  1. You wouldn't "accidentally" get one. You have to select the option to have a new support conversation for it to happen, like all the others, and it seems in this game at S rank you even get a warning about only having one per character. Plus, you can see right off the bat how many support levels a pair of characters can have; you have it right in your face that they go up to S even while just selecting a C support.
  2. The idea of Samus being male was never used as a part of an advertising point for the game. For Fates, "you are blood related to the Hoshido siblings" was critical to the main advertising point of the game's story. Plus you do realize that that game's been out longer than most people here have been alive, right? It's ridiculous to call people out for not being frustrated about a "twist" that was part of how they initially became familiar with the character.
  3. Steel weapons are handled fine, although it's also a lot like what they did for weapon weight until they gradually started nerfing it from FE5 onwards and eventually took it out entirely. Silver weapons are difficult to justify using but sometimes you just need that extra power boost; they're good to have on hand even if you can't use them regularly. I feel like it was handled better with the Beaststones, where the best one has the same penalty as Silver weapons but it also has an especially large power boost as well as an increased Speed boost in exchange for a larger Defense penalty. The superior My Castle for Invisible Kingdom is definitely odd. I get what they're going for, especially given that it's bonus content, but it probably could've been handled better.
  4. Wait I swear there's a boss that has Vengeance despite having Nosferatu as their only weapon; I think they're in Velour's chapter. So what the hell.
  5. Female Corrin isn't exactly great either; she has the whole battle panties deal. Seems like Corrin in general was not handled well. Lack of skin color options is definitely an issue. You can grind supports in Nohr via My Castle battles; it's the only way I got any of the kids. You won't get Exp or weapon levels, though.
  6. Yeah I also died to Nohr 14 Magic Counter but it was just because I forgot the boss had it so I didn't try other strategies, which turned out to work just fine once I got back to that point. There are enemies with Counter, Magic Counter, or even both, and they're perfectly manageable.
  7. Based on the enemies, it seems they have to carry the item with them and then expend it with a special attack command, like Cut Through. Unlike Line of Death, it doesn't work on the enemy phase, although of course Line of Death has downsides.
  8. No one cares about the endings; it's about losing access to playable kids you'd get other ways.
  9. Okay, I tested all my Corrins. All of them have -Luck. One has +Def like the one I posted previously and has the same bonuses at all support levels. Another has +Spd; he gives +1 Luck at C and +1 Luck, +1 Def at B but I don't have higher support levels to check on that file. The last one has +Str; he gives +1 Skl at C, +1 Skl and +1 Def at B, +1 Skl, +1 Spd, and +1 Def at A, and +1 Str, +1 Skl, +1 Spd, +1 Def, and +1 Res at S. So it appears that with at least with Luck held constant as a flaw, Corrin adds +1 Def at B, +1 Spd at A, and +1 Res at S, along with also adding +1 to the Asset stat at S, but the C rank bonus is some non-Asset stat that nonetheless changes with Asset. Changing the Flaw may or may not affect things; this seems consistent with all reported data but Luck is also the default Flaw and I imagine few people change it.
  10. No one said it didn't. That said, I don't believe any past FE game has had an option for having a kid with your sibling during the game's own timespan, let alone eight such options.
  11. Flaw is Luck. It's close, and I'm sure someone could get the listed C-A values with the right build, but judging from the above mention of Str getting replaced with Skl instead, it does seem to vary a bit.
  12. It's probably +1 to the Asset stat, yeah. Hrm. Dark Knight normally gives +3 Str, +3 Def, and +1 Move. My (+Def) Corrin as a Dark Knight gives those bonuses with no supports, adds +1 Res with C support, +1 Def and +1 Res with B support, +1 Spd, +1 Def, and +1 Res with A support, and +1 Spd, +2 Def, and +2 Res with S support. That doesn't fit at all; the Str bonus is missing. Zero's bonuses, on the other hand, are perfectly consistent with the ones listed. Same with Azura. My conclusion is that most of these are right, but Corrin's bonuses do not fully account for their variability.
  13. It probably increases the enemy's ability to double attack by 5, just like a Javelin. The ingame description is weirdly worded and doesn't make a distinction between decreasing your ability to double attack and increasing the enemy's ability to double attack.
  14. Bullshit. A few activation rates change nothing. Skill and Luck are still completely worthless while Speed is still absolutely critical and one of the most important, and that'll never change until they revamp the concrete properties of the stats. --- Most of the nerfs are good, barring ones that make weapons basically unviable. Awakening was broken as fuck and needed a lot of adjustments, and they pulled it off. But there are some issues. -Outfits, especially for female knights. What the fuck. -Some map designs are really cool but others are pretty bad, where they lead to really odd and uninteresting gameplay or are far too easy to end in a single turn. -Certain chapters don't let you save between them. -Gender locked classes still aren't really gone. -Personal skills don't seem good enough. -Weapon icons. -No kids for married gay couples. -Soleil.
  15. The list of bonuses looks fine and are only a tiny bit off from what I've been reporting; idk about anyone else. In Fates, by using Guard Stance with a promoted-level class, you get 13 total stat points with an S support and 11 points with an A support. In Awakening, by using Pair Up with a promoted-level class and either an A or S support, you get total bonuses ranging from 12-16 points if all stats are in the 0-9 range up to 33-37 points if all stats are 30+. That's a huge difference.
  16. It'd take more detailed analysis to be sure, but based on the small but varied increases per support level, it's almost certainly true.
  17. It doesn't take away their weapon; it takes away their clothes. Exactly as it says. If you're familiar with Sophie's skill, it's the same effect.
  18. Okay, that explains things. I'd been wondering where those other turrets were. :p Regarding recruitment, Nacht is the boss in Sophie's Paralogue and Gazzak is the boss in Foleo's. I think Haitaka is the boss of Nohr Ch9 but I'm not certain.
  19. Also, even though Witch can use dark magic like Sorcerers, it has to give up a skill slot for it. It doesn't outclass anything; every other class has some advantages. Plus from what I understand Sorcerer has some inbuilt combat bonuses like +10 crit; I don't know if Witch is confirmed to get bonuses at all or ones that are as good.
  20. Not workable. It didn't do that before, it wouldn't give the class weapon levels to work with, and it'd make several classes have access to four weapon types when the stats screen only has room to display three.
  21. Well, you can use Shadowgift to pick up the one dark tome available.
  22. There's a Dark Mage skill called Bind that cuts adjacent enemies' Avoid by 20.
