  1. Managed to beat the final lance mission by using two Light's Blessings. I've avoided using them anywhere else, so I figure a completely unfair mission is a reasonably appropriate use.
  2. Perhaps you got a Defense bonus and hadn't had it before, if that can be a factor?
  3. I don't think there needs to be a reason. Characters only have a certain number of skills; there's no need for all the Fates royalty to have one particular special attack skill series. I guess it's more on-theme, but she's not an exception to "only characters with dragon blood get the Draconic series". If it's possible to share that series among other dragon-blooded characters, I assume the possible candidates will include the rest of the Fates royalty.
  4. It's worth bearing in mind that Camilla, like all the Fates royalty, does have dragon blood, allowing her to use Dragon Vein.
  5. Yeah, this doesn't strike me as very appealing. Heroes has been really striking in how much of a better job it does of differentiating characters' abilities than previous FE games, and while that comes at the cost of restricting each character's own options, that's been shaping up quite well. So hopefully there are enough restrictions on this to not cheapen things. Perhaps all weapons will stay character-specific? That'd ensure a fair bit of differentiation, even if it's not as much as before. I think we can safely assume that song/dance will stay character-exclusive and that healing skills will only be available to healers, and I think it's likely that similarly, the counter skills will be character-exclusive and the breaker skills will be restricted to certain weapon types. I've seen unusual breaker allocations on enemies, but that doesn't necessarily reflect on player options.
  6. To be fair, they don't really have to. Lunatic maps are 10 levels higher and one star rank higher than Hard maps, but the last few Hard maps have levels in the 30s and with star ranks up to gold, so the final Lunatic maps can't keep increasing in level/rank where they're "supposed" to anyway. So I think it's fine for the Normal/Hard versions to keep increasing in level even if the Lunatic ones can't.
  7. The thing is that f!Robin has Blue Tomebreaker. That played a big role in guessing Ursula, but I'm inclined to trust any data-mining over that.
  8. Hmm, he's another blue cavalry like Ursula, so that does fit the hint as well, just not quite as directly.
  9. I've raised a character from lv1 to lv40 in about a day. If you have any decently tanky characters in the 20s, you should have plenty of time to get them to the mid-30s and deal with at least the lv25 version.
  10. Just got the final lance mission left now but dealing with Hector sounds awful. Oboro is my only Heavy Spear option; I'd like to get her to 4* before training her the the levels this demands but I'm out of feathers and I'm not sure I can get more before the end of the event, unless I burn a fuckton of crests to rush the final two Arena quests. Bleh.
  11. I got wrecked when I tried to bring in a normal team, but on my second try, Lilina was able to survive the initial turn just fine and then m!Robin helped with cleaning things up on the second turn. Not one of the more interesting maps: either you overpower them or you get crushed.
  12. They spend ungodly amounts of money - probably thousands of dollars.
  13. I just use them every time I hit 20, and I've gathered all the ones available so far. Not really concerned about which specific characters I get.
  14. A lot of Assists with fixed numerical effects don't stay effective at high levels, which could be addressed by making more powerful upgraded versions of Rally skills and certain heals. If weapons, special attacks, and most passive skills can have multiple upgrade levels, there's not much reason for Rally skills to only have one and for a lot of healers to not get a heal powerful enough to be meaningful later in the game.
  15. It doesn't matter. You just need at least one to get your score doubled.
  16. It wasn't difficult once I figured out what to do, but it was quite repetitive. Specials would definitely help, but even then, I feel like you'd need an extremely sturdy character to kill the armor without some kind of healing.
  17. My current score is 4,290 for a rank of 8,210, but it was about 7,500 a few hours ago with the same score. Will have to try again without deaths and with more levels on Hector and Odin: they're almost at 40 but not quite. No defense yet.
  18. Even with armorslayers, it can be frustratingly difficult to complete the 7-3 mission. My Selena couldn't deal a single point of damage to the armor even at lv30 and with her triangle expert skill unequipped. My only way of dealing damage to it in a way that my team wouldn't run out of HP first was to have my 5* Marth chip at it, then run away for 7-8 turns to heal with Falchion: even with a supporting Atk boost and at lv40, he was only dealing 2x2 damage, so the map ended up taking 95 turns to complete.
  19. I've been keeping and training at least one copy of every unit I get. I'd be plenty happy to get a Seliph, even if only for collectability and potential future use somehow.
  20. Last week, I managed to hit about 4480 with my 5* team of Tiki/Marth/Robin/Merric. I was able to get Advanced enemies offering a max score of around 640, so fighting seven in a row deathless makes 4480. This week, I have Hector, but I also have to use 4* Odin. This seems to be evening out well enough, since with them both not quite at 40, I've been getting battles in the 630s. I haven't managed to pull off a deathless streak yet, though.
  21. From what I understand, it is indeed the case that having at least one bonus character doubles your score but having multiple does no better than one.
  22. Do bonus characters affect your defense score, or is it just offense? Most teams I've fought haven't had one, although they could just not be updated yet.
  23. It's a good idea to have at least one character that can effectively deal with each major threat you encounter often. Having all three colors can play a big role in doing that, although there can be alternatives. Personally, with the characters I've trained by now, I don't feel like I'd be likely to want to break from covering all the colors anytime soon, but you may get different results depending on who you get or don't get. I've found Merric fantastic as a green, although I'm not using him at the moment to avoid having double greens since I just got Hector. Hector is also noteworthy as an enemy: he's easy to deal with if you have melee reds who can take a hit and hit back hard, but I wouldn't want to face him without one.
  24. My guess is that the characters from the next Focus group will be the bonus characters for next week, like how the current Focus characters were added to this week's bonus even though they were released a few days before. There should be four of them, so they wouldn't even fit in the three open slots anyway.
  25. Looks like the Arena will be staying chaotic. I do like the incentive to constantly be training new characters that might not have been relevant before, especially with some degree of choice: it's the same thing I think the weapon missions do really well. Although this particular lineup is frustratingly small. I have all three of the non-Focus ones at 4*, but while Narcian is my favorite and highest-leveled, I feel like Odin is the way to go, especially because I want to use Hector.
