Not to sound ungrateful but... 1 measly orb for 1000 kills is a serious ripoff. You get 1 orb for killing one enemy with Alfonse. C'mon it should have been 10 orbs or at least 5. Anyways...

I said I was done with the banner after pulling my 3rd pitybreaker. The rate was a flat 3.00% and with it's departure that would be the end of those units for an entire year. So with a shrug of the shoulders, I went in for one last summoning session. I was presented with but one blue stone.... I need to lie down.

Laslows is a bit cumbersome to activate but it makes him B!Lucina's perfect partner. If you have them both, support them ASAP. Morgan's is alright. Her SPD kinda sucks so even the buff won't save it, she's a better tank I suppose though. Jakob's is situational and pretty boring to be honest. Barst's is Amazing. Spectrum buffs are boring, but they tried to use their imagination more here, so the refines are decent. Laslow requires full invesment to be great so I'm going to pass on him. Probably not going to bother changing weapons for (or using) F!Morgan. But I'm definitely refining Barst's weapon.

Rest of my votes are going to Alfonse. I hate the idea of pushing L!Leif out because he's an amazing choice too. I can only hope his supporters are fervent enough to keep in in the top and Edelgard gets booted out. She's by far the worst choice. She's more useful to me than say, an Azura or L!Alm merge, but she's objectively the worst choice for everyone as far as a free unit for the masses goes.

Alm and Celica's duo skill heals allies for 30 HP and gives +6 to ATK and SPD. Pretty basic but very useful I think. Especially in PvE.

Close Guard seems really fun as a seal. I have S!Nephenee so I can run CG9 and DG9 on Rinea. With both at the same time that's two dancers and +12 DEF/RES at all times. That's nonsense.

How my score hasn't changed and I'm going to T16 is a mystery to me. Not complaining though. Might be going to T15 if I drop out. Around 813 out of 1000.

Bad week for me. I did Alegiance Battles early so I got the orbs but I never did Arena so I missed out this week on a potential 8 orbs. Sucks. I was stuck up until 6 AM and I was just so tired I couldn't bring myself to do arena. Should have just did one battle to get on the board. Oh well. Not the end of the world.

My biggest issue with Duo Hector or Alitina winning... or even characters like Lif or Sothis... they're all red. L!Ike is free, yes, he is outdated objectively speaking but he's still a plenty powerful unit everyone gets for free and he's useful in most modes and can be made more so with a little SI. Where as every unit I mentioned is superior to him in overall utility I think objectively speaking you're getting less out of the deal with another red unit. It just invalidates him further, rather than having an additional option. As far as the general player goes, something like L!Leif or L!Azura will have a better impact on every player's barracks. Duo Hector and Altina are fantastic red choices, but I think that powerful units in other colors are better overall for QoL. And that's my unbiased opinion because I don't have a single Duo Hero and Hector is probably my favorite FE character in general.

You disgust me. As for me? There were 3 blue stones so that made choosing difficult, I went with the top. Can't complain. Yeah I already have both LA!Lyn and H!Ilyana and of course it's not NY!Alfonse. But I love Nino and I didn't want literally half of the units in this color pool, so it could have been worse. She's +DEF/-RES and her kit is basically fully built already so she's ready to go out the gate. I'll pair her with W!Jaffar. Also got this on the Lif banner. Ironically there was one blue stone and it was the only stone I wasn't going to pull but I did it anyway and it was the only one that had anything valuable. So it was neat, or at least it would have been if I didn't already have a +10 OG Lukas. This is a bit redundant, but at least he's new. He'll likely collect dust but he's +ATK/-RES so, it's fine. Trying not to sound ungrateful but after a bit more summoning on the NY Banner I got my 3rd and final *5... this time it was blue. So I'm going to give up here. 400+ orbs clearly means this is in fact not my year for NY!Alfonse. It's a bitter feeling but I'm not flushing any more orbs down this toilet of a banner. Maybe he'll get in the top 8 of AHR but chances are it'll just be Altina who, while nice has no value for me since I have her already. No where to go but up from here. Gonna ride out all these discounted summons with what's left of my orbs and then back to saving. This time though, I won't be tempted by an appealing seasonal. I'm not doing this again. Ever.

Voted for NY!Alfonse for obvious reasons. NY!Alfonse, Lif, Sothis, W!Sothis, Nagi, Nailah, NY!Lethe, Idunn, W!Marth, L!Alm, H!Hector, L!Celica. All powerful and mostly rare units I'm sure more people would love to have. I'll be voting for some of these but there's a good chance I'll be all in on Alfonse unless we get mid-term results that suggest someone else winning. I see Altina being a popular choice too. That would suck for anyone that already has her since she has 0 fodder potential. But she eclipses L!Ike in overall utility across all game modes. She'd be a big QoL improvement for new players.

Now I want you to look at Soleil. A perfectly strong unit that's overshadowed by modern swordies. Her problem? Lack of Prf or strong inherent skills. Because of that she's inferior to a lot of swordies despite being respectable herself, but give her a Slaying Edge and a premium kit and suddenly she's performing at 80% of those shiny new unit's max potential. Lyn's prf is outdated, improve that and you could completely change the dynamic of the character. The 2nd biggest edge that new units have is the powerful skills and prfs they come with. a 39 SPD Lyn with Close Call 3 is a genuine threat. It's hard to merge her, that's her problem like you said, but remedy that (hopefully in April) and she'd be genuinely viable. Stats don't mean everything, but they're literally half of the reason why older units are outdated. Resplendent Lyn boosting stats is one thing. But what happens when she gets Sol Katti with a Slaying + Wo Dao + Holsety effect? Suddenly she's a tier 1 threat.

No. The problem isn't the price relative to the amount of orbs received, but the fact that general conveniences are locked behind it. It should be free, full stop. The orbs only really cushion the blow. In fact, best case scenario is that if it was $5 then the only thing you'd get for the subscription would be the quests and maybe the Summoner Support perk. For me? If you were going to charge at all, a solid $15-30 for a one time purchase would have been alright. Even if you wanted to be a little scummy and say $50-60 for the subscription that would have been fair. Instead of $120 a year (which is effectively the price here) you'd be paying half that for this year and every year thereafter. That would have been the way to make people pay, not this. This is not the way.

You guys are definitely downplaying Divine Codes. Merges are pretty meh, but the real point of them is that they're low key giving players very, very premium fodder. With a bit of effort, I'm not disappointed at all. I hate that you'll have to waste codes on useless manuals before getting to the good stuff but I like the flexibility they give you with paths at least. Probably the highlight for me. New and special heroes having a *4 focus in addition to a *5 focus is a really neat idea but I think they underestimate just how low of a percentage 3 is. I don't see this really fixing the availability issue for most players, but at least some will get lucky so that's pretty cool. Free stuff is always great. I hate that they cut down to 1 banner for the free summon instead of 2 though. You have an extremely low chance of getting any unit you're actually aiming for. Still it's free, can't complain. A Hero Rises is cool. Particularly because unlike last time with L!Ike there's no real clear winner here. I legit have no idea who everyone is going to rally for. Please rally for a powerful unit that helps everyone (like NY!Alfonse) and not be greedy with Hector or something like that. Sothis would be a nice pick also... EDIT:... Problem is the Voting Gauntlet. I could see this going really sour... yeah that was a terrible idea actually. SoV banner is an easy skip. But good for you fans of the game. Given the theme of the banner however, the choices are... odd. Alm and Celica are fine but... then you have stalker of Alm who's clearly taken... Celica's brother... ok... Silque... ok... still no romantic themes. And... King of kingdom... yep. Ok. Overall everything above actually exceeded my expectations by a little. You guys are downplaying 50% of the FEH channel. There was some neat stuff in here I think. Nothing ground breaking but them finally taking advantage of Combat Manuals is a pretty big thing. Especially if you're not swimming in fodder or you don't have specific fodder you want. Now... let's touch on the hard stuff. FEH Pass is cancerous.... Map conveniences, Summoner Support x3, an Auto-Replay and Rewind button and special quests for additional rewards? That's a lot... but then they hit you with the Gen 1 unit buffs... locking Resplendent Heroes behind a paywall is just scummy. It'll be even worse if they introduce new skills for those older characters. Resplendent Ike, Chrom, Lloyd, Matthew, I can see a lot of characters people will really want to be buffed and given fresh art and it isn't even remotely fair to lock even half of these benefits behind a paywall. The fact that I'm almost inclined to spend the $10 just for better Lyn should let you know how passionate some people are about these characters, it makes me kind of sick as well. If it was going to have a price it should have been a one time purchase of $10-25 or maybe a fee of $3-5 a month. But to be real, with maybe the exception of the FEH pass quests, every QoL change should have been free along with those heroes. This would have been a decent channel had the Pass been half the price, and an amazing one had it all been free. As it stands this is an outrageous cash grab considering how outrageous FEH's orb prices already are. I'm disappointed... You two underestimate +2 to all stats. With that boost a +0 Lyn has a spread of 39/30/39/28/31 which is pretty freaking respectable. 30/39 isn't a groundbreaking offensive spread by any means but with a boon she's looking at 33/39 offenses which is a pretty modern spread by today's standards. A lot of characters just need a little push to become viable or even good. +10 BST is actually a lot.

Such an unholy campaign for power would only result in another Duma. And those armors are? My quest for NY!Alfonse has left me with -300+ orbs and 2 -SPD Pythons. Barring the Sothis banner this is probably the worst time I've ever had pulling for anyone. I said I was done pulling willy nilly and saving unless a unit I really want shows up. I literally have spent a total of around 40 orbs in January across every banner except for the NY banner. I've spent every other orb I get towards getting him because he's probably the single blue tome infantry unit I want the most. His kit, gameplan, everything screams incredible fun. But nope, game refuses to give me blue stones and when I get greens I get literally the worst green pitybreaker in the game with his worst bane twice. What are even the odds of that? If not for pulling for him I'd be sitting on close to 400 orbs right now which is soul draining. Not as soul draining as not getting him after all this would be though. How is this relevant to armor dragons? Well, Nagi just dropped on a banner and I'd probably pull for her... if I wasn't still flushing all my orbs down the NY banner.... Worst part is that he's a seasonal... it's not like he'll come back any time soon. I literally have to wait until 2021 to try again for him barring maybe an appearance in a Mythic/Legendary where he shares with 2 other focuses. This game is so fickle..

When you come to the realization that you don't have a single colored armor dragon... No M!Grima, No W!Sothis, no H!Myrrh, no L!Tiki, no Idunn, no W!Fae. I don't have a single one. I only have Duma. I feel like I'm lacking power...

@BoaFerox Meanwhile I've only gotten 2 of him. Wish I was as fortunate as you, I get lots of Faes.... who I want to +10... but I've had 11 copies of her for probably over a year and she just keeps coming. Really fantastic Ross here. Considered him for Astra season but I'm still on the fence. DC/Null-C is a great combo but one I'm probably going to run on Brave Ike so I don't know that Ross would get it. His mixed bulk is great and QR makes up for his meh speed. I'm geared toward a more offensive Ross but I definitely like the mixed tank feel of this one. Plus using an EP build means you can safely run his superasset in ATK. I'm still on the fence on weather or not I want to use +ATK or +SPD since I'm kinda interested in a mixed phase Ross. But enough about me. Grats on getting him to +10 so fast.

Monthly Stratum Quest requirements halved (15 > 😎 All Bound Hero Battle rewards reset. Ascension System (6 Star Equivalent or Otherwise) Askr Trio promotions. Free 5 star of every individual player's choice. Crossover with Dragalia Lost

Let's not get ahead of ourselves... Fury will eventually become a seal. If they did what you suggest he could eventually run Fury 3 as a seal with Fury 4 in the A slot. That's +13 to all stats and 26 recoil damage per combat. A +0 Barst would 45 ATK, 45 SPD, 43 DEF and 30 RES. Hm... come to think of it, it's not that impressive given powercreep. Or the fact that the stat difference is not that huge and he would be virtually worthless after the first round of combat. Yeah, give it to him, it's fine.

The banner overall is pretty great. Blue is a stinker but Yune, Hector and Hilda for green is absolute love. Caineghis and Leif and great with Loki being a prime candidate for C Duel Infantry for my Matthew and Red is pretty fantastic as well with Lif being a fodder goldmine (DC AND Time's Pulse?!), F!Byleth being great and L!Eliwood being good if you don't have him already. Sadly all the orbs I've gotten have been poured into the NY!Banner for NY!Alfonse and I've been blessed with 2 -SPD Pythons after around 300+ orbs... giving up now is basically admitting defeat. Lif will come around again, NY!Alfonse I'll have to wait a whole year for. Banner's a pass.

Can't say I'm surprised looking at the midterm results. It's pretty much exactly what I was expecting with the sole exception of Lysithea who ironically is the most interesting due to not being another lord character to win CYL. If things stay as they are I actually hope she gets a spot. I like Claude and Dimitri seems cool but without playing 3H it's impossible for me to have a connection to these characters. Plus I feel really bad for Marth constantly having victory snatched away from him and it seems like every CYL Chrom climbs a little bit higher but victory is never quite in reach. Shoutouts to Itsuki and Chrom taking the 20th spot though. It's almost jarring to see a unit from that game score so high. On the female side Bernadetta is a bit odd but seeing 2 minor characters win on the female side would be crazy. I like Edelgard fine though (still haven't played 3H!) so she could win. I feel bad for Eirika though. I feel like her pioneering non seasonal alts was the nail in the coffin for her concerning CYL. I don't think she'll win this or next year. Her best shot imo is 2022 assuming the game even still exists. Seeing Nino and Sothis up there is pretty cool too though. Still feel bad for Anna having split votes. Plumeria though... really guys... really? Still voting for Edward. Whatever happens will happen, I want my favorite swordie to get as much exposure as possible.
