Overwhelmingly disappointing batch of refines. Gunter's refine is decent. Gives him a bit of support and utility. He debuffs likely the bulkiest unit on the enemy team while buffing cav/inf allies for the same stat as well as himself. It's a nice little buff that he can stack with drives and a chill for support utility. The weapon isn't the problem. The problem is it's on Gunter who just doesn't have the stats to utilize this weapon as anything other than a support bot. He's shoehorned into a support role which is one newer units fill better due to overall superior statlines. He's servicable, it's just that there's still little reason to use him. He needed an OP weapon like the newer units and he didn't get one. Expected, but still a shame. Guess it's time the old man retired. Eirika's refine is worthless. I figured they'd take the 100% HP requirement off and give her an additional effect. Instead they doubled down on it. Giving her a decent stat boost when her opponent is at full health, but the tome remains worthless in any other scenario. Removing penalties is a nice bonus but it's just a cherry on top of an already mediocre cake. A blade tome is still better which is sad. To think I was prepared to use dew on my +2 Eirika. Hard pass. Gaius refine is a weird one. He only get a few more points of damage from his % increase along with Darting Blow 2 but he's pretty fast so it's decent. Then if the opponent is at 100% and he's got an AoE special he gets true damage added during combat and a flat +7 added to his AoE special. They are neat perks that help him and they carve him out a little niche but they aren't enough to help his abysmal damage. If anything though, the true damage during combat will help seal the deal against opponents he'd normally do a flat 0 to so it's a servicable refine. I don't think it's enough to put him on par with a lot of the other daggers but those who love him and want to invest in him will be able to put in work. Special Spiral and Flashing Blade 4 seem like pretty great choices for his kit also. He's the clear winner, but only if you plan to +10 him and invest at the highest level, otherwise keep moving. Ursula's is trash. It's literally just Matthew's refine on a Wolf tome which is unbelievably lazy. What's worse is that it's on a weapon with no natural debuffs which means she either relies on team comp or is restricted to Chills, Threatens and Smokes to increase damage. The only bright side to this set of refines is that I don't have any real investment in any of these characters or units so I'm unaffected. I will say though that the idea of a +SPD Flashing Blade 4, Special Spiral, SPD Smoke, Darting Blow/Brazen ATK SPD Gaius with his refine sounds pretty fun. Like a Mini-Igrene. EDIT: I think a build like this would be pretty good for Gaius. +12 True damage whenever he's faster than his opponent which is basically all the time. Special Spiral which will proc and FB4 will get his special ready immediately, Rouse SPD/DEF for additional speed on the constant (Rouse ATK/SPD would be ideal if it existed at the time of writing) and Darting Blow basically for insurance but Swift Sparrow if you want a bit more kick would work just as well. With a build like this Gaius would need a round of combat in order to get going unless you run Quickened + Time's Pulse and ran him on a double IP team. But as soon as his special is ready (Which it would be after a single round of combat he's good to go. @XRay Your thoughts?

Thanks for the clarification. That's actually pretty bad then imo. Probably wouldn't summon for that. Interactions with Special Spiral would be interesting, but not spend orbs on exclusive fodder interesting.

Pulling Bramimond sadly wiped me out of all my orbs. Was it worth it, maybe but with my paltry amount of orbs I doubt I'll be able to pull any Lyns or Hectors. Waiting the week out hoping for at least one merge.

Banner is a safe skip. Tickets only, might not even spend any orbs. Rinkah is the star, she seems like a beast, I just have no connection to her character, am building a million other green units (like my Ross) and it just... doesn't really seem like I have any real incentive to pull for her. Distant Foil is cool but obviously I'd have to pull 2 of her for that and lol not happening. I don't have the orbs anyways. Midori is cool. I pulled Igrene (though -ATK) so I have no need for another red bow and while Close Foil is cool and could be for Matthew, he fights a lot of freaking dragons, possibly more of those than anything so I don't think the trade off is worth it. Her weapon is cool though, it being inheritable is probably the coolest thing about it. Mini-pulse smoke is dope. Don't need her though. Lilith is really freaking cool actually. Her weapon and support partner boost make her fantastic. Not that great in the hands of the AI though. Between Naga for AR and Ninian for everything else I lack a real use for her though. She's Drive ATK 4 fodder obviously but I'm in no position to pull for that, so, meh. Forrest is trash. Looking like a girl doesn't save you from your tragic fate as a male demote. Res Ploy in the *3 pool is cool though. Pretty much just going to pull red/green with the tickets. Blue if that's not an option and bounce. Good position to save orbs.

Given his high speed, Close Call could be a nice option for him alongside adaptive damage or maybe ATK/SPD +5 during combat to proc his effect easier.

@mcsilas Nice pulls on B!Camilla and Saber! The latter seems to like you and I wouldn't have minded a B!Camilla myself! Granted I most just want one so that the rest can be ATK/SPD Push 4 fodder but still.

With CYL in mind, it's a nice thought that I'll be able to grab Claude or Edelgard who will probably be my picks. This means you can get one for free and then spend the 130-150 orbs and get the other one you want. CYL is a September banner, is it not?

With him in place I might actually consider building a real defense team which I haven't done for either season simply because I don't care. Plus I'm definitely going to try to get another one of him in August to fix his nature.

So... this channel eh? - Don't care much for the revivals, I've beaten all of these and I don't particularly merge GHB units or care to but it's good to have them as fodder in some situations so that's cool. Or if I want to do clears or something of that caliber. - Special Heroes banner doesn't really interest me, pantsless kid Marth is neat but I doubt I'll have a need for him. It's one of the better special heroes banners though to be sure. We'll see what the full banner looks like. - New Heroes banner doesn't interest me BUT I SEE SOMEONE IN PARTICULAR @Stroud GET IN HERE AND WATCH THE FEH CHANNEL. This banner for me however looks like a solid pass. Midori having CC and Rinkah having DC (either in her weapon or as an A skill) adds appeal to them from a fodder perspective. - Free *5 is hit or miss sadly. Blue has some nice units and Tsubasa is the clear prize but you could be that unlucky guy and get an M!Robin or F!Corrin. Red has winners like Lyn (I WANT), Chrom (merge/free Aether), Ike, Elincia, Leif (new unit at least), Celica and the Byleths. But there's too much trash that you have an equal chance of getting. Green is the clear winner but you know more than half of players aren't even going to get a green stone in their summoning pool and colorless... just kill me now. Hoping for green, if that's not a thing I'm going to pull a red and hope for the best. (God don't let me be one of those cursed 1% that has a full colorless circle...) - Limited hero battles are cool and unique and something that definitely freshens things up. Doesn't effect me so much though seeing as themed clears was a thing that I'd already been doing for the longest and... I'm just going to laugh at the FE7 maps for obvious reasons. Fun stuff though and more Divine Codes are always nice. - GOD YES DEMOTIONS. NO MORE TRASH PITYBREAKER PYTHONS AND THEAS. Altena was left out but she's a *5 I wouldn't mind pitybreaking me I guess so she'll wait until next year which is alright. The best part about this though is that due to the nature of the new system we'll never have any more trash pitybreakers on the new hero banners since the *4 focus will immediately enter the *3-4 pool. I wonder if this means they'll never do any more mass demotions... which means Altena could potentially never become a *3-4 unit.... I don't know how excited I am about the prospect of that. But I'm thinking too much, overall a great change. Plus Drive ATK is finally in the *3 pool. - Lost Lore Spoils just looks like a shorter version of LL with no strike. So... kinda pointless but fine I guess. - Finally the guaranteed *5. It's pretty fantastic though the orb count is kinda steep. It's kind of just a reward for those who have already committed to pulling on a banner. But for those pursuing a unit on a new banner the deal couldn't be sweeter. This effectively means you have a 100% chance of getting that unit you want on a new banner if you have the orbs for it. This makes me personally excited because it means I'm guaranteed to get Edward when he drops if I have the stash for it. Still... I can't help but wonder just how amazing it would have been if this had been applied to all banners (except weekly revivals). I guess it would have been too busted for Legendaries/Mythics if you could get the focus unit so quickly. Overall this was a decent FEH. Nothing groundbreaking but nothing bad either which is a step in the right direction. So, 6/10. EDIT: OH YEAH! How could I forget the best part of the channel?! Feh's voice is everything. It feels so natural and not forced or annoying. Sothis' VA is absolutely perfect for her.

Guess that still rings true. I did all the 10th stratum quests in one day and built my self up from 0 to 22 orbs and went back into the banner. This guy showed up in the very first colorless stone. No, I'm not quite my nephew, swap out that +ATK for a -ATK, but I don't even care. The guy is awesome and +RES isn't bad either. I got him and even have a Dark Mythic for Light Season which is the icing on the cake. 9 orbs in my pocket with a few more to gather but all I have to say is: worth it.

What are the accessories for the tap battle rerun? Is it finally my time for the sunglasses or should I even bother wasting my time?

Crazy times and I'm pretty much as busy as I was before but I'll get to responding to stuff soon enough. I'm just gonna go ahead and rip the band-aid off here. My stash is gone. An unpredecented 130 orbs I had, down the drain. The mythic was worth it for me and I wanted him so I pulled green and colorless. Half way through I got another F!Grima. Worst case scenario. Didn't even bother taking a picture. I'm not even really depressed or sad about it... just kinda feels empty. The orbs were coming in slow this month and I knew there was a chance of nothing, but looking at his return in august it felt like it was worth it to try. I know a splurge of orbs is going to come in tomorrow but I can't help but feel like I've blown my chance for Lyn merges. Still I can't help but feel like it was worth it to try, so oh well. Life goes on, especially during times like this it's better to remember what's important. Outside of the legendary I was saving, got this going for Shannan though. +SPD so there's a choice between her and the +ATK one I've got which is cool and all. It was dry from there until the Mythic which... you already know how that went. So... now let's talk about my nephew's pulls... I can't tell you how many emotions went through my head upon pulling this guy on my nephew's account. Anger, envy, disbelief, in less than 30 orbs he shows up with the optimal +ATK/-HP nature. It fills me with obscene levels of salt and yet I'm somehow vindicated and... or relieved to see him. At least If I want to I can build him up and take him for a spin like I did with Igrene when he got him. So... since I'm hating on my nephew let's just look at some of his recent pulls. That Ross is +ATK btw... And let's not forget these from way back when. Let it be known I don't have a single one of these characters on my account (just as I don't have W!Sothis or Ophelia, both of which are +ATK for my nephew). I love my boy, he deserves an awesome barracks, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous. At least I can tinker around with his stuff though.

This is actually feasible. Sonya and Limstella (despite the latter's genderless status) are attractive looking female/femenine characters and Ephidel could pass for androgynous at the very least. Limstella alone could carry a banner and Nergal would be shoved into a GHB role. A banner like that is very possible, just a question of when if it did happen. It could drop in the Fallen Heroes banner spot of the year for instance. As for Brammimond, he was completely out of nowhere Athos, Rhea, Ashera, I was completely prepared for one of these units so this guy was completely out of left field. Regardless of what he has become Brammimond was born male so I will refer to him as "him". His tome is unbelievable. If you have a decent ATK stat? screw you. If you have a decent SPD stat? screw you. If you have debuffs? screw you. Then he shuts down not only the buffs to increase RES against him but all drives, spurs, goads, everything. Nope, no support. 1v1, Final Destination, no items. And if you're stronger he compensates by turning your face upside down. And he's my favorite color so if you're not a raven tome or Nagi then you're completely and utterly screwed. Plus he's a Dark Mythic so he's about to screw over thousands of people in light season. Matthew will still wreck him though, so no worries there for me. Needless to say I want him. I don't have Brave Camilla like most other people and ATK/SPD Push 4 fodder would be nice so she's not a dud for me like she'd be for other people but F!Grima is a dud on the other hand. Red and Blue do nothing for me (Still don't have Y!Tiki but it's not worth pulling a useless Fjorm and Peony is not currently a merge project). Green is solid, I don't have 2 of the 3 and my Thrasir is -SPD so I'd love a better nature or some Flashing Blade 4 fodder. I still want to save... I have an unprecedented 122 orbs, more than I've ever had and I want to keep building it. But I do want Brammimond so I'm going to feel things out this time. See how things look, the orb flow and all that. But colorless treats me generally very well, so I pray it does the same for me here. Pulling green and colorless a bit and then going to hold back until the last day ideally.

Funnily enough both me and my nephew both pulled sheena. His was *4 but it doesn't really matter. Only did the free pull on the Regal Rabbits banner to try to fix the bane on my Veronica. No such luck but no orbs wasted as there is literally no value for me in pulling on this banner so I'm good. Moving on.

....Suddenly... I feel less bad about the 12 orbs I spent when I didn't get anything from the banner. The game knows what you want most. The idea of +10'ing a unit is terrifying when you have results like that, but I know you'll get her in time. Don't give up and best of luck. I'm a little late but I've got +10 Matthew, Serra, Lukas, Nino and I'm still on the fence between +ATK or +SPD OG Chrom still so he's +9 and M!Morgan is +7 because I'm lazy and haven't merged him up yet even though I have the copies. For the other +10's I'm looking at Ross (duh) Fae, Kagero, Sothe, Raven, Athena, Odin, Kaze as potential candidates. For the *5's I doubt I'll have more than one or two of them but besides of course OG Lyn I'm looking at Lute, Amelia and maybe someday? Hector and NY!Alfonse.

12 orbs down the drain. Chance for a Petra or Catria, no dice. Took a chance on the green for a Ross. *4 Camilla, blegh. Feels bad, but it's chance pulls like that that are the reason I have more than a few of the *5's in my barracks, so I can't regret. Just nothing there this time. Moving on.

I'm just autobattling with Fae, Altina, Duo Alfonse and V!Silque while I work. Good times.

Everyone out here talking about their *5 +10s and here I am with my +3 Lyn... and +3 Mia... and +3 Lute... and would be +3 Hector if I merged him. And... +3... Swordhardt and... what is it with me pulling 4 of the same unit?

Yeah so... I got a five star too... heh, yeah I got a five star alright. Yep. Pretty sure this is the second worst thing I could get, worst thing being a Mercedes (Elise is pretty bad too though). Of all the pitybreakers in the colorless pool, and there are glorious ones. Still this feels generous if anything after the - SPD Pythons and the -ATK Thea I've pulled in the past. Can't wait for these units to be purged from the pitybreaker pool in April hopefully.

It loses a lot of potency without DC I think. The Brazen would prevent doubles from nearly every source but I don't think that would offset the lack of being able to counter at range and ultimately that would hurt him. Maybe something like Rouse SPD/DEF or ATK/SPD as a soft band-aid. But... basically yeah... I really should consider building an Ares. I only have 2 extra Hectors now though since I gave my 3rd to OG Chrom. Maybe I'll try to grab one on the revivals coming up. Can never have enough DC.

Promising pool of 2 blue, 2 red and one green. 4 out of 5 were 4 stars but sadly not even S!Narcian showed up. Last red was a *3 Hana. Ultimately a waste of orbs. Unlike most banners with Tempests however, I won't be spending TT orbs immediately on any of the current banners which is an opportunity to stock up.

I've been hearing things about that too. I wonder what it is and why it's specifically Lewyn that runs the build. I'm kinda just waiting for them to throw us a cockroach type of unit with a Prf Miracle with 4 cooldown and some sort of way to proc it virtually every round of combat and a built in Mystic Boost so the only way to kill them is to double them in a round of combat but then they're extra fast or extremely bulky. This type of thing would be pretty perfect for Shirou or Berserker if we got a F/GO Crossover. But I'll shut up about that.
