  3. Only attack Duma if you can be confident in the kill. Otherwise clear out every last thing surrounding him first. Remember, he has a long range attack, so you can probably aggro him to attack a squishier unit that's a bit farther away, around the area were Jedah was, that can safely tank the hit while being out of range to die from any of the other enemies. Use Fortify every single turn, even if it looks like you don't need it. If you can cast it, then there's someone somewhere than can do with a health top up. Better safe than sorry (and also remember to have a second Cleric topping up Taitana).
  4. Hold on a tick. How did Bryce know Gawain's allias was Griel? I kind of assumed he took that name precisely because he didn't want to be recognized by Daein.
  5. They were originally going to make a class line that in the third game and call it Guardian.
  6. Pretty much all of Ashnard's battle quotes are pure gold. It's just a shame that you'll never naturally view them unless you go out of your way due to the blessed armour. Tauroneo's one is perhaps my favorite. Ashnard: Is that you, Tauroneo? As I thought... You betrayed me after all.Tauroneo: ...Ashnard: In my father's time, there was a man who was one of the Four Steadfast Riders. That man grew old and useless, and retired from the front lines. How does his story end, you ask? Come, let us write it together.Tauroneo: Oh, my king... In all of Daein's history, perhaps no other ruler has used the talents at his command to the degree you have... But all the same, no other king has chosen a path so incredibly stupid.Ashnard: Heh heh heh... Will history judge me to be just or evil? We will not know until all of this is finished.Tauroneo: ...Now that I've confronted you and traded words with you, I have come to a decision. Throughout Daein, I, Tauroneo, will be known as the king killer. Come! Let me earn my name! (this conversation might even get a call back in Radiant Dawn with how you can shrug the responsibility of killing Pelleas to him)
  7. I must confess I find her pretty endearing. Though I do have a bit of a bias for all things dragon (her scramble convo with Tiki should have been a support! It's fantastic). Then again, I probably do find her more interesting than Fae or Myrrh (although those two fit into the story just a bit better than Nowi. Her role in the world, which should be important, is basically nonexistent).
  8. I don't like the idea of revealing Lewyn has been possessed by Forseti being revealed before the ending. I like the way it's casually dropped by Seliph at the end with a sort of innate understanding that the player has also subconsciously realised it. Him giving it to his child directly definitely should happen though and, in fact, there's already a perfect conversation for it in chapter 10 when one of his children pass through the valley in the middle of the chapter. Regarding Mystletainn, I have an idea I like. You can only get it if you killed Eldigan in Chapter 3. In which case Ethlyn picked up Mystletainn and passed it down to Nanna, who gives it to Aless in their first conversation. This results in a short term choice Vs a long term choice. If you talk to Eldigan, you get the Earth Sword immediately but lose a much more useful weapon later on. Faval is the one where it might possibly make sense for him to having it as he was sort of used as a weapon by Bloom. Valkyrie I could see being in Corple and Hannibal's possession, even if Corple isn't Claud's son. According to Thracia he was on a holy quest. Making it a quest to retrieve the Valkyrie would be a nice retcon. I do like the idea of a Sleuf cameo though.
  9. I'd like S Ranks that aren't marriage proposals. Just an extra fourth support that leads to higher bonuses and a paired ending.
  10. I like the idea of reclassing, but I think it should be completely limited to just one other class line. Too many classes and the unit loses their identity, but just one or two other classes, gives the character more identity. Like Shura being an Adventurer and a Ninja.
  11. From what I know of that map, I can't imagine it'd make any sort of difference to the strategy needed to win. Even the bow Knights don't seem like they'd make that much of a difference as they'll probably wont target the bulky defensive units you hold the choke point with.
  12. I more meant we've never seen a cultural group resembling the Vikings. Though while we're listing, Dice also rocks a pretty Viking look, http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Dice
  13. They can't in Fates though. Iago is hacking the game, giving him illegal weapon ranks and skills too broken even for DLC.
  14. The Fire Emblem series has gone far too long without Vikings of some sort.
  15. He does some how have the Hagakure blade in his possession in Birthright...so maybe he is a Hoshido spy.
  16. I think a good way to spice up Gen 2 story and gameplaywise would be if you have to earn all the holy weapons back, instead of them being part of the magical inheritance system. Last time we seen these weapons they were being roasted alongside their wielders. It doesn't really make much sense that they fell back into the good guys ands without something like Shannon attacking Tied for the Balmung going down.
  17. That's why I said with the original comment that you replied to that people should acknowledge and accept that their subjective opinion is subjective. At least that's what I was trying to say.
  18. I think the crit rate on weapons will be much less broken when they swap to the crit system of tripling damage and not attack. They modernized the crit system in all the remakes since Shadow Dragon, so I'd be surprised if they retain it.
  19. Best thing about his post Validar recruitment quote is that if you turn him down, he uses the exact same dialogue as when you refuse him normally, making for an extremely swift change in mood. That death quote is pretty cool. Kind of wish they made Kamui the gay one and made Leon some kind of nihilist (although it wouldn't be impossible to have both on Leon, then again Kamui's Echoes persona didn't make much of an impression on me.
  20. Of course everyone's opinion is valid. But there's a difference between voicing an opinion and repeatedly harping on a single point, phrased in such a way that it is an objective truth and that everyone who disagrees is trying to preserve bad flaws for the sake of it.
  21. Yeah, but you need to understand just because you don't like the gameplay, doesn't make it actually flawed. I like the item management, and the fact that so many people here argued in favor of it means a lot of others do. You might just have to accept that the Gameplay of Genealogy of the Holy War just isn't suited towards your subjective tastes.
  22. The problem is that there's basically no punishment for shooting an unarmed civilian. So subconsciously, the decision to shoot first becomes an easier one. Pulling the trigger becomes the instinctual response over telling someone to drop their weapon. And I think any police officer that does make that mistake should have their career ended. They've proven to be more damaging to society than beneficial by shooting so quickly at someone holding a mobile phone. If they can't actively identify a threat, then they can't be trusted to do the job. Harsh? Maybe, but there should definitely be some kind of repercussions for literally killing an innocent person.
  23. Using the Fates and Awakening system, you could just take all those really useful skills and put them on a unit that can actually deal and take damage.
  24. Chameleon Level 1: Mimic: Take on the stats (except HP), skills, appearance and weapon ranks of one ally for five turns. Level 10:HP Mimic: If this unit's HP < Target Unit's HP, mimic ally's HP too, when using the Mimic Command. Level 25:Capricious Mimic: This unit may use the Mimic Command while mimicking other allies (five turn limit does not reset). Level 35: Super Mimic: Remove the five turn limit from the Mimic skill. Summoner Level 1: Summon: Summon a Phantom with 1 HP. This unit can only summon one phantom at a time. Level 10: Vantage Phantom: Phantoms summoned by this unit gain the Vantage+ skill. Level 25: Armed Phantom: Phantom has a chance of being summoned with either a Killing Axe, or a Tomahawk. Level 35: Dual Summon: Summon up to two phantoms at once.
  25. Mustard's amazing. I pity anyone who cannot feel the joy of eating it.
