Sometimes I feel like I should actually watch all the anime being released before calling them mediocre to atrocious, but then I remember that that would entail actually watching all the anime that I call mediocre to atrocious and decide not to. PS. Pretty much everything being released right now (save a few shows like Durarara!! and perhaps Baka to Test) are mediocre to atrocious.

I made a topic about women only being good for three things and made other references to the amazingly hilarious song , and Red Fox deleted the topic and warned me. Then I created a topic in Questions and Suggestions (back when it was an actual board) complaining about how they let a woman be moderator and how she should be in the kitchen, etc,etc. I was warned and suspended.

Hahahaha. Yeah, that was Crepe Knight's intro thread, where me and Death decided we would pretend that we had a huge grudge against Crepe Knight, and told him that we would pretend that, and then just went at it. It was pretty awesome. Oh yeah, I've had tons of warns for all sorts of things. Sadly, my warns for sexism got removed in the time warp. Bawwwwwwwwwwwww

I think banning things because they "cause X to think of Y as Z" is rather silly, unless it has been proven without a doubt to be true and irreversibly damaging. All of the Pro arguments tend to be based around that idea, so really, I must say I can't agree it should be banned.

Well yes, I must be honest, CBC is quite a bit better than CTV. I dunno, patriotism in general tends to piss me off, or at least what they try to peddle on us as patriotism. 8]

It's the way CTV and officials and whatnot drone on about how fucking great we are. Or how every time we didn't get a medal, or didn't get a gold, they spent so much fucking time justifying it, and saying stuff like "We didn't LOSE gold, we WON silver" for like 10 minutes. Or how people talked about Patriotism and Canadian Spirit so much. I personally was against the Olympics anyway, but I don't actually mind watching them. The problem was that the way PEOPLE seemed to treat somewhat disgusts me. Plus, all Canadians are pretty much assholes about hockey anyway.

Well, I for one thought we would continue the proud Canadian tradition of fucking up when it really matters. But honestly, this Olympics has made me considerably less proud to be Canadian. 8[

A socialist society can still have an elite. Besides, the descriptor elite is intended to describe their skill level, not some level of special privilege.

1) What I meant was that you seemed to not quite understand how minorities/majorities worked. I then pointed out what I meant, which was that when there is a MAJORITY, there are MORE, therefore the majority suffers less racism, and deals out more racism, if we assume that people are, on average, equally racist. I think you understood it after that post, but perhaps you didn't. 2)Alright. 3)Excellent. 4)The thing is though, even if we "fix the economy", unconscious/"background level" racism will still exist, and there will still be more people from certain minorities who are poor. I think that the first world still does have problems with racism and sexism to overcome, and while I agree somewhat that it sometimes can be against men, white people, and whatnot, there still exists a fair amount towards the traditional recipients.
