  1. Recruiting one other student was wrong. We've already seen both Raphael and Ignatz with the Black Eagles.
  2. Remember it would be House Charon, it exists just on the Faerghus-Leicester border. House Cordelia probably only obtained it through a Charon marrying a Cordelia and moving there.
  3. So she's got the crest of Charon, I wonder if she is closely related to Lysithea or if their bloodlines have been spread far apart.
  4. Blue = Player units, they can attack Red and Yellow units. Red = Enemy team #1, they can attack Blue, Green and Yellow units. Yellow = Enemy team #2, they can attack Blue, Green and Red units. Green = Allied Blue team = they can attack Red and Yellow units. Yellow is 100% just another enemy faction so we can have 3 sided battles. If they were on your side they would be green. This isn't like genealogy or Tellius' approach to yellow units, it's advance wars and wargrooves' approach. The yellow phase is clearly listed as enemy phase.
  5. We saw the Black Eagles in ch8 rolling up with 11 characters, Byleth + 8 Black Eagles plus Ignace and Raphael. I don't think they will be limiting deployment slots at all. I do get the fact that it is optional, but in the case of Gaius, this is clearly something you are advised to do. The game wants you to recruit Gaius because there is no pay off if you don't recruit him and he is the only natural thief in the game. IS doesn't add characters just to be ignored. I'm just scared that it will function the same way in Three houses, where the game expects you to be recruiting these character. If it doesn't and it really is a more obscure optional thing then i'll eat my words and be happier for it. But from the way it was presented I'm not sure if that will end up being the case.
  6. The thing that really makes me upset about this feature is that because say Lorenz can either be with the golden deer, or with one of the other two houses, it is less likely for him to be a relevant character to the story. Because I doubt that IS is going to make new stories and maps just for when a character is on your team, or if they aren't. If for example, Sylvain would have a compelling character arc when you fight him in other path, because of the fact that he might not be on Dimitri's side means they wont always be able to do that story line, which means they probably wont bother with making many of the students relevant in the first place because they could be on either side of the conflict.
  7. Yellow doesn't mean they are your allies. The only time we have seen yellow colouring in this game is with the king of beasts who was a neutral enemy that could be attacked by both Blue units and the Red units. So Dedue isn't helping you. he is fighting you as yellow is just another enemy type. Your allies are still represented by Green.
  8. Definitely Ferdinand instead of Bernadetta. Wasn't he the prime ministers son? That seems pretty important.
  9. I think it's worth mentioning that Gloucester(The duke of Gloucester) and Edmund are also characters in King lear. There seems to be a lot of references to that play in the Leicester alliance so i'm surprised Ignatz and Raphael don't have a reference.
  10. Probably because the fact that you can recruit more character means that if you choose not to recruit them, you might have a weaker team with less characters which might make the game harder. People who don't like the mechanic but also don't want to miss out on characters will be forced to use the mechanic in fear of having a weaker team. I myself am not a fan of the mechanic, but luckily I am also up for a challenge with less units, but not everyone feels the same as I do. There is also the argument that less characters=more exp per character and therefore stronger team, but we will have to see how the maps are designed before that gets truly settled.
  11. Yeah I am personally really not a fan of the student grabbing you can do, especially now that it is at least 2 probably more. I definitely wont be using it because I don't think it makes any sense for a student to change their house to a different nation's one and just abandon all their previous allies and friends because Byleth-Senpai asked very nicely and he's so cool and strong. I just hope it wont be necessary to beat the game using that feature and that it would handicap yourself with a smaller team and less missions if you didn't. Edit: Like Lorenz is literally the heir to one of the ruling families of Leicester, there is no way in hell you are telling me he would switch to the Black Eagles and go against his countrymen because Byleth has a sexy face and a hard-on for tomes. My favourite thing about Three houses so far was the amazing world building it had and how everything just felt like a real world and made sense. And then this happened. I don't think it will really impact the experience for me but I am a bit disappointed
  12. It looks like Hero is male only. That's weird. Also there are no Advanced pegasi which means I guess Wyvern is a strict upgrade for now and not male only. It also means that in the advanced tiers Males have Hero and Gladiator and Females get.........nothing.
  13. I don't get why everyone is treating Sylvain like a pervert or a creepy guy. He is just a chill brotherly figure who is a bit of a romantic. He is completely different from Sain and Virion because he is a nice person who people look up to and the girls probably like him back. One of my favourite characters so far for sure, I'm really interested by that beast having a Gautier crest stone and i'm wondering if that could be his brother who tried an experiment to artificially give himself a crest. Just a theory but I am looking forward to the relevancy of his brother in Sylvain's story.
  14. I mean I doubt all units can be recruited. Prime example being Hubert. Do you really think you will be able to take him away from Edelgard. I hope not at least, I'm not to big a fan of stealing characters either because I would've preferred if they were important to the story, but at least we don't take the whole class
  15. Press X to Disagree. I love them all but Dimitri looks too badass not to be the best.
  16. Honestly It would be: Dimitri, Ashe, Felix, Sylvain, Mercedes, Annette, Ingrid and Hubert. Yeah......Blue Lions with Hubert replacing Dedue. You can see how much I love this house. Nothing wrong with Dedue of course, I just reaaaaally like Hubert.
  17. Good point. I normally would love to look through the artbook before playing the game though I think I will try and hold off on that until I beat the game on all routes, just in case there are big spoilerinos.
  18. Yeah I didn't think Edelgard was that much shorter, but then again I don't think we've ever seen them standing next to each other. I can barely make out a blue belt around the guy to the girls left so I'm pretty sure that it is Dimitri. No idea who the one to his left is, though I assume they will all be somewhat important.
  19. You can tell by the white thing on her chest that it is Edelgard. She also has a robe which seems vaguely red. Also why would Lysithea be in a portrait with Dimitri, Claude and Rhea.
  20. What I want to know is who is the fellow in the top right with the eye patch, he looks quite evil and also badass.
  21. So after Annette's profile reveal I shall be moving her from C to A tier. That voice actor was just too adorable and she seems like a really sweet girl. Blue Lions just keep hitting it for me.
  22. The thing that is making me unironically love Lorenz is that his bio mentioned he understands the importance of his role as a noble. This makes me think of a character who on the side will be trying to woo girls and boasting his impressive feats, but he actually realises how unattractive and incompetent he is to others(Claude) and it starts to way him down. Then as his teacher you try to help him out and mold him into a more confident and more likeable person(Evidenced, by him asking F!Byleth for help in girls and if he is simply never going to find a girl for him). Plus it would be awesome to see him actually take conflicts seriously and genuinely try to help out Claude when planning a battle strategy. He has all the right signs of one of my possible favourite characters from this game and I really hope he is more serious and grounded than just Virion2.0 (But not attractive)
  23. Hold up, are people really hating on Hubert? The man is my second favourite character so far with Ashe at 1st and Felix in 3rd. I have also really started to care about Lorenz and I want to help fix his life so he is one of my favourites. Otherwise I mainly agree with the first list. Although I might move Dorothea and Linhardt up, and Lysithea, Ferdinand and Bernadetta down. So mine would probably go, S: Ashe, Hubert, Felix. (Jumping up and down in Excitement) A: Dimitri, Sylvain, Mercedes, Annette, Ingrid, Claude. (Really Excited) B: Dorothea, Petra, Dedue, Hilda, Lorenz. (Excited) C; Edelgard, Linhardt, Raphael, Marianne (They seem pretty cool) D; Ferdinand, Leonie, Lysithea, Bernadetta, Caspar. (Alright, nothing special) E: Ignace. (Not doing it for me right now) Overall I really like almost every character revealed so far, but Ignace will have to impress me before he gains my favour. Does anyone know how to stop a C and a D followed by a : from turning into a face. I had to use semicolon's for them instead.
