Phew. Looks like the AI isn't so borked that I have to slowly advance in with the fog. Well I guess I am still doing that, I just don't have to go as far this time.

    AP1GczN6xn8kSuk84YEAlScaeoAFkS9ZDH75PwbX

I also figure we might not even be close enough to fire bomb the bosses, so I repo Timerra over.

    AP1GczO-zyYLcz23Uq28zD-Z4-zPzi9p3ygxPzwg

I also start getting Louis in position to help bait together with Merrin

    AP1GczPCm_JgPp6p3KJKmrRaG26Mp023Ew8s4C-DAP1GczMDJvNhzvsP7T_jeyKqFcBcLqTY_mwA56dJ

And it starts working almost immediately.

    AP1GczNcjj49ReB6LfO55uIWV3yMwqgHlBgw-BQa

Fogado lucks into the kill a little unexpectedly here with some Dual Assist + procs

    AP1GczNcqbt528cbdF708yLlCereTyrNaNuQjUuF

While Ivy gets a far cleaner kill on the one Louis drew

    AP1GczOilX6t2wfSycRg2CB-DyRenIYh967mLNw3

I am being even more aggressive with the Louis baiting here

    AP1GczNOW-KohSk-5MLpmK3UhaxxUrcK1wotBCB1

And Mauvier finally uses his Rescue staff to unlock his movement.

    AP1GczPLUQX2be93cYbkDKtvz9XCU6nrAW0o9m7lAP1GczNLvDOWGF-LZdNDzDxNC3VnOywIGSgqcHx_

Our baiters draw in another foe apiece

    AP1GczNwVYiNdXzZ7tywtZ58QsfOfdx_EzKNU6fq

But now the only foe with magic damage can move, so I need to be a lot more careful with Louis.

    AP1GczObnb0BOg93UtSpS498v-jKGpMu5NHQtt6p

I try to feed the wolf kill to Timerra, but

    AP1GczO5GDQ8WSa7J_Mogu4P-aZIwxJaXHRfknZp

She had a miss so Anna picks it up instead

    AP1GczM_myVvc6GMtxzm-KqyJyjVkZayZWJpKVK8

While Fogado again gets the dual assist proc to secure a kill.

    AP1GczNRGcOrd-l6JmV8v3F4J5lvaR1jEvOD0gmO

With Mauvier (and presumably Marni) on the march, I am pulling back a tiny bit

    AP1GczN89mRo3Ik0X88MCXFmtRCjHQ-ojQUE8Y3e

Fortunately Mauvier is not a Mystic unit, so in spite of his bluster

    AP1GczNoFsaTyMSVxRA1YyIL_u0najD9oijeseHF

So he can't touch our some wolf

    AP1GczNaV78C2NnGZpFsRvcn85HoDZ2OTc5q2pey

This is why I was keeping Timerra back on the boat for so long (despite it being Ivy to pull the trigger), a beautiful little Flame Cannon hit on literally all the remaining enemies, two bosses included

    AP1GczNUGW1eoQoHRHTB5_pH5T4ho3YbvRQvY8OV

With both flames an fogs restricting movement, its time to thin the herds a little

    AP1GczM0H-dOSuKHRP7WBURRO1GSnXE6Jp8VqNlS

    Showoff.

    AP1GczMJzswLLiFDAWNfM2MLD5ZyTtS_ZTopmh5E

That is a second one dealt with, but in spite of what I said before

    AP1GczMXs0i3t1m881PQ7RbzCwn1v1xcV9ACEEF6

Mauvier still has an oppressive range, so I dance Alfred away

    AP1GczNiRi6_JqEhfdsvvAvSlWSUkih6HQSrF_Zd

And it gets Seadall a garbage levelup

    AP1GczMmydakpCO_nBEp5L-NctFouKXn3pcod3RV

I then cover Anna with a chain guard, and trade her over to the strongest bow I can

    AP1GczPVTZro2XF53cGLPmslMZ7J09bpas5mVUD6

As she is staying in Mauvier's range

    AP1GczMhs5uMvaegfFhzI1AtcK6LLSrEBdD8X4tj

And he goes for it. Tragically she doesn't quite have the power to finish the first health bar on enemy phase

    AP1GczNTPIX-N-8qDin1p5EeQF-k8cKuKAkTrh1S

While some of our other foes are still throwing themselves at our little fog wolf.

    AP1GczMIRl0CTPkhhlkPg0emmjuQ4TqLBfdoTX9N

And with Marni separating herself a little from the pack, I can make a very bold maneuver. I start by letting Anna finish off the health bar she almost broke on enemy phase.

    AP1GczNkbumeExLUVGea3813bcMlMOM7uxJpismi

And she gets a bit extra defense and speed from it.

    AP1GczOrWCbjY6Dmm9k0g2R9At5RzqtQokuhzTLB

Which triggers him to get some silence immunity

    AP1GczNfAkzfo7TbzcpyW0vxhyV-f4iwW8T6ncoG

Although the maneuver I am going for is switching from fog to freeze. Although this does mean I need to clear out that little box of troops there

    AP1GczNfceHstr7SQAMwe0uniu5g07G7pz7Vua_W

I start with Ivy burning through one

    AP1GczNCxSSCndChyjpQP8Yi2N8ySsYIFsHsYZ24

With Fogado's Radiant Bow burning through another, and that lets me

    AP1GczOe7mvr9x6sbDBbnQMYsNHVxMNfflPFnBMt

Give Louis the override double kill

    AP1GczODZmCcKho11K9wKiBrlzzzvVGyk1fozcIn

For another very, very Louis levelup.

    AP1GczMsp97RHGLLNfFynxnEsh5QjH-03ZxUU_oM

That let me deal with Mauvier a bit more safely, and I let Anna break another health bar after a dance from an even safer 3 range.

    AP1GczPeSjT3M_XXVV_ARx5ThPmrdUCNjpJLCpTA

Although that is all I feel safe going for at the moment

    AP1GczN_5lYUV36nWxufwzmtk8XFhrdQR0-6QTTk

And then the last remaining enemies all perfectly lined up for a perfect Torrential Roar here.

    AP1GczMGwCqSprHRDQFAiMlWpwg8IzBc5TypGyxM

After far too many close calls and never punisheds I intent to play things slowly and safely.

    AP1GczOsauEcrdMRYbo-J2j-p2MGhLDGXcnrRW06

It is time to start working on Marni, and dealing with her means dealing magic damage, and she even gets enough Dual Assist procs that Marni has to live it on the Hold Out skill.

    AP1GczN40IXSl-xjAe0Br7ORN6Ot-7KD5lENnvDQ

I am also playing it safe against Mauvier with another 3 range hit, but at this point

    AP1GczOjY5sq8nKKLJ5uI19cm-KBxoG7HjdC3M4W

I can go for the kill.

    AP1GczODrqptFRn1icc0A6v2wMR95dCUSrm1evuz

Sadly we still got a couple chapters before you join us, so get out of here.

    AP1GczMzkH7cR_srQj-KXVjV_2O8Vbbf-HS33Z7b

I also figured I should deal with the last of the generics while I am at it

    AP1GczPzsDQeGw_LcaAE6v2VpDVGk527KxodRI-c

As Panette crits for the kill.

    AP1GczMPGyjG0MmkzoihoXkBRYbtUeJN48ih0uON

And I have her canter into range to give her chain attacks against Marni, and after breaking the first health bar, Bunet will give his own Lucina assisted chain attack to cause of finishing things this turn.

    AP1GczMCl6UNl4XuxHWGW75feVFOv-PnUj7CMbr5

Huh, a magic levelup is a bit of an oddity for him really.

    AP1GczNjVvzpNi7YbXDyWTaSUfrS-mCeLpZtzB2m

I then let Framme use her fists to crush Marni's defenses

    AP1GczNzaaOwZB2GyQp8coLfKOT0ZPnj49Nyh_cy

And with a crit, Marni again has to live it on the holdout alone.

    AP1GczPa1yyqby6sj0UQPv_0Y3CdoFTK6vyy10_l

And after so long sitting on the sidelines of the boat, I let Timerra finish the chapter off with a Quadruple Hit

    AP1GczM0jEdcM-fU2g-NLXhzFXJHTJkcabAOUCq-

    Goodbye Marni.

    AP1GczOLuF2Xjneshl7H25uUDkE9ID8f-veEtbgt

The speed is nice, but I would like her to get a bit more from her levelups.

    AP1GczPgZtFlHA4UcKO5yPXNHy752ElbpbkLiWPu

Honestly, I should have used Fogado's Engage a bit better this chapter, and while I understand the game missing this, Merrin's work in the center is probably a lot closer to the MVP, as I suspect it is her work that messed with Mauvier's trap.

    *~*

    AP1GczNcXy7fa1styVI-Dbu05JcSTQux2HDHqGYb

And now we get one of the most powerful Emblems in the game, Micaiah and her staff manipulation. Perhaps I shouldn't dismiss Roy, as it is one of my favorite Emblems for units that need to catch up, which is something rather important for an ironman run.

    AP1GczOYxvsQ1q9w2fvmdhpDYujk6eP2ZUhDnDw0

    But they can't fall here...

    AP1GczMuWijbmBmmpDoW6hQe_pa8dRzB6v7ZTeTe

But first we get to hear the fate of TeeHee's little sister.

    AP1GczPHrw2Uz-m-heIMBc43tF_kE2d3BXCF-XhKAP1GczM-3KyJ-6FaR2LRtdjmm3GttpmbsQi4a0uu

And it is dire sounding news, that falls a little flat after all of Zephia's failure in attempting the detruction of the good Veyle from before.

    AP1GczMJLnuov-YKULSsEdoHOszYpAq5bxTk-4OY

I guess Mauvier is starting to have doubts, and perhaps these feelings are a bit fresh.

    AP1GczPwGMC6QhRdHZCt5P_M053Y8lBHF46nMvWc

It has been what we have been doing the whole time, why would we all change now?

    AP1GczNduOhAfiNqykfOrmPFh63jaDgWlDoVB1uv

And that is a far better reason to let Mauvier go this time, than we have had before.

    AP1GczPvmcQ36UAD1hF4zXzBnLkCqGRU0KkeGbHK

They really are great Emblems to get back, but I must admit Micaih comes with a bit of a pickle of who to give it to for me...

    AP1GczPxArYAz-hEGKD8aSZm-OMRwyuFX92eBkI_

That is a bit of a no brainer there Roy.

    AP1GczN1uQaw-PFogs_ZGYrrb-JLNnhPgYrDH6_U

He sort of gave up on sovereign blood half way through the monarchs

    AP1GczOKmMS1wbqy8qWrMzkpF6F66GHhkVwwf4zx

And I guess moved on to consuming entire nations.

    AP1GczOHW4lH_ng833ZoMVdp0A8s-z89P-XV1Ne4

Although that is a dark veiw on things, that we are at the point of wonder if people even remain in a nation...

    AP1GczMmJnAfPeOjsNRpxlAQEKypZbWwj3sRA8Fe

Time to drive those dogs into a corner...

    AP1GczOqCpB8W-B071rAhg86aRXuGkbvwy8zWCIi

We also get a sad reminder in the exploration section about Anna origin as a Elusian.

    AP1GczOIsMorTzglP0QxaEsbw4zUFThPganuik4t

Phew...that is a really tragic thing to realize

    AP1GczN2glrTHca-g-41NOapfWu49uRN3_F_hOrk

Even the great cooker of crit feels the impact of this lost town, and he isn't even all that connected with Elusia. There is something so tragic about never having the opportunity to meet people you wanted to.

I am not quite sure whether I will do one more paralogue before reaching the checkpoint or not, but the end of section is finally in sight.
