  1. Volug CRUSHES everyone. Everyone. Even the mighty Haar is no match.

  3. How well a character can do what? Since you apparently don't care about how fast you can beat chapters. That removed, I don't know what you're measuring things by. I haven't tested, so I say probably, but you can probably two-round every enemy and only take on a few at a time (due to durability or move or anything else) and still make bexp limit. What then can differentiate the units?
  4. I didn't read the rest of your post, but I'm very certain that Fir can't double and one-round fighters with a steel blade (and/or steel/killer axe) like Echidna can. I also saw you tried to compare Fir to Rutger. Rutger is good because he gets ninety-billion crit (and hit) (and avoid). Fir doesn't. Therefore, she is much worse. Also lol at you sandbagging everyone you compare Fir to. Fir joins quite underleveled, so her level is lower forever, unless you give her more exp, which has an opportunity cost attached to it that you've been ignoring. This isn't a ranked list, so there's no exp rank to help counter that opportunity cost. And Fir's supports are worse, and you counter that by nerfing everyone else's supports. Nice.
  5. @Cait Sith: It was not a "counter". @Cynthia: o noz he sucks for 1 chapter, and one that's he's forced in at that. Ch4 if you'll remember also has tons of pirates. Ch 6,7,8 you're using him anyway because there are chests, and even he can 2-round soldiers. EDIT:"and does like 2x2 to loldiers." Get your facts straight. Soldiers have like 0 def. Correction: Everyone is together. It's not like there are 5 different ways you can go and split up your team.
  6. because Chad is a good combat unit through ch 14x, with the exception of ch 13. As for constantly adjacent, he of course is not, but the support is so fast that it doesn't matter.
  7. If you aren't ranking and aren't afraid to make use of Marcus and Oswin early on, the entire game isn't very hard. Difficulty only goes up when you try to do things other than just beat the chapter, like trying to get the Guiding Ring off the boss on pirate ship, or getting all the chests in ch 17, etc.
  8. Don't forget Lugh's supports. B Chad pretty early, by 8x or so, or earlier if that's his only support, and a possible C Ellen not too long after that.
  9. What does this even mean? It's vague enough to have no meaning at all as it's currently worded.
  10. just watched Summer Wars I have quite a few that I'm in the middle of, but I don't have any plans to immediately finish any of them.
  11. Aircalibur says hi. Every chapter has wyverns until 16. Not that I think Cecilia > Ray.
  12. At base, she would do only 2 less damage than Soren with Elwind, so quite a lot better.
  13. His only use after ch 4 is to help you sell large numbers of items at a time, and even doing that costs you a unit. so he's not very high. Somewhere below Wolt.
  14. ^yep, exactly. Why Ray is worse: 12 Ray, Flux: 20.0 atk, 8.0 AS, 90.3 hit, 4.3 crit - - 21.0 avo, 23.0 hp, 6.0 def, 10.0 res, 5.0 critavo 12 Geese, Killer Axe: 22.0 atk, 9.8 AS, 88.2 hit, 34.5 crit - - 28.0 avo, 34.7 hp, 9.8 def, 0.2 res, 8.4 critavo 14 Noah, Steel Sword, C Fir: C/B Treck is a definite if you're using Treck, but I'm not including it here 19.1 atk, 11.1 AS, 96.6 hit, 6.8 crit - - 36.3 avo, 32.3 hp, 8.8 def, 1.7 res, 11.1 critavo all with weapons you can buy. Geese doubles more and crits much of the time, and the damage difference isn't much.
  15. This isn't a "who's best to use" tier list, or else Hector wouldn't be tiered either. It's a "who helps most with S-ranking" tier list.
  16. Oh sure, X+N differences is great, fair game. If you want to take it that far, you can. Draw the line wherever you want. Some people even cut out Hector due to him not being deselectable in unit deployment; he's forced, so why tier him? I'm simply in favor of including as many units as makes sense. Why leave anyone out? More units makes for a more interesting list. What makes sense is only a matter of perspective to a small degree. Even you can see that your ULE stuff makes no sense; you're just doing it for the sake of argument. They're very clearly not player units. Common sense is a large part of the difference between human thought and machines. We're all humans here. Don't act like we can't use common sense.
  17. The only difference between Merlinus and other units is his deployment. Terrain tiles, however, have a very large number of differences, with about the only similarities being that they are in the same game. The third difference in the hypothetical situations is that his/mine makes sense.
  18. If terrain tiles appeared on the unit list and followed you from chapter to chapter, and could be attacked and killed like other units, and even promoted, gaining the ability to move around, I would propose they be tiered as well.
  19. You do indeed have to use him. You have to choose to field him, and then his passive ability (much like support bonuses granted to others; this is also a passive bonus. Would you discount that too?) activates as long as he's alive. No, you can't ignore his existence. Not only do you have to field him, but also you must keep him alive. and...Indirect benefit is no worse than direct.
