On Joshua, He sucks. I think he should be even lower than he is. On Ewan vs Rennac, With the 10/5 rule, as opposed to 10/1, Ewan is greatly improved. Like PKL said, he can get the energy ring by himself which is important for freeing up your other units. Ewan has 1-2 range, and can go Summoner for Phantoms which is honestly better than mage knight. Rennac's item finding is free, He really should be focing on getting items in Chp 15 so having him fight is actually a negative, Either promotion path you choose for Ewan, Rennac's range of attack is lower. Rennac is just a promoted Marissa who comes later and doesn't cost any turns. 10/5 Ewan is "Knoll 2.0". He make all the same contributions that Knoll does + gets us the very important energy ring. Ewan >> Rennac Oh, and he should be above Knoll, obviously.

Well Aeine, using your interesting scoring method above, (which I do like) I suppose Titania would have a +1 for Chps 1-11 and the rest would be the same as Oscar. Making Tits > Jill > Oscar. I think Titania tier should be removed and the top tier should look somthing like this: Marcia Titania Jill Oscar Kieran Agree, disagree?

If you draft Franz dont draft Gilliam. They both want the Ch 7 Knight crest. After Franz, Gilliam is the best choice for the Ch 7 Knight crest.

So before Jill exists, Oscar is obviously better. When they co-exist, Jill is either better than Oscar or the same as Oscar. As far as Oscar always having a LV lead, not true. Jill can bypass obstacles and expose herself to more combat allowing her to close the gap between her and Oscar. Then the Muarim and Oliver (and other) bosskills will help Jill overtake Oscar's LV. "Opportunity costs" and "optimum resource bundles" are silly. Assuming they get the same resources for making an argument doesnt make any sense either. Jill usually wants a speedwings, Oscar does need a speedwings. Different characters have different weaknesses, therefore they need different resourses. In the end I can understand Oscar = Jill, and maybe ever so slightly better than Jill. But he is certainly not better than Marcia.

I agree with Marcia and Jill being above Titania. In my current playthrough, I am 1 turn better than Aeine's at Chapter 12, and Titania has only reached LV 5. I could completely drop her from the team and not suffer at all. How can she be the absolute best character (who is in her own tier), if she is completely expendable after Chapter 11?? Oscar > Marcia and Jill is idiotic. How can you even try to argue this?

L'arachel way up. She is a late 5th early 6th round pick. You want a hammerene bot. Lute down. She cant reach warp in time for Chapter 16, unless you are getting bad TCs. Switch Cormag and Lute. Cormag is the Ephriam route version of Tana, and he is waaaay better than Tana. Joshua and Syrene are 7th rounders, they are worse than Dozla. Joshua just never does anything special. He is the same as Eirika on her route, and Idk about Ephriam route. Syrene is useless as long as you have a warper. And if you failed to draft a warper you did something very wrong. With the 10/5 rule for Ewan, He is definitely > Knoll. Making him a mage knight is useless though because Chapter 14 is the last time we need canto mounts, and I doubt he can get 5 LV ups in 2 turns of Chapter 13.

Snowy, no one ever says that Stefan and his Astra can get forges but Mia cannot get a forge. If anyone HAS ever said this then you are correct, it's terrible logic. If anything, people argue that Mia needs forges or unique weapons to compare to Stefan's damage output with common weapons. If Astra activates you will do a minimum of 2.5x damage for that 1 attack with roughly an 80% chance of doing 3.5x and it has a potential to go up to 7.5x damage. Astra lets you do more damage. How can you say it is bad? Its not super good but its not bad. The only detriment is that it consumes weapon uses faster. An Astra user should only have buyable weapons anyway so if anything Astra makes us spend more money. We get alot of that stuff in this game. Just keep your SM away from armor knights and you should be fine.

Nope, I just went through this in Aeine's 117 HM clear thread. You need an extra shover (with a full team) by promoting Mia/Soren/Illyana or you need a promoted Boyd who can take/drop Ike. A 6 turn clear while getting Marcia is impossible for a draft.

Marcia doesnt need Oscar for a 7 turn clear of Chapter 9... Marcia either recruits herself on EP4 or is recruited turn 5. On turn 5 she rescues Ike and full moves. Turn 6 she full moves and gives Ike to Tits. Tits then full moves and drops Ike in range of seizing. Turn 7 Ike seizes.
